I grew up in a small Texas town back in the 70's. This show brings back such warm feelings and memories. I thought I was the only person watching. I'm glad to see the show is so well accepted by so many. I love all the characters. They all have real life characteristics. I hope this show will be around for many, many more seasons.

I want to thank you both for keeping it real. My son is 15 and plays football. He grew up in Texas and we now live in Iowa. He lives, eats and breathes football and baseball. I hope this show is around for a long time. It helps us as parents relate to maybe a little of what are kids are going thru and the pressures they have. thank you again and keep up the great story line!

I have watched the entire season and was impressed the way that the show and characters grew as they went. The show is well cast and extremely well written. Best job of covering important/difficult themes and coming up with good/realistic endings that I have seen in a long time. Looking forward to next season. A demographic note - I am a 60 year old sports fan who has grandkids in sports!!!

My family loves your show. It reminds me so much of the town I live in. We have a great high school and football team also. More importantly, the actors on this show do such a great job of portraying the characters in such a down-to-earth believable way. I hope the show continues for many seasons.

Yes, I love the show. I don't have any other show I actually try to be home to watch. And being a member of the Bronco Nation (a Boise State alumni who attended the Fiesta Bowl), imagine my surprise when the Panthers won state by an 18-yard hook and lateral. Now that's class!

Please don't cancel the best-written, best acted show on TV. If this show were on HBO (with no language restrictions) it would be getting the press to match its critical acclaim. My husband and I have 3 kids 16-21 and this show speaks to our lives and concerns with humor and without preaching. It even keeps me from The Daily Show and Colbert on Wednesday nights!

Oh, my gosh!!! What a super episode..would simply give up my faith in NBC if this superior show gets cancelled..please....we definitely need another season....thanks (with all my heart) in advance!!!!

I thought this show was great! I don't watch much tv, so FNL was a refreshing change from the reality series, all the CSIs and other police/murder shows!Having lived in Texas in the past I quickly learned football isn't just a sport--- it's a way of life. FNL rekindled the excitement of what Friday Night Lights is all about in football loving Texas! Looking forward to the second season, and the third, and the fourth!

My husband and I absolutely love everything and every character on this show. Please tell us you will be back next year. The interaction between characters and the very realistic dialogue are fantastic. As former teachers, we love seeing the interactions and humanity of all the characters. Kudos to the Coach and Counselor. If only all relationships could be as meaningful as that of your two characters. Super job. We want another season ...and another...and another. Kyle, a question for you. Did you ever have any football experience yourself, such as high school. I know your job is as an actor, but you play a fanstastic role as a head football coach with your actions and mannerisms like you had been around the game before.

Great,absolutely incredible,was hooked from day one,can't get enough, please don't EVEN think about not continuing the show NBC. When will we know if and when the next season will start? 41 year old male that loves the show.

Mr. Chandler and Ms. Britton,
the way the two of you portray a married couple shows that marriage between two people who respect each other and who are deeply in love can be an exciting teamwork. Is this the result of the writer's viewpoint or do the two of you contribute ideas to enhance this portrayal as well? The whole theme of teamwork with honesty and hardwork is illustrated in the not only in this marriage but in the football team and the community as well. Thank you for showing the values that make America great. Will there be another season? Adults and children alike benefit from this show as well as being thoroughly entertained by your excellent acting, the marvelous camera shots, and the wonderful music. Thank you, NBC...but please more seasons of this remarkable drama.

Thank you to NBC for bringing to us the best TV show of this year in Friday Night Lights. Whoever was responsible for casting did an excellent job. The chemistry between all the characters always appeared very real. I have not missed a show all season and have told many about just how great you all are. FNL's writers deserve an award for their outstanding writing and the very realistic and understanding way they have handled so many challenging issues, especially the injury and reabilitation of the quarterback with a spinal cord injury. Were you both taken by surprise by the addition of a pregnancy to the storyline during the last show? Kyle, the depth protrayed in your reaction when you learned the news brought tears to my eyes. Next years season can't come any too soon. NBC - Please bring us season 2.

Friday Night Lights is one of my favorite shows. I am so tired of hearing rumors of the show being cancelled. You are going to be with us next year, right???

I just wanted to let you know that there are only two shows that I watch religiously and this show is the ONLY one I have never missed. I am SO glad that you have a show that is so REAL. I feel like I know you from watching every week. I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!!!!!

No way did I think FNL would make it...It's the best show on TV. As a "baby-boomer" and former teacher and coach, I have to say that chemisty between the coach and his wife is amazing. What a great job NBC! And that Tim Riggins needs to have just a bit more of a part. He's awesome as an actor and after reading his interview, I can see why people on the cast like him so much. He's the kind of guy any guy or gal would love to have as a good friend.

