A Message From Tim Kring

Wow, it's so exciting that this night is finally here. Everyone involved with Heroes is thrilled to be sharing the night with our fans. You have already been so incredibly supportive of this project and I can't wait to hear your feedback on tonight's premiere.

For those new fans that may be joining for the first time, I'm Tim Kring and I'm the creator and executive producer of "Heroes". I'll be back right after tonight's broadcast to answer questions and hopefully offer some insights - remember, everything is connected!

Heroes Heads For Cliff

Tim Kring, creator and executive producer of NBC's hit SF superhero drama Heroes, told SCI FI Wire that the Dec. 4 fall season cliffhanger, "Fallout," will follow a unique strategy that's been in place since the show's pilot. The strategy, Kring said in an interview, is designed for a dual purpose: to ensure that everyone in the large ensemble cast gets his or her moment to shine and also to entice viewers to come back each week for the latest chapter in the serialized drama.

"The pilot had cliffhangers for every single character, so it forced you to come back in the next episode to the same idea," Kring said. "By the fifth episode, we were able to winnow that down so that we could tell fewer stories. In episode six we basically told two characters' story. It was Claire [Hayden Panettiere] and Niki [Ali Larter]. And we've sort of fallen into a pattern of three or four stories per episode now."

"Fallout," which is episode 11, returns to telling everyone's story, and it will end with a cliffhanger. Or several of them. "We're off the air for six weeks after episode 11, and so we cliffhang once again most of the characters' stories, which forces us in episode 12 to come back to everybody's story," Kring said. "So it has been a real balancing act, a real juggling act, and the only thing I can say is that if you miss certain characters for a while, just stay tuned, because they come back. They all sort of ebb and flow." Heroes airs on NBC Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. It will return on Jan. 22, 2007. NBC is owned by NBC Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM. —Ian Spelling

I think I am your next Hero?

Im not lost anymore? wait so im a Found Hero? Honestly? I dont understand still and I am very confused.

Director-

My name is Cliff James Bell and I believe that everyone is a hero, they just have yet to discover it in themselves. Personally, at the brink of manhood, I am noticing exactly how to use my "powers" to benefit many, and start a revolution that can change the world forever.

Just to continue my revelations... I do not watch a lot of TV and the only two shows I do watch are "Lost" and your show Mr. Kring, Heroes, because I have come to realize that I am a "Lost Hero".

I started watching your show because an old friend told me that I would enjoy it. I believe I began this journey on episode 5, but I am not completely positive about that. I enjoy how the show involves the "melting pot" metaphor for America, by bringing diversity into the story so that all could hopefully be affected by it.

I was hooked from that episode alone, and believe in what your trying to do.

Please let me help you, so that you can help me, and our heroic journey shall begin.

Perseverance is not just having motivation; it is following through with the act of never giving up. Throughout my life my understanding of perseverance has been established by the recognition of my fears. Fears tend to have a negative connotation and usually can be easily overlooked and ignored by most people. However, I am not “most people” because ever since I was a young boy, I have been taught to confront my fears rather than fear them. I believe that fears should be acknowledged and reconsidered on all levels. Most people have the natural tendency of keeping their fears in the dark because they do not acknowledge them. As I grew up, I learned how to bring my own fears into the light and persevere through them in order to advance forward: motivated and excited about what my future would bring. Utilizing my fears in a positive way has given me the strength and courage to be the best that I can be in everything I do.
Whether it be fear of losing a loved one, fear of not living up to personal and familial expectations, fear of failure, or even being fearful of the future – the reality is – my fears have an abundance of knowledge that has inspired me to never lack the courage necessary to face them.
One of my greatest accomplishments has always been overcoming my fears, especially my fear of losing a loved one. One way that I have persevered through this fear is by participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Program for the past three years. This fundraiser for cancer research thrives off many individuals’ unified hope and dream; a hope for a cure, a hope that will one day change the world. This program and all who participate in it believe that there are no limits for cancer research, and thus this hope will never cease to exist. I share this same dream and my involvement in this program as a team member and more recently a team captain, has given me the chance to take the first steps needed in order to make this dream a reality. Through this understanding and a few internships, I have come to find an immense interest and perseverance to contribute to the biomedical field.
I have always had a motivation from the fear, concerns, and suffering that my family and thousands of other families have endured, to do all that is necessary to fight cancer. I have been able to learn from these apprehensions to keep this motivation active in my education, as an older brother, a team captain, and overall a role model in my family and community. A higher education is the next step in the path that I strive for, knowing that it will eventually lead me to my goal. I look forward to further my education towards an answer, so that one day I will have the opportunity to be on the team who finds a cure for cancer and leaves a legacy for all generations to come.
Through perseverance, I have been able to face and overcome this fear, rather than pretend it does not exist. I have gained a specialized knowledge by confronting my fears that has enabled me to comprehend the irony that recognizing, challenging, and defeating my fears has given me the motivation to never give up. I believe that fears have the immense power and ability to make or break an individual’s personality and attitude towards something; and in my life thus far – they have only assisted me in defining my personal attributes – such as perseverance.

