hello mr. Kring. This is the second chapter I see from the serie. In Caracas / Venezuela. it only have 2 chapters or weeks. and I am writing you from here. to tel you that this is really a great step in the comics world.
I am being readings comics till 8 years old, and from that to know I´m drawing, studing and have a realy near relation whit comics industry.
I like a lot when DC came out whit Batman, Marvel have being doing and excelet job whit his X-men. Spawn and Darkness could not be let at least, and now you and your team are doing your self giving us a comic serie totally create for TV.
Wow!. Yes, it is very emotonional, because this is the second chapter and I can not stay behind the edge of my seat. It´s a great history... Fantastic!!. It has an excellent script.
Sylar looks very complex and a little bit of gore and it make him interesting to me. Because he is human and may be he is very confused tring to understand what it is happenig to him... I like more antagonistic character because their always more deep and complex than a "superhuman".

You've heard it a million times already, I'm sure, but I'll validate it again - excellent show!!!
I am a late bloomer to the series, having not even heard about it prior to mid December (yes, I've been living under a rock - actually, we don't have T.V. at home). But, thanks to the power of the internet, I am now caught up, and also, since I am aware of the show, Monday night has become laundry night (did I mention they have a television set at the laundry mat?)
Anyway, knowing that you are not at liberty to give away much of the show, I do have a few questions I hope you can answer.
1. Linderman: will he remain a non-seen msytery character, much like Charlie in Charlie's Angels?
2. Linderman: he carries too many coincidences to several of the heroes not to know of their unique abilities. Will he be revealed as their leader (either on the good side or bad side), and is he the man Bennet answers to?
3. Is Sylar a rogue bad guy, or is he being groomed to be the leader of an anti-hero organization (such as Ted, Niki/Jessica, and, yes, Nathan (there's never room at the top for two brothers with special abilities, so it only seems natural that one of them will eventually take the opposite stand of the other, and since Peter seems to be the one slated for good, that leave Nathan to join the forces of evil). Besides, who ever heard of a "good" politician??)
4. Can you clear up the Niki/Jessica storyline? Her role does not yet tie into the agendas of the other characters. Thus far, she's been a pawn in Linderman's chess game to blackmail Nathan, and from the last episode, Linderman has plans for her, hence the full release from prison. But she most definitely does not have any hero attributes - she possesses super human strength that has only been used for personal bad reasons, and she cannot keep the "Hyde" part of her in control - it controls her. Hence, my belief that she will turn to the dark side.
5. In episode 2, Parkman finds the little girl that hid from Sylar. We see the father, frozen and sans brain, indicating he had an ability, and the mother, pinned to the wall, who was just in the way. In the following episode, we see Sylar trying to take the little girl from the police station. Since Sylar is only interested in finding people to "absorb" their abilities, and he made a concerted effort to come back for the girl, does she have an ability, and will we see her in a future episode - possibly the "one" who can stop Sylar?
Anyway, enough of my ramblings. Keep up the awesome plots, twists, and turns. I can't wait to see what's up the road.

I'm a fan of Heroes and I wondered a power that I didn't see in anwywhere. (hehehe I think)
Think a hero that can control his body's liquids and glans. For example, he estimulate himself producing adrenaline or Bile (liquid from hepatocities) to dizzy the enemies. He (or she) control all the things that are produced by the body. Sweat, saliva, frast and aother things and eliminate them from the veins or othersorifice (in the hands or something else).
If you use this idea, can you let this hero be a brazilian? It would be very cool. Why not the girl from Marabá/PA that are alluded in the firsts episodes.

What is with these shortened seasons? I lost interest in The 4400 because of this. Many other good shows go by the wayside because of this scheduling.