Congratulations on the best TV show I have seen in a long time. As a high school teacher/coach (not football but cross country and trach), husband and father of a daughter in a small town in New Mexico for 25 years your great cast of actors and scripts have captured the essence of small town America. You have done this by focusing on great dialogue and the importance of people caring for each other. I must say that (Kyle) as the coach and Connie as his wife (teacher/counselor) have captured this role from the my perspective and experiences as a coach. I do not watch television, except for sports. You can have all the Idols and Dancing With Stars and mind numbing programs, but I am definetly hooked on FNL. I read the book when it was first published, saw the movie and really did not think that a TV series would measeure up. I was way wrong. Hopefully NBC will do the right thing and renew this program.

FNL is a great show. It has one of the best cast I have ever seen. ( I'm 64 years old)I would like to have played for a coach like Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) in high school and college.The show demonstrates good family values. PLEASE BRING FNL BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON. THIS SHOW HAS CHARACTER.

This show is incrediable. I perfer it to any other show on t.v. I even watch it on wed night instead of the idol results. I am a mom of two young boys and the wife of a division 1 college baseball team, and I am a social worker so I see alot of myself and marriage and life in FNL. For me the hardest part of being a coach's wife is seeing the disappointment in the faces of the players and their parents. This show seems so true to real life. Who cant relate to the kid struggling to be his age while taking care of his grandmother with alzhimers and his father being away in the war. Or the black kid struggling in a southern white community, or the black mom trying to make ends meet and raising her kids right whent he odds are against her. The young girl who uses sex to get ahead because that is all that she has seen in her own family from her mom, or the girl who is pretty and popular and seems to have it all but struggles just like the girl who doesnt have it all. The daughter of the coach who just wants to find happiness, the largest businees owner in town that uses his money to get his way but in the end his decisions cost him dearly and teach him a lesson that his money cant. This show has characters that every person in this world can relate to. Please bring back this show. Surely if a show as stupid as Seinfield that had no plot or storyline can run as long as it did this show can be brought back for another season. I am 30 years old and my favorite show has always been "THE WALTONS" but this show has replaced that and it has taken many years of t.v and shows to do that but this show has. Please bring back FNL and dont change anything!

Kyle, what was that you picked off the other coach's shirt at the stadium in "Mudbowl?" You looked like you were holding back laughter! I love it that that scene and Connie & the cow scene was aired and not "perfect" ones. You two have such great chemistry & are so believable as a couple. Thanks & keep up the good work!

This is the best show on television. We sit as a family (my husband, 15yr.old son and 18yr.old daughter and my self) and watch the show every week. We miss our family time when it is not on. It has to come on for a second season!!!! This show brings families back together!

I'm neither into football nor small town life, yet I ADORE FNL! This is iconic American television at its very best. Full hearts indeed! Any show that can bring together such a wide viewer demographic has got to be a keeper.

My husband works for Under Armour and we were wondering how you like all of the Under Armour on the show (Kyle they just came out w/ Sunglasses and he's going to make sure you get a pair for next season).

I love everything about this show. I wait for Wednesdays and when 8:00 comes I am always disappointed and it leaves me wanting more. The story lines are great, the actors are great, I can't think of anything negative to say about this show. If NBC does not bring it back for a 2nd season, they are making a big mistake. I watch very little TV but would never miss an episode of FNL. They did a great job of picking this cast, hopefully they do a great job of bringing it back in the fall. Thanks for bringing something worthwhile to weekly TV.

I grew up in Katy Texas best known for their Texas Class 5a football team, the Katy Tigers, how did it feel filming scenes for the state championship episode. As for us we have 4 state championships and is looking forward to bringing it home this year. Could you as an actor playing Coach Taylor, what kind of advice could you give our boys if you were coaching them. Look forward to Season 2 of Friday Night Lights. My prediction, Coach Taylor doesn't take the TMU job.

I love this show. Please let there be a season two.. I have been a Kyle Chandler fan even before Early Edition. My sister-in-law{Kimberly Morrow} was a teacher at Lincoln Park Prep when Sydney was there also with my nephew Jett Morrow. I still have pictures with Sydney and Jett from school functions. Please let me know WHO at NBC we need to contact repeatedly to get to a 2nd season.

The first time I saw Kyle Chandler he stared in Early Edition. He was great in that too. I always wondered why Kyle wasn't in anymore TV shows. I LOVE Friday Night Lights, Super Special. All of the people that were in the show were really fit there parts. I lved them all. If this is all there is, would you please put the whole show on DVD, Please!

I am a married, mother of 3 little girls and I am addicted to this show! I especially love how your marriage is portrayed-so real, yet ideal. And especially how you deal with your daughter and the other high school kids. I feel I have learned something about how to relate to my children! Do either of you have children? And did that have an effect on your acting in those scenes?

Also in light of the Imus debacle, I was ready to write off NBC. and i love NBC and MSNBC. If they do not renew FNL .. I won't be watching tv at all !! Except for the Discovery Channel .

