C: I wouldn't change anything. I just love playing the character. The great part about doing series TV is that you learn more about your character each week. My favorite part of her is her sense of humor - it's a very Southern thing. No matter what's happening or what adversity you're dealing with, everything can be approached with a sense of humor and it makes things easier to get through and that's one of the most fun things about the character for me.
hey....excellent show i love it. Me being a former highschool football player myself i can relate to most of that show. Its actually helped me in a way move on from my injury the ended my football playing. But i hope to see another season of that. an connie love ya darling best coaches wife ever, an kyle keep it up buddy best coach going
First of all thanks to both of you for being part of this wonderful show. Its got everything that prime time should have..sports, drama, SPORTS, just enough spicy dialogue to make it seem real..I was actually on my feet when Smash scored that final TD, all the while knowing it was a forgone conclusion that the Panthers would win. Thats good acting y'all!!! If, God forbid, this was the last season for Friday Night Lights I sure hope to see both of you AND the rest of the cast members in other things. Thanks once again for doing your part to keep this show REAL! BTW, Connie you're gorgeous!! Kyle, how did I know you would be a biker? shoulda seen that one. Ride safe!
Honestly, what a wonderful program. I am not much of a television watcher, but I look forward to Wednesdays. I don't have any idea how well the program does in the measurables within the industry, but suppose it may be hampered by the Southern and Football themes.
Just for fun, I posted a note to Dave Barry's blog when the program started tonight, a site populated by diverse characters that are mostly writers, and that love characters. Hopefully, some new people tuned in tonight.
Wishing you folks the best.
I would like to say Thank you to the whole cast, writers, everyone. As a mom, a southern Bell, and the wife of a college Baseball coach (div 1) I just love this show. Its a show I can relate to and watch without fear that something will be said that my toddler should not repeat. I love each character from Matt's shy but chivalry and sweetness,to his best friends love for God but desire to be himself, to Matts girlfriend. The coach struggling to be a good coach while being a good father and husband. The coachs wife trying to do good for her husband while pursuing her own dreams. I will say that because of this show my boys will not play football.......because of the star quarterbacks injury..:) I am a little extreme..lol. Truly I love the show and its the one hour I look forward to each week on t.v. over ANY other show on t.v. I choose FNL. Will the show be returning for another season? If this show is cancelled it will be the worst cancellation of any show ever....!
Both of your characters are amazing in this series, you both are such raw and real actors. My daughter is inspired and loves the range of your characters, we dont really have time to watch too much tv but we always find time to relax as a family and watch every week!!! we loved spin city homefront early edition and of course FNL!!! see you next season
Hey u2.... i dont know if i am doing this right, but i hope you two get this. Anyways, my family just loves this show. It has been a long time since we have made it a point to schedule t.v. around our nightly schedules. I just want to say thank you both and the entire cast for doing such a fantastic job and keeping our attention. The best thing about this show is how you guys deal with real life crisis. That really means alot.. sometimes it gets tiring to watch shows that are so far fetched. Thank you again!!! The Barry's from Ohio
Wow - this is such a great show, and I am really hoping for a sophmore season! No TV show has EVER kept me on the edge of my seat with my hand over my mouth like this one. There is no storyline that is boring - it is a full hour of great entertainment. Thanks for your hard work...hope to see more of it!
You two have great chemistry. My wife and I love watching the show. It is my favorite show ever. By far. For me, I sit and reflect, 20 years ago, I played high school ball. Caught a few touchdowns. Got to dress out for State with the varsity. I sit every week with wide eyes while my wife watches my goosebumps rise and fall through every episode. It takes me back to a time that I will never get back, but through your show I get to FEEL it again. Thank you. Love you guys, and the show.
Hello, to Connie and Kyle, and the rest of your crew. What will you be doing in your spare time? Will the show be coming to DVD? You's WILL be missed until next season. GOD BLESS THANKS FOR A GREAT SHOW. Your #1 fan JEFF
I'm not a big fan of football but I love this show because it deals with more than that. Keep up the good work and I hope it comes back next season.
Tami's humor is killer! She seems to be the only one in Dilion that has a good intelligent sense of humor.
Tim riggins is a pimp. BEST roast ever!
You two are so good together, especially when you are arguing! Was it natural or did it take a lot of work?
I echo Brian's question - will there be another season? My husband just made this comment - "I am 46 years old and that is the only show I can say I have never missed an episode of." What are we going to do next Wednesday night?
For me, this has been one of the best shows to be developed in a long time. As a high school teacher, I have appreciated and recognized the characters. Kyle and Connie, you have certainly done your homework, and are to be congratulated for your excellent work. I hope you come back for a second season.
I love the show. I have seen every episode multiple times. Is there talk of another season?
My husband and I have enjoyed this show so much! I was on the edge of my seat watching the Dillon Panthers bring it home! I hope the show returns next season! ( I hope the baby is a boy)!!!!!!!
hey love the show havn't missed an episode yet, since i love football an me being a former football player.
how did you feel playing that role and what made you want to be the coach
Brilliant. The finale as well as the entire season. I watch NOTHING on network television with regularity, but this show moves me week after week, and wondering whether the credit should go mostly to the actors, the script, or the direction. Thank you for your work.
Kyle--Will you marry me?
You both are excellent. How did you get the Football game segments so true to life?
Kyle: Did you spend any time with any HS coaches, and what did you use from that in your acting?
There better be another season. Your looks at Sareson are priceless
Kyle,
I read in People that you were going to ride your bike from Texas back to LA. Did you make the ride? I have a Harley Road King. What motor do you ride?
Bill
Germantown, Maryland
i want to say that was the best show on tv....i love watching it and can't wait till next year for a repeat state title...coach are you coming back to dillion or what
I love Tami's humor too. She seems to have such high tolerance for everything. Even when she and Eric are fighting she's calm and cool
where's kyle ?
is there going to be another season???
