Thanks everyone!

Connie: We are truly so grateful to the fans who have supported our show. Keep telling us what you think cause we really do want to shed the truest light on what it is to be a teenager or parent or what it is to be a human being, whether that's in a small or big town.

Jeff: And on behalf of the crew, writers, and actors, I'd like to thank our fans for watching us cause they've been a big part of why we're coming back. And we're going to make it worthwhile. This season is going to have some really great episodes. It's going to be fantastic and I'm really proud... so thank you all.

My whole family watches it. My kids love it, my sister and her family, my dad, my aunts. Please don't ever cancel this show it is the best show on tv!!

Its football season! How can they cancel this show. The team splits, the current economy factor will hit home on alot of levels here. This show has so much to cover its crazy to cancel now. If they need more sponsers, they should link, some how the military recuitment add both as a story line and commercials. With all these companies going under, how can they not hit/follow-up on the story about going to poor school and starting all over again. Its the American dream story of "Getting back on your feet and building a Dynasty."

Hi everyone. The trouble with being poor is that it takes up all of your time. Help me! I can not find sites on the: Texas health insurance rate. I found only this - buy business in lebanon. We don know whether to laugh or cry. All rates are based on a new car loan of. THX , Huntley from Romania.

Summer 2010? I have been waiting SO LONG to tune in this Fall for this show and I am VERY sad that it is not coming back for another year. I am REALLY glad that NBC signed another season of this show... BUT - I REALLY would like to see it air sooner than later. I live for FNL... it was my life-blood last year, please consider an earlier launch date!

What - we have to wait until Summer of 2010 for the next season? Way too long! Glad you finally stopped moving it around on the schedule. I came to the show late in 1st season - I don't think the marketing really reflected the content. Over the 2nd season I convinced so many people to watch and all loved the realistic dialogue and complex relationships. None of them would had ever watched it based on the marketing and they were surprised at how great the writing/acting is and they are now fans. Bring it back sooner please-can't wait to see what happens next.

My husband and I love this show....so genuine. Sorry to see so many of the characters we have come to love over the past 3 seasons leave, however we are curious what will happen next!! Whenever the show does get canceled I would love to see it end with a story line catching us up on what happened with everyone.....Is Jason doing well in NJ, married with more kids, did Smash go pro, did Riggins(our personal favorite) finish college and make something of himself and maybe even married Lyla, Matt and Tyra. That would be awesome. The best show on television!! Keep up the great writing!!

this is by far the best show i have ever seen.. the actors do sowell of playing out real life situations that bring me back to high school like it was yesterday... i have bought all three episodes and its just not enough. i hope there is more to come, keep up the good work

Friday Night Lights WHY must we wait!! for Direct TV to finish their series before FNL is seen on NBC? OK OK we are happy that a deal was made, however, how many would be willing to PAY $5.00, $10.00 a show, or per month, just to be able to see each episode along with the FIRST showing on Direct TV?? Some of us are UNABLE to change CABLE SYSTEMS, however, money SPEAKS!! Could there be a way in which Comcast, or any other cable system would have the ability to allow us to buy each episode and that money could go directly to "Direct TV or NBC or BOTH". LEAVE COMMENTS!!! This may not be for everyone, but their are so MANY of us who are willing to pay. What do u think??
thanks,

PLEASE COME BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON!

Will there be a season 4?

This is my favorite show on T.V. The season finale was awesome, but I was a little disappointed that Matt didn't end up going to his dream college. As a college bound senior, I know it's totally unrealistic for a kid to turn down their dream school to be with their high school girlfriend/grandmother.

Love the show. There are so few stories left on TV; there are still some of us out there who long for narrative that is not centered solely around salacious, violent, and thoughtless topics. Give us something that has some heart and some relationships that are healthy and committed. Though I don't agree with everything on the show, I believe it is a good story. I hope it will continue for several seasons!

Please sign Janine Turner for another 2 years of FNL's. She has so many fans here in Austin, Texas and we will be terribly disappointed if she is not a continuing part of the show.

You are the best show on T.V. Thanks for the show. I have been watching season 2. How refreshing to see what it really is like having a new baby.I love the characters. Congrats!!!!
Karen

Great show! Thrilled to learn that there will be another season. Thanks for adding Janine Turner to cast, she's terrific! Hope her character will be expanded now that the McCoy family storyline is developing. She showed real strength as a protective Mom on the 3/27 show.

I LOVE THIS SHOW! I actually cried when you had to cut season 2 short. Thank you for bringing it back!

Seriously, love it.

I am so in love with this show... I will say, adding Janine Turner ( my favorite actor every) was a really good needed thing!!! This episode where JD hits his son, incredible. I just adore this show. Janine and Connie are why I watch.... please keep it coming!!