If they don't fire the creep IMUS and bring back FNL .. I will not watch tv nor buy any product that promotes NBC.

Since the only thing tv promotes is drugs and fake food and I don't do either . NBC will be down the tubes.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOW and the chemistry between the two of your is awesome. It's as if you're not really acting but allowing us to view a chapter in your lives. The character studies are brilliant...it's so much more than football. I have been a fan of Mr. Chandler's since HOMECOMING. EARLY EDITION and that quirky comedy w/Joan Cusack. And you were wonderfully enjoyable in King Kong and your roles on Grey's Anatomy...FANTASTIC! Please tell me that this show will be back for many moons. In my opinion, Coach Taylor is the most intriguing character on the show. I would like to see a story-arc in which he moves to Austin after accepting the job at TMU(I assume this is a fictional college). This would be the more real life decision.

You 2 are great. The show is family oriented and it's about real families with real problems. It's about time there is quality programming. The country needs more shows like this one. It's the best program on TV at this time and it's the best one that's been on for a long time. There has to be a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th season. I watched the movie Friday Night Lights a couple of weeks ago and the movie ended with the Odessa team not winning by less than a footballs length and when I saw Smash running I thought this season was going to end the same way. How was the decision made for Dillon to win it at state versus coming up short?

You are both the main reason I watch this show. You have amazing chemistry and I love seeing how Eric and Tami relate to one another and to their daughter. I was so happy tonight to see the two of you during the scene where Tami told Eric she was pregnant. It was an amazing scene and you both did a fabulous job...just as you've both done all season.

This show shows pure Inspiration to me as a football player, as well as other sports. My high school has 12 State Championships and watching this show just gets motivation through me as we will fight for number 13 this year. Go HILLMEN!

My husband and I watch every week. We totally love the show and all of the characters. There has to be a 2nd season! One of the BEST shows ever! Who says the ratings are low? All of our friends watch. Please, all of the characters must return next year. The show takes me back to my high school days-many,many years ago! For that hour, I do not think about any of the present day worries, but cheer for the team and the people as if they were right next door. We are huge football fans, mostly for our University of SC Gamecocks, but actually feel we are watching a real team playing. Please return this show, and the people!

I am huge fans of the show and of your work. I think the show is awesome. It's a great show! I moved from Dallas to a small town, where football is everything. This show helps how a football team and game is much more than a simple sport. It is an event that brings a community together. By the way, I watch reruns of both Spin City and Homefront.I love them both. Homefront is my favorite TV show. My mom let stay up late when I was nine to watch it when it was on. The theme song is my cell phone ringer. The point is, I found it recently on reruns. I would love to know if there is any way to get the series on DVD or VHS. It airs every Sunday night. This past week Jeff married Ginger.

im a new yorker..love football...nd love seeing how the show displays the true passion of a whole state in love with sport..Up here in NY there are soo many people who love soo many different sports, that sometimes you wish you knew what it was like to be in a place where the intensity of a sport you love is shared by everyone alse around you.. I am huge fans of the show and of your work. I think the show is awesome. It's a great show! I moved from Dallas to a small town, where football is everything. This show helps how a football team and game is much more than a simple sport. It is an event that brings a community together. By the way, I watch reruns of both Spin City and Homefront.I love them both. Homefront is my favorite TV show. My mom let stay up late when I was nine to watch it when it was on. The theme song is my cell phone ringer. The point is, I found it recently on reruns. I would love to know if there is any way to get the series on DVD or VHS. It airs every Sunday night. This past week Jeff married Ginger.

As someone in federal law enforcement, I find myself dealing with a lot of the family issues, traveling issues (moving), life decision making processes that your fictional family portrays so very well. I don't think either of you could portray either of these two characters any better and you do so with a very high moral standard which is very absent in todays tv. Thank you for what you do.

I'm a high school senior and I just want to say I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!! I am a faithful follower of Matt, Julie, Smash, Tim, Lyla, Tyra and the rest of the gang. The story is so true to high school life and the events in the show really do happen in high schools around the country. Peter Berg is nothing short of brilliant. He brings something so smart to NBC that I have become addicted. The delivery is raw and immediate. Connie, you create a belivable character for those of us who live the life. I live in Knoxville. TN where football is a way of life, and Kyle...how can I put this...you are every football mom's wet dream.

What a great cliffhanger for next season. Notice I said next season, NBC simply has to bring back FNL. As for my Question. how different is it to shoot the show on location as opposed to a soundstage

Kyle, watched and fell in love with you on Early Edition with my then middle school aged daughter who is now a sophomore in college! Tonights finale was great. FNL is the only show....along with The Office I have to watch every week. Keep up the great work and looking forward to season two.

You both are such wonderful actors, so my question for you as an acting student is, in your acting on film, do you use a technique? Connie, I read that you studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse studying Meiser technique, but do you still use that technique on film or have you resorted to something else? I would love to know, because I really admire you as an actor and I think you are one of the most honest actresses on television. Again, congrats and I can't wait until next season!