It's so good to be able to watch a show that allows you to imagine what it would be like to have SPECIAL abilities and how you could/would make a difference. Well instead of giving a long opinionated story on how I feel I will be short and sweet. (Mainly because the page refresh is so annoying that I even had to type this in notepad as to not lose what I was typing, OH I also can't read thru the blogs as every 120 secs the page refreshes. Please fix this, Jeez.) The story and concept are good. (Of course it’s from a comic book.) The directing is good. The fact that its one of those annoying shows that never leaves you satisfied by the end of the show, not good. Seeing as the show is full of cliffhangers till the next show and next show and next show. Basically this is a DVR show. Record the whole season and watch it all at once or you will want to kill the director at the end of each show for thinking we enjoy this kind of TV cliffhanging. If the whole season goes by and leaves you with an incomplete story then off the DVR it goes never to be recorded or watched again. Another good show turned bad for TV and its ratings. (Hmm? maybe that’s why people watch reality shows is at least there is some sense of fulfillment at the end of each show, not cliffhanger central.). The last episode to date left me with a sour taste in my mouth for TV shows. Even though I enjoyed the first 10 episodes, OH that’s right I watched them all back to back on the DVR. NO WONDER. Note to self: Please don’t watch this show anymore until the whole season is on the DVR and prey that the final episode doesn’t leave you with more questions then answers. Oh well not so short and sweet.
Surface and Invasion both got taken off the air and we did everything in our power to save the shows.. so enjoy being a star for today i might not last and the fans will be forced to move on.. why doesnt nbc and other stations listen to what WE want??

I can't believe that is why more shows aren't serialized. You honestly think it is because a loyal fan base won't find the time to watch? That is garbage The best most involved shows I have watched had continuity form one episode to another. That was a big part of what made them great. Shows with out continuity lack the depth to keep you constantly coming back for more. If you enjoy the show enough you will find the time to make sure you don't miss one.

Has anyone else noticed a correlation with the #11? I am just saying this because I am a person that sees the #11 all over the place, its one of those weird coincidences in my life and I have seen it a lot in the show. For instance, Jessica Sanders was 11 she died, Issac's painting said that Peter would die at 8:11. Has anybody noticed anything else?

If you need a character idea I always wanted to see one with thermal transfer powers, makes it cold in one spot and hot in another, with all the thermodynamic effects that would cause. Maybe related to their emotional state, very angry - heats up area they're looking at, and cools the area immediatedly around themselvs etc,.

I thought I would give the show a shot; watch for an episode or two. I think NBC should put old Bob Ross “How to Paint,” in Heros place, it would be more exciting and makes a point each and every episode.

The show is just great, I love the idea of super powers for hte youth of our world. Ingenius! However, I realize that some episodes claim to show parts of India, especially I believe Chennai. My beef with that is, its not very realistic, I mean, Chennai is in the southern part of India, however your actors look like they are part of North India, its very ambiguous. I don't know being an India, I'd like to keep the geographical
aspects of the world pretty accurate.

The show confuses me and usually I'm the one that gets the plot of sci-fi. There is too much information all at once, too many characters, too much to process in one hour. Very confusing. The gore really confuses me more - as it seems to be underlying the running plot but not enough to truly connect it up together. At least for me.
I believe Nathan will attend to his brothers{peter's} imprisonment. which is why we see him "zooooomin" down the interstate, thus, taking a plunge into the water barrols
between the fork of the highway. also I believe that Claire will begin to discover more of her Power. Niki/Jessica/D.L./and/Mikah will find and decommission lenderman. Hiro and Ando and Charlie will meet and declare the next event for all the "HEROES".
And last but not least, the monster in the painting will probably be making it's presents known in either the 10-or-11or-12th episode.

A mate a sent me over copys of 1 to 8 of the show. I watched the first episode and had to go to work.
I enjoy it and spent the day thinks whats going to happen next.
I got home and thought i would watch the next episode. It's now 7 hours later.
I allways laughed at people, that got hoked on soaps etc.
But i now find my self looking up on the nbc site, to see how long i have to wait for the set of episodes. To my shame i find my self hoked. Welldone on a great show, I cant wait for it to get to England. p.s The nbc web site is pants. Why can't i watch episodes on the rewind bit of the site. why does it keep moving me of the post your comments page and back to the blog page. Calm down...this is what the show is suppoed to do. It's building us all up. I agree that there are wayyyyy too many commercials, I don't think that there has been any show in history to have this many commercials...it is disapointing! However...the show is one the greatest shows ever made! I hope there are many seasons to come!!!
Worse than the slow plot development is being subject to only 4.5 minutes of show and 5 minutes of commercials - without tivo, watching the show is rather painful.

Probably one of the cons of the 2 minute bits is being able to confirm the bloopers. An example is last week's scene where Niki is fighting with her husband. In the long shots, his right hand is in her torso. In the closeups, his right hand is choking her.

