Heroes Origins

Tim: The idea was to try to do about half a dozen episodes that are stand-alone episodes dealing with the origin stories of characters all around the world who are waking up with the discovery of these unique abilities. They are not connected necessarily to the show Heroes, but if you do watch or are a fan of Heroes, you'll see tiny little clues that tie into the show.

The intention was to do almost a Rod Sterling type of story telling. Cautionary tales and morality tales. Dealing with these people with unique abilities. So they're completely stand-alone episodes that don't follow a serialized formula.

Some of the stories in Origins can be similar to characters currently on Heroes and one of the people on Origins may be involved on Heroes, eventually...

If I could be on Origins, I would like to be able to break anything that I touch when I want to. Or electromagnism (but we already have Elle), or fire starting (like Meredith). but yea, if I could be on Origins, I would settle for any power....

No way man the best power would to be in a constant flux of evolution...I mean think about it, if you get burned then your skin becomes fireproof, or being able to understand a language by staring at it or not having to breath

I was just wondering where you can sign up for Heroes: Origins auditions ..

wanted to try and pass my regards on while I had this chance. I have a genetic disorder, Ehlers Danlons Syndrome. It means pain and embarassment for me. It is like most mutations. Your show wasn't the first by any means to feature the idea of genetic mutation but it was the first in a long while to show 'powers' or mutations as unwanted. And to allow the most important elements of the show to be the human drama that is experienced by normal people living with an abnormal set of circumstances. This has meant the world to me.

I would just like to add and to ask. You have said that Heroes Origins will be in essense a morality play. Extending this theme of stressing the human element of the drama over the powers each charachter had. Will you ever feature a charachter who is not a traditional heroe but has a genetic disorder or disease that exists in the real world?

if i had a power it would ether be the ablity to merge with other heroes or kinetic absorption!

When can we expect Origins to start?

You said Heroes Origin will be stand-alone episodes with subtle tie-ins. Does that mean we will see other Hereos characters in them?? Grandma Patrelli, Hiro's dad, And Simone's dad??
