Goodbye and Thank You!!

Connie: I can't tell you how moved I have been by all of the fans and their incredible support. The fans, the critics, and really anyone who's come into contact with the show. I'm constantly so grateful, we all are. We're overwhelmed by it.

Kyle: I've never been part of such a great show! So many reviews say we're a great show, so I look at it like the little engine that could. We're just continuing to struggle a long and the second season, we're gonna do some damage and get some great ratings!! We're gonna kick some ass! We're gonna open a can of whoops ass on these folks, be prepared! We're just so excited to get a second chance, we're HUNGRY to make it work and make it even better. We're gonna have a great year!!

And one more note...thanks to you all and to the people at NBC for putting their faith in us...we can't thank them enough!

I don't know what Kyle is talking about, "I never been part of such a great show." Early Edition was a GREAT show. My favorite show on TV for four years. I still miss it and can't wait unitl it's on DVD (I'll buy every season). I haven't really had an opprotunity to sit down and watch a full episode of FNL, but I'm glad Kyle is back on TV.

Absolutely the best show on TV. I've been a Kyle Chandler fan since "Homefront," and have never been disappointed! Another great role! Connie and the rest of the cast are terrific, and really flesh out a great story line.

I love the way the show faces tough issues and finds enlightened, common sense approaches to resolving them!

We are really interested in seeing how you deal with departing seniors and brining in new characters. Keep up the great work!

Great show - I loved it. Glad to hear it will be back next year. I think your ratings would be much higher if you were not competing with American Idol.

Thank You, Thank You!!! My husband is a high school football coach and we never miss the show. Thank you for showing the highs, the lows, and all the drama that goes on in our household during football season. I especially enjoy the dynamic between Kyle and Connie. You both do a great job of showing the balancing act that is required in your marriage to support your marriage, his coaching responsibilities and the team. I am also a guidance counselor although not in the same school where my husband works. That would be too hard. We roared at the irony when coach made the comment early in the episodes that "guidance counselors are a nuisance." We watched the season finale and screamed and yelled like it was a real game. Thank You, Thank You to whoever decided to keep the season going!!

THRILLED that FNL will be back as it should be!! This show is the very best ever... Seems to get bad time slots and perhaps you could think about doing better. Kyle and Connie are wonderful, actually they all are. Good decision by NBC!!

I can't tell you how THRILLED I was to hear that FNL is going to be back for a second season. Like many other fans out there, I am 'hooked,lined and sinkered' on this wonderfully well acted and well scripted show. My husband says that high shcool football in Texas is like a 'reglion'unto its own, and grew up there so he ought to know. Way to go NBC and Thank You!!

Hey i love the show it is inspiring and i just love the show. this is the only show where everyone knows how to play their roles. this show really shows what high school football is about but yeah this is the only show i keep up with one day the had schdual me to work but i had to call in sick and i love the fact that we can watch it on the internet also ive cried, smiles, laughed and i believe i made all the motions there are i know there are guys who think that they are too macho i am macho but this show just sometimes gets to me. thanks for creating this show.

This is one of the greatest shows of all time! With all the junk on TV, this show is refreshingly inspiring for our young family. Well written, well acted, well produced, well filmed, etc. ...and to actually capture characters with solid morals on primetime tv - awesome! Football, Family, and Jesus followers in one show - yeah, greatest of all time!

Though I didn't grow up being the biggest football fan, I graduated from the one of the finest universities in the world and became enthralled into their spirit and love of football and the idea of the game as a metaphor for much of what life challenges us with. My family now sees that in your show. Thank you for illustrating the vivid realities of young adulthood and the important lessons of family to your viewers. Your show is so engaging! I am so happy that their will be a 2nd Season.FNL is one of those shows that come along every 3 to 5 yrs.that grabs you and pulls you in.It portrays real life in the real USA!!! To Kyle:Please have the writers to have your character "Coach Taylor" not to leave the Dillard Panthers until you can get "Jason Street" more established in A coaches position on the team, and then i think it would more easier for you to go "TMU". I had just about given up on tv completely until I came across Friday Night Lights - which I've watched in its entirety off the internet last week. Its just incredible - I'm so impressed. I don't even like football! I can't wait for the second season. Thank you!

I would agree completely with everything that has already been said; this show is awesome. It is the only show I have ever watched on TV that I have invested my emotions and got so into. It is like watching a blockbuster movie every time I watch an episode. I really hope everyone comes back and that there is a second season.