Friday Night Lights is the best show on televison - accolades to the writers and actors. The show touches all demographics in America today The conversation Tammy had with Julie in the last episode should be standard with mothers and daughters every where.

My daughter, Reagan, has three-year-old Presley Shea, and, if warranted, as Presley ages, I would hope Reagan would have that exact conversation with her.

Please keep the show coming to the American public!

Valerie Payne
Grandmother in Oklahoma

Friday Night Lights is my favorite television show and accolades go the writers and actors. The show is a true depiction of life in all of America because the show addresses issues which touch all demographics in this country today.

I was moved to tears in the last episode when Tammy talked with Julie on her losing her virginity. That particular conversation should be standard with mothers and daughters every where. My conversation with my daughter, Reagan, about 17 or 18 years was similar and by God's grace all turned out wonderfully with her. Now Reagan has three year old Presley Shea and I pray as Presley ages, should her life warrant it, Reagan would have that exact conversation with her.

Please keep the wonderful episodes coming to the American television public.

Valerie Payne
Grandmother in Oklahoma

Please NBC. Don't cancel this show! My wife and I are a key demographic. We patronize the sponsers of Friday Night Lights.

Awesome show true vision of how Texas hs football is! Are you going to follow up with smash at Texas A&M?

All I want to say is this is the best show on TV. if NBC cancels this show i will never watch NBC again

I hope the people who make the decisions to keep this show on the air read my comment. I have watched EVERY airing of Friday Night Lights. Every single time I watch the show I am AMAZED at the acting. Every show makes me teary eyed and nastalgic. I really think it may be the best ALL around show on the air. I also think it deserves a better time slot than Friday night. The young demographics are out on Friday night. I am definately not young anymore and thank God for my DVR that enables me to not miss one single episode.

I have absolutely loved this show from the get go, however, I was devastated in last nights episode (2/27/09) when I heard the slur in the dialogue about "idiots and Special Olympics". Until this, I think this show has always been very responsible in it's writing and is a show that has molded the adult main characters to be role models of integrity. I work for Special Olympics and there is absolutely NOTHING idiotic about any of the athletes with intellectual disabilities that I work with - quite the contrary, these athletes exude courage, and integrity - they represent all that used to be good about sports...joy of the game, sportsmanship, teamwork, etc. I hope the Producers and writers will step up and do the right thing they are always preaching in this show - take responsibility for this mistake, own it, and make a public apology to the nearly 3 million athletes with intellectual disabilities particpating in Special Olympics worldwide, that were insulted by this scene.

Just wanted to thank you guys for creating the best show on tv. I don't understand why it isn't more popular than it is and I was pretty bummed went you went off the air for a while there. I really hope that you start getting the recognition you deserve so that I can enjoy FNL for years to come. I'm 35 years old and don't usually like drama type shows geared towards teenagers but clearly FNL is a lot more than that (if it's even that at all). I have also never written into a show to thank them before... you guys are the first and definitely deserve it. Great writing and lovable characters, great actors, top notch all the way around.
Thanks!

I am so glad this is back on the air it is great show with a top notch talent pool. It is good to see a man that handles his responsibilities as he is beset weekly with ever mounting circumstance. I just hope the writers don't go for the predictable suicide season ender for the new QB there is so much potential here for greater storytelling.

This show is so amazing, makes me wanna be a better person. Please come back for another season!!

I thought I just pile on here with the love fest, Got hooked the first season it was on, so thankful its still alive when so many shows get the axe before their full potential. I love how the show is its own, not trying to be the movie.

Just a really well written show! The story lines and the characters just draw me in. I don't feel like I'm watching some random tv show, but more like a serious theater.

Keep up tthe Great Work!

I agree with Bonnie above, great to see Janine Turner back, wonderful addition to what was already a great show

I was a big fan of Janine Turner in Northern Exposure so when I heard she was in Friday Night Lights, I just had to check it out. Loved the show and still love her! Thanks for a new must see!

What a great show. It is uplifting and encouraging. What a treat.

Ms.Britton you are one of the greatest most talented actresses i've ever watched. Not meaning to say that the rest of the cast is not great, but i think that you along with Kyle are maybe the most underrated actors of our time. Each of you deserved an Emmy+Golden Globe for each of the three seasons of the show.

Hello from Greece,
Yes Friday Night Lights has found its way to my country and i have to say that it is a truly beloved show with a great share of fans here.Thank you all for presenting one of the best, deepest & most honest shows us tv has to offer.

Special shout out to Connie '89.

So glad you are back on NBC!!! This is the best show! Here's to 4 and 5...and 9 or 10!!!

So glad you are back on NBC!!! This is the best show! Here's to 4 and 5...and 9 or 10!!!

Thanks for bringing back season 3 to NBC. Can't get enough of this show to the point my wife and I bought season 1 & 2 on DVD to get through the withdrawls while waiting for season 3. Here's to seasons 4+. Great job!

