What's next for Volume 2

Tim: That's a very big question, but as you can see the title of Volume 2 is "Generations," which means we are going to deal with the idea of the multiple generations of these people who have discovered their powers. Clearly, Hiro has landed himself in a very unique situation and expect the first part of next season to find him there dealing with new adventures.

And the fate of several of our characters is in the balance and you'll just have to stay tuned to discover what the ultimate outcome is.

i just finished watching the second season final and it was awsome
we finally saw peter use his powers witch was awsome and we saw scyler get his powers back witch for some reason maid me get excited and happy, i couldnt stand watching him without his powers but he got by without them
it would be cool if in season 3 we get to see what the last generations group was and what there powers are and for the younger generation to form there own little group like we see when nathan goes up to give that speach and gets shot, it would also be awsome if peter just goes back in time and saves his brother and i dont see how that isnt gana be part of the story line bc it would be so easy for to do it so i see no reason why it wouldn't happen

When D.J. phased his hand through Linderman's head, he could have gotten some brain with him. Perhaps all Sylar needs to absorb a person's power is to look at, or be in unobstructed contact with, someone's brain. This could be how he manages to survive Hiro's attack.

Kudos to the show. I'm in agreement with most everyone here that my Mondays are reserved solely for Heroes.

Why wasn't the Hatian in the finale? what happened to him?

Peter couldn't use any powers because he was absorbing 4 powers he'd never absorbed before (think about it) plus he was absorbing 4-5 of Sylar's that he'd only briefly been around before. So that's at least 8 powers his body is reacting too, and he can't control the nuclear one, so boom he goes.

WOW!!! What and ending! What an incredibly well written show. My monday nights have revolved around Heroes ever since the series aired. The most entertaining plot and characters of any television show I've ever watched. Whoever does the casting for the show did an incredible job. I can't wait to see more!
I just have a few questions..
Why did Peter need Nathan to fly up into the sky? Why couldn't he just fly himself?

In the last scene Nathan flew in and responded to Claire's comment "there must be another way" even though he wasn't there when she said it in the first place.. how did he hear what she said?

You guys are awesome! I'm sure season 2 will be just as engaging as the first.

So I was incredibly disappointed by that finale. For all of those powers that Peter never seemed to figure out how to use, and all of that potential that he had with absorbing power. I never saw the full effect of any of it. All he did was whine about how he was afraid and then when the moment finally came, all he ended up doing was punch the crap out of Sylar?? And Sylar didn't die? OK, cool - I love his character, so that was cool. But there wasn't so much of a clue as to whether Nathan or Peter survived. Peter could have flown himself. Nathan didn't have to be there but it was nice and emotional that he was - NY was saved, yippee. He could have just as easily flown away from the exploding Peter who DOES have the power to regenerate... but I wish it wasn't so ambiguous... so as to make us all watching. The writing was incredible and there were some unexpected scenes but (Peter talking with Mr. DeVeaux?)... I think this would have been better off as several feature films. And so now we're left with Hiro back in the day with the original Kensei, perhaps?

That's all I have to say. I'm still debating as to whether I'll watch ever again.

Needless to say, what is Mrs. Petrelli's power? What about the father - something for Season 2? What exactly does Sylar do to take power - he just cuts off heads? Where is his father? Don't tell me that Peter, Sylar, and Nathan all actually have the same father. What's with all this dysfunctional family stuff? K, I'm done... maybe.

Wow, Heroes is such an exciting show, it just blows my mind out. I never knew, someone could have such an amagination to think of something like this, heck i probably won't. :)

Speaking of which, I understand there is some secrecy to what happens to characters in future episodes (no pu intended). Do you remember how you reacted when Sylar was able to kill Claire in the future a couple of episodes ago?

Hi, Tim Kring and Hayden Panettierre. This was the best season finale I have ever seen, next to LOST and Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. What I mostly want to know is whether Sylar is really dead? I don't know, I really like Sylar. It's weird. Please let Sylar come back. He can die when its all over.

