There have been so many, and by the way, thank you. I just love being able to play these characters who are so particularly Southern. Everyone can relate to them, but to me, having grown up in Virginia (my dad was from Tennessee), there is something special about that world and Southern families.
I love working with all the actors and every day has been great, but a really fun moment was that scene I had with Kyle in the field with the cows. That was such a beautiful night and it was magic hour and that field was beautiful and expansive. There was something great and fun about shooting that scene.
I watch this show with my family every week and we love it. We're sports fans and have lived in small towns (and other places where football and/or basketball RULE) and your show depicts what it's like. It's art and it's real.
great show I am the founder of the s.w.a.t.s program Sports with alternatives to steroids .WWW.ANTISTEROIDPROGRAM.COM Smash had a problem with this subject and when he stopped using them there was no down side he played great even better then at the start of the season. That is very misleading to any athelete it made it look good and no problem such as the side effects of depresstion loss of strength, weight, motivation and even thoughts of death just thought u would like to know about this new drug program like the DARE program .the image that u gave smash is to be the best running back is add some steroids and bingo he did.So the next time u step in to the #1 sports problem make sure u dont make yourself part of the problem.kids now think they work cus of guys like bonds, gatlin and smash williams GO TO WEB SITE WWW.ANTISTEROIDPROGRAM.COM or call 205 281 3488
This Show Is Awesome! Thanks for a great season ONE and hoping for lots more! What an awesome job by all of the actors! We love you! From Louisville!

I thought that was sooo funny when the cows sort of scared you, Connie! I could tell that that scene was probably a blooper and they left it in 'cause it was so cute! Love the show and TiVo every episode! Can't wait for next season! Kyle, you need to stay in Dillon! Hope you're enjoying Texas. I've lived here almost all my life and love it!

The both of you make your characters look so real. I was wondering if either of you ever had interests in working with kids either by counseling or coaching.
we love fnl! we look foward to it every week ... we dont watch much t.v. the actors, the writing, even the photography is excellent! you always feel like you are really right there living all of the characters lives.
please please renew this show! it is the very best on any network! it is intelligent and real and everyone of the actors are exceptional with very relevant storylines that you can really care about! we will be waiting for the season premiere!!!
You guys are great, I'm Living a very similar lifestyle to your characters. I coach high school football in Massachusetts: wife, 1 year old saughter and one on the way! My wife and I love it. Did you both meet with a actual couple living this lifestyle in order to help you both understand your characters? Do you both like football?
Connie and Kyle, you've both been great in other stuff. But it seems like this has to be th sweetest acting opportunity you've had in your stellar careers. This has been a perfect season of television. Each week I think it can't get any better, but it does. Were you both blown away when you read the first script?
What a great show! My husband and I love it. What did you think about the ending being different from the movie/book?
Can't wait until SEASON 2! You 2 are awesome...along with the other STARS of FNL! Me, my mom and my little sister rush home from church every Wednesday so that we don't miss a minute! If NBC is smart...they will renew this show for 10 more seasons! We love you all!
Connie,
Can you ask to work with a better group of guys:
Michael, Kiefer, Kyle, and the Dillon Panthers ?
Hey guys, that finale was great, I am really glad street found a place on the team and you left the Coach's decision ambiguous.
Connie, who do you think would make a better coach in real life, Kyle or Billy Bob?
Also, Kyle, on this site they had an alternate version of the Locker Room speech, which was more similar to the movie versions. How many versions did you shoot and which felt best to you?
Love the show, this season was great!! Hoping for season two
I just wanted to tell you guys how much I love this show. Real stories about real people. Great characters, excellent acting by everyone on the show. I really appreciate that this show is about more than football as was so eloquently expressed coach tonight. Television needed a program about family. Thanks for being a part of that! Do you know yet if the show is going to be renewed? I really hope so.
Connie,
Can you ask to work with a better group of guys:
Michael, Kiefer, Kyle, and the Dillon Panthers ?
Love the show! Kyle, I've loved your acting ever since I saw you in Early Edition. I never missed an episode. Then I got all excited when I saw you on Grey's Anatomy (which was a superb job) thinking you might join the show as the next McHottie, but you blew up at the end of the show. :( So I was elated when I saw you with such a great cast on this show. You and Connie have great chemistry...I would marry you...that's how convincing you are. :) Keep up the great work. The finale was really good and I look forward to next season. This is my very first post ever in a blog and I did it just for you to know how great your acting truly is.
