8-Month Gap
Jeff- The eight month gap between the finale and this season's premiere will not be explained. The season the show airs is an emotional center piece. Afterall, nothing happens in Texas when it's not football season.

I think the 8 month gap was great -- sticking to a "football" show in football season, a little bit of accounting for the real life time off (as opposed to Oct 5 being the next day after the season finale), but mostly I liked seeing that the characters have changed and grown.

You said nothing exciting happens in Texas except football games. As a Texan, I resent your comment. You haven't visited Fort Worth, my home town, or my neighbor, Dallas, with a world class symphony orchestra. There are so many cultural and historical links just in Northern Texas alone. By the way your plot tonight was too erratic and pretentious. You even added a murder into the plot. You should have stuck to one or two families the first night and a coherent plot. Most folks haven't seen the previous episodes so many months ago. You should post an apology to Texans and put a little more class in your show. We're not all red-necks.

The eight month gap and the way the stories were presented tonight made me feel like i was away from Dillon. Then I came back and caught up with everyone, but in a superficial way, like I would with real life aquaintances. great writing.
