I love this show and as just about everyone else I could not wait for Wednesday night to get here only to be sad when the best hour of tv was over.
This show is great, the actors are wonderful and you can really connect with all of them.
NBC would lose a lot if they do not continue this show.

What do you two like the best about FNL?

Just a statement of fact NBC has ordered 6 new SCRIPTS NOT EPISODES. As a extra on this incredible series I am extremley hopeful that we begin filming for the second season but only time will tell.

Mr. Chandler,
First, allow me to thank the writers and producers for a cast that all of us have truely fallen in love with. This is the best television series I have seen in years and years. (when I say years- I mean years- I'am 56 years old)
Mr. Chandler, Your portrayal as "Coach" is beyond admiral. Sir, I played ball in school and believe me when I say: "I would push a blocking sled (for you) 26 miles 385 yards: if you told me to. I would do it because I can see it in your eyes. (and I would be lousey at it as I was a second string q-back.
My wife and I can't wait for the summer re-runs, although we have never missed a show.
Thank you again Mr. Chandler for a few ( way too few) weeks of wonderful entertaintainment.

Just as the team had to endure much throughout the season, they survived and so will FNL! I did read that the show got picked up for 6 more episodes next season. This show had to compete with rival channels and some top rated shows, but I think that we as fans and America has showed that FNL is truly the top show in America now! Its not often a great show comes along to bring people together. No matter what age,race, or religion people unite to watch this great show! We love you all! Good luck and we hope to see you all next year.

Just wanted to say my wife, my mother, my father, my sister, and my unborn baby boy (future QB, due Aug 4th), love the show and NBC is crazy if there is not a second season. Best show on TV.

Since we're waiting, does everyone know that the show got picked up for 6 episodes next season? NBC will decide mid-May whether or not to pick up a whole season. Great News!!

i have a feeling that this blog is primarily a marketing tool for measuring the ratings or selling more advertisements online...so i will just cut to the chase here...in hopes that some execs will be reviewing these posts as well. Most of America will agree that there havent been many new shows that compete with ABC's LOST, particularly when it comes down to character development and acting. I must say, i feel closer to Friday Night Light's characters than i ever have Lost's and i am a Lost fanatic. Thank you Kyle and Connie for being so honest. Your true character shines through your characters. You are inspirations.

I love the show! I am a huge football fan to begin with. We watched the premiere and have watched every week. It really has a great story line and the cast of characters couldn't be better. Hi y'all... I'm on the West Coast, so I haven't watched yet, but I do have to tell you that I have loved the show and hope it continues to air on NBC. I really never thought I would watch the show (football theme) but had watched Kyle on "Early Edition" and Connie on "Spin City", so I thought I'd give it a go. I love the way in which the show is doen (open script/ 4 cameras) and have to say that FNL is easily the best show on TV. Easily.

Your chemistry together is amazing, but what blows me away are the relationships you have built with the "kids". How do you feel about being the parental figures on the show when, in reality, you are able to hang out with them all, save Aimee, in bars and whatnot? Does it add to your performances or is it a hurdle to overcome? How do you feel when hanging out- are y'all buds or does the parental thing carry over?

Thanks for making me feel the way I do about this show. At 32, I've never really "geeked out abotu a TV program, but I have completely fallen for FNL. Simply brilliant.

There simply is no other show on television. "Friday Night Lights" has captured the essence of the American heart that has been lost for years. The entire cast has demonstrated better acting than I've seen in 25 years of movies, television, and stage. Connie and Kyle, I've truly never seen anything more beautiful and convincing, more powerful and inspiring than your performances together. I'm incredibly, incredibly proud of you.

First, i just wanna say I love the show, and think it is amazing. All you guys did a marvelous job. How did it feel to be in Texas Stadium. I am a huge Cowboys fan and am goin to my first game this thanksgiving. I know it had to be great being inside that stadium with all the tradition.

Be sure to tell the young actors that they are doing a great job. Is there a more sympathetic set of youngsters on TV?? You just gotta love each and every one of them; they probably don't want to hear this, but they ARE the characters because they have made them so believable.

This is the first time I have ever posted on a site. I wanted NBC to see how your show can bring out this tyoe of fervor. I've done my best to get everyone I know to watch the show. I grew up in a small Texas town and I've never seen a show that gets it as right as yours. You're all amazing and I look forward to Wednesday nights. Connie, I enjoyed the movie Friday Night Lights and was so happy to see you in the role of Coach Taylor's wife in the series, too! How has it been to be able to expand that role? You've created a character who's a true role model for girls and women. Thank you for that!

even considering the incredible emotions of the game and the family events, my favorite part of this much anticipated finale tonight was when Landry's character insitsted on selfishly helping a helpless human being. i know i dont need to tell you guys this, but you are blessed to be part of such a special show. and you are the reasons why i love the characters so much...which is why i love the show so much. Coach, ive been saying this to Brett Farve for years now and he keeps blessing me and Packer NATION with one more year...so come on coach...ONE MORE YEAR!

I admit that I only started watching the show because of the hot coach....but quickly found that it is a wonderful show and now I'm hooked. They did a great job with casting. Who knew a show about a high school football team in west Texas could have so much to say. I hate to gush, but it is the best slice of Americana on TV in a long time.

The characters are so richly developed...even the smaller characters like Smashes's mom have a story to tell and a message to send.

Kyle and Connie..your relationship on the show is amazing...a great chemistry. It is fun to watch how you parent, coach football, and deal with whatever life throws your way.

It's one of the best shows I've ever seen. Kyle Chandler could coach me in football anytime with his convincing performance. Connie Britton is one of the most beautiful women on television and I wish my high school coach's wife looked like her. I hope this is not just a one year series and that there is more to come next season. Is that in the works? Does Coach Taylor stay at Dillon or leave for TMU? Until I watched King Kong again the other day, I did not realize that Kyle Chandler played Bruce Baxter. I thought that was interesting. Keep up the great work both of you. I am an 11 y/o running back with 19 touchdowns this season. I am a a proud Christian and proud to be a part of a team that is so supportive. Football is a sport where you truly play as a team and become a famiy. I cried at the end of the season and cry at the end of each show. Connie, you remind me of my mom, anf Mr. Kyle, you are great, I watch this show with my mom dad and sister and we do not miss an episode! I love it

I lived in Waco for awhile. I am from Indiana. I know what it is like to have a "State Sport". I think ALL of the cast do a great job showing it. I am surprised that drinking is highlighted among the students but there is NO smoking or dipping. That seemed pretty common to me when I have been there. Why is that not in the show? (Kyle - have enjoyed you since Tour of Duty - there's some memories. Only show I think I have ever seen you smoking.)

I love this show. It is such a great example of television at it's best. I am a 42 yr old mother of two who gave up Red Sox tickets to watch the finale. The relationship between Coach and his wife is so great, real, and honest.

I just wanted to say that I loved the series. As a highschooler, I can kinda connect with the players feelings and stuff..

Just wondering, how do you feel about high school football personally? Is it too hyped up? Also, how do you feel about marching bands? lol, but anyway, being section leader of the drumline I get to see all my teams games.

Stay in Dillon Coach.. My wife thinks I'm nuts when I talk about Coach Taylor and the kids when referring to things in real life.. This season has been exceptional television... Now, Mrs. Taylor let coach make up his mind.. LOL.. STAY IN DILLON!!!

What an amazing end to the season. I literally had chills through the last half of the show and my stomach was in knots as Coach T drove back to the locker room. Outstanding performances on both your parts.