Julie is hot but she is with Saracen so make sure he keeps her coach, but you might want to keep an eye on her haha.
At first I thought this was just another football show, but I watched it and loved it. You have great writers and actors. Hope your working on next season. Keep up the great work.
This show is fantastic and you guys have made it even more so! My wife, daughter, and I never miss an episode. The relationship between Eric and Tami reminds me so much of my wife and myself. One of my favorite topics was the pre-marital sex issue between Matt and Julie. The dialogue between Tami and Julie was so powerful! The topics touched on by this show help to open dialogue within my family and I thank you guys for that. Keep up the great work and good luck.
My husband and I have loved this show. I think the characters are the most believable I have ever seen on TV. I hope FNL will be back for another season, but even if it's not - What a Way to Go! Yea, Panthers!
We could not LOVE this show more!!!We live in a small town very much like Dillon. This show is very true to life, but with the twists and turns that are missing in an every day world. The actors are amazing! We do not have a favorite, it wouls be impossible to choose. I pray that NBC will renew the show for next year. We loved the finale, but will have an emptiness in our home on Wednesday night until the premire of next season.
Hey, guys~I'm not sure my comment went through earlier...
Just wanted to let you know that there are not words that could truly convey how much we love this show.
Not only do we find ourselves cheering for the 'Panthers' as if we're cheering for a real football game, we see ourselves in the characters that you portray....We're praying for Season 2...
How has it affected the crew~seeing all the support from the fans?
Great first season, really captured the authentic feel of high school football. If there is a next season (which i hope there is), and coach Taylor does accept the job at TMU, will he still be a part of the story switching back and forth from Dillon? Also, is that some proof that if you (coach) do stay that we may be in for at least another year of coach Taylor at Dillon?
Great show. Very realistic. My husband coaches high school football too. I would definitely tell him to follow his dream too and know all the time and emotions invested in not just the team but the kids too.
what an excellent show! I really hope NBC will keep it running for another season, but Coach Taylor better be back to coach the panthers! The two of you, "Matt" and "Julie" make for some good television and are really inspirational. Thanks for the great season.
Great Show ! We enjoy it, hope you all will be around again for another season. You both make it enjoyable and a pleasure to watch each week.
Kyle,
I did a lot of extra work on Homefront when I lived in LA. What does it feel like to be working with another great cast? How do you think the producers will deal with graduating seniors as I'm sure FNL will continue. Think they'll put them all back in the 11th grade like they did on BH90210? :)
Great show, terrific final episode (just ambiguous enough to keep us hanging for next season!) Questions:
1. Would you talk about what it was like to film the championshp game? Did you really use Texas Stadium in Dallas? How long did it take?
2. For Connie: I saw the FNL movie on FX the other night. Love that late-80's hair! :-)
Seriously, I'm glad you have the opportunity to explore the character in more detail in a TV series. I have a friend who's a football coach's wife (HS) and she says you nail it.
Can't wait until next season! Here's hoping for some Emmy nominations, which will give this show the extra exposure it needs!
hey great frickin show. there had better be another season. It doesnt happen often that a series comes along that doesnt always glorify the anti hero and isnt into too much teeny bopper crap. It has emotions and morals and being a christian, it really brightens up my week. thanks guys
My family loves Friday Night Lights. We sincerely hope it will be back next season. Y'all did a great job and I really love all the characters. Kyle and Connie I think you both are great leaders for this show. What was your favorite story line?
We love the show!!! We actually hired a sitter to sit with our two year old in the living room while we sat on a blanket in our bedroom, eating crackers and cheese and drinking wine. We were faithful viewers through the entire season and even watched the FNL marathon on Bravo. Please tell us that you'll be back for another season. P.S. We had a baby when our youngest was 13 - so we can relate to what your characters are feeling.