Last nights episode was the highest rated yet! The show beat all other programs last night in viewers 18-49!
Absolutely the best show on this season (50 year old male, married with children).
If you can keep it dark, you'll keep the audience. It's the darkness in the show I believe that makes it so addictive.

Area 51/ Dream land where the government experiments on everyting. Add more paranoya to Hiro by having the government capturing him and taking him to the base. They do experiments and see how Hiro ticks. Hiro gets with his friend then escapes with him out of the base but backwards in time when Jesus was in India. (Big controversy is good for publicity) The rest is up to your writer. Good luck!

As for naysayers like JoAnn Vera, please be considerate when posting and THINK before you post. The scene when Hiro and his friend are coming down the elevator was a play on the movie “Rain Man”, which has been done in other shows. Anyone who has a life would have caught that and enjoyed a little snicker.
As for your futuristic painter in New York … so! Mr. Kring may have gotten the idea from such a person; then again, he may have gotten the idea from the host of other characters throughout history, television, and comics that could draw or paint the future. However, if you are telepathic then maybe you do know where he got the idea.
Those of us who are true fans can see plenty of similarities between the abilities on this show and the abilities we have seen on other shows and in comics. Do we really care … NO. We see the show for what it is, what it does, and the possibilities and fantasies that abound in us all.
So, if you don’t like the show then don’t watch it. “Heroes” and Tim have a large enough fan base and it is steadily growing.
In the end, the show and the characters remind us that we all have problems to deal with in our everyday life, but we all can also be Heroes and that we are all Extraordinary in our own way.

I don't know what the target audience is but my son aged 27 and myself aged 52 watch this show every Monday!! He comes over for dinner and we stayed glued to the TV till the end! It brought chills and maded the hair on our arms stand up twice! Love it!

I saw a commercial for Heroes which said that all of the episodes up to this point would be shown so if you missed an episode you could catch up. Could anyone please tell me the date and the channel that these episodes will be shown. This is truly an amazing show. It has a lot of potential. My only concern is that there are too many story lines to cover in one hour. It seems each episode introduces more questions than answers and honestly, I find it a little frustrating. I wish more ground is covered per episode.
I like the show but it's too slow .The story moves at a snails pace.
There is a new kind of "hero" being developed. They are the janitors at NBC Studios, who against all odds have managed to develop the superhuman ability to live on poverty wages and no health insurance, despite cleaning up after some of the richest people on the planet. Amazing!

After viewing Heroes on the Scifi channel, Tim Kring is just like the author James Frey and his lie of a book "A Million Little Pieces". There is an artist named Eele who paints the future, as I said on this blog earlier, you can read about him in The New York Daily News and the Hunter College paper The Envoy. Tim Kring is just like a rapper, he does nothing but sample other people's stories.

The series is great, I love it so far, I have just one thing to ask - did anyone do any research at all before using Odessa, Texas as a setting? THERE ARE NO MOUNTAINS IN ODESSA!! Odessa is in an extinct sea bed called the Permian Basin. I know there is such at thing as creative licence, but if you are going to use real world settings, do a tiny bit of research. CBS made the same mistakes with the show "Dallas" and showed the mountains of Houston - Houston is on the Gulf Coast and is as flat as a pancake.

I'm pleased that your show has taken away the boredom of Monday Night television. I have to admit that I was not going to watch the show because I felt that it would be a spin-off of the X-Men, but common sense won the day, now I make sure that all my business is taken care of so that I don't miss an episode.
I was just wondering if in the near future you will be looking for new characters, because I have one that you may find interesting and I'm sure will fit right in with the other Heroes.
The website as well as in television (at the end of each episode) are misleading in telling that we can watch the full episode online. I would like to have the opportunity to watch full episodes that I have missed online. I do Realized that there is going to be a 3 episode marathon on Oct/22. However, if the website (or TV) states that full episodes can be seen, I would expect no less than that. I hope this gets clarify.

Id like to say that I have been waiting to see this show since I knew it was going to preview. I think it is one of the best science fictions I have seen in a while. I really like the charactors and how they discover there new powers.I am a big sci-fi buff and I know something good when i see it.Keep up the great work ,and I hope this will be on for years to come.I will be watching and waiting for each new episode.
This is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time.. I came across it by chance on the NBC website. I live in Europe and we dont get it there so I wait to download the episodes every week, cant wait to see what happens next. I love all the characters especially Hiro.