For once there is a show that gets it right. No tricks and gimmicks. Just a story that EVERYONE can relate to. Brings back alot of memories from the High School days. Best show on TV period.

Just wanted to let Connie & Kyle know that I think this is the best show on television. Growing up in Texas and now living in Chicago, every episode brings me to tears. That scene walking into Texas Stadium really brought me back...(way to go PLANO `87!)

BEST tv show by far! In the world of reality tv, none of them compares to "Friday Night Lights". It's as real as it gets (dealing with real life issues). Friday Night Lights is by far the best show on TV right now. The characters and relationships are so intriging, the acting is outstanding, and it really portrays family and important life lessons in a realistic way. I love this show! A few weeks ago I invited friends over to watch FNL with me, so now they are "hooked" too! And last week, sitting on the sidelines of my son's recent lacrosse game (and yes, he plays high school football, too) I learned of many other parents who also LOVE the show! The momentum for the show is growing and I will do my personal best to gain as many fans of FNL as possible.

I don't spend a lot time in front of the TV, in fact I watch the limited amount of programming that I do enjoy via the Web and got rid of the TV months ago. I would have never thought I'd be so overwhelmed by a show initially appearing to be driven on a sports platform. There is so much more texture and richness to each character…so many touching and poignant scenes that are superbly acted by each and every cast member. It takes great writing to accomplish what you’ve done…and it takes wonderful skill as artists for you guys to convey and evolve all the nuances behind each character, which you’ve executed beautifully. I would gladly trade a thousand American Idols or other such programs that provide very unsophisticated entertainment value…for the continuance of FNL. I have been moved by this series and hope beyond hope that you will be able to continue. Please keep up the great work!

I want to thank you for this outstanding show. I have 2 sons who recently got back from serving in Iraq and I have not had a more pleasant distraction in the past year and a half. Your show brought me back to their high school days and provided me with a little time away from the worries about their upcoming deploymentYour speech in this episode when you are talking to your team is something I think my sons would benefit from hearing before they go back into a different kind of battle. As a 33 year-old guy, I tuned in for the football and my 26 year-old wife and I kept tuning in because it was fun, exciting, not cliche, and an oh so accurate portrayal of relationships, young and old.
We totally identified with the Taylors in a way we never have with a couple on TV or in movies.

I caught on to this show about 10 episodes in and I became hooked! I can't wait for the 2nd season...thanks NBC!! :D

Please thank all who are responsible for the Christian attitude this show takes. I love that the players pray before a game; that in the final show Landry says "it's the Christian thing to do." So many people are afraid of offending minorities, but it's okay to offend Christians. Thanks for not being afraid to show prayer!

I remember when I saw the movie and thought it was great and then when I heard there was going to be a TV show I was anxious to watch it.

I watched every episode and would like to say the show is absolutely incredible. I love it! The actors are all awesome as I was so into all of them.

There are only two shows that I consider a must see and they are '24" and I know that Connie was on last season right at the beginning and your show.

It was very sad to see the show end last night but it was a great last episode.

I am very much looking forward to next season.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!! I have been a Kyle Chandler fan since "Early Edition" and my goodness when he appeared on "Grey's Anatomy" not once, not twice, but three times....It was amazing. The funny thing about this show is that I stumbled upon it. I was at work looking for something and I pulled up the website and that cutie Kyle Chandler was right there saying "Come look at me" and who can resist that southern drawl that he has, so I obliged him and those bedroom eyes (LOL).

I watched every single episdoe within a two day span (and I have never gotten so much work done in my life) and I became hooked. I know that Dillon, Texas does not exist but if it did I would love to be there.

My son (who is 9) and I watched the season finale together and the more he talked the more I threatened to "SMASH" him. Then once he stopped with the mouth he was more into it than I was.

I hope this show will be around for a long time!! I am hooked on FNL just like Grey's Anatomy.

Please keep this show on the air. There is rarely a show that actually makes us care about the characters and mean something to viewers. When you see a show like "According to Jim" or "The Class" stay on the air you wonder what TV execs are thinking. FNL is meaningful, heartfelt, and the best show on TV. Please, NBC, don't cancel this show with great writing, excellent cimetography, and perfect actors. Kyle and Bonnie have awesome chemistry, and I will be so disappointed if this show leaves us with a story untold

I didn't think an another actor could come across so sincere since Kyle was on Home Front UNTIL seeing Connie and Kyle together. The whole cast does a FANTASTIC job!! GO PANTHERS....FINALLY a REAL show the country should watch together.