I think FNL is a great show. It is well acted and filmed beautifully. It is not only 'the football show' it is much more than that. I read that six more scripts have been ordered by NBC so you will be back for a new season. Do you think the marketing of the show will be changed so it can attract more viewers not just football fans? What do you think can be done differently to save the show?

My wife and I are also expecting, due in June. We are deciding names and are stuck between Smash and Riggins. Any advice?

One of the best shows on television now (or ever for that matter) and I have logged more tv watching hours than I care to try and add up! The acting is unbelievable from every single character. The raw emotion and delivery get me so engrossed that I fully expect to walk outside of my house and be in Dillon and run into some of the characters from the show. I get completely lost in the show every week. I have been a huge fan of Kyle's since Homefront and I loved Connie on Spin City. All of the newcomers are fantastic and have bright futures ahead of them. Let's just hope their future is with FNL!

I love the show please tell me there is a season two on the way. I love the relationship between the coach and his wife, my fiance is going to be a football coach so I kind of get a glimpse into that world through your show, of course I know it will be much harder. Wow!!! All I can say is what an unreal finale. I was screaming, cheering and crying all at the same time when State was won. No show in my 36 years has EVER made me do that! There just has to be a full 2nd season. How does it feel to have such a faithful and loyal following. The relationships on this show are so believeable. I just wanted to tell you both that your work is 2nd to none! Can't wait to see how next season (please, please, please) starts out! Clear minds full hearts.CAN'T LOSE. I love that !! and I love this show. Reminds me of my old high school.. The name began with a P so every time I see someone slap that P it takes me back. We were actually were the greyhounds. But they had a P on their helmuts.

I absolutely love this show....there isn't another heartfelt, family show on tv these days and it is exactly what we need. With reality shows filling the kids heads with fantasy -- it's good to see a good, wholesome show that has strong family values. I hope that NBC keeps you around for years to come. I have to say that this is the FIRST show ever prompting me to write a Blog. It is truly amazing and admire you, connie and kyle for all your hard work. It surely shows. Thank you for putting all of your heart and soul in such a warm show that promotes family first.

I have a 10 year old son that plays youth football in Florida and they almost won the state championship this past year. I help coach the team. He still watches alot of kids shows but this is the one that we watch together as Father & son in the bedroom when my wife and other 2 sons watch those reality shows in the living room. We really enjoy watching this together and I feel it has been a great time bonding and talking with my son about football and all the other good and bad storylines that went on. Please come back for another season.

My wife is from Grand Prairie Texas and loves your show, it reminds her of home(we live in North Carolina now). I hope they decide to keep the show on, I would love to see where the writers take this story next. I think the cast and the writing are under rated and just need a chance to grow more as they will next year. I'm tired of losing good shows after one year just because not everyone caught on right away.

Great Chemistry between you two - love the show a lot. Question for you Kyle, when you auditioned for the part of coach Taylor - did you emulate Billy Bob's performance or was that part of your prep? FNL is the best show on television! the only thing anywhere close is Heroes (which is awesome).. nothing gets my attention more then this show. its one of four shows that i feel are actually worth watching. I pray this show comes back next season, and dont pull any punches with the drama, its amazing guys. love it to death.

Excellent show overall. Kyle and Connie are great. Some of the show is sort of predictable at times, but I still like it overall. I just wish that the QB's had better looking throwing mechanics though. Gilford is a decent actor, but his throwing motion sucks. I hope that there is a 2nd season and NBC doesn't pull the plug on a great show, like they have in the past.

Hi - I was listening to an interview Peter Berg gave on NPR's Fresh Air today and he was talking about how the show is shot fast, without strict scripts and sometimes with actors tripping over each other and wondered if this is fun, liberating, frustrating, interesting etc. Also, wanted to say that I have been a fan of Connie Britton's since she was on Bruno's team on the West Wing, another fabulous television program. Lastly, Peter Berg mentioned that one reason FNL hasn't done spectacularly in the ratings is that it might not appeal to women viewers and I know that once anyone gave the show a shot, they would find something about it to keep them coming back!

We are very busy people and rarely watch television and have rarely gotten hooked on a program but we really love this show and will be really mad at NBC if they do not bring it back next year. I really hope you all know how you have touched many of your fans. The show is moral, deep, and so true to American society. The script for this show is absolutely superb, and so deserving of a second season. I am 25 years old and I have been attached to only one other show in my life and that was "Tour of Duty" when I was just a young boy. I have never missed a FNL episode and will never. I hope NBC releases the series on DVD set as well. Thanks again you guys for bringing such a heart felt picture to our eyes.. Hope to see you both in Season 2.

As a mom, and athletic dirctor at a local school, I want to tell you how realistic the story line is for the show. I watch each episode at least two times. I feel in love with the show right from the start. I always miss something the first time around. The camera angles are unique and this show deserves a 2nd season!