Hello to all the people online here! People + Activating Mental [heroes] Event + Energy of Learning = EnterChange Here is what I think of the show and what intention that I want to inspire…a statement of wonder and the activation of a spontaneous paradigm shift in human history. The first of it’s kind. If humans can teach each other “Open Source style” to see in a different way, we can grow our mind…..literally and we can watch it happen. We are waking to the cognizant ability of our own individual and of the levels of societal enlightenment. Duality of sight. Seeing prismatically for the first time. Prismatically and exponentially. OK, so Heroes is created by people. Ideas are transferred through people. I'd like to interview EVERYONE involved in making heroes, from all levels, all perspectives, think degrees of separation, we all have a perspective of our own to share. I really enjoyed the show and am already a big fan! I have a quick question for you, and I know your fingers are flying a mile a minute with these, but when you were chooseing the specific powers for the characters, some of which are general (like flying), while others are specific (time and space), how did you finalize which powers would be included?

i think a villin role for Hayden Christensen or Mekhi Phifer Later on this season if you haven't finished taping it already or for Future seasons would be deff. an A+ for this phenomenal show, i meen i know Hayden played a villan 2/3's through star wars episode 3 but he nailed it and Mekhi Phifer's role in Dawn of the Dead was a very Laying Low, Secretive, fend for myself kind of attitude was good and thats why i think both or either one of them would make a good villan for the show

It was a simple minded show with hack lines so we could "get to know the characters" who were cliche and shallow. There was no plot, no tension, and the theme was spoon fed by the cheerleader's mom. There are dozens of comic books better than this. How can you put this on as the first episode and feel good about it. Have you read any comics or seen the new Battlestar Galactica? I give you credit for the twist of the candidate has the flying powers. The show was on such a dumb level I didn't think you would have such a smart twist. Also siblings do sometimes have a connection as Peter said. You seemed to have some good scene ideas in mind, but their execution fell short. Did the execs ruin your creative flow? The lines were unnatural which gives the actors no chance in hell to do a good job. If you have something so extraordinary as people gaining super powers, then you need to make the dialog extra ordinary. Like plain, like believable. Like not one character summarizing the life of the character he is talking to. Wow, why do that to me? Put some effort into your dialog. Aside from Trenton Tarrantino in Pulp Fiction, Brian Michael Bendis who writes "Ultimate Spider-Man" has the best dialog ever. It's a natural dialog for supernatural situations. All in all it was the only primetime show I was looking forward to watching and now I hope it falls to the ground and dies just like I was yelling out as Peter jumped.

I love the show. People are calling it a rip-off of X-Men, but what they don’t see is that you’ve added a new theme, a new element. I’m anxious to see how that plays out.

Well, i have to say that was a joy and a thrill. I was so pumped at the end that I wanted to bounce outta my seat. I saw a lot of similarities with a plot idea laid down in a role playing game called Abberant, I wonder if you've heard of it. It's not a new idea but the story flowed nicely and the pacing was pretty good. Would I have liked a two hour deal? Hell, yeah but I'm sure this is something of a gamble for NBC. I loved it though. I've read a lot of comics and played a lot of role playing games (not to sound TOO geeky) and this has a lot of good qualities. A very nice set-up with a nice amount of backstory to feed the desire to KNOW and the anticipation of some tasty conflict. Hiro's character was done well, BTW. He could have come across so very annoyingly comic relief but the dialog and the actor's skill kept it in check. And all of them, actors and writers, gave me moments of recognition in myself. Who hasn't echoed those thoughts in one way or another.
For me, there's a reason I love to create story or characters that transend my life. For just a moment to be MORE than I am and feel like I could truely be SUPER. I mean, who doesn't.

