The name Jason Street was inspired by the Street family out of Austin, TX – there were three brothers, one of whom wound up playing pro baseball. Then there's the two other brothers who I got to know quite well during the filming of the movie Friday Night Lights, and these were two of the toughest football players – for Austin West Lake High School - and nicest kids I ever met and they were very inspiring for me and I decided to name one of the characters "street" in honor of that family.
Hello! Good Site! Thanks you! gnimydukwmenjn
Read the book, watched the movie, saw the show. Oh, yeah, went to Permian High School in the mid 70s....
Loved the book, liked the movie, had WONDERFUL goosebumps throughout the show!!!! The only thing that I couldn't get past were the Blue uniforms. I know it is fictional but I just kept thinking how they would have looked in BLACK.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
Peter, Your answers are why we all love you. You are a good person. I wish you and your entire cast and crew a long and happy run. All'ya'll
deserve it!!
Again, I repeat...do not change a thing! It was perfect! Praying is a good thing!
loved the show, reminds me of how football has always been in Arkansas (similar to Texas, Okla, Ala, etc...we love it) Thanks for giving us a show we can enjoy with all the family...and showing the emotions and values of most small towns...
Good luck with this show

Just wanted to say that I loved the show. I'm a 61 year old grandmother who doesn't even like football but your premiere show already has me hooked.
Mazel Tov - I hope it's a great success!

First I have to admit I love the movie Aspen Extreme, that was my first experience with anything Peter Berg has done and I have been hooked ever since. Loved the movie Friday Night Lights, it did a very good job of following the book for the most part. Glad to see you are involved with this project as well. In regards to the long sleeves in Texas. I know plenty of players who wear long sleeves and track tights in extereme temps. Not that unheard of. Keep up the good work.
Peter
I have looked forward to this show for months. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!

Will the picture from the cover of the book be recreated at the beginning of one of the games?