Question for you both - I find all the characters on FNL to have so much depth and substance. Do you share any personality traits with your on-screen personas? Do any of the actors contribute to the writing of the show?

Lastly, with so much talk in the media and in the online community about how FNL is so loved, but not watched, do you find it challenging to stay focused on your work and not worry about ratings, despite being in a vulnerable position?

Does NBC keep track of all the folks that watch FNL episodes via the internet. This is a new generation and we're all busy but I watch FNL via the internet when I can't be available for the 7:00pm timeframe. I'll bet there's a lot of us watching every episode from the net.

We love the show! I'm so glad it's on early enough for me (as a new mom).

I also would like to hear Connie's comments on the cow scene- I laughed out loud when the cow meandered her way!

Also, how did you prepare for the roles? Did you work with a voice coach for the twang or hang out with the locals (my husband and i are both from TX and appreciate the authenticity of the Texas twang)?

I'm 57 years old and have watched every episode since the beginning. I didn't start out watching, it was recommneded to me and I actually paid to watch the first episodes that I had missed. The characters are so real and their stories were my stories. I can relate even today to the trials and tribulations of growing up in high school, the sports, the relationships, the dreams, the hardships, what a great show. NBC really has no idea how good of show they have hear. I watch the on-line versions of the episodes also along with the interviews. This is the only show that has caught my attention for years and I will miss Wednesday evening watching FNL. You have all poured your hearts into this show and it is obvious to us watching. Just to let you know, we all love the show! I started watching it at the very beginning have been hooked ever since. I found out my good friend was watching from the beginning as well and also loved it.....now we tell 2 friends and they tell 2 friends and so on and so on....it has become a regular topic of conversation when we all meet!!!!

I heard some disturbing news??!!! Is it true that NBC is thinking of not renewing this outstanding program?!!! It would be awful if this was true. Let us know if there is any truth to this horrible rumor. If it is true, let us know where we can write in and start a protest...I know many many people who will jump on board to save this show! Your guys are great!!!!!

My daughter and I do NOT miss an episode; I even hate to delete it from my DVR because a day later, I am still connected to the story-line and the characters.

MY Family of 6 absolutely LOVE your show. I am wondering if you have any influence on the writing? I have 3 boys and 1 girl all active in sports (cheerleading and football included). They love following the storylines but are mad when I make them leave the room when their pretty graphic sex scenes and heavy drinking involved. Any way of influencing the writers to make it a little more kid friendly all the time? love you guys!!

We have 2 teenagers aged 17 and 16 and this is the first show in years that we all watch as a family. It is truly the best show on TV. The acting is brilliant. The writing is so realistic, this could be anyone's small town. I love these characters, flaws and all.

Your show is my absolute favorite on TV. I would not even miss it on our recent vacation to Disney World. Connie, your advice to your onscreen daughter about sex was perfect. Just want to tell you that this is one of the BEST shows on TV for teens. I'm the mother of a 15 year old girl--she's been watching from the start and I started watching in February. I'm totally hooked, as she is. Keep up the good work. Love the entire cast--very talented.

First of all, I am relieved to hear that NBC has asked for 6 more scripts. Hopefully, they will realize what a great show FNL is. Second, I wanted to ask you a question about your on-screen relationship. Obviously, you two are an extremely believable couple on screen who have dealt with so many genuine topics that all couples go through. My question to you is, how much of your off-screen relationships carry over when you are playing husband and wife on FNL? Are we watching a snapshot of your real lives, or is it that you are just that good of actors?

I first off want to start out by telling you both, what a great! run and time it has been watching Friday Night Lights!

I myself am a hockey person, play, live, breath it, and since playoffs is right around the corner, the state I live in, is going hockey crazy here in Michigan, but somthing about this show, caught my interest and is holding on tight! and I am VERY happy, I love this show dearly.

I just wanted to thank you both and tell you both, how great it has been watching the two of you in FNL, you two portray a married couple extremly well.

My question is, I heard nbc has ordered 6 new scripts, so that tells me there will be a season 2, in the continued success of FNL, what's the secret between you two, with the portraying of a married couple? As most I'm sure would think you two, to be married in real life, with how comfortable you both seem around each other.

I watch Friday Nights every night on NBC and then afterward i always call my grandma who also watches. I love football, but never really understood it, but now i can finally watch a game live, on tv, or on the show and scream and cheer when they did something good and then boo when the ref makes a bad call... My two daughters both are football cheerleaders. So...I am sure you can see how this is our favorite show. It's the one night where we all actually sit and watch a program together. Kyle, my wife has been a big fan of yours ever since Pure Country (even though you played the bad guy!). We are both law students at the University of Texas. We are both from Oklahoma, but we came to Austin to start law school the same month that FNL went on the air. I don't normally watch TV (we don't even have cable), but I'm hooked on Friday Night Lights. I think it is an excellent show and I constantly urge my friends and family to watch.