An origingal program with a great plot and excellent writing. With a title like "Heroes" it's refreshing to see that the characters have problems, they love, and they live, which makes them human afterall. Great job.
My husband and I love this show!! We have been getting all of our friends hooked on it. I really hope it stays on the air. We are tired of all the reality tv crap and cop shows. Show is great but I have got to agree too graphic for prime time. My kids can't watch it anymore and they understand why because it was making them sick. And it is making me a bit ill also. If the show doesn't tone it down I won't watch it anymore even though I love the story lines and my spouse has pretty much banned it from our house. So much can be said without so much gore and sex. Please do something about this or I really think the show will not last.
Claire: Is in one helluva spot. Either she's at the county coroners office or Daddy pulled some strings. Maybe this is a catharsis of sorts? Maybe Daddy did pull some strings and now he's going to "come out of the closet" so to speak. Maybe they both are. Ms. Panettiere is simply perfect for this role. A little vain, a little dippy, trying to cope with so many changes. But at the end of the day, a good heart and an uncommon wisdom.
Niki: I think Niki is going to go nuclear on Mr. Linderman. Something really odd, though. The black woman Niki was talking to, that look on her face after Niki left tells me she knows more about whats going on with Niki than Niki. "My son didn't kill anyone." Dunno. Ms. Larter has a killer's eyes. When her reflection looks back at her, it gives me the willies. Ms. Larter is really making the grade. A scared, confused single mom with a brilliant son and a criminal for a husband. She's trying to hold it all together and now things have clearly gotten out of hand. But does she know what she is? She told her reflection to "Leave me alone!"
Hiro: Is the MAN. I love watching this guy. He can't wait to save the day. Modest, sincere. I hope he stays that way. Mr. Oka has made this character his own. Mr. Oka IS Hiro Nakamura. Like Clint Eastwood IS the "Man with No Name" or Tobey Maguire IS Spiderman. You could hire another actor to *replace* Mr. Oka, but whoever it would be, can't "take his place".
Matt: Mr. Parkman is so believable its spooky. I'm know quite a few cops and I've been friends with someone like Matt for years now. Matt is powered by pure instinct, he just can't pass the friggin' detective's test. That black in the bar...not enough to go on. Is he Sylar or another Hero? If we've seen all the good guys the show is going to show, he could be our man. Matt is in a really bad place. I sympathize with him. He wants to tell his wife but she'll just add "Crazy" to the list of his character defects. The FBI agent. Hmmm. I think she's handling herself really well considering she's met a guy who can tell you what you're thinking, verbatim. Something that got my attention about her: When the girl cried out for help, she said, "It's him! Its Sylar!" I find it really hard to believe that Sylar just diddy-bopped into the FBI Headquarters in L.A. without being noticed. I think this FBI agent knows whats going on.
Mohinder: Mr. Ramamurthy is playing a very difficult role. The "Son of a Slain King". Just enough clues to keep him aggravated and frustrated but he keeps going. He must solve the puzzle. He must find the key. Mr. Ramamurthy is playing the part to the hilt. He's not over the top. He's not underplaying it. A perfect balance. This chick who is hanging out with him. She seems to be in the right place at the right time a lot. A plant, maybe? What gets me is why Mohinder didn't stay in Sylars apartment and just call the police? And that .45 pistol we keep seeing. It seems to showing up in all the bad places.
Issac: Man, is this guy in a pit of sh*t or what? The only way he can help people is by destroying himself, one shot at a time. Mr. Cabrera...WOW. One of my friends, friends was a practicing heroin addict except his obsession was sculpture. He tried to carve the face of the monster that was living in him. Right up to the day he died. Mr. Cabrera simply makes this character work. The wild, darting eyes, the body language, the Jekyll-Hyde personality. Well done. Highest marks.
Nathan: Mr. Pasdar has chosen a role completely opposite of what I'm used to seeing him in. With the exception of "Profit" which was ahead of its time, in my opinion. Now he's a sleazy, self-serving politician and even though we've seen this kind of guy a thousand times before, Mr. Pasdar takes it to the next level by sacrificing his own brother to "protect his political assets". Proving that he's not the sleazy, self-serving politician when he wants/has to be, he does it because it's in his nature. This guy simply doesn't have any choice but to be a slime ball.
Peter: A giver. A care-taker. Slighted by his brother. Treated with "arms length" affection by his Mother. So Pete's on his own. Mr. Ventimiglia impresses me because of his way of playing this character without boring me with yet another emotional, sullen, "everything sucks and everyone hates me" approach. This is a man on a mission. But Mr. Ventimiglia doesn't strut around like a man on a crusade. He doesn't have that annoying "I'll Show You!" or "Holier than Thou" attitude. Like James Dean in "Giant". Peter has nothing to prove to anyone but himself and Mr. Ventimiglia delivers across the board.

