Friends with the creator of LOST

Damon Lindelof worked with me on my other show, Crossing Jordan, for three years. So we have a very close relationship. He was the first person I went to when I was thinking about this show. He gave a tremendous amount of advice as to how to navigate the waters with the network when attempting to do something that they are not used to. He also talked a lot about lessons he’d learned in trying to do a highly serialized show. We still speak often and root for each other’s success.

I love the idea for the show and I’m hooked already. I know you’ve probably written, if not filmed and finished the whole first season by now, and I know you have to hook people with the pilot and get them up to speed quickly, but if I could add my two (or 3) cents: Please, please, please TRUST YOUR AUDIENCE. The weaknesses of the show are already in 1) blatant exposition. I got they were brothers without him telling me – you need to believe I’m not totally stupid. Show, don’t tell. 2) Too many powers revealed in too few minutes: you’ve got a season – learn from the success of LOST. 3) Don’t rush your scenes or give us cliffhanger after cliffhanger, you’ll lose us. Good job on the first, and I hope you guys know that the viewers may actually have some pointers that keep them watching.

I think that Heros, although it has violence, is a wonderful show for kids, teens, today. There are no more heros on television. When I was growing up we had Wonder Woman, Batman, Thunder Cats, She-Ra etc. LOL things today are very different and nice to see that the Heros are adapting. Kudos for bringing back true Heros.

I DONT THINK YOU HAVE TO HAVE DIFFERENT RACES OF PEOPLE SO MUCH. I DONT CARE IF THEY WERE ALL PURPLE. IT IT WHAT YOU WALK AWAY LEARNING FROM THE EXPERIENCE

for every action there is a reaction so what about the villian/s

If something where to happen with the series and the Studio do you have any plans to release the story or create a conclusion so that fan are left hanging.... i feel this is the type of show that will draw in the fan base and they will be come attached to the characters..... Me for one, id hate to have it cut off with no conclusion of some sort. Also are there plans to allow for Fan Writing or Fan Involvement i feel that in this subject that the fans can bring a lot of material and ideas.....

are all of the characters psychic in some way?

I did notice some similarities to LOST of which I'm a huge fan. Is there any chance we will see other characters who don't use their new found powers for good? That would be something that would naturally occur it seems to me.

Having viewed the premiere via iTunes, I noticed some changes in the editing. for example, when Isaac handcuffed himself and later severed his hand. Any reason for the last minute cuts?

does the professor's son have any abilities at all or could he be the ring leader of them all

What advice would you give for aspiring writers to break into the world of television?

I am a high school junior who is currently looking at UCLA, USC, and NYU to advance my career in film and television writing. Already I have taken an online class with UCLA this summer to begin my development as a writer. What do you suggest for someone like me to do next?

Who/what will be the main antagonist? Will any one have powers & use them for evil? P.S. Evil is good! Sorry, I couldn't resist a movie quote.

will we learn later in the show more about how the characters discovered their powers? i feel like we came in at the middle of the story.

That does it. "Heros" is going on my "Watch or die" list of shows to watch along with "Crossing Jordan" and "Lost"!

Crossing Jordan was excellent. Having a very strong female persona on TV to look up to, who was witty, intelligent and beautiful was a marvelous combination. The forensice science was a very exciting factor.

Are you going to merge the two one day together? And maybe make a sequal out of that?

It did remind me of LOST (my #1 addiction) in the way that everyone is seemingly connected. Very big right now...

How did you manage to pick superpowers that were so original and also manage to do the same old superpowers but not cliche?
