Suresh's "Abilities"

Right now, we do not specific that he has a power because I wanted one character in the center of this show to be coming at the story in the same way that any of us would. I wanted one person who was without powers to navigate the story through. Again, with this show, you should never get to used to anything being set in stone.

I really like this show. I wished I was one of the heroes. I believe all this power can be gained in reality.
Vedas and Bhagavad Gita explain different types of yoga to gain such power. if one practice Jana Yoga, he can gain power to create illusion , walk through walls, read other mind and so on. one who practice Jana yoga and succeed will be equal to god. Jana means self knowledge. it takes many years to succeed.
Someone with such power can bring the end of the show "Heroes".
A character who begin his meditation 500 years ago in Himalaya.

do the powers develop differently then? like, at birth... or over time?

I think that Suresh not having powers is just fine. It's interesting to have a main character that is different from the rest, it gives them a different point of view as well.

One of my favorite shows was quantum leap then they started moving it around and I could never find it. Do you know if Monday night is ggoing to be your regular slot. I like what and where your first show went I'm looking forward to more.

Suresh is my fave character! Very handsome, intelligent and handsome. LOL He has a great accent too.

I think that Niki's father is the villain, and he is going to run a Weapon X type facility, abducting metahumans and mutants against their will, and using them as living weapons for the country's government, after they are subject to disfiguring and painful surgeries to make their abilities more powerful and destructive.

I'm really into this kind of thing. I believe the 6th sense can be developed by anyone.

maybe suresh has the power of sensing the others abilities as he comes in contact with them.... just a thought.

Perhaps their abilities are sub-conciously created.Ther genome forms from their deepest desires...??

Very attractive character, and actor. I don't really care about whether he has super powers. Smart and handsome,and a gorgeous voice.

I understand most of the powers that appeared in the pilot EXCEPT Niki's.. it's oviously some kind of alter-ego but I'd really like to hear more about her!!

The character Suresh is just fantastic and the actor is excellent. Seems to be the character that is somehow going to bring these heroes together and just may be the ordinary man to be the heroe without powers. Can't wait to see.

I watched your show today and I was touched by the way you portrayed the supernatural thoughts. I stayed glued because it intrigued me to find out what was next. I felt connected to one of the characters because I have had some of their thoughts as well. It just fascinated me to see my vision of what could have been if I did have such powers.

Suresh isn't super speed. My guess is he has multiple powers. Also, Genesis: think to the Bible (not a Christian but know this stuff). Its the beginning. Of what is the real question.

The show is great, but if evolution is the reason why the people gain powers, then isn’t there supposed to be a logical reason why they can use it? Such as the guy who was in the preview who can read people’s mind can somewhat be explain as he have super sensitivity to when the human brain sends electrical charge, thus enable him to “hear” the mind (well this is probably a bad reason, but I hope you can make it better). Right now, we can run faster than most animals is because we are built that way (like our muscle tissues and bone structure) this explains way we have this ability. I am hoping there is an explanation to why they can fly or speed time. Faster regeneration is explainable I guess, since that can be explain by the speed up of the healing process. And the seeing into the future, since it can’t be explained, but people have experience that and so have I (de javu). Well I hope there’s a good explanation other than they are aliens or something. I know that this is only the first episode, so I will be looking forward for the next episode.

Suresh seems to be the leader. He is a second generation with abilities (he knows how to keep them in check rather than flaunt in the open like newbies). He's the most powerful is my guess. He'll face the one who will try to cause the end. Christians would say that its the Anti-Christ who's following Suresh (and soon the others-just a guess). Still want to know the truth about where the idea came from

There is alot of foreshadowing of other people in the show having superpowers, I'm assuming that since they aren't listed as main chars in the Season 1, I imagine they might appear or become mains in Season 2. I think it seems that brothers/sisters/children may all indeed also be super abilitied.

I just enjoy the concept that average people find within them self extra ordinary powers.. It makes you feel like we all have an unique power......I can breath through my ears...

First ... I loved the show! Can't wait for next week. Second ... I also loved how you showed some not so important connections (to show they later will be connected in some way) with the little stuff. Like Hiro's friend watching Niki's webcam and her son reading the comic that was on Hiro's computer screen. BRILLIANT!! I loved it!

I think it would be cool if Suresh was some sort of math/science savant. And there was some superhero algorithm that he discovered.

As a fellow writer and dreamer, I can say too much, but enjoyed that you appealed to that ten year old still inside. If imagination is the bridge to great things, thank you for perpetuating the possibility of infinite possibilities.

Every group needs an anchor. Based on what we have seen, we can assume for one reason or another that some of these people will group together to accomplish something. I have a villain that one of em may end up as a dark hero, which would be great!

Someone has to be the professor, even if he has hair and can walk.

To me it looks like Suresh will be the one to bring all the heroes together and possibly guide them in understanding there newly developing powers. Am I close?

Do you think the show would have been received as well as it has, if you hadn't justified the superhuman qualities with science? Currently the U.S. has been experiencing a very old debate between science and faith (see Evolution/Creationism in high schools)... do you think the scientific explanation was necessary?

I just hope this show makes it, most of the ones I like get chopped. So good luck on making this one a success.

Maybe that's Mohinder's purpose. To bring the rest of them together, to help them cope with their abilities, to train them, etc. Kinda Like a Professor Xavier, just no mental powers. He's the focal point; the one carrying his father's work to its completion point. If he DOESN'T develop powers, then that'd be fine. He's obviously going to be a key and central players in the rest of the show, and that's good enough for me. Thanks for answering my question!! :D

What about Peter? I'm really confused about his power and his brother's. I'm sad if he doesn't have one cause I really wanted him to step out of his brother's shadow.

Why isn't he more solid a character. I only saw him briefly. Instead I had to watch Claire chop her hand and run through fire for no apparent reason. Reconsider priority mate.

Suresh seems more of a lynchpin for the rest of the heros to me. Is it possible that he can draw them all to him to stop what the artist drew in his painting?

Alright... how about Claire's dad... is he a government offical or something? Why is he creepy?

Are we going to get more information into Suresh's background? He obviously had a small cache of files (presumably on the would-be heroes) and knows about what is going on with them and their powers to some extent - and we can tell he has an adversary and is at least harassed (if not outright hunted)...

Is this going to be a side-line plot hook or a driving force of in the overall plot?

With the explosive fan base that ignited before the first episode even aired, are you and the producers planning to do a huge contest to give one lucky fan a chance of a life time with a walk on role as a guest Hero. I think you did the right thing with Suresh.
I wouldn't be adverse to having him develop abilities later on though. Radiation accident. Or maybe HRG captures him and the "treatments" give Suresh something nifty.

I feel like somehow he is the epicenter of everything that is happening. The "missing link" so to speak. I hope I am right :)

How did you manage to pick superpowers that were so original and also manage to do the same old superpowers but not cliche?