Our family cannot watch your show anymore. This is disappointing because the overall story line is exciting and we would love to be hooked. Your material is too graphic and should be rated "R". We could get the picture without watching sex acts, violent rape and murder completely acted out. This has made it inappropriate viewing for even us parents!!!

honestly - lose the graphic friday the 13th crap!! it's way too gruesome and unnecessary. Why ruin a perfectly good show by showing everything? Heads blown up and cut off, some lady gruesomely murdered with daggers on a staircase, bloody bodies in the back of a trunk???? seriously...can we focus on character development and plot here?
this could be a great show and there's so much potential and i appreciate the way the story is unfolding, but can just achieve the "dark" side of the show by making it a little less literal? Hitchcock achieves the same thing with sound and the viewers imagination...PLEASE CONSIDER this feedback...

I don't get to watch TV often since I am mother of a 5 month old so I was really excited I'd found my show.
The first show was wonderful.
It had all I had been looking for: different cultures, superpowers, excitement, and geniune people.
However the second show was Disappointing.
Although I knew there would be evil...I was a bit taken back by the amount of gore and graphic nature of the killings.
Sadly these types of scenes keep overpowering the other scenes that I enjoy.
I guess I am not going to continue to watch the Show.
It's too much Gore for me.

I just watched the first episode online a week late. Just curious - why did you throw in YouTube's Chinese Backstreet Boys who cover BackStreet boys in the Japanese karaoke bar http://youtube.com/watch?v=N2rZxCrb7iU ? It was accurate down to the same number on their jerseys and one wearing a white headband. Was it a nod to the NBC/YouTube understanding?

Hi everyone.
I absolutely love this show and I would like to see it rise to the top. The characters are well developed and the storyline is intriguing. Hopefully it will not turn out like all other superhero shows, where it's "bad guy makes plan, good guys foil evil plan every single episode". One thing, though, there shouldn't be so many commercials. I feel like, the episode is so short that they have to prolong it by making so many commercial pauses. People actually want to see the show, not the commercials!

Thank You! This show is long overdue like Medium and Ghost Whisperer. It is Time! People are waking up to these abilities; I know I am, they started getting stronger in 2000. I have these premonitions too, but mine come through dreams, clairvoyance, and clairaudience. We all have these abilities they have just been pushed away; each our own gift to use to help others and the world. Keep this show going because many people will and do relate very strongly to this as these gifts are getting stronger within all of us. Many of us are being prepared with these gifts for what is to come, but if we keep the energy of our thinking and our hearts in the right place as taught by Abraham-Hicks, we can make all of this turn out right and make this heaven on earth instead of what is portrayed in the painting on the show. I am glad that 'Spirit' is able to speak so strongly to you, and that you hear and are able to produce this for the world to see. You are waking up the world. I would just like to say that the premiere was great, very entertaining and I like how it has this depth feel to it. Especially with the narration in the beginning and end.
Though my interest would be in the focus of the sense of responsibility of having those abilities. And how sometimes alot of the things that are 'new' to people and the unexplored part of actually being "different" because of new "talents and abilties" has its causes and conditions that people aren't aware of.
I like how sometimes some people don't have the 'comprehension'in their consciousness to handle those 'talents,' was portrayed in the scene of the artist where he struggles from 'seeing' and painting his predictions...

I posted earlier asking you what inspired thought drove you to create this show...everything on the sides of coincidence has led me to this show, even though I do not believe in such a thing because we create our reality as we live our lives...but what really blew me away was the final painting of mass destruction. Ive seen, and felt exactly what was displayed on that painting. And I knew right then that you understand something most people fail to see or even realize. Whatever your intentions are with this show, be it for a successful "new show" or not, which I highly doubt, I believe its all about the idea which is being conveyed directly to mankind. The most vital essence of our very beings.