Real life heroes...real life miracles are everyday and everywhere. It's just our vision that's often mundane and obscured.

Good luck on the season and the story. I know I'll be watching.

I am thoroughly disappointed with this show's portrayal of Japanese people. I can not think of any other show (current or past) that plays into more stereotypes. NBC & Mr. Kring should be ashamed of themselves... I hope you will remedy this in the future and provide an apology on the next show.

Nice plot twist with the bad guy being indestructo girl's adopted father. I'm tellin' ya that NBC wanted this project to fail putting it up against Monday Night Football. Atlanta at a recovering New Orleans...big sports story..compelling.Don't get me wrong I am a football fan. But this show needed viewers...but I ramble.Great show...NBC change the night!

Not sure what demographic you're pitching this too but I must say that I'm 44 and I absolutely loved it! I love superheroes and this show will be Tivo'd by me each week - so I don't miss an episode. Not since the first few seasons of ER have I been so intrigued by a television series. Kudos!

Extremely good, i think this is gunna be a money a mker for you guys, really liked the concept and idea of making it look like ordinary people, i hope this misterious guy who is a villian type has some sort of power, but not a major one, just to make it
even more interesting, what is the role of the indian guy, is it almost like the "profesor x" of this show, the head honcho who rallies these people together and to be their mentor?,

In the scene where the girl jumps off the platform (maybe an oil rig) in Odessa, Texas, there are mountains or very high hills behind her. There are absolutely no hills or mountains in Odessa, Texas. Love the show!

I really enjoyed the show. I love the variety of characters that you have created. i also think that that casting hayden panettiere in the show was a very wise choice. she definitely helps attract the younger audience. my sister who is 11 told me she only wanted to see the show because she was in it. i can't wait to see the show progress and the mystery grow.

Great show but it was hauntingly familure. Have you ever read Rising Stars by J. Michael Straczynski? Well your show is pretty close to his work.

You would not believe what happened.....I LOVE THE SHOW....I was freaked out/scared/nervous/anxious/.....When the part come on where Hiro was going to teleport.....my lights went out...I have a surge protector on my tv , so my tv stayed on...I was scared/anxious....I didnt know what was going on ....my lights began to flicker on and off...then he teleported ...and my lights stayed on.....I then had learned that there was a car wreck that hit a light pole and caused the lights out problem....What a premiere....I will definately watch again and again......A must have dvd series....PS- Love the cheerleader...she is a great actress.....and gorgeous legs...great pick ...she is my favorite......

Yes we are all connected. It's funny how I've used that phrase for years and now it's part of a TV show. Telekinesis, telepathy,precognition, been there done that for real. We will all soon reach critaical mass.

I have been creating characters and plots since i was about 11 years old. I have a whole multi-verse of characters. I need to know, how did you get a chance to "Produce" your ideas? Maybe i can learn and find out how to get mine out there.

I've tried to leave this comment twice now, and the darn blog has refreshed and made me lose the whole thing. So I'll type fast...

Amazing show, I honestly cannot remember being this impressed by a premiere (with the exception of Firefly, when we finally saw that premiere) for many years. Pay no attention to the naysayers, this is the Internet and they tend to scuttle out every time there's a chance that someone might pay attention to them. In fact, I'm really impressed with how much of the commentary I've seen has been positive. You should be really proud.

Now, as far as asking questions, I've thought and there's really nothing I want to ask. I want every twist and turn to be as much of a surprise as this premiere was. Keep the bar this high, and I'll tune in every week for as long as you'll keep showing episodes.

Wow this was a really great show but i was wondering since this is a piolit is there any garantee(excuse the spelling) that this show will continue running....no offence or anything im sure it will but I really dont want this to be another 'Surface' and end with the first season because well in my opinion the writeres got rich and left us im sorry im kind of ranting but id really another question id like to ask is how many more charecters are we planning on seeing and are we going to see idvidual clips of them or are they going to 'unit'??? im sorry V_V im just a girl who needs less time on her hands

I love the premise of this show. And the aspects you've taken from other cultures. I just had one question. Why did you decide to make the man who was uncovering "the genesis" indian? Is there something in the hindu culture that you thought needed to be represented in this story? I was raised hindu, although I am a white american man. I found it extremely interesting, and would love to hear your thoughts behind that decision. Aside from that, I love the story, and am glad to see something on network television that is promoting the ultimate ideal of our human potential.