FNL is an incredible show. The opposite of what you might expect when you first think of a series based on a high school football team. The depth of the characters, the issues, acting, dialogue, filming style...it's truly a work of art. A show with character. A show with a message. That stands for something. All while being completely engrossing and entertaining. IF NBC doesn't renew this show, it will be a sad sad testement to the power of the ratings and a network's lack of courage to stand behind great work. If any NBC execs are out there, take this opportunity to differentiate your network and create something great. The momentum will only continure to build. The audience will grow, and you'll get your margins in the long run. Long live FNL!

The show is brilliant!!! In 1987 our football team went 14-0 and this show brings back the memories. The team work, the spirt of a town coming together as one. Kyle I love your character you and Connie has an amazing chemistry. Sure hope to see season 2!

I love this show. I can't wait until next season! The characters are so real and believable. I have to know what happens next!

What makes it so special is the stark open real feeling of the non-game as contrasted with the larger than life game content. We were introduced to a cast of characters that grew and the coach and his oh so special wife with their solid leadership values are what makes this such a good show for this country.

Best drama on TV. We identify w/ FNL because we live in a small town in So. GA where f'ball is KING. Excellent writing, cast is great. Have been praying for success for FNL. Kyle, remember Kim Grant? I'm her mom.

Kyle, like your character, you continue to show motivation and an amazing uplifting spirit.

GREAT SHOW! Reminds me so much of my high school playing days. We struggled to get to state, but we played teams like Odessa Permian and Lubbock Monterrey - BIG teams. What a feeling! Great show. I can honestly say that of all the prime time shows on the 4 major networks FNL is the only one I make a point to watch every week. Do not mean to wish the summer away, but am looking forward to next season.

This is the best show on TV by a long shot. I watch some of the other popular shows but this one I cannot miss! It is truly for the family and deals with real life situations. I love Kyle Chandler as the coach and his wife Connie Britton, they have such good values and are such role models for all of the high school kids. It warms my heart. If they don't come back for season 2 I will be so disappointed. I am going to go write to NBC right now. Please come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Email often!!! Then talk up the show to all your friends this summer so that they're all aflutter with anticipation by the time the first show of the second season begins. And nag NBC relentlessly about keeping this show for a long, long time!!! We have to keep up the effort!

I have to say that this is one of the greatest shows on television. For once I have found a show that I can watch with my family and us all be in agreement. We love it and look fwd to another season. This show has portrayed great family values along with situations that do happen in real life. Not all family's live the life of the Hollywood Dream and this show unlike the popular reality tv shows help people see that. I read in my local newspaper that this show would not be back for season 2, I hope this was a misprint. NBC you would be making a huge mistake not bring back such a great show. Thank you NBC and the actors of Friday Night Lights. Look fwd to seeing you next season...we will mark our calander!

There are so few truly quality shows on T.V. and Friday Night Lights is one of the best. I look forward to it each week. NBC...don't blow it...show that you know quality when you see it...keep FNL around for a long time to come.

what a GREAT show. Everyone should be aware of the values demonstrated here...but, also, what great story lines. I want to know who's who on the show...about the book and movie..also how to let NBC how many of us there are out here and how we love the show...I can't imagine how I'll get by until next year.

We love the show & you 2 as a perfect couple. As Texans, we "get it" about football fever. We wonder who picks the music for the show. That song about Devil town & Vampires seemed inappropriate and a let down at the end of a great show. Where's the typical small town Texas music???

Kyle and Connie-you are unbelievably gifted actors!! I am the biggest Friday Night Lights fan alive. I've seen every show twice. Hope NBC does a better job of promoting you next year. I'd like to see both of you and other cast members on Oprah, The View, Leno, etc., etc. All you have to do is see this show once and you're hooked. I also hope they re-run the entire first season this summer (promote, promote, promote) so others have a chance to get involved when there are fewer distractions. I love this program - my sons had a fantastic coach in Tucson - Ollie Mayfield who was terrific. This show touches my heart. So glad you'll be back next year.

Absolutely the best show on TV right now! I am a 50+ female who never had a football player in my family, but I come out of my chair during Wednesday night Panthers games, cheering like I am at the game! Kyle and Connie, tonight's episode was incredible!