I believe that the show has a perfect mix of rural/Christian morals, small-town affection, great acting & filming, and a dose of how mixed up and crazy the real world can be.

NBC are fools if they don't bring it back for many more seasons in the future.

Austin loves you guys! If you stick around I'm going to have to track down the show & become an extra somehow, someway. Is that possible???

Question for both: The actors on this show have such amazing chemistry that I have to ask -- Did y'all audition with each other before the final decision as to the cast was made? The two of you are both established names but the younger actors are not. Julie, for example, has such terrific chemistry with the both of her parents and then individually with each of Coach and Tami so the father/daughter and mother/daughter relationships are also nicely fleshed out as these separate relationships. Did Aimee Teegarden have to audition with each of you before she was cast for the part? How about Aimee and Zach Gilford? They are so cute together! Zach and Landry? They are so natural together as best friends. (I could go on but I'll stop.)

Question for Kyle: You may not know this but your Hair has a large following on the internet. You have the most emotive Hair of any actor I know. It can express happiness, anger, betrayal and can even foreshadow. The fans of your Hair get quite disappointed when you wear that baseball cap. Do they do anything special to your Hair before each scene to make sure it expresses just the right kind of emotion? Are there lines written into the script telling your Hair what feelings it ought to emote? (Connie, by the way, your hair is also very beautiful and has its many fans. It's just that Kyle's Hairis beautiful as well as super talented.)

All kidding aside, you both deserve Emmys for such a realistic portrayal of a happy, trusting and equal marriage.

This show is seriously THE best show on television right now. PLEASE come back with season 2. :)

FNL is by far the best show on TV....I've been trying to convert my friends to becoming loyal followers. I hope NBC doesn't make the mistake of not renewing its contract. I adore the relationship between Kyle & Connie. This show is just filled with fantastic actors and wonderful characters. The writing & directing is phenomenal...It is, hands down, a fantastic show and every person who is affiliated with it should be extremely proud of their accomplishments. I'm a 21 year old college student, this show ranks right up there with the likes of the Sopranos and Entourage. The writing is excellent and all the characters mesh like crazy. If they cancel, I think it's obvious NBC doesn't like ratings!!

My husband and I never miss Friday Night Lights. We have never been the "loyal fan" types but this show is excellent. We heard today that it may not continue next season. It's hard to believe that the reality shows stay on air when a quailty show like this may be cancelled!!!!!!!!

Hello Kyle and Connie!! I cannot even begun to tell you just how much I absolutely love this show and hope that it will come back for another season. Everything about the show is wonderful. All the young actors are dong such a great job not like the other shows with teenagers in it who can barely act. This show is so amazing and look forward to it every single week.

I'm a theater major and none of us seem to recall any television show with such consistent intense choices that need to be made, both in writing and in acting. With such demanding storylines and what we imagine to be a moving target when it comes to storyline - how do you rehearse? And have there been any particular scenes that given a second chance, you would now approach differently?

I just want to say that this is the best show that I have ever seen. All of my friends and family love it too and we call each other during the commercials to cry and guess what is going to happen next. The characters are so real and so well acted. Please tell me we get another season!!!

I am 20 years old and my husband and I watch this show every week. This is our favorite show out of all of the shows we watch. When we watch the show I can feel the emotions. This show to me is more like a reality show and not some written script acted out in front of a camera. Connie and Kyle are great, the love and passion they have on the show for each other just feels so real. I think so many people like Friday Night lights because the show in general feels so real. I hope NBC never cancels Friday Night Lights.

I love the interaction between Kyle and Connie as a couple on the show. I know Kyle is married and wondered if he is being the person he is at home with his wife. Connie, you portray a very concerned and convincing Mom. I saw the interview on NBC's Today Show and was really interested in the fact that you don't rehearse-you just go in and do the script. I really believe that makes the entire show more convincing. All of the teens are great to watch. Anyone who has a teenager should sit and watch this show with them. FNL isn't just about football-it is about teenagers, families, and the trials and tribulations we all go through. We watch as a family each week and always look forward to the next episode.

I'm a complete tv addict, and this show is my crack. Nothing else on tv even comes close to it in terms of acting, writing, directing, music, editing, everything. This is the most consistently excellent show I've ever seen, and what tv as a whole should aspire to be.

That said, a lot of the people here have been commenting on the chemistry between Kyle and Connie. Was that immediate - did you two just click - or did you have to work on it or get to know each other? What are the relationships like on set?

Awesome Show - I too am 38, female and just love it.

What are your hours like shooting? 5 days a week 12 hour days? less? more?Explain to us - What is a "typical day"? Keep up the great work - and keep FNL going!