This is the best show on television. I sure hope it comes back for a 4th season. I wonder when we will find out? I can't wait to see East Dillon kick the Panthers butt!

Just watched the Season Finale on Directv last night! My husband and I love this show! Have heard rumors that this may be the last season. I hope that isn't true. We look forward to watching it every week. Please don't let this be the end!!

i luv this show..please tell me they are goona have a season 4????

Love the show!!! Can't wait for Season 3 on NBC. Connie Britton is gorgeous!!!

Real quick I have to say as well that my family is hooked! Keep up the excellent work. The actors are awesome. I'm surprised we don't see more about them in the showbiz buzz. But honestly that's what makes the show feel so real. They are winning us over every episode!

I love this show! I had heard great things about this FNL from friends, so I went out & bought seasons 1 & 2 & watched them all in like 3 days (I know, I need a life!!!) But I love this show. I grew up in a small town in Montana & football is a big deal there also! It brings me back! Thanks for producing a show that is so relatable to all age groups! I hope for the continued sucess of the show! The cast & writer are amazing! They should be really proud of themselves! Keep up the wonderful work, best of luck in 2009!!!

THANK GOD YOU'RE COMING BACK. MY STEPSON GOT ME WATCHING FNL, AND I WAS HOOKED. I'M 47, AND STILL GOING THRU WITDRAWAL. WITHOUT A DOUBT, BEST WRITTEN SHOW ON TV, BEST CAST, AND MOST REAL!!! EVERYONE DESERVES AN EMMY. I WAS SO PISSED OFF, I BANNED NBC FROM MY TV. NOW THAT THE BEST SHOW ON TV IS BACK, I'LL COME BACK. I WORK FOR DISH, CAN'T GO WITH DIRECT. (THANK GOD)!! PLEASE KEEP THIS PROGRAM ON THE AIR AND THANKS TO NBC FOR BRINGING YOU BACK HOME.

you can't believe how happy my wife and I are about the show coming back on. We are 42+ and love it. We have 2 girls ages 16 & 11. My oldest has has some major surgery and she is on the cheer leading team in HS. We have watched since the first season. Everyone tells me that coach Taylor reminds them of me and so does the family style. This show is awesome for people who can relate. Just try to keep the X off the show. I hope you guys are on for a few more years

I have been watching your show since Season 1. I live in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. Your show is awesome. hope to see a couple more Seasons.. Thanks.

When is the show going to air again? I am going through withdrawals.

I love this show, the interaction between characters is wonderful, but I believe it is the cameras take on things that makes it so unique. I am tickled that I can watch the show again, and that it reruns so frequently so you can catch it if you missed it. Thank you so much for keeping the show alive and well and moving in new directions. I would love to see a little more football action and a little less JD McCoy. His character has very little substance. The only other constructive criticism I would offer, and this only from a loyal fan, is that the storylines seem to come to a very sudden end. I am aware that the writer's strike impacted last season dramatically, but the strike doesn't seem to coincide with where this abruptness began. This show comes closer to mimicing real life than most others do, and life doesn't work that way, things taper off and go away, you don't just get over it.

The show is absolutely amazing. I've been watching since the first ep of season one and havent missed a single one. So happy I have DirecTv... haha. Keep up the good work. definitely one of the best shows on tv hands down.

you guys touched my heart and made me laugh at myself in the last episode where Tami has a fit over Julie's tattoo. that dialogue could have been lifted straight out of my kitchen 2 years ago when my teenage daughter got a lip ring. you guys are pitch perfect when it comes to the mother daughter relationship between Tami and Julie. Keep making me laugh, smile and cry.

Thank you Direct TV for broadcasting Friday Night Lights. NBC, you need to keep it going.
This is by far the best program on TV.
The writing is excellent.
This is the best group of actors, I have ever seen in any
media. Keep up the great work!!

hey guys, i was just watching season 2 on dvd and i was wondering, the episode where street, riggins, and lyla are in mexico and riggins takes them on the cruise and street jumps into the water. What is the name of the song during that scene?

To all who are freaking out that the show is just on Direct TV. Listen its on Direct TV 1st and then around February its going to be on NBC. You guys need to READ before assuming things. Its a great show and we are all going to get to watch it in time, so chill people.

i have direct tv and i am happy that the show is still on!!! sorry about those who dont have it LOL - maybe you should realize that satellite tv is the here and now not cable (which is so 80's) :)
Love the show!!!

I heard season 3 has started but only on direct tv. I cannot find it on the internet to watch the new episodes. Any pointers from anyone on how I can find it to watch? Thanks, Renee

Just another disappointing part of what's wrong with the world. This great show can now only be watched by people with directTV. Thanks for teasing us for the first 2 years NBC, then ripping it away from us for a few dollars. Switching to directTV will not help your ratings, they were just the one's that wrote the biggest check. How can this help the shows ratings when 1 out of 10 people have directTV??? Please respond so we can make sense of this.

