Enjoy!

I almost forgot!

NBC.com will be posting video and pictures from tonight's wrap party on the Heroes site by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 18th. So come back and check it out - video of Greg's band, red carpet interviews and pix of the party goers!

I'm sleepy now..Toni in NYC (er, Florida), go to bed! :)

As I'm Winding Down...

That's ME winding down, not the party.

These folks have plenty to celebrate. Earlier Tim Kring gave a speech to the cast and crew thanking them for the amazing first season. Now it seems to be a giant jam session on the stage. People aren’t really dancing so much as just moving to the beat. At about 10:30 Hayden took to the stage and sang an Alanis Morrisette song..so cool!

Final observations...Milo held court next to the bar for hours with a gaggle of fans/friends surrounding him; James Denton spent some time roaming around in a t-shirt and jeans - and not to promote that other show - but looks just as good in person; despite the tech problems, many many thanks to those who stopped by to blog and send messages to fans - the curiousity grew as the night went on and people saw Masi, Milo etc blogging.

I hope you all enjoyed the blog and the window into the world of the wrap party. We are hoping that Tim Kring and Hayden Panetierre will join us for a live blog after the May 21st season finale so stay tuned!

Special thanks to Dana R. who made this entire night possible! Xoxo HB

From Nate, the DP

Hi, I’m one of the.two Directors of Photography on Heroes. I started operating the camera on the pilot and then on the series, with the opportunity to shoot an extensive simultaneous unit from Episode 2. So, about 40 % of every episode up to 13 I was able to contribute to as a DP. It was great to be able to function in this capacity under the auspices of my old friend and colleague, John Aronson, the first DP of the show. We always tried our best to create the look that Tim Kring was looking for and I must say from out perspective that the opportunity to work on a show that was so outside the norm for TV was nothing but a blessing. For more specific info about what we do to specifically help create the look of the show refer to an article in the International Cinematographers Guild Magazine at www.cameraguild .com and click on the April issue of the magazine. Dudes, you can’t understand what it’s like to shoot a huge feature on a weekly basis in TV. Cheers, Nate

Shout Outs

Yes - everyone is still partying...for those of you diehards who are still reading this blog on Tuesday night!

Here are a few more shouts from cast and crew:
I want to say a shout out to my friends on the east coast from Erin F. I’m an assistant and I built the lamps at this party…and hung them!

Hey out there! Michael Green here – one of the writers in a sea of awesome cast and crew at the huge wrap party. If you happen to come on by I recommend the mac and cheese. It’s right by the bar. Zach Quinto (our sylar, hardly as frightening in person as on screen) just told me that jack coleman is about to get on stage and SING! As if the bastard wasn’t a talented enough actor, he can also sing like a god. I’d like to send a special thanks to all of you out there who’ve been so friggin’ dedicated to the show that you’re willing to read our blogs and notes and pay such close attention to all the online details. It’s fans like you that make all the work worth it! I know that sounds like one of those BS things people say to get a sound bite, but around here, we really mean it. We have the greatest fans ever. Sorry I can’t add any huge spoilers to that thought… but tim kring is within an arm’s reach and he’ll fire my ass if I do. Later!

[and just so you know - this is HB posting here - Jack Coleman DID sing a Beatles song with the band after Sheila E. coaxed him onto the stage!]

Hi...Jesse Alexander here! Thanks for supporting the show...we can't believe it's the end of the first season!! You've been amazing! We make the show for you guys. Everyday we're trying to top ourselves. Masi is here...he's pushing me out of the way. He already blogged, and probably gave away a bunch of spoilers. Don't believe anything he says!!!

Hi you guys! It's Zach Quinto aka Sylar. A couple of vodkas in at the party and having a good time! How's everybody doing?! I had such a good time this year and a lot of that is because of all of your support of the show and of my character on the show. So thank you all for that, on many levels! Things are about to get crazy for the end of the season! Some shit goes down, for real... Of course, I can't give any of that shit away,k but suffice it to say that I don't think you'll be disappointed. All I can say about the future of Sylar is...LOOK OUT! Gone but not forgotten, is as good a way to go as any...right?! Maybe I will show my evil brows again...if I'm lucky. The last episode is going to be DA BOMB! Stay tuned and stay well and stay in Sylar's corner...he's not all bad. Way deep down, he's just a little kid...somewhere. Maybe we'll find him together...all my best. ZQ

Hey everyone! I'm Wendy Melvoin...I'm the composer for the show with my partner Lisa Coleman. We're here at the wrap party for Heroes...MY GOD THIS IS GREAT!!! Sheila E. and Lisa and I are being asked to jam with the house band tonight. Sooooo...we're waiting for our call to the stage. I can't begin to tell you how great it's been for us to do this show. We are free to create music that speaks to us personally and by doing so our hearts speak true to the narrative of each episode. It's been a pleasure for us to score these shows each week! With only a short amount of turn around on each episode. Which means usually we have 3 days to create 30 minutes of original music each week! We do not re-use music cues so we are VERY busy. The only thing that's hard is being away from family. Ok, I think we're being called. I hope we don't have play the blues...Wendy.

Sword Fight!!

Hey there...it's Masi! Thanks for all your support on the show. Upcoming things for Hiro...well, he's got the sword now, so there'll be some sword fighting...aka ass kicking! Gotta go party now, ciao!!

The Band & Oh yeah, MILO

Greg's band ("Band from TV") is playing...Greg is on drums and James Denton (from Desperate Housewives) is on guitar. I met a couple of the other guys at the sound check...band members are always cool. The singer is also an actress, Bonnie Sommerville, from NYPD Blue.