You would not believe what happened.....I LOVE THE SHOW....I was freaked out/scared/nervous/anxious/.....When the part come on where Hiro was going to teleport.....my lights went out...I have a surge protector on my tv , so my tv stayed on...I was scared/anxious....I didnt know what was going on ....my lights began to flicker on and off...then he teleported ...and my lights stayed on.....I then had learned that there was a car wreck that hit a light pole and caused the lights out problem....What a premiere....I will definately watch again and again......A must have dvd series....PS- Love the cheerleader...she is a great actress.....and gorgeous legs...great pick ...she is my favorite......

aye yo whats good? question for yah, why isnt there any black ppl on this show? i think thats straight up triflin...u seem to have every ethnicity cept for an African American as a main character. we exist also, its wrong just to leave us out...in daily communities we are every day heroes, we go through many struggles that make us heroes...dogding bullets and trying just to survive. its a shame this show doesnt have any african americans as a main character, dont say that that one female is black, she is light skin...im talking a real strong african american character should be potrayed...i hope you will think about this, no wonder african americans dont watch nbc, now you know why

I've tried to leave this comment twice now, and the darn blog has refreshed and made me lose the whole thing. So I'll type fast...

Amazing show, I honestly cannot remember being this impressed by a premiere (with the exception of Firefly, when we finally saw that premiere) for many years. Pay no attention to the naysayers, this is the Internet and they tend to scuttle out every time there's a chance that someone might pay attention to them. In fact, I'm really impressed with how much of the commentary I've seen has been positive. You should be really proud.

Now, as far as asking questions, I've thought and there's really nothing I want to ask. I want every twist and turn to be as much of a surprise as this premiere was. Keep the bar this high, and I'll tune in every week for as long as you'll keep showing episodes.

seriously this show was wicked awesome. having been a huge comic book fan for years, i loved the ones that showed how real people would deal with super powers. and how everyone kept connecting? genious. this is quite possibly my new favorite show on tv. keep up the great work!

Is there going to be a name for the people with powers? Obviously "Specials" is out of the question because of the similarities between this show and Rising Stars.

The show blew my mind, this is the first television series I have promised myself to keep up with. Keep up the great work! You have to tell us more of whats to come, what other kind of "Heroes" will be discovered, can you elude on some of them? Do you plan on creating a paper bound comic book series? Home Run! I'm hooked. One of the best shows I've seen in a while. This should help NBC get back on top (I work for GE).

Seriously, no BS...you need to get on Howard Stern and promote this show. He's a big comic/hero fan and if he likes this show, which I'm sure he will, he will talk about it every week and his audience is the perfect demographic.

EXCELLENT - you guys NAILED it on EVERY LEVEL! Intelligent writing combined with the experience of watching a comic book unfold on the screen. Comedy, drama, and intrigue all played out in the lives of very ordinary people about to discover extraordinary abilities. Perfectly executed - bravo!

Amazing job, great concept. I've been watching new movies as they come out and from the start, the previews for this show caught my eye. Ever since then I've been seeing ads and commercials about it everywhere. I was looking forward to tonight for weeks. And, I'm happy to say I'm not dissapointed in the least. (Now only if I could make like Hiro and jump to next Monday or so.)
I've still not quite uncovered the mirror power... Other than she might just be Schizo.
Anyways, the ending gave me CHILLS... The second I saw the image of him falling, my spine crawled up my neck. Then the atomic explosion after that. I cannot wait till for this to develop... I'm no fan of sitting around and waiting for shows.. Lost couldn't get me... None of these reality shows.. I'm a big critic on them, and this one has me entirely.
Great job... Finally someone has made a worthwile show.

I am thoroughly disappointed with this show's portrayal of Japanese people. I can not think of any other show (current or past) that plays into more stereotypes. NBC & Mr. Kring should be ashamed of themselves... I hope you will remedy this in the future and provide an apology on the next show.

I saw on myspace the show was airing tonight, so I flicked on over after Prison break, and I am hooked. Very creative writing! Now I have two great shows to catch on monday! Please dont change the airing time, I dont want to have to choose.

First off, I was really impressed with the first episode. I am currently taking a New Media Studies course at my college, and I have chosen this show for my semester project. I have to watch and analyze different aspects of it. I am really excited about my choice. The questions I have are: How many episodes have been done for the first season. The show was so good!!! I wasn't sure if I was going to tune in, but after just 5 minutes I was hooked. It will be interesting to see how this serial differentiates itself from X-Men. But the characters are all very intriguing and the pace of the storyline is perfect!!! I will be tuned in for sure!!!