They ruined it for me. I really enjoyed this show and was looking forward to season 3 on NBC. Between the writers strike and having to wait until winter 2009, this show will be a faded memory. Already irritated and losing interest. I will not go to Direct TV for one show, sorry.

Why, oh why, aren't you on something other than Direct TV?

I cannot believe this is only on direct tv......what a shameful, monopolistic move. I only have free - over the air TV. why on earth would you do this.....thanks again for another stupid move. You liberal media outlets SUCK....to bad FOX doesn't pick this up - they are the only real network....

Well I was a loyal viewer of this show since the first episode but NBC's shameful attempt at forcing me into switching my cable/satellite provider to see one of my favorite shows has left me jaded. I don't care if it does come on cable and dishnet in April...I will not watch. Thank you NBC for ruining one of the few decent shows left on TV. Is it not enough that you torture us with pop-up commercials that take up half the screen right in the middle of shows already? Now you try to force us over to a substandard satellite service. I used to have Direct TV...I got rid of it for a reason and will not be coerced into returning. I'll find another show on another network to watch.

Im so pissed off that I have to wait till 2009 to watch this great show or sign up for the crappiest tv programing in the world Direct TV!! Will we atleast be able to watch on-line episodes for season 3?

I am so bummed that FNL's can only be seen on DirecTV. I will truly miss it. It was my #1 program. I will not change to DirecTV. I love my DISH TV.

I am SO addicted to this show! I am 43 and I can't believe I came across this show. Seen it advertised before a movie on a dvd (I believe) and thought it looked good. My brother told me about a site to watch it on since my computer IS my television and I remembered to look this show up first and I watched for a couple weeks until I saw from season 1 all the way through what is available on season 2. I PRAY this show comes back! Is there any way to send my 'wishes' somewhere it might help to bring this back on? Please let me know if so. I feel it's such a great show and I am getting friends together to begin watching it from the beginning to get MORE FANS so we can get this back on air! Thank you for such 'group effort' to bring something with great acting and story lines! Now I'm bored! smile

I do not watch much TV, other than sports. I LOVE this show and cannot wait for its return. I cannot believe it will be so long before it returns. I hope it continues!

I love this show. I really hope that it is coming back!!! I look forward to it every week. i think the low rating is because it is on a friday. Someone please tell me it is coming back on soon!!!

I love this show. I really hope that it is coming back!!! I look forward to it every week. i think the low rating is because it is on a friday. Someone please tell me it is coming back on soon!!!

I am so grateful the show is coming back, truly the best show on tv. I agree move it to a prime time spot, give it the chance it deserves.

Hey! I have no words to describe FNL. It's simply the best! Every episode gives you perspective about certain situations in life, and it makes me cry- it's beautiful. I am an 18 yearold from South-Africa and me and my family just finished the first season. In South-Africa FNL has a lot of viewers and it's shown on primetime tv, why don't all the Americans watch it? Please Nbc, don't cancel FNL! I think I'm probably not making a change, but full hearts, clear eyes, can't lose! I believe in that motto! FNL changed my whole family's life. Connie, I love you and Minka! Fantastic acting! As well as all the other actors, but I'm in love with Minka! Hehe. Keep up the great work, hopefully God will keep the show going, I'm praying...

I am a high school football player in a small town just like dillon my family and I love the show we want to know where it went we always relate players and coaches and people in the town to people in our small football town please email me or something with where the show has gone please thank you

our family absolutely loves this show...the acting is so natural. we love the relationship between coach and his wife. anyway, please don't cancel it, it's the only show on TV that we cannot WAIT to see each week!!!

I was just getting caught up on the episodes when the Writer's Strike happened. I'm very disappointed that there seems to be little action on getting the Panthers' season going again.

Give me more!

I want to show that everywhere around the world friday night lights is seen and have fans, I'm from Costa Rica and I was devastaded when I found out that maybe it is the end of the show. I hope the show will continue I really do

Oh boy, here we go again! I am truly devastated to hear the latest news about NBC stopping the FNL's production due to low ratings... I'm a die hard fan since episode one... I've been "advertising" this show to so many relatives and friends! I just don't want to see the BEST TV show in history to go away!!! I really don't understand why such fine and rare TV drama so well written and beautifully acted isn't drawing more viewers!! This is without a doubt one of the very few TV dramas worth watching for!!! I've never fought for a TV show before... NBC, I'm BEGGING you to PLEASE KEEP this show going for all the loyal fans!!! Thank you!!!

This is the best show that has ever been on TV. It pulls at my heartstrings. We don't like football, nor do we care for Texas but this show is a part of our life. Landry and Tyra are so amazing, coach is so real and wonderful. Every Friday night is such a treat. Go out on Friday and miss this? Not us! We have TIVO but if we didnt, we would just stay home.

love the show! it is one of the only shows my husband and i both look forward to. we grew up in tx and can relate to fnl. keep up the good work. i hope it to see it next season...

