We're here!

Jeff: We're exciting that we're finally premiering and looking forward to hearing what you have to say.

Connie: Thanks to everyone for being here.

COMMENTS

I love this show, but am very disappointed at the sensationalistic plot twist in this first episode. It feels contrived and gimmicky, as if it were inserted solely to boost ratings. I suppose if it means that the show doesn't get cancelled, it was for the better... but I wish it didn't have to go there.

I love this show!!! Thanks for bringing it back.

I have one son and one daughter who are varsity in west texas so i can relate to your show, we are in last quarter of a tied game. This is so much like fnl. We are Aledo, TX. Do you all actually come too games and research towns like this?

i am so glad that the best show on network tv is back for the new season. keep up the outstanding work!!

Connie i have loved watching you for year's. You have this role played just like another
great wife standing by her man. Great Job!!!!!!!!

I would just like to say, "love the show" I'm a mother of a 16yr. high school football player. And Ilove the show because of the realness, and the heart of the show. Please consider not showing Riggins walking out of store with beer and drinking beer fresh in a parking lot. Not one kid in this hick town that I live in can a football player and or any other kid do that. Doesn't sit well with parents. thanks, and I love Peter Berg!!! We need a 40 something now!!!!

Best show on TV. Thanks for bringing it back!

I am so disappointed with tonights show. I have been
telling everyone to watch because it was my favorite show last year, and then tonight it was so different.
the film was bad, sound was
bad, and it reminded me of
other shows that have started
out well and then took some
wrong advice and made changes
to "appeal" to someone else.
I loved the characters and
the great cast, but now it
looks like you are catering
to a different clientele.
Have you fired Peter Berg?
i know he is a great actor and great director and a man
with very good ideas, so i just feel like he must have
been fired - since the show
has changed so much.
it was great when it focused on the coach and family, and the different players who are such great
actors themselves.
can you get back to the
original work?
i hope so.
Dan Tatum

this is the best show on television, period. i wish i had a nielsen box!

Well goodnight Jeff & Connie!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Please, please, please stay in Austin and the surrounding areas! WE LOVE HAVING YOU HERE!!!!!

Can't wait to see if each week
leave's us wanting more at that moment.

They filmed some stuff at my son's High school (Connally High School) last friday night. Ya'll were nice enough to let my two boys into the locker room to get some stuff from their lockers - THANK YOU!

I had to pick up my some from an event saturday afternoon - while the crew was packing up - & I let them know what a great job they are doing and to keep up the great work!

wow. looks like we're in for a heck of a ride. can't wait until next week!

I love the show. It will be fun to watch Landry develop as a character because up until this point, he has shown perfect integrity. This new development will make him much more complex. Will we be proud of him?

this is the best show on television, period. i wish i had a nielsen box!

Great Show....A little more drama then last year...I thought it was cool to see the underdog playing football...gutsy

Great show as always.

This is quality television.

wow! a lot happened in the first show -- it was great - but I'm concerned that it will get too dramatically dramatic and we'll lose the reality thread that I felt in season one -- you won't let that happen, right?

Great premiere! Strong! Connie, you are a hunka hunka woman! The acting in this show is superb! Thank you all so much!!

Glad to have the show back! Great 1st show.

This show is amazing, I couldn't wait until tonight to watch it and now that I got to watch it I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. I want Coach Taylor to come back and coach the Panthers though!

Loved the season premiere. But why did you take out the original music from the dvd release of season one?

Great first show!

Will Matt Serason become head coach?

Thanks for taking the time to talk to us!

This is Josh and Benji and Grace from San Antonio. We are extras and we're having so much fun. Thank you for hiring us and letting us cheer for the Panthers!!We love the show and will wathc every week. Even when we're not on. Josh Benji and grace Zello

Kyle & Connie are so real that you can feel the love between them.

Poor Buddy - can't catch a break! HAHA

Jeff - PLEASE DON'T LET NBC CANCEL THIS SHOW! It's a hell of a lot better than some of the other crap they're bringing to the table

Oh my gosh, I love this show....BUT I wish we had a little back story on Austin and Coach's experience there. And, I agree with Kris and Joan M's comments: don't let the drama overshadow the "real" personalities. Seriously, you guys are the best--best acting, best looking, best writing. (please don't guest star R.O'D.)

There was nothing out of "the norm" They are capturing the life of real teens in a small texas town. Thanks for keeping it real and thanks for keeping it in Austin!

I think everyone is missing the point with the drinking... the point is that football players in Dillon are above the law... because they're demigods

Dan - are you kidding? What I saw & heard was great! You must have a problem withyour TV

Please don't make it that Matt and Julie break up.

I agree with Ryan - I wish I had a Nielsen box too! We rushed home from eating out so I wouldn't miss a minute of the show!

Hi Jeff :
Just happened to log on to check when the show premieres and saw this. Here's to a great second season of the best show on the air, which we're looking fwd. to viewing later !

Cheers, d & J.

having some shows a little dark keeps it real!

I've spent the last few months trying to convince everyone I know that the people who aren't watching this show are directly responsible for the decline of contemporary American culture...

hope it helped a little

I really like the show, but as a mother of a 16 and 14 year old, I'm disappointed with how freely the kids in the show are drinking. I know that drinking is part of high school, but shouldn't the football players be a little worried about getting caught? Or just not doing it.

This is the best show ever. As a teacher of high school kids, I enjoy the drama. These kids have tough choices and are really struggling. Kudos to great writers, actors, and production team.

Connie, you are wonderful in this show!

I was in the pilot - sitting in the stands at PHS high school - in the cold & wet. I had a WODERFUL time being a part of such a magnificint show!

I was disappointed that the show went to the dark side tonight. The show is a great show without doing something that is out of the norm for high school kids. It is too bad. Let's hope out high school kids don't go around killing and then throwing them off the bridge!

I am kind of worried about this season. It has already been a scary start. Everyone has changed their personalities a little bit and I feel that it might lose the reasons why we fell in love with them before. One thing that I wan to know is the whole situation with Tami and Eric, that isn't going to lead to a divorce is it?

what can we do to help keep this show on the air? (besides watching.)

i am afraid NBC will cancel it. was it really smart to move it to Friday nights (when a logical viewership will be at their own Friday night football games?) Or is there less pressure to produce high ratings on Friday nights?

I did notice that NBC promoted it during previews in movie theaters.

Fingers cross that this is a good season.

Of all you are wonderful in the show. And Kyle has the coach down Pat. I grew up in a small town like that. (And you will probably cut this part, but man, is he easy on the eyes.)

I just love the show. I am SO happy that they moved to Friday nights. Just makes more sense. The story lines for this year seem exciting and I can't wait until next week.

i just have to say I started watching this show over the summer and now I'm hooked! It's such a great show and the acting is excellent...I'm so glad I started watching it because I would be missing out.

You CANNOT let them get caught for killing that stalker! He got what he deserved!!!!

Great opening show! Thanks for capturing the spirit of small town life and Texas football.

Love the show. How about sending me next weeks show...NOW! Can't wait. Couldn't watch the episodes last season on tv but loved catching up on the computer. I am excited about Friday Night Lights being on FRIDAY NIGHTS. Good Luck with the new day.

wow.. yall are awesome!!!

OMG! What a great opening!!!!!

congratulations