Did your inspiration come from the "Rising Stars" Comic Series at all? I have read a lot of the series and there is a load of similarities.

Funny who are hero's? is it the politician, religious leader who heal the wealthly or the firefighter, cop (who got paid for the job they do) Maybe its you who think that education via malupilation.... Makes your viewer suspend time for you to make millions. My comment its a great movie and please let us know that it is..... Not every one who watches tv are strong minded people because when they do figure it out that, why jesus only heal the wealthy, or that USA is not a racial society where if my people the working class is treated like a fool..... later

There is so much I want to say! This shows premise is incredible! It almost makes you wonder if such a thing could really happen. It's not like X-men where everyone has some entirely outrageouse powers but they are powers that could very well be realised through human adaption. Overall, great work, I hope this show becomes a huge success. What if the entire world was like that? I have some Ideas where the story is going, but, I don't want to spoil anything if I'm right. Perhaps I'm like one of the characters and my power is anticipation? Just kidding, but, maybe. I once had a dream about a show like this...except the majority of the dream was about flying, weird,lol. There was also another character (maybe you could use this,lol) The character had the ability to manipulate anything with the spoken word, however he could only use one ability at a time. For instance when an army aprroached could say, "Land fall" the entire are of land would collapse into a pit.However also the keywords of use were very generic not like "land fall over there" it just happened and sometimes to the wrong person.

Why does the cheerleader girl display no where near an accurate reaction to the pain of the injuries she experiences?

Relating to the show on how as a kid wanting to be special in a genetic superiority sense, I loved this show!!! Did your inspiration come from the "Rising Stars" Comic Series at all? I have read a lot of the series and there is a load of similarities.

Yes everything is connected. It's strange how Ive been using that phrase for a few years and now its part of a TV show. Telekinesis, telepathy, precognition, been there done that for real. We are all now close to crital mass.

I love the premise of this show. And the aspects you've taken from other cultures. I just had one question. Why did you decide to make the man who was uncovering "the genesis" indian? Is there something in the hindu culture that you thought needed to be represented in this story? I was raised hindu, although I am a white american man. I found it extremely interesting, and would love to hear your thoughts behind that decision. Aside from that, I love the story, and am glad to see something on network television that is promoting the ultimate ideal of our human potential.

Relating to the show on how as a kid wanting to be special in a genetic superiority sense, I loved this show!!! Can't wait for more, but I do hope that with time super villians appear, for what is a Hero without a arch enemy?? Ordinary human enemies suck, so I'm really hoping you have something in store for us that will spice it up some more. Not an actor but will be looking for openings in the super villian area, not everyone roots for the Hero!

This show is...it's really something incredible, if you ask me. It's personal for me because it expresses a lot of things that have been on my mind for a while.

Hiro and Mohinder are especially intriguing characters. Hiro reminds me of myself, because I'd go giddy if I ever found out I had super powers of some kind. Yay for Spock!

I am thoroughly disappointed with this show's portrayal of Japanese people. I can not think of any other show (current or past) that plays into more stereotypes. NBC & Mr. Kring should be ashamed of themselves... I hope you will remedy this in the future and provide an apology on the next show.

I just finished watching the first episode. Its great how all the characters are going to come together. That picture of the nuclear explosion in New York City probably hints that there will be something like that where all of the Heroes will have to work together.

Interesting start, I like the character of Hiro vero much. I thought the shot of the final painting was cheap and manipulative . . .showing explosions in downtown NYC, it is too reminiscent of 9/11.

A solid pilot episode for the series - way to go!!! Some of the exposition was a bit much (the whole "carrying on my father's work" seemed a bit rushed and to get the viewer into the mystery a bit quick) but the actors seem to be in the right roles for their characters. I like that there is a larger mystery and some characters and powers not fully fleshed out. This episode definitely left me wanting to see more.

Interesting show. I think it's powerful that the show is highlighting characters who are not one-dimensional. They are human, with obsessions, flaws, distractions, desires, hopes...that's good. I think at times it comes off as a little presumptive, but I think it means well. Of course we are all connected; there's nothing earth-shattering about that. Of course we can change the world for better or ill through the choices we make; we don't need an eclipse to tell us it's time to act proactively, rather than reactively. We need to collectively believe in our inherent goodness, and our collective worth. Apathy is evil.