My husband and I love the show. That is the only show that we can agree on to watch together. I wish it was on more often. thanks!

Just wanted to tell the writers they are doing a phenomenal job. My husband and I are absolutely in love with this show. It's the highlight of our week. I think the writing is incredible- they do a great job presenting a challenge or situation, and dealing with it and then moving on. They never stay on one thing for too long (except for the drama between Julie and Tami got kinda old after awhile and could have been resolved sooner). We are DYING for next season - and there better be a next season! This series needs to be on prime time TV- Tues, Wed or Thurs night. We LOVE FNL!!

I watch the show every friday night and I agree that it is a great show but there are also a lot of holes in the story line.

Without a doubt the BEST show on TV. My wife and I have been hooked since the very first episode. Look forward to watching it every week. The writing and acting are outstanding. Kyle and Connie deliver Emmy winning performances week after week. Thanks!!!

I love this show. I haven't missed an episode. Excellent writing and acting which deserves to be recognized with many awards!

Keep this show on the air. It's a gem.

my husband and i love this show...everything about it; music, script, characters, actors. i wish more people knew how great it is. thanks for the full episodes online. it's the only way i can watch it.

I wanted to write in and tell you all that my boyfriend and I truly believe that Friday Night Lights is the BEST television show on hands-down. The writing is brilliant, realistic, and I will watch the show for as long as it's on-air. I hope people have caught on to how great of a show it is, we DVR it every Friday night, and don't know what we'd do without it. Thanks so much NBC for Friday Night Lights!

I recorded "Pantherama" (Nov 16th) and just watched it....there was a newspaper guy in Julie's journalism class that she had a conversation with about writing a story on the football team. I went through the credits several times to find him. He's name is Daniel Howard. He's totally awesome! Definite eye candy! I think he should be brought back and he and Julie should so be a couple or something like that. He's by far cuter than some of the other dudes on the show...even some of the main characters. I'd really like to get to know him.

My husband and I both love the show!We just had a baby boy and my husband is a football coach. We love the plot, characters and you all make it so much like real life. It's refreashing!!!

FNL is my favorite show. I often have to catch up with the series by watching the episodes online because I work nights. I appreciate having the access to the episodes via the website.

Will this access continue and how is the writers strike effecting new episodes coming out? Will we only be having reruns?

Thank you!

Like the other fans who are hoping for a good long future for Friday Night Lights, I keep coming back for the fun, well crafted story line, superb acting writing and directing, and the refreshing and inspirstional exploration of true character, strength, commitment and integrity in the face of constant temptation.
I really miss the football in season 2. I am NOT a football fan (an urban mom)but watching these characters play and cheer is a dramatic thrill and frankly gives coach Taylor the payoff. He seems a bit on the sidelines so far.

My housemate and I are avid fans of your show. As students of the University of Michigan, we couldn't help noticing that there is an uncanny similarity between the Dillon Panthers and the Michigan Wolverines. Both have yellow (maize) and blue for their school colors, both quarterbacks (Saracen and Henne) are number 7, and both running backs (Smash and Hart) are number 20. Is it just us?? Are we crazy?? Or was this meant to be???? We eagerly anticipate your response.

-FNL's Biggest Fans Ever (EVER)

I am not very interested in football, nor am I from a small town or the south, but I absolutely love this show. The characters are all truly likable, thanks to the amazing actors, but I especially enjoy the way the relationships are portrayed in a way I think everyone can relate to. I especially love Eric and Tami Taylor's relationship, it is not perfect, but it is loving and something to aspire to. This show consistently makes me cry and laugh out loud. Please keep making this show as great as it is. Thanks!!

My 7th grader and I LOVE FNL and look forward to every episode. What a great show -- it is by far our favorite show on TV.

I just have to say, that in addition to what we all know to be a masterfully written, acted, and overall crafted show, mad props to whoever chose to include a 'Nortec Collective' song for the second scene in Mexico with Tim, Lyla and Jason. They are from my hometown of Tijuana. Awesome.

i love the show. i was a bit worried when the season started that it had lost something but my faith is restored. the writing is spot on as is the acting and craft of the show. i am concerned about its friday night time slot in terms of what is before and after having little relationship to the viewers most likely to watch this show, as well as the notion that a good deal of the audience that would watch are in the midst of their own friday night lights. i also would like to add that i am neither a parent nor a teenager as the show promotions, public service type announcements and blog comments seem to emphasize. I think this show appeals to all who enjoy character-centric story lines done in the most compelling way. for me, the obvious appeal to a demographic to which I don't belong seems a bit exclusionary and I think may again be sending too strong a message of intended viewership. on the other hand, if it's getting you more viewers though, i'm for it. (i also don't think a bit of message is a bad thing, it can just become heavy handed.)one final thought...i don't think nbc is doing the best job promoting the show. i don't see the actors on interview shows, they didn't push the show enough when the new season began, and it seems the critics and fans are the loudest cheerleaders right now. NBC needs to do some work to get the word out. thanks again! LOVE the show. Can't wait for next Friday!

