When I was 13 my parents lost ther home, and we moved up to mountains and lived in a tent trailer ! To a 13 year old this was devistating to loose all your friends and a home in the upper class area of California. But we survived !!! I am so sorry to hear about your concusion ! Mr. Banker, I really feel the need to express my genuine concern about the OBESITY epidemic that has been plaguing America for a few years now. Now, I'm definitely no fitness guru, but I do exercise 3 or 4 times per week. But our SS Banner boldly proclaims that America is the "land of the free"--well, I wish that was true in the physical fitness department. According to the medical community, obesity causes diabetes, heart disease, and so many other physical problems. I'm talking about former DOND contestants Stan Stava, Brooks Leach, Will Jimeno, Wynnetta Williams, Tony Kolton, Larry Bales, Matty Sollena(the $675K winner), Charlene Miranda, Cecil Richardson, and Adam Hansen. It seems that many Americans have unwillingly placed themselves at the very bottom of their own priority list!! But AMERICA NEEDS TO GET IN SHAPE!! There's no excuse for it--we have gyms everywhere, and we don't always have to be eating "drive thru" food.

So here's my proposal to you, Mr. Banker: When you have an obese or very overweight person on your show, you should give them the physical challenge of running or jogging lightly on a treadmill. For every 100 calories that they burn, you should INCREASE the offer by $10K. Please let me know what you think. My contact information is included below.

You say you write everything down, so here is something for your little file. When I was 13 my sister ran over my head with her bike and gave me a concussion. You should have seen the tire tracks on my forehead.

I sent you guys a letter, with lots of pictures. Me riding a red pig, me dressed as a man, me dancing, me dressed up as Betty Boop and many more. I hope you enjoy them!

I also plugged Octoberfest, since I love to Polka and we could have my favorite band there (The Polka Family) and we could do a German toast and fit Howie in Lederhosen and you get the rest. There would be a good time on the DOND show that night...POLKA ON.

Hi Mr. Banker and fellow bloggers. Well, a busy day ahead so not much time to post.

Pam-not customer service, but I used to teach (taught special ed for 14 years-had to stop with my last cancer surgery. It really did a number on me---but (sorry to digress), calling roll was a daily event.

I agree, while Mr. Banker has some venom running thru his veins, he also has a bit of sugar and honey flowing thru them too.

This is Eric again hoping everyone had a good Monday. Deal or no Deal has only a few episodes left. It's going to be sad now that DOND is going off the air until September but it gives us time to talk about the season and what to expect from Season 4. I hope Season 4 doesn't have another October to forget where we had snakegate, and three contestants Alicia Whitaker, Wynetta Williams, and Neal Washington sell their millon dollar cases or another contestant winning a penny like Heather McKee the worst contestant in Season 3. I know Deal or no Deal hasn't been giving us too many good moments this season but I hope these last three episodes end DOND on a positive note. Keep the faith.

does anyone know what today is?? I have been waiting for a call from Dond 413 days that was my6 first tryout then I have been waiting 72 days that is from my second tryout, But I am determined and I have faith my phone will ring soon....

I can't wait to see if you are nice tomorrow or grumpy tomorrow Mr. Banker,, As long as there is no Million Dollars given away you should be nice, kind ,generous, thoughtful, positive,Oh wait I just woke up you not that kind of Banker. Your grumpy,grouchy, negative, rude, sometimes down right mean.( like telling the scout leader he was out of shape, and breaking the poor ladies piggy bank, and I can't forget the snakes in the case, and telling the lady she need wrinkle cream.

I have to admit something...I've fallen in love with the SS Banner! It's the most beautiful song I've ever heard, and I seriously claim that I can sing it like Mariah and Whitney!! Hello Dawn, I love Friendship, IN during both yr.ly Shoots ! In my teens & early 20's many of us nearly lived down there. It was the place to be then, day & night. It's certainly changed since then though, back then it was one big party place. I enjoy the area with Tipi's most & those wearing buckskin & etc, campfires, flea markets stands. It is very beautiful there ! Gun's & thing's, yes in my youth yr's I hunted, had various shot guns & rifles, but last deer I shot in early 80's I begin crying, said to myself; these animals needed to live they are so beautiful, so that ended my yr.ly hunting seasons. I'm a wilderness type of nature freak anyways, put me out in the woods near creeks & streams near mountianous rocks too & I'm at peace & home under the skies ! Any Season !! I believe the Native Cherokee Blood runs deeper than thought on my deceased father's side. I took after my mother's side, light headed, green eyed, all three of my children's eyes are green also.

Indiana weather is great today!! sunny clear blue skies and 89 degrees, Beautiful.

Mitchell I too have been to Friendship Indiana it is beautiful there. My husband and son love to shoot there, and of course they always find something that has to do with guns or bow and arrows, target, you know anything that has to do with hunting.

I was happy to see the Scount leader take the offer after he had 10 dollars in his case.
John I am not sure what you meant about the Scount leaders uniform I thought he looked nice and the models outfit was nice also I felt it was done tastfuly.