We love this show, but the CAMERA CREW IS DRUNK AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. Am I the only one that ends up nauseous after an hour? Yes, I get that it's suppose to be an effect but get real, I have better control of my head and don't fling it about when listening to someone talk or even when I'm speaking. This show and Medium drive me crazy with all the jumping around over the screen. Surely, the rest of you are bothered by this.

Frankly, I just tuned into the show at the beginning because of Kyle Chandler! I would watch him in just about anything! Keep all your Brad Pitts' and Tom Cruises', Kyle is the hottest guy on any screen!! Sure my Husband knows, and my kids keep changing my screen saver from the photo of Kyle, to "Dwight" from The Office. But I do keep changing it back! Hope the show lasts just for the view!!!

We love the show. We appreciate all aspects of the story. Our son plays football and our daughter was a cheerleader. But most importantly it covers what alot of kids deal with in high school. With this season coming to a close, how will Tim Riggins be part of the show when he cant be on the team?

I just wanted to personally thank the entire cast and crew on this project. I am not a tv watcher, I'm not a football fan, I'm not even fond of Texas, but this television show is captivating in every sense of the word. I am a 33 year-old single father of 2 young girls so I don't get alot of time for myself, but I find a way EVERY Wednsday to watch this program, and I hope I continue to do so for MANY years to come. This show defines the word entertainment, so again thank you to each and everyone that makes this possible and PLEASE keep it on at 8:00 Eastern time and for years to come!

Whoever did the casting for FNL was genius! The chemistry between the two of you has been so real, and the relationships you have with all the fantastic kids are equally admirable. My husband and I are grandparents, our kids love the show, and so do our grandchildren. This has been the most refreshing and wonderful television this year. I never lived in Texas, and I'm not much of a football fan, but I adore the program. My husband says he's already depressed that the season is almost over. How has it been leaving your homes and living in Texas such a great part of the year? Kyle...we remember Homefront and Morning Edition, but this is your role of a lifetime.

This is far and away the best show on TV. The acting is amazing from such young actors. The dialog and the relationships are very well done. I hope to see much more next season !!!

I've been hooked since the beginning. This show is unlike any other - it's so real and human and I am so MOVED, SO many times during the show. It makes me laugh and cry and just FEEL and I hope to G-d it is back next year. QUESTION FOR KYLE: Did you have any trouble with your character not telling on Smash when his steroid usage was uncovered?

This is absolutely the best show on television. It sorts through many generations and confronts reality. Please let us have many more seasons... One more quiz show and I'll go nuts and/or turn the set off. Thank you for treating the watchers as adults with minds and thoughts.

This show is amazing. Thank you so much for playing such a realistic tv couple whose relationship is not falling apart. This show has been amazing to watch. I have thoroughly enjoyed every episode and it has never let me down.
What has been each of your favorite storyline so far? and I understand that many of the lines are not scripted and there are no rehearsals for a scene, so how do you prepare for a scene? do you all sit down and talk about how it's going to go or just wing it?

Is there going to be a 2nd season? I LOVE this show. This is the only show I keep up with.

How much of the dialog is by the actors, not scripted? Do they give a framework to follow and then you ad lib the rest? The dialog is so real and it seems to catch other characters off-guard sometimes. Thanks!

All - I love this show. I live in the New England area and I wish our community was as tight as the show and as it appears the Southern area. I think this is great and makes me want to move to a close nit community. I'm in my 30's and this show has values beyong any show I have viewed in a long time. My oldest daughter is a Varsity Cheerleader and my youngest is a Jr High cheerleader. Last year our team won state. We love this show! I think every parent should watch because you guys really do tackle the everyday problems these kids face. Please don't let the show get cancelled!!!

We love this show at our house. We record it each week and watch last weeks just before the new one plays. We admire the integrity you bring to the show as Coach and Guidence Councelor. The entire cast brings such reality to the characters they play. It is worth bringing back for many years. We will miss you, so hurry back.

This question is for Kyle--During the episode Mud Bowl, there was the scene in the fancy stadium when you were talking to the other coach. During the course of the conversation, you reached over and pulled something off the other actor and flung it away. What the heck was that? A bug? Left over lunch? What?

My co-workers and I love your show! Once the morning after the show hits, we have to devote a portion of it discussing the events that took place. We even bought an autographed picture of Kyle because one co-worker has been in LOVE with you since the beginning of your career!

We all just want the show to continue on because it gives us a real look at a 'normal' family that goes through normal problems...I'm 23 and it reminds me what high school was ALL about...please stay!!!

Cancellation of FNL by NBC would be as poor a business decision that a network could ever make. There isn't a show on network tv that offers the reality of every-day life on a consistent program schedule. Hope to see you next season.

My husband and I watch your show religiously every week. I love how the show tackles everyday issues such as family values, friendships, loyalty, and honor as well as spotlighting serious topics such as rape, infidelity, and mental disabilities. I am really enjoying the metamorphosis of Tyra Collette. I pray that she and Landry become closer as a result of her recent attempted rape. I think they would make a great couple. Thanks for providing us with hours of quality entertainment.