Still enjoying the show! My 63 year old dad even watched it with me the other night after the World Series was complete. His final comment was, "Darn it, they've done me just like DALLAS and now I'm hooked!" Great job...keep up the good work.

This is my favorite current show on TV. This year marks 20 years since my senior year of high school football at North Farmington High School in Farmington Hills, MI. I went on to play for Bo Schembechler at Michigan which was an amazing experience, but I will always remember my high school football days too. While I have always stayed close to football and both the Michigan program and the North Farmington High School program, your show served in part to inspire me to write a letter to the current North Farmington team about how special this time is in their lives and what being a North Farmington Raider meant and still means to me. I was honored when the head coach invited me to deliver the letter in person to the team. That was a great moment for me. Keep up the great work - Friday Night Lights is an amazing show with amazing characters! Oh - and it doesn't hurt that Tami Taylor is the hottest mom character in television history - Connie Britton is awesome. I also wish Coach Taylor would have been my coach in high school! :-)

I don't watch television anymore because it is terrible. Except for this show. It is the only thing on television worth watching. I hope against hope that it won't follow the footsteps of other good shows, (news radio, arrested development, a few others), and either fade into oblivion, or sell out. Something must be done about a mostly useless american audience, that wouldn't know good t.v. if it slapped them across the face. I hope that the Dillon Panther motto holds true for FNL.

Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can't lose.

I am a Pastor of a Christian Church and a Chaplain of a College Division II Football team. I speak to the Chargers whenever they come to the Northeast. I have been showing the part where Tim goes to Church to my church leaders, they are amazed. My chief admin. started to cry. Really big tears! I have so many people charged up about the show that they all want to watch my Season one DVD's to catch up. I tell them to get their own copy. Honestly. You guys are great! writers, directors, producers, and actors. The storyline is amazing and the interaction between the actors is so compelling. You guys have really done your homework. Keep it up. I am getting my whole church praying for you.

Way to go with second season. I am loving every minute of it. I get butterflies in my stomach every time I watch. I love every character on the program. I feel like I am connected somehow to each and every one of them. Please, keep up the wonderful scripts. I will always be a dedicated viewer. Thanks

I have nothing but praise to the FNL cast & crew. I truly feel that it's one of the best shows on tv. I wish NBC would stop moving you, but the important thing is that you all are back for season 2. Hats off to the writers and actors, you all do an amazing job of bringing the feel of small town life and the "home team" pride and spirit. You show us so much about what life is truly like for kids, parents, teachers, and coaches. Keep up the great work!

PS I wish I had Tami for a high school counselor when I was in high school.

Strange. Everyone seems to dislike the "murder" sequence yet I find that whold developing episode compelling and suspenseful. It deepens the characters immeasurably. Same with the heartbreaking post-partum depression and constant strain of new baby on Tami. Eric Taylor's stress, Matt's woeful lonesomeness--the whole first episode is gritty and painful. Tough going and a real effort at enlarging the drama.

As an aside, I was living in Odessa, TX when Buzz Bissinger's book was published. It was an amazing experience. You have captured much of the essence of small town insularity without stereotyping, a feat to be admired. And of course the threats on Bissinger's life were interesting. You have kept all that in sub rosa and taken the drama way above it. Really admirable. And a huge thank you for getting the dialogue so right! Now that "Ya'll" has become so common it is so rarely used correctly. Also Coach Taylor's muttered "A,right."
Perfect. I am far from Texas now but I don't think you ever get all the dust off your boots. Best of luck with a beautiful show.
Margot

First, I would like to say that I think this show is one of the few shows worth watching these days, but I agree with many of the other posts in that I found the murder disappointing. I find that story line most unrealistic, and that is what I like about the show. It has been so much like real life-only better. I was a "brain" in high school and had friends like him. I do not believe that he would have made that choice; he would have talked some sense into her and would have done the right thing. I was born in and now live in the northeast, but I grew up in the south and went to a huge high school where everything seemed to revolve around football. You have so many things right about this show, and the characters are wonderful and are expertly played. Their lives seem so real, and watching them is so entertaining. I think some of the new story lines are great--the lonliness of being alone with a new baby and of being away from the one you love, Lila becoming a born again Christian while trying to deny her attraction to Riggins (who could blame her!), and a seemingly perfect teenage love relationship crumbling apart. However, I am afraid that the show could turn into a trashy soap opera, like most of the other crap on TV, and that would be a shame. Also, I know my husband and sons will lose interest if football does not continure to be a major focus of the show--and I might too. Good luck in getting the right balance again this year. Also, I thought I should add that I have never written any kind of comment online before, which is probably a good thing considering how long this is, but I like Friday Night Lights so much that I felt compelled to do it.

