Can Peter Fly?

You’ll have to stay tuned to find out whether Peter can fly or not, but a clue might be in what his profession is as a hospice nurse, which is a very “empathic” profession.

i commented abou this below "umm maybe a healer of some sort" i this ur husband is brilliant lol yes he can be a healer but i dotn agree with the spirit leaving his body thing. he has more potential than that.

I think that Peter's ability will be that he will be a sort of "divining rod" for Doctor Sharesh, kinda like Cerebro for Professor X

I think Peter will have the ability of astral projection. He did claim that he 'knew' that his brother would be in an accident before it happened. Therefore, he could possibly set himself into a coma-state similar to yogis and monks, and essentially 'travel' with his spirit body.

i agree with JessicaBlu-IL she had a very good point he did feel his brother before i cant believe i forgot that part...so it can be like telepathy.

Empathy - the imaginative ascribing to an object, as a natural object or work of art, feelings or attitudes present in oneself. Kinda makes you go hmmmm....

is this to imply that he can heal people with his thoughts? Such is the nature of some very powerful empaths claiming to feel others pain and be able to take it away or cure them.

He said he hovered for a second earlier that morning, so I think that means he will have the ability to use the powers of others but then again I could bbe wrong.

So is that a no to the refrence on the rising star comic, i would suggest taking a look at the comic book it was written by the creator of babylon 5 and refers to the characters as specials and some of the abilities are similar I would like to say check out the comic if you have time.

Suresh says that some are more special than others, that it is "natural selection." Is this his belief, or are we to find out these disparate persons are a little...unnaturally...selected?

I love this show!! I am sooo excited! IS the world trade center gonna blow?? Is that what they are gonna save us from? I am soo siked!! Is this gonna go to DVD? I am so antsy with anticipation for the next episode that I just want to wait untilt eh DVD comes out and watch it all at once...over nad over and over and over and over and over and over and...well you get the point! Can we expect any character showing that inner turmoil whereupon learning their power they make the decision to use that power for the benefit of mankind or for self? A great show!!!

I'm interested to learn whether or not you plan to introduce characters who don't posess a power that has already been thoroughly developed within the super hero/ comic book genre. Thanks, loved the premiere!

So, Peter can't fly. He's an empath, which ties into him being a nurse. Like Isaac paints the future. Good symmetry.
I don't see any symmetry in Nathan flying though. Is this related to his accident?
Oh, I get it. Nathan was a pilot, a war hero. And the accident was a bad landing. I think I get it now.

I noticed the special effects weren't too heavy, but expressed through camera tricks and grounded a little more in reality. Are you planning on keeping this subtlety, or should we expect more effects-heavy episodes?

Will any of our super powered "heroes" be unheroic? Will they struggle with morality or act ambigously?

This show is definately better than what I expected!! You had me on the edge of my seat all the way through. I can't wait until next week.

From reading previews of this show, I understand that the policeman can hear thoughts. Is there a reason he did not appear? Not enough time, even with is limited commercials(which I loved, by the way)?

Being a slightly normal teenager, I can easily relate to Claire and her thoughts of suicide and being isolated. I found this show to be incredibly...INCREDIBLY...moving. Everywhere was a twist and turn and...I just, I felt this excitement rise up inside me. I almost wanted to cry. These people are so ordinary...and so NOT ordinary. I just...I can hardly describe the emotion, how real the characters were portrayed, how I felt I could almost know them in person. I took a look at Mohinder and was like "yeah, I know him." I've never felt that way before when watching a TV show. I felt incredibly connected...as though I could reach out to those people. Peter was the most real. I swear I've met him before.

Yeah I was wondering about Peter--the nurse's powers as well, whether he really has the power to fly or has just been dreaming about it because his brother Nathan is the one with the powers. He did mention that he knew right away when his brother got hurt before the phone call came to the family, so it is possible that he has just been having the dreams about flying because of his connection to his brother.

of course Peter can't fly. he's got something else entirely going on...maybe he is a catalyst, and evokes other's abilities.

I don't think Peter will fly. I can almost see him as a male version of Rouge from X-Men.

Will you need more actors for the show? Where can we audition?

So maybe Peter is a "Defender" a super hero that can help other heros by healing or protecting other heros.

There was an episode of Charmed where a character was an empath! That's OK though. Keep up the good work and I'll stick with you through the show's run.

Ah! Very slick. So he was subconsciously picking up on what his brother could do. That explains why it first appeared in his dreams.

Which character would you like to be like?

I wonder if he will be able to have the abilities (maybe temporarily) of all of the powers of the people around him. His empathy could probably focus him in on other's powers unconsciously.

will we learn later in the show more about how the characters discovered their powers? i feel like we came in at the middle of the story.