I have been amazed that people get 12 ONE MILLION DOLLAR cases and they still don't win a Million Dollars.

Mr. Banker do you have any of the answers to the questions I asked yesterday????

Just got back from Scout camp in central Indiana. Flooding made getting there a challenge and the weather wasn't nearly as bad as Iowa's disasterous storm. Flying flags at half-mast with taps at every flag raising, paying respects at campfires with moments of silence, all made with dignity and respect, but also made the younger boys with fear of bad weather more uneasy.

I had mixed feelings after seeing a few snippets of this week's show. I only wished that who ever made the decision to have him in his scout uniform had taken the time to make sure that it met guidelines. (My wife says I'm being petty, but proper uniforming is one of my pet pieves.) It is not that he is an exception. I see lots of leaders who don't have uniforms that could pass an inspection. But the BSA doesn't get too many opportunities to promote itself and when it does, it would be nice to set the best example.

I was really glad to see that he made a great deal.

Mr. Banker, I have a few questions about the process that the NBC producers use to elect someone to be a DOND contestant:

1. Do I have to go through some sort of security clearance, as I did when I became a US citizen?
2. Am I supposed to have some crazy, wacky personality to be on this show?
3. How much of their decision is based on the person's financial need?
4. If I have several musical talents, does that improve my chance of appearing on your awesome show?

Finally a beautiful day in Minnesota, I hope you are all enjoying good weather too.

Well I decided to write to DOND today, and I sent lots of pictures too. I know I have had a second interview, however I wanted them to see me doing things I like to do. I hope they enjoy the pictures enough to call. I have me riding a red mechanical pig, me dressed as a man, me in a milk carton boat race (we won), me dressed as Betty Boop (I love Betty!), I sent pictures of me dancing and all my family and even a picture of me and my sister under a sign that says, "Twisted Sister". I was fun putting together, I hope Howie and the staff enjoy it.

I continue to hope, I am struggling more and more and would very much like to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon.

Hope all of you are doing fine .... and Banker, I think I will see you on my DOND Octoberfest show....Polka on and laugh till everyone wonders what you are up too.

I have been wanting to write to DOND, however they also said that your correspondence should have a tape with it or it won't be read. I wonder if that is true? Well I think I will try.....

I am still so excited for Octoberfest time, I hope they will incorporate my theme into their show. I really need help with my life! I'm sure many of us do, I'm tired of watching so many of my family struggle and I want to take my grandson to Disney World before he gets too old to enjoy it with grandma (he is the only one of the 4 grandkids that haven't flown or been to Disneyland), it would be so cool to take him. Also my car and my son's car are starting to have problems, scary! With gas prices, etc. if your car isn't running well, you don't get good mileage.

I continue to go out into nature and take picture, too cool! I have some pretty awesome pictures of deer, etc. I would love to get a zoom digital camera so I can get things farther away. I would love to compile a book of all my adventures in nature. Don't you just love nature? I could spend hours out there searching and watching. The other night I actually ran across a Painted Turtle laying her eggs, what an awesome event to witness!

I hope mother nature is being kind to you this year, seems she is on one big rampage. She is one powerful women, don't mess with her. Go Green! Save the earth.....

Mr. Abbay, you SERIOUSLY need some arithmetic lessons!! You must be one LOUSY businessman!! For instance, when Adam Hansen had 11 $1M cases on his board, the offer should have been about $483K, NOT $208K!! COME ON, YOU CAN'T BE THAT CHEAP. Even if you want people to leave with as little money as possible, you need to give offers that are reasonably around the mean value. Do you use a standard deviation curve to adjust your offers?

Mr. Abbay, put this on your file--I want to play my violin for those 26 beautiful ladies!! I think women find it very romantic when a man plays an instrument for them, and I personally believe that the violin is one of the most romantic-sounding instruments ever to come out of Italy!

Furthermore, I drove 600 miles from Albuquerque to Salt Lake City for the DOND casting call on April 12, and while there met one of your previous victims--Mary Banford, the Wicked package winner. There must have been 8,000 people there with me on that Saturday morning, because I waited nearly 5 hours to be interviewed. Utah is a very beautiful state, and I truly enjoyed this road trip!! I took my violin to play for your interviewers, but I was only given 20 SECONDS to be interviewed due to the HUGE volume of applicants. How ironic is life--I drove 600 miles for only 20 seconds.

"Be prepared" So glad that the scouts have that motto, because the young men truly sprang to action to help out their fellow campers.

Well, you told us. But, let me asure you when I get on the show I will scare you , cause I don't scare easy,And trust me when I say I am ready to go head to head with you and fist to fist with Howie.
I have went to two tryouts the last one being April 5, 2008 and that was in Piqua Oh and only 67 Days ago.
I also tried out and interviewed with Neal Konstantini on May 1and 2 2007 and that was 408 days ago.

the show is great but you should cut the people some slack, give them more awesome prizes. and in my option you worse than Simon but not as bad as chef Gordon Ramsey.