Do not let this show descend into Melrose Place. Do not insult the faithful viewers by sexing it up and throwing in a little murder to keep it interesting. Stay true to the show and market the hell out of it. Finally putting it on the night contained in the title of the show eases confusion and just might help make it a success. Don't alienate your old viewers by courting new ones.

I was so impressed with the show this past Friday. As a new mom myself I appreciated how true to form the show portrayed how challenging life with a new baby can be. Thank you for putting such a great show together. My husband and I love it. He even had more compassion for me and our colicky baby after watching!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE-Tell me that Riggins and Lyla are going to get back together. I am dying to see these two again. They have an awesome dynamic. Hope there is more of them. Connie did an awesome job showing all the emotions of a new mom especially since she has not given birth. She hit the mark.

Y'all, I watched every single episode of season one on DVD this week and then caught up with season two tonight. I am in love, and I'm so happy I've discovered the show (yes, took me long enough). Thank you. It's wonderful. Connie Britton, I'd like to be Tami Taylor when I grow up - can we make this happen?

Love the show. Verite camerawork is awesome. It reminds me of Paul Greengrass and Bourne Ultimatum. Story is terrific. Can't believe other bloggers would want to have had the kids call 911?...where's the tension in that? The 'born again" storyline seems to be the most boring, but I guess its Texas and we have to have some of that. Suggestion for future storyline. Have some young player emerge as a superstar - the next Smash. And then the coach finds out he's gay. That would be some good tension.

I love the show, and makes me miss being in highschool but the only thing I dont like is the murder story line, i would hate to see him go to jail or this drag out the whole season, and I think it should be aired on a diffrent night fridays are when everyones at football games. go figure. but keep up the good work

what have you done to this show. it sucks the whole show is a close up.o look how dramatic we are. no your ridiculous. an honor student kills someone raping his girlfriend. hes a hero not a fugitive. everyone .everyone is miserable incloudingthe viewers. grainy closeups all closeups.wheres football?your ruining what was becoming my favorite show. im actually writing this while the 2nd episode is on. im a 44 year oldsingle male never commented on ashow before. ihope it turns around but maybe you only had one good year in you

Did the show get new writers this year? The story lines seem to have a different feel this year than last.

Great show last year - without a doubt, the best, most unique piece of television in years. Unfortunately, the first episode this year with the killing seemed completely unrelated to what you've developed. It was the day-to-day normalcy of the characters lives that was so appealing, the capturing of the non-dramatic aspects of life so rarely seen on TV. I hope you can write your way out of it. It may not be a deal breaker, but I'm less inclined to follow along at this point. Good luck.

I can't even watch again after the murder last week, it has totally ruined the show for me.

Love, love, love this show!! Great writing and directing, wonderful cast and superb acting... Kyle and Connie- so awesome and beautiful as a couple with great chemisty! And to all the young actors- so impressed with your skills and abilities to make all your charactors seem so real! Keep up the great work!!! ;)

Premier: I’m sorry, but this was the worst hour of television I have seen in years. The jittery camera work made me nauseous, the extremely slow plot had me taking a break from my TIVO on several occasions and the lack of direction had me surfing the net during the show and paying attention during the commercials. If this is a preview of the rest of the season, save yourself the trouble and start writing the finale now. Sorry.

What a great show and excellent cast! I think the writers did a superior job with the first season and hope they'll continue. I like the various stories, but hope they won't reach too far beyond what the audience will hang in there with (Rapist stalker murdered and dumped? Hmm. It's really okay to just have Tyra and Landry hook up, let Tyra have trouble with school and Landry, trouble with football-- we won't be bored.). You have a very talented group of actors and are fortunate to have such a great crew! Thanks.

FNL is THE BEST drama in TV history, hands down, PERIOD. If I could give out Emmys, I give one to everyone involved in this show! I sincerely believe that all die hard fans would agree with me! I just don't understand why NBC has to fight so hard to keep this show on air... this show should be #1 in ratings! To anyone who's never watched this show, it's a MUST SEE TV!!! Thank you to everyone involved in this show. Keep up the great work! :)

Hi! I am French and believe me when I say that I would never have thought that I would enjoy so very much watching a tv show about Texas football players. That's because it speaks of truths that are universal, it helps break boundaries and make us remember why we're all part of the same species and it that's what the best of art really is about.