Just finished watching the premiere. It'll be interesting to see where you'll take it. I've always been a fan of stories about extraordinary people and also stories about how different people's lives interconnect, and it looks like Heroes has both. It will be cool to see how the mystery of their powers and how they use them together unfold. What are the main influences and inspirations for this show?

What a smart, fun and geniun show. I must say, I did not think anything could get me as exicted as GREYS ANATOMY- but HEROS did - Bravo! The show was interesting and different - however, where is the warning that should be posted on a show of this nature warning people - especially children - that what the characters do in this show is dangerous and should not be done by anyone>

Very good show. There are not many shows I enjoy anymore but this may prove to be one of those. Who don't want to have super powers!

There is so much I want to say! This shows premise is incredible! It almost makes you wonder if such a thing could really happen. It's not like X-men where everyone has some entirely outrageouse powers but they are powers that could very well be realised through human adaption. Overall, great work, I hope this show becomes a huge success. What if the entire world was like that? I have some Ideas where the story is going, but, I don't want to spoil anything if I'm right. Perhaps I'm like one of the characters and my power is anticipation? Just kidding, but, maybe. I once had a dream about a show like this...except the majority of the dream was about flying, weird,lol.

gee wasnt this already done before? I think they called it X-Men. Give credit where credit is due. Don't try stealing someone elses ideas and turning them in to your own. Everything was great. Not much commercial helped too. One thing I noticed as a native Japanese was the guy who was with Hiro was not Japanese. I tried to read the subtitle, but it was very difficult to ignore the audio.

The show sparked my interest, it makes you think outside of the box---good job

Please oh please oh please could we be original and just leave some of the sex and human entrails to the viewers imagination and make a really classy show instead of the same old how many ways can we cut up a human or cram sexual images into an hour like every other show on TV?

AMAZING! transfixed the entire time, execpt when I had to run to the bathroom really bad. The final 3 mins + next week's previews gave me the chills. TV that's awesome to watch again!

Interesting start, I like the character of Hiro vero much. I thought the shot of the final painting was cheap and manipulative . . .showing explosions in downtown NYC, it is too reminiscent of 9/11.

I love it. I saw it for the second time tonight. The first time i saw it, I was at Disney World and saw one of the first showings ever in the US. I also got the comic book.

Finally A Sci Fi Show on network worth being called sci fi. It's about time. Hopfully NBC won't screw this one up.

Wow. One of the most visually stunning pieces of television I’ve ever seen. Very cinematic! I’m intrigued by the characters the stories and can’t wait for more.

Question: Any qualms about the picture of a fiery NYC? I found it visually wonderful, but can bet there will be some comments (mostly by people unable to distinguish art from reality).

This is a great show...taps into that dream we all had as kids and still have when we get stuck in traffic as an adults :)

aye yo whats good? question for yah, why isnt there any black ppl on this show? i think thats straight up triflin...u seem to have every ethnicity cept for an African American as a main character. we exist also, its wrong just to leave us out...in daily communities we are every day heroes, we go through many struggles that make us heroes...dogding bullets and trying just to survive. its a shame this show doesnt have any african americans as a main character, dont say that that one female is black, she is light skin...im talking a real strong african american character should be potrayed...i hope you will think about this, no wonder african americans dont watch nbc, now you know why.

Show seemed okay. Only problem I had was with the dialogue. I can't say that I believe that people that are slowly discovering they have superhuman powers would discuss them so openly and philosophically. But it seems like a pretty good premise.

Everything was great. Not much commercial helped too. One thing I noticed as a native Japanese was the guy who was with Hiro was not Japanese. I tried to read the subtitle, but it was very difficult to ignore the audio.

My favorite character so far....Niki Sanders, cause her powers are freaky, plus it seems like she can kick some major boo-tay!!!

A solid pilot episode for the series - way to go!!! Some of the exposition was a bit much (the whole "carrying on my father's work" seemed a bit rushed and to get the viewer into the mystery a bit quick) but the actors seem to be in the right roles for their characters. I like that there is a larger mystery and some characters and powers not fully fleshed out. This episode definitely left me wanting to see more.

What a smart, fun and geniun show. I must say, I did not think anything could get me as exicted as GREYS ANATOMY- but HEROS did - Bravo! Ok first off this was an amazing show. Honestly I loved it. I'm a HUGE comic geek. Which brings me to my point. The story, the characters, the way it progresses, all of it is very very similar to a story and comics that I have read before. The name of the series I'm refering to goes by the name of "Rising Stars". Did pull any influence from this series? Because I have noticed a few similiarities.