This show is the best. I feel that is one that should be continued. I am tired of the reality shows and enjoy seeing a program with real actors who take the script seriously and truly are entertaining to watch. Please do not cancel this show. I look forward to this program every week. Thank you karen
Great first season, really captured the authentic feel of high school football. If there is a next season (which i hope there is), and coach Taylor does accept the job at TMU, will he still be a part of the story switching back and forth from Dillon? Also, is that some proof that if you Chris do stay that we may be in for at least another year of coach Taylor at Dillon?
First of all FNL is my FAVORITE new show! and I think that you two are perfect on the show! Im left hanging though...are you goin to TMU?:) I heard today on the radio that the show will be getting to run 5-6 more episodes next season is this true?LOVELOVELOVE this show!
OMG!!! Please tell me there is going to be a second season!!!!!!!
Hi,
I really enjoy the show, you guys make the week worth looking forward too. I can't wait to see you next season. The thing I love about the show is how much heart you bring to the characters.
Hi Kyle,
You are so awesome, you totally made the show. I have been your fan since you played on the show HOMEFRONT.
Is Friday Night Lights coming back next season and how was the show in the ratings? To all the people who never watched this show boy have you missed out. Your cast is great!! The show has true heart. Kyle just want to say you are a hunk!!!!!!
I thought the show was AWESOME! Coming from a small town in Louisiana where football was big, it is so easy to relate. My husband thinks I'm crazy because I have to be home on Tuesday nights to watch. I hope ya'll will be back next season!!
Please tell me you will be back next season. Me and my husband will not be watching unless you are. We think you are the best tv family. You bring about events from everyday life and you make it to where it is real. We love it and thank you for everything you do to bring it into our homes
First and foremost I want to thank NBC for giving this show a shot, my wife and I love it. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton are absolutely great. Being a high school football coach myself in Massachusetts, I can relate to the program and appreciate it much more. The similarities are to a tee...I appreciate it because my family and I are unbelievebly similar to that of Coach Taylor and his Mrs. Outstanding job all around, you guys did a wonderful job. Hats off to you all, looking forward to next season.
Thanks for a great season. I love the ending tonight - sums up well the uniqueness of the show - w/o the cheesy Hollywood ending where you tell the kids you're coming back. Thanks for great TV - we really look forward to Wed. nights.
There has to be a next season...you can't just say your having a baby and your family is going to split between Dillon and Austin Texas to persue your dream careers?!?!?!!?
My wife and I really really enjoy the show and all the characters. We live in Dacula Ga, which is right down the road from where Kyle is from in Loganville. It is good to see a show with good moral values that the family can watch together. It's a show that that lets you feel apart of it.
Again thanks for the great show and honestly the acting is extremely good. Though thank you for not ending the show tonight the same way the movie ended.
Joshua Evans
how was it to shoot the last episode?? was it emotional??
Tammi & Eric have such an amazing relationship on the show.....do you guys have as much fun playing those charachters as much as I love watching you?!
Lori in Canada
My mom has me addicted to this show! I live in a football town and LOVE the sport...there is SO much trash on the networks and your show shows how highschool really is! I think you should stay at Dillon though! Thanks for a GREAT show and I'm looking forward to SEASON 2!!!!!!
Hyle and Connie,
Thanks for Season 1, we're guessing the baby will be a boy in Season 2 ?
Hey guys, great show. How has it been working with studios in Austin compared to those in L.A., etc and have you noticed the Austin community embracing the show?
I LOVE the show. Where are you from in Virginia?
Can you talk a little bit about where you guys shoot? Is it in Texas? Hollywood? If California, how do you keep that southern small-town 'center' when you're in Hollywood? Kudos on the acting for the entire cast - best I've seen on television. Everyone is so natural in thier parts!
Thanks for helping make this the best show ever on TV. Do you like being able to improvise?
awesome finale!!! how was it shooting the last episode??? was it emotional??
Kyle and Connie:
Great show tonight. Great season. I'm a promotion manager at an NBC affiliate in Lancaster, PA....and I gotta tell you, FNL is one show that really makes me proud to say I work at an NBC station. Quality writing. Great production. The kind of shows the Network needs to run....and give a chance to succeed in a time period and consistent day that your audience can actually find you and build. Fingers crossed that we see a season two. Are you two hopeful, and want to come back?
this was the best show i had ever seen... really... i was excited to watch it every week and i had not missed any episode of it... how did you guys felt when you met for the first time with the whole crew? thanks for answering...
mr chandler... i am big fan of yours... and i love early edition too:)
We love this show. We watch as a family every Wednesday. Hopefully there will be another season starting in the fall.
