Greg- Jason came in and I was a fan and he wanted to do it. So we casted Earl. I was watching DVD commentary for 'Without a Paddle' and saw Ethan. I was impressed with the small things he does that adds to the character. I looked at him and wanted to see if he was interested in doing the show. Jason's agent saw Ethan was looking at the show and called in and said, "Hey, that's Jason's buddy", Jason and him did 'Mallrats together'...so we got Ethan.
Ethan u were fuckin hilarious in that movie
without a paddle is without a doubt one of the best comedies
Greg- Where have you been hiding all these years? We must have grown up together. And where has Ethan been hiding too?!!!
It's a great thing when you can take some bleak experiences with the people you saw growing up in your life, spin it, and turn it into hilarity. You give a person back his proper perspective. You actually are serving a great purpose and a greater good yourself. Thanks for keeping me fresh on laughing on myself and where I have come from!!
JOY is HOTT...and i like that House of the Rising Sun was played tonight...i once saw the Animals live at the Boston House of Blues and met Dan Ackroyd!
Earl getting laid was cool, but know he will be in jail trying not to get laid!!! Funny Twist!!! Who is going to take care of Randy!!! Will he move in with Joy or Catalina!!!
Gregorio!
We have certainly enjoyed the show back in the hometown.
We laugh at the references and I enjoy seeing your mom around townand chatting about it. There were shades of your comedic side in Senora Blanco's class...GREGORIO!
anyone know when season 2 comes out on dvd?
All I have to say is This show better come back next season. You guys are the best.
I LOVE EARL!!! in a plutonic way of course. but how could they do that to me?? what a cliffhanger
And what a wonderful way to bring romance into Earl's life too. Your show is off center but with one helluva heart!
How hard is it to be so creative and funny without being crude as most shows tend to be?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Earl will be back next year, right ? There are too few quality shows on tv, this is one of them. For it's time, I really think this show is on a par with I Love Lucy or Dick Van Dyke.
when you frist read the script did you really think earl was going to go away for two years? And will he get out before that?
Given Ethan/Jason's previous involvement with Kevin Smith, is there any chance he might make an cameo appearance or as a director?
How would I go about getting on a episode?
No way! Two years? I can usually figure out how a series will resume, but your writers have me wondering this time!
what the flip 2 years
i cant live without earl 4 2years
i stole the truck
Well, that was a heck of a way to end the season. Excellent plot twist....
what the flip 2 years
i cant live without earl 4 2years
i stole the truck
so.... was it a sailboat or a schooner?