I liked the ending, but some of the people do have a point. How would the ending have been any worse by Claire shooting Peter, or by Peter jumping and flying by himself. Of course, he was probably a little bit overwhelmed by the fact that he was about to explode, but overall,it wasn't the dramatic ending it could have been.

Here was a better ending I made in my theory.

I believe the season will end with New York exploding. Peter's vision will come true in a sense. The slow mo shot we saw where everyone runs to him will be the same. But if you notice Simone is in it and she is now dead. So that can only mean that Simone is Candice Wilmer. She doesn't just shape shift but like Mysterio creates illusions. Candice will create the illusion that Peter "saved" New York by controlling his powers. Then our Heroes will be whisked away by Swat Team or Police and evacuated. Once outside New York Peter will see a giant mushroom cloud (like 24 Jack Bauer) and realize the Nuclear Man did explode. Candice tricked them and Nuclear Man remained to explode somewhere (possibly against his will) all because of Linderman. He wants NY to explode so he can profit off it's reconstruction and put options. The scheme is similar to that of Le Chiffe in Casino Royale (2006). So that's my theory on the end.

Hi. Congratulations on completing the season. It's one of the best television series I've ever seen. I can't wait for the next season.

One thing that really bothered me, though. There were several references to Peter being able to survive the explosion because he has Claire's regeneration. It seems like a huge stretch to me that someone with her powers could survive having every molecule ripped apart and scattered across several thousand square miles when it's been demonstrated that she can be killed permanently simply by removing her brain. Besides, Ted hasn't been harmed by his radioactive emmissions even when they're powerful enough to burn the skin off of someone standing a few feet away, so it really isn't necessary.

hayden, I must say that the reason I started watching this show was because of you. Whenever you appeared I got really excited. The thing I enjoyed, though, was that the plot kept me hooked.

I thought the finale of volume one was an exceptionally well-done episode that tied everything together and pretty much made everything from “Genesis” forward make sense. However, because “Heroes” has taken so many risks and steps forward this season, my question is: how do you plan to top it for next season? I know “Heroes: Origins” will provide a unique way for viewers to interact with the show but is there anything else that will really set the second season apart from this one? Also, I am curious as to why you moved away from wanting to create a whole new group of “Heroes” to wanting to use the same characters from this season? I actually prefer the latter more, but I was just curious why the decision was made to change.

I would love to compliment you both on a job well done in each of your respective departments; Tim for creating the most original and fascinating show on television, and Hayden for helping to bring it to full gear on the screen.

I would be interested to ask how much you, Hayden, will be in the Second season, as the teaser at the end of Episode 23 have shown Hiro in the past. Will we be seeing many of our Heroes returning next season, and if so, how will that be happening? I guess that question is also for Tim too, since you've made this possible.

Also, I would love to know how it felt to finish creating this epic first season.

Regarding Heroes: Origins, will there be mainstream characters interacting with the new characters each week? I wouldn't think it would be many, just one or two if at all. Would love to hear any more information on that.

I know Heroes Origins is only going to build on this new form of television, but I would love to know what you have in store next.

well that was a very good episode... very good... Many people said that nathan flying peter into the sky was too predictable and wouldnt be good enough... I thought that too when i heard the theory... but then i saw it just now and it was definitely good enough...

lol... now for a question... Heroes has always been very fan oriented... lots of fan involvement... I dont know if this has been asked or thought up before, but has the various fan fiction that the fans have done (Whether it be done on 9thwonders.com or any other fan site for Heroes)ever influenced something on the show?

Oh, and I'll never forget seeing you in Remember the Titans when I was in the 7th grade. It still amazes me that I'm only a year older than you, but you were great in that movie. =] Stay sweet!

My question is , is season two going to take a turn like X-men did where magneto allied with the x-men to battle apocalypse, but in this case the not so dead Sylar would team up with *team petrelli* to battle the BAD guy that that little girl saw ?
