Working with Young Actors

Connie: We get asked that a lot, and I have to say first of all, they are all so good taht I never really had to think about the fact that I'm working with a young actor. But also, for me, I think it's important not to look at them other than a peer because I think we're all just working together professionally. So it wouldn't really make much sense for us to look at them like children. It's worked out really well.

Kyle: They absolutely hold their own! The way that this show is shot teaches us all to be better actors. I told these younger actors to just wait until they do another show...it's totally different. Just think of the one thing you love to do most in life, and someone comes along and says "I'm gonna pay you to do this the way you like to do it." And that's how this show works...we're paid to do what we love and we have the freedom to do what we love the way we know best. Physically, emotionally, work ethically we have freedom...I love this show for that reason. It really means a lot to me to do it this way.

How much is ad-libbed? This show is the best show on television. My husband and I don't miss it!

I just wanted to write to you both and tell you what a great show you guys have and what a great job you both do! it's very realistic and brings back a lot of memories! I'm 53 years old, grew up in a small town in Illinois and was a football star in high school and of course loyal to my school for life. And I wanted to be a coach but life kinda got in the way.
So many of the things you guys have had on your show are so right on........Great Great Job! I sure hope you get renewed for next year because FNL IS one of the best shows on TV! Thank you both for great entertainment and a great job!

First off I hope you are all truely proud of the season you've put together. Know for alot of us "panther fans" it is so much more than just a TV show. The emotion from all of you (on the show) is so raw, it is truely an amazing thing to be able to view week after week. Connie and Kyle you both did an amazing job this season. You pour your hearts into this show and as viewers know that we pour just as much back. A truely amazing job. Be proud. I hope you bring it all back for another season. Go Panthers!

I watched the show initially because of the football appeal, but I now watch more to observe the manner in which you two conduct your marriage throughout the ups and downs of day-to-day life, as well your parenting skills. I am very appreciate that there is such a show on tv today with such a high moral standard. It is very refreshing watching you two. I am in federal law enforcement (not a football coach) and find myself watching how both of you handle the various things which confront you. How do you do it so well? Thank you for what you do.

Great show guys. BTW Kyle, my wife was devastated when you blew up on Gray's Anatomy (LOL). Question for Kyle, did you play high school football, and if so what memories did this show bring back?

I just wanted to say thanks to you two for heading up such a great show. It's really refreshing to watch this show because it is so unique and has so much depth. I hope there is more to come.

What is the status of the show next year? It is a great show and I would love to see it come back next year.