I wasn't sure whether or not I would like "Heroes" because I don't usually like science-fiction... However, after watching tonight's episode I am so intrigued by its concept, and I can't wait to watch it again!! Initially, I wanted to check it out because I was a Milo Ventimiglia fan when he was on Gilmore Girls... I love his character again, but I also like Suresh a lot... I get a "Lost" feeling from the show, but that is a good thing because "Lost" is one of my favorite shows of all time! Congrats on the show and I can't wait to tune in next week! I was looking forward to watching this show; I'm a big fan of "Smallville" and was waiting for a new show with a variety of characters unrelated to age of high schoolers.
What I like about "Smallville" is the mythology that is intertwined in the story line.
In your show, however, it is neat to see how each particular character is woven together toward a single endeavor that they must ultimately defeat. Great show, so far! Thanks

I enjoyed the show...but the premise is quite close to that of the 4400. Simply take out the alien abduction basis...and there you are. I hope that the show takes a turn away from the same goal as the 4400.

I like the show and the idea so far. But I am a little disappointed that other races are not represented. Is it possible that a black male hero is in the making? When evolves, please don't make him the ultimate gangsta! Depending on the other heros will determine if I watch. It is nice to see people like myself.

I'd seen the previews for Heroes and that's what made me interested. Also the fact that Greg Grunburg is on the show, watched him on Alias so I thought I'd check out his new show.

I must say, I loved it. I must admit I am a big comic geek, especially X-men and when Hiro mentioned X-men #143, the inner X-geek in me was very happy. I'm really looking forward to the development of the characters. It seems they have multiple abilities or at least some do. I liked the show, it has great potential. The time slot seems like a good choice seeing it would probably draw the Smallville audience. Very curious on how the characters will cross paths and how their powers will grow. You have my attention, lets see if you can keep it.

Pretty good show. Though there are NO mountains anywhere close to Odessa, Texas (Ft. Davis is the closest mountain range and that is 225 miles away). Also Gardendale does not and will not have a mall.

I just finished watching Heroes
this is an awesome and very interesting show to watch. I just wonder what is ahead for all of these heroes and if both brothers can fly or just the one. That was amazing. I saw the link on Myspace of all sites and cleared my schedule. It brings back all the ideals of true Comic book tragedy and mixes it with reality. It emulates the values that have always been important and then transcends the comic book saga into life and a plot that the common viewer can relate to.

A lot of the storytelling reminds me of Magnolia where there was multiple storylines and interaction of the characters at the different. I am so hooked as a fan. Can wait to see next week's episode. I enjoyed the show...but the premise is quite close to that of the 4400. Simply take out the alien abduction basis...and there you are. I hope that the show takes a turn away from the same goal as the 4400.

Finally A Sci Fi Show on network worth being called sci fi. It's about time. Hopfully NBC won't screw this one up.

awesome! this is the first series where i have looked forward to the next show since the simpsons premiered! i want more. my roomate, girlfriend and i have new plans now for monday evenings from here till youre tapped for this superhuman genius!

A solid pilot episode for the series - way to go!!! Some of the exposition was a bit much (the whole "carrying on my father's work" seemed a bit rushed and to get the viewer into the mystery a bit quick) but the actors seem to be in the right roles for their characters. I like that there is a larger mystery and some characters and powers not fully fleshed out. This episode definitely left me wanting to see more.

i loved the show. can you show it every week with limited commercials? a show this good should be able to find a wealthy savvy sponsor!

Very interesting. Finally something that plays to what people feel inside. Many wish that they had powers to do good. But not everyone can be a hero.

But people are more afraid to take a chance which would endanger their own life.

But the word "Hero" has been tossed around to much. Now you can be a hero for dying and not saving a life or changing events.

People who are true heros, are the ones that feel it deep inside. When they see something wrong they will jump in and do what ever it takes to save a person.

But there are few out there to step up to the

In times of war we need a hero or superhero to lift our spirits and make things right. On television in the 1950's it was Superman. In the 1970's it was Wonder Woman. Now aside from the Marvel and DC comic superheros hitting the big screen, we have HEROS that we can watch on TV. It's a great concept and with the clift hangers, a sure winner! I can't wait to see the next episode! A great way to start the week! Kudos to you!