My husband & I love this show, and being the parents of a 3-year old, it is one of the few that we make the effort to DVR and watch after stories and bedtime for our little one! We really relate to Eric and Tami in many ways: I am a 3rd grade teacher, my husband is a guidance counselor/b-ball coach, and we were both raised in smaller towns. Although we adore both of you, this particular question is for Kyle: When you were filming the scene with Connie about Eric possibly going to Austin and leaving Tami & Julie behind, how challenging was that for you, knowing that you had spent the past several months separated from your own family while filming FNL in Texas?

I am the mother of two highschool football players, and we have about 6 starting varsity players to our home every Wednesday night to watch the show. If we miss, I have to tape it and reschedule the night. Of course I make pop corn and the works. This is one of the best shows I have seen on TV. You are on the money with what these kids are going through. I pray you continue to produce such quality TV for our children, and me too!

i am a huge fan of this show! The second i saw the first episode i was hooked! You both are amazing actors and i would be dissapointed if there wasnt a second or even third season. I have heard a rumor, and I pray it is unfounded, that the show is not coming back. If that is the case, what can devoted fans, like myself, do to be heard? This is hands-down the best show on television!! FNL is a breath of fresh air in the stale world of T.V.!!

I'm from Delaware and wondering- does the cast get on the NBC site and read all the comments people post about the show? I personally love the show and find it very true to life. Some people seem to think it's not true to life, but believe me it is!

I loved both of you guys in your previous shows, (Spin City and Early Edition) and I am so glad you are both in a new show that is so much fun to watch! My mom, my husband, and I are addicted. I am glad to see there is a show that has parents who are involved in their childs life. So many shows now portray parents more as 'friends' and less as authority figures in their teens life.

One of the best scenes in this show is the one in which Smash and Coach Taylor are playing football with the kids in Smash's neighborhood. My question is for Kyle: was the little girl that you swung around your real-life daughter?

Friday Night Lights is the greatest thing on TV right now and y'all are absolute perfection. I've been trying to get the word out to everyone I know about the show. Is there a plan to put Season 1 out on DVD sometime soon? With a gag reel? I've seen the behind-the-scenes footage from the Today show, so I know that hilarity ensues around y'all.

i have to say this is the absolute best show on television. it brings back great memories of when i played (even though my team went 1-9). great show, great actors.

I love the show and think everyone who is involved in it does a wonderful job. My question is, has there ever been any talk about Coach's and Tami's backstory? What is their history? There have been a few little hints and I'm hoping that in season two (and I'm confident that there HAS to be a season two) that we will learn a little bit more about Eric and Tami.

As soon as the credits rolled on this last show I wanted to talk to someone about it, especially Connie's character! So well-written a character; she supports her husband as he revels in self-importance, without giving an inch in her determination to see these troubled teens through their crises. When she said she wasn't going with him to Austin, I was so impressed!

What I would like to know is the moving situation that the Taylors have been in. It seemed like the family has moved from town to town, but Coach knew Jason since he was little and also knew Buddy. Did the family ever live in Dillon before or was this their first time living here?

You both have mentioned how working on this show is like the first day of rehearsal for a play. Do either of you plan to head back to the theater at some point? Possibly during a hiatus?

You have freedom to play with the scripts a bit (your writers ROCK too!). Will you tell us about a scene that might have evolved in rehearsals from what was on the written page between your characters? There's fun talk on the boards about the cow pasture scene in "Mud Bowl" where Tami giggles and moves away from an approaching cow. It looks so natural and yet I wonder if that was really Connie moving away from the cow... Thanks for an awesome season y'all.

Best show on TV. What's the backstory for your couple? College sweethearts? How much improvising can the cast do? Peter Berg has vision. How involved is he with FNL beyond Exec. Prod.? NBC needs to promote more, and give FNL a better (later)time slot. FANTASTIC ALL AROUND

This is the one show that needs to be renewed, everything about it, is outstanding, the acting, casting, story lines, it is captivating from beginning to end. Whoever the sponsors are, I'll buy their products.
This show is so well balanced, it is a joy to watch.

Just wanted to let you know how exceptionally terrific we think FNL's is. I am 57 and my daughter is 21 and we love the show. It appeals to all age groups. The acting, themes, directing, writing, characters, plots, photography are superb. Can't wait for Season 2!!!!!
How long does it take to shoot one episode? How many hours do you work/day?

I got one burning question for Kyle and Connie...Is this the last season of Friday Night Lights? I have heard rumors that it was cancelled after this first season. I hope it is just a rumor. I love watching FNL. I got my DVR set for every Wed. night to record FNL whether I'm home or not. I haven't missed one episode. I plan on buying the first season on DVD when it comes out. You guys make life fun by getting to watch your show. Please make at least 10 seasons...I need another DVD collection...lol!!!