So keep playing with full hearts, we'll keep watching with clear eyes from all over the world and... you know the drill ;)

Incredible writing/acting/directing but I was also bothered by the murder. FNL has been so good at mining drama from the day-to-day struggles of these characters without resorting to TV cliches. I found Tyra and Landry's budding relationship sufficiently dramatic in all of its awkwardness. I'll definitely keep watching but I hope that the murder doesn't eclipse the good stuff about the show, which in my opinion, is usually the small stuff. Of course, you guys did a great job with Jason's injury/recovery, which in the hands of a lesser show would have turned into unbearable melodrama, so...I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I have LOVED FNL and have been it's biggest champion.
However I HATE the "murder" thread. HATE IT. I can only hope that they did the right thing and called 911. I don't want to see weeks and week of guilt and regret. Landry is too much of a sweet heart to deal with covering up a murder. If I wanted to see that, I'd watch CSI.

Wonderful show. Please be realistic about the immigration issue and keep in mind that European Americans are now the minority in West Texas. That Hispanic Americans and Mexicans flee Mexico because Mexico is not a nice place to live. Something the media avoids saying.

Even tough I'm a bit sceptical towards the murder storyline I will certainly stick around to see how it plays out. I haven't been dissapointed by FNL yet.

Keep it up.

I am the wife of a small town football coach. I watch little TV, but enjoyed very much last season's Friday Night Lights and anticipated this years' season. I was disappointed it was moved to Friday night--game night. I did, however, have the opportunity to watch the season premiere. Ugh, disappointed again. I enjoyed everything up until the murder scene. It disappointed me enough that I don't care to make the effort to watch more. Good luck with your season!

This show rocks!!! I really hope the fact that it has been moved to Friday isn't a sign of it's imminent doom. Hopefully enough buzz will be generated to get folks watching this wonderful show. The writing is amazing, and the acting even better. Keep up the good work!

I was mystified by the first show! Isn't anyone in charge of continuity?? When we left off the coach's wife was barely pregnant ... next episode she's giving birth. World's fastest gestation? Same with the other story lines. Julie and Matt were wildly in love last episode. Now she's going to a honky-tonk to flirt with the band. Coach Taylor was still at Dillon High .. now he's been in Austin for eight months. On and on. I think you confused the audience and missed a chance to develop these story lines in a natural way; including an episode covering the hiring of a new coach.

I had the show set to record on my DVR and for some reason, I think it was my fault, the show did not record. I have been trying to watch the episode on line but the link Flashpayer doen't show any episode available yet. Can you let me know when one will be available. I don't want to hear about the show until after I can watch it.

I love the show, and like many fans would appreciate some listing of the music used in each episode...it is well chosen and evocative. I would love to be able to search it out again.

and...we're in our fifties! LOL

We are so in love with this show we can't even delete it off our TiVo tonight! Kyle and Connie and the rest of this cast are so fabulous. Never seen such naked emotion on a TV show, such well-played and acted scenes.

The handheld cameras, the real-life town, it's just so authentic and makes this show feel real, along with the superb acting.

Almost cried when it ended, I said to my husband, "Oh no, it can't be over already!!"

We're so happy FNL found its footing and is back for round two. :))

We're so there!

Wow. FNL is my husband and my favorite show and we were dying for the show to start. I thought it was awesome tonight but I have to agree that I am totally shocked by what happened with Tyra and Landry and am a little disturbed about it. This will obviously affect their relationship in a serious way & I have to agree that I'm a litle surprised and disappointed that they didn't just call 911. But other than that, Friday Night Lights is an incredible show and we can't wait for the season. The acting, story, etc. is all amazing.

I love the show. Best on television. BUT, please get a writer who actually knows what a christian high school kid is really like instead of the Hollywood stereotyped extreme wierdo version of a Christian. It's very painful for those of us who know the authentic ones.

You have to be kidding. Two teenagers opt to throw a body over a bridge when the guy was stalking her and attacked her. They had every reason to call 911 and would not have been in trouble at all. OH wait, we get to see them struggle with their bad decision in future episodes. You totally ruined these characters. I truly thought that the integrity of the show would stay true to last season, and we would see them at the ER room, making the right decision after all. Nope didn't happen. You sold out.

This was my first time ever watching FNL, I agree that it would have been better to see the teens call 911 instead of dumping the body. I have LOVED Kyle Chandler since he starred in my FAVORITE show Early Edition and was THRILLED to see him on TV again. I will have to catch up on past episodes of FNL, just so I'll know what all the excitement was abour last year. Great actors, writers, etc. and Great show.

Again, I LOVE the show and I will be watching EVERY Friday. Love to have you all back;00

I CANNOT convey just how happy we are to see FNL back on the air. It's our (my husband and me) favorite show~ last Friday he came running into the bathroom, around 9:30pm (central) and said, "Honey! We missed it"...I turned and grinned, and he said, "It's NEXT Friday, isn't it?"...and we both just started cracking up laughing!!!

SO great to have ya'll back~just so great....