Great stuff. My last comment was not about soft porn, but about how my own personal experiences relate to this show. I have demonstrated some of those abilities, in lesser extents, and others in greater. I am an attorney and well-educated, and am currently working on a book about some of my time with different mystical traditions. Thanks for bringing the growing evolution of the human race into the spotlight!
Fantastic stuff. Like many viewers, I'd imagine, I myself have experienced the dawning of awareness of special abilities. Except the only special thing about them is that some people manifest these potentials, while we all have them. I'm working on a book now describing my experiences with various mystical traditions, and look forward to seeing more echoes of my own experience. (Hearing thoughts - check. Short-term precognition - check. Visions of events years into the future - check. Teleportation/manifestation of small objects - check.) Seriously. The soft porn was a little much. The harsh reality of Niki Sanders’ plight can be illustrated more creatively than it was handled. Isn’t it ironic that the character created to draw sympathy for exploited women is in turn exploited by her creators in the same way?
Loved the show tonight, but missed some of the scenes I saw in the 75min Comic Con version of the Pilot. I felt that the scenes left out today were some of the meatier storylines of the plot and hope to see them in the future soon. Some things were changed, but I can tell you all are going in virtually the same direction so far. Don't Change too much though!!! YOu had a good thing going back then

The true purpose of this show is to get people to realize their true powers within. Once people begin to elevate their consciousness and observe the connection between one another, a transformation will begin to take place and Hero’s is just a vehicle to help accelerate the masses for this spiritual transformation.
Think about how all the same stories of fate have been written over hundreds of years, by so many different races, cultures, and religions. So many different peoples and yet they all tell the same story. In general, they all tell of how love can save and how the world will end from negative forces (the opposite of love). We were blessed with prophecies as a warning and have even been told how to prevent a terrible and horrible experience. But do children always listen to their parents? In a large family, some children will listen and yet others will be rebellious and foolish. From the writings of the prophecies - many children have changed. But have we changed enough? Have enough children heard the lesson and learned? With the millions of people on the earth, I think we still have a lot of work to do and that we must work quickly. We have the power and knowledge to transmute this change of the Transition from terrible to a pleasant experience. It is our choice. We know it is our choice because we were given the prophecies to warn us, the capabilities to understand, and the instruction on how to change. All we have to do is the work. It is our responsibility to make a wise decision and our duty to perform the tasks for the betterment of all.
We must serve the Most High and all beings of the Universe with love, energy, and knowledge. We have grown enough to fully understand that everything is connected. This is the message that we must interpret; the connection that we all share! I feel that more African Americans could have been casted to show balance but I am more concerned about the reality concerning our world.
We are here now, in this time and place for a reason. We are all here for the good of all and we must do our part as a whole, we must attune ourselves to the Creator in order to accept and fully understand the Universal effect and connection of love that we are a part of. In order to see the Universal Love, Energy, and Knowledge that is you, you must be open to understanding that different people use different words because we are all from different cultures, races, societies, class structures, and histories. I look forward to the Hero series but even more towards the acceleration of the human consciousness. Peace and blessings to all of you future hero’s on here.

Wow, thank you for making this show. It’s brilliantly written and I think many of us, such as myself, can identify with the perplexities that the characters face.
Please write this show with an understanding and compassion for those of us whom you’re writing about. Not just as a comic book but with subliminal messages taught from spiritual masters that inspire and transform. Have conviction that you want people to be like these heroes.
I want this series to be about psychics who are in love with their gifts but they don’t want to be thought of as crazy by coming straight out about it so they force their way into acceptance by being like heroes. Their greatest enemy is a complacent world that doesn’t want to learn that they are complacent. These heroes all have one message to tell the world and it is this: “You are all heroes. I will pioneer the path and set an example for you so that the rest of you may follow without fear of failure.”
I want these psychics to feel isolated and alienated stifled from their financial worries and lack of examples.
They know they’re pillars of society and want nothing more then to dedicate their life to being the hero that the world needs them to be but they have no examples. Their deepest fear then that they are powerful beyond measure and they try so hard to have good faith to allow such miraculous abilities to manifest.
Do with these characters as Jesus should have done with his abilities: Let them teach others how to be as they are. Their mission should be all about empowering the people.
Let the subliminal message be that we are all adequate if we can triumph our fear. It’s not the genetics (besides, that’s getting trite), it’s the spirit. The difference is we can change our spirit by the way we think.
I like that you have a prophet that uses drugs. There is an accurate subtle connotation there. I think you should make the characters ambitious to progress science. Because this is the good that a true hero would do. Let them seek out scientists, but rather then letting them encounter enthusiasm, let most of these scientists be apprehensive because they don’t want to create a hero. Let’s face it, people who do miracles are assumed to know truths, like Jesus. Scientists don’t want to give an ordinary simple person that kind of validation.
True psychics won’t tell people because they know better, but they also know that they’ve been given their gift so that they may give back to the world. That means sharing it with others as much as they need it whether they know it or not. This is their idea of being successful but if the world doesn’t care they why should they care?