I just wanted to say that I have loved this show all season! Can't wait until next year! I have followed Kyle Chandler since he was on Homefront and think that every project he is involved with is a great one! Great Show!
Hi Kyle and Connie...
I'm not in high school, I don't live in Texas and I don't play football, but I love this show! The writing, the acting and the filming combine to make such a real, wonderful experience. Thank you!
when is season 2 coming out and are u guys leaving?
Hey guys, love the show, hoping for a second season...
Here's my question: How do you two personally feel that the Show did in comparisson with the movie. FNL was a truly great movie (and i believe a better series) but i would just like to get your thoughts on this *Especially you Connie, being that you were in both.
We are four brothers that play football. We started watching the show after football practice. Now we watch it to keep the football season alive. We are sad the season is over, but all four of us look forward to next season. Our Mom and Dad really like the show too!!! Can't wait to see the baby!!
I love this show, and hope there will be more season's to come and hopefully all the cast member's return
will there be a seasosn 2?
hey guys,
I loved the first season, and I was wondering when the second season is goning to begin if there is going to be one. Thanks
What attracted you to the character you play on the show?
i love the show and really hope it comes back in the fall. What has been the most challenging part of playing these roles?
is there going to be another season?
Once again the producers, directors and cast of Friday Night Lights turned out the best episode yet! The season finale took our breath away. The scenes on the highway, in the stadium and in the locker room are proof that this show should be back! and Back Big! How 'bout NBC finally does the right thing and has a FRIDAY NIGHT slot for Friday Night Lights in the fall schedule. Can't wait for the Emmy nominations! Thank you -- we all look forward to next season and more stories from Dillon, Texas!
I hope there is a second season and that Coach Taylor is back to coach the Panthers. Coach Taylor and his wife and Julie & Matt made the show this season and it would not be the same show with them being apart. Please tell us there is still a chance
This show has really touched me...I have been a fan from day 1! I think the way the
show is directed and produced is briliant, not to mention all the actors and I will miss it...especially you Kyle!
Hi there! I just love the relationship between Tammi and Eric on the show....do you guys love playing those characters as much as I love watching you?!
Lori in Canada
What an amazing show with a great ending. I think "Mr. & Mrs. Taylor" are one of the best t.v. show couples out there. I hope there is going to be another season with hopefully "Coach Taylor" as the coach. But if there is and he isn't is the coach going to be "Jason Street?"
I know alot of people in Texas felt the book Friday Night Lights put them in a bad light. How has your reception with the TV show been?
We LOVE your show, the writing and acting are the best. Please tell me it's tru that you will be back in the fall.
I mirror the comments above as far as the ever looming question about next season. If not now when can we expect an answer? You guys were great this season I surely hope that there is another.
What a fantastic show I loved watching this show it was so great. I followed it where ever NBC moved it Sun Fri, Wed no matter I never wantd to miss it. Someone just told me you won't be back next season!!! Please tell me they are wrong.
Will coach be back is season 2 with the rest of the cast ?
I absolutely love the show and am dying to know if you guys will be back next year.....
where did coach taylor come from before dillon? and will he stay?
You 2 have awesome chemistry. My daughters and I watch all of the episodes together. Thank you for making a great show with REAL story lines. We love you all! (p.s. Let Julie stay with Seransen!)
I love the show. I was wondering if most of the main characters on the football team where suppose to be underclassmen or seniors?
I love the show! So real, it brings me to tears since I was raised in a "football" family and was in Julie's position. Please bring it back!
Great series. I hope you all are renewed for another season. I cannot tell you how many guys have told me they cannot get their wives to watch football, yet their wives cannot get enough of FNL and set their schedules around Wednesday nights.
have missed part of the season finale :(
hope it gets posted on site soon and season 2 starts in the fall line-up!
wonderful finale...in your opinion what character or group of characters had the most compelling storyline?
Love the show!!!! Please tell me you guys will be back for another season. I'm grew up in Texas, and just love the show!!
Will there be another season? This season was great.