Here's another guest post that you'll love:

Milo here - I hear some of you are looking to get married. I am single, so keep your fingers crossed!! Let's see...what can I tell you about the next couple episodes. Nothing you don't already know...I BLOW UP!! I don't have many answers about next year, but I know it's gonna be great!

HRG

As predicted, the more folks settle in, the more they are willing to blog! I'm trying to get an answer on the Ando question (is he gonna get a girlfriend?)...

Tim Sale is here, and oddly enough, so is Hugh Laurie from House! They are both NBC Universal shows, so I guess it makes sense.

Here are some more guest posts:

Hi from writers Adam and Kay...just saying hello and looking forward to the final episodes. They will be fantastic!

Hi from Jack Coleman! Have faith that Claire and Mr. Bennett will be reunited. All of our main characters wind up in New York. Some for good, some for ill. The fate of New York hangs in the balance and it's a very dramatic/cinematic finale. In episode 20, HRG has glasses that no one has ever seen before. And let me just say, that you MIGHT learn HRG's first name!! Can you guess what it is??

Wine and Guests

Cobblestone Vineyard has provided the wine for the party and I'm enjoying the cabernet. It's a Napa Valley cab and they also have Monterey chardonnay.

P.S. Hi to Carol, from PJ and Camilla!

And here are some other guest posts...

I'm here with Noah aka Micah...we asked what the hardest thing was about this season, and he said:
"To tell you the truth, it wasn't that hard. The hardest thing is trying to balance school with work. On a scale of 1-10, this year was a 10! I'd like to tell you what's going to happen next, but I can't!! Thanks for being so supportive and watching the show."

Hi, this is Ali Larter's best friend on the show, Texas Tina. I'm wearing an outfit by Madison Brown and having a blast! Look for more Tina in next season's show!!

- - - - -

Hello to fans from the costume department! My name's Laura, I'm the costume supervisor and a costumer designer is here too. We have to dress at least 20 people plus extras every single episode! We buy a lot of multiples...we probably had a dozen of Claire's cheerleader uniform because soooo many things happened to her!

April 17, 08:22 PM

Wrap Fashion

So a few of you asked me to describe what everyone's wearing...let's see if I can answer.

Most folks are dressy casual, with the LA uniform of jeans and a nice top. In fact, Hayden is wearing jeans, a khaki blazer, red pumps and a nice blouse. Ali Larter is wearing a beautiful babydoll style dress by Miguelina ...she was very nice and says hello to all the fans! I also saw "DL" (Leonard Roberts) and Mrs. Petrelli, Nathan and Peter's mom (Christine Rose.)

So far that's it, but it's pretty full now so I'll stay on the lookout.

P.S. I just saw Tim Kring!!

April 17, 08:02 PM

Advantages

Here are the advantages of my blog spot:

1. It's near a bar.
2. It's near a bathroom.
3. It's on the way to the dance floor.

I figure eventually everyone will want to do one of these three things, right?! I also keep getting up and walking around to see if anything exciting is going on. A lot of the cast are apparently out on the red carpet and will be in soon! In fact, I just saw "Isaac" ... VERY cute!!

A lot of people here must be crew members or folks from the Studio and the Network - I put those in caps because they're Important ;) )

Someone asked about food earlier, but I told you about the main course. But I'm addicted to these little artichoke things with humus that they keep passing around. Yummy!!

So far I haven't had time to actually grab a plate of food. It would be my luck that I have a mouthful and Milo V. drops by to chat.

April 17, 07:50 PM

The Food

question from: jen the fangirl

It looks like comfort food. There's roast beef, chicken, sweet potatoes, broccoli, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and some caprese salad. I'm holding out for dessert, personally. *wink wink*

April 17, 07:49 PM

Curiosity

I've gotten a few curious onlookers at the blog station...so far no takers to post their own message, but the night is young! I figure after they get their bellies full *wink wink* and have a few drinks, people might be more apt to participate. What do you think?

April 17, 07:30 PM

It's Filling Up

The place is filling up...with people *and* food. I saw "Micah" with his parents. As well as lots of crew members. Executive Producer, Dennis Hammer dropped by a few times to read some comments. He was either giddy with excitement or just ecstatic that they had finally wrapped this amazing season. Either way, he couldn't stop smiling.

April 17, 07:14 PM

Cabana Club

Cabana Club is in Hollywood on a street called Ivar...from the outside it's like most "cool clubs". It's a nondescript doorway with no signage. It's across the street from the famed Cinerama Dome and Arclight Theatre. The red carpet snakes out front past the electronic crews and still photographers. Then you enter a short hallway into a large patio complete with a "pool" (like a little river through the patio.) Lined with cabanas, the patio confirms the club's name. Left is an interior space, where I'm located. A small bar area gives way to a sunken dance floor and larger bar area. This is where the band is set up. Scattered throughout the entire space are large blown-up images of all of Isaac's artwork, which is really cool.

So stay tuned...I'm sure there's much more to come. And thanks for your patience between posts!

Technical Difficulties

Hi all...

I have good news and bad news...good news first: George Takei and Malcolm McDowell are here!! Woohoo!

Now for the bad news...we're having some technical difficulties but we're working feverishly to get them resolved. So hold tight - we're working on it!

I'm IN!

Hi Heroes Fans it's HB here (that's Heroes Blogger for those who haven't read the first post. :)
I arrived at The Cabana Club early to make sure that
a. the computer worked
b. I could get in
c. I actually had a place to sit. :)

Yes on all three! Right now folks are still setting up. Looks like there will be a DJ AND a live band. The band is doing a sound check right now. Rumor has it that it's Greg Grunberg's (aka "Matt") band...and that Hayden may even sing a song tonight!

More later -