Please write this show with an understanding and compassion for those of us whom you’re writing about. Not just as a comic book but with subliminal messages taught from spiritual masters that inspire and transform. Have conviction that you want people to be like these heroes.
I want this series to be about psychics who are in love with their gifts but they don’t want to be thought of as crazy by coming straight out about it so they force their way into acceptance by being like heroes. Their greatest enemy is a complacent world that doesn’t want to learn that they are complacent. These heroes all have one message to tell the world and it is this: “You are all heroes. I will pioneer the path and set an example for you so that the rest of you may follow without fear of failure.”
I want these psychics to feel isolated and alienated stifled from their financial worries and lack of examples.
They know they’re pillars of society and want nothing more then to dedicate their life to being the hero that the world needs them to be but they have no examples. Their deepest fear then that they are powerful beyond measure and they try so hard to have good faith to allow such miraculous abilities to manifest.
Do with these characters as Jesus should have done with his abilities: Let them teach others how to be as they are. Their mission should be all about empowering the people.
Let the subliminal message be that we are all adequate if we can triumph our fear. It’s not the genetics (besides, that’s getting trite), it’s the spirit. The difference is we can change our spirit by the way we think.
I like that you have a prophet that uses drugs. There is an accurate subtle connotation there. I think you should make the characters ambitious to progress science. Because this is the good that a true hero would do. Let them seek out scientists, but rather then letting them encounter enthusiasm, let most of these scientists be apprehensive because they don’t want to create a hero. Let’s face it, people who do miracles are assumed to know truths, like Jesus. Scientists don’t want to give an ordinary simple person that kind of validation.
True psychics won’t tell people because they know better, but they also know that they’ve been given their gift so that they may give back to the world. That means sharing it with others as much as they need it whether they know it or not. This is their idea of being successful but if the world doesn’t care they why should they care?
I was a huge Alias fan, will still be watching or taping Lost and 24, as do a bunch of my friends. I won't be watching Heroes again unless you get some class and get rid of the porn.
About Hiro: An otaku, liking X-men? Not really realistic, there. Ame-comi fans in Japan few in number. If Hiro was a true Japanese otaku, he'd be watching stuff like Kamen Rider Kabuto (a superhero who can control time, how can you beat that?)
Love the show! Can't wait for the next one! I liked how a different dialect is used...it makes it different and more appealing to a wider audience :)

You know, this show, along with Studio 60, has given me hope in television. Again. Really intriguing and oddly sensual, Heroes is a classic in the making. Thanks for that. Really.
At first when I heard of this series, I was thinking "oh great, another x-men rip off", I was pretty wrong. Although the elements may have some reminisence of the X-men comics especially in their discovery of their power, I really enjoyed your twists in this story-line. The drama was very intense and once that created an impact the refreshing scenes of Hiro made me 'laugh out loud'.
The story line is just so well thought out I love it to death! The way how the characters are all connected too each other is awsome and just the way how they discover their destiny is really interesting to watch.
I'll be watching your series faithfully! Something new to tivo!

I like what I saw up until the point where CLAIRE BENNET’s brother makes the derogatory statement about coming across a homeless “Mexican” lying on the ground somewhere. In an industry where Latinos are portrayed as gardeners, mechanics, gangsters, or criminals you had an opportunity to rectify those stereotypes, but you choose to expand them. You did not even have the decency to show the scene of the homeless Mexican. Is it because they are hard to find? The ironic thing about it all is that of all the freeway on/o