Where did you get this idea from? You seem to know alot about certain things that others don't know. How they know about the end, and can recognize each other, and how they're being followed by the one. I might have some ideas for you...don't want money or to be known.

What I like about "Smallville" is the mythology that is interwined in the story line.

Loved the show - all the characters were well-drawn (no pun intended), and especially I enjoyed the "Star Trek" and "X-Men" references. My whole family tuned in. I will be telling others! The only comment I would have is - a bit graphic and sexy for the whole family. Otherwise, great!

Amazing show!!!...I liked how almost all the characters are connected with each others. Also the scenes with the cheerleader getting hurt and the mom wakin gup and seeing the two guys dead (one of them is even cut in half) were awesome!!

I hope the focus of the show will be as much on the people and what they think and feel as it is on the superpowers and what happens in New York. Not sure how I feel after seeing the previews of next week. With the Teleporter seeing the comic. That seemed kinda lame. We already have 1 person who can see the future, he's putting it in the paintings. So I'm not sure where the comic and the person who created it fit into the show.

this is an awesome and very interesting show to watch. I just wonder what is ahead for all of these heroes and if both brothers can fly or just the one. It looked like the doctor wasn't the one able to fly. I will be interested to see how this show grows. Great work Tim...Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of this show.

I loved it. I am a big fan of Dierdra Quinn's ever since I saw Miss Congeniality. I would love to see her tied in as a regular on the show because her acting is superb. Looking forward to what comes next.

That was amazing. I saw the link on Myspace of all sites and cleared my schedule. It brings back all the ideals of true Comic book tragedy and mixes it with reality. It emulates the values that have always been important and then transcends into a life that the common viewer can relate to.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Probally one of the coolest shows in a while. It has a movie like quality. It's pure magic!!

just finished watching the show. i thought it was wonderful. all the different cultures. and the different areas of life people came from.
being indian, and all it was nice to see our culture recognised.

The artist character who has a heroin problem is way cliche. What heroin addict says that there is only thing he can do and means going cold turkey. you need to hire a consultant or something. that character is terribly written.

Astounding, the dichotomy between the brothers is fantastic, all the characters seem to have the seeds of good development. The story line seems like it could progress well. The only thing that concerns me is that the pilot should have been a bit longer and introduced more heroes or maybe gave a link to our supposed villain other than him being the foster parent of super cheerleader. I can't wait for next weeks episode. Also the cinematography was great, it felt like a high quality production.

Thanks for introducing a realistic look at the genre and humanizing the heros. In the book i've written, it's how the heros act, like people.

Loved the show... very creative... i hope the show continues to be so entertaining... I may have just found a new favorite.

Good show. A bit slow in the beginning, but it REALLY picked up in the second half hour. I wasn't expecting the politician's son to fly at the end!

How will this be diffrerent from X-Men

All of the powers remind me of the MMORPG City of Heroes. From the TP power to the regen power from the cheerleader. This may be an interesting show, I'll watch a few ep's to see how it goes.

awesome! The show is very powerful I wasnt sure what i thought of it and then the last 10 minutes happened and I realized that this show is EPIC! one of the best shows I have ever seen

It looks like NBC is looking to directly compete with ABC's Lost. Of course any show that tests the limits of fate and destiny while tossing a touch of human condition will be compared to Lost. The premier was very intriguing. I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Good thing Lost is on Wednesday night!

I really enjoyed this first show - very impressed and already set my tivo to record all the episodes.

Only one problem: I'm from Odessa. I can live with the inaccurate landscape, but the site-specific dialogue could so easily be verified for accuracy. Hell, i'll do it for free.

I haven't gotten goosebumps watching TV shows for a very long time. Excellent Job! It reminds me of a Japanese Manga called "Jo Jo's Adventure". I am looking forward to the episodes to come.

This is a completely awesome concept and the execution is incredible. I can't wait to see how the season runs, and hope the studio execs don't have a "dumb attack" and cancel this excellent show, which may very well be the only decent offering for the new fall season!

This was a very good show. You should have done the begining a little bit different. you should have shown how their powers came about and also tolds us what their powers were. For example i am lost to as what kind of powers Nikki has. Please lets us know.

My Only complaint is that I have to wait a whole week to see the next episode! Guess that means I'm hooked already.

the flying at the end did not look good at all. it was so clear strings were involved. C'mon guys this is not a new concept. I mean X-Men in New York City just discovering their powers
