Banker Wisdom

Here are just some of my thoughts, advice and insights about the world.

Read and learn, The Banker.

1. If you wear a name tag at work, get a new job.
2. If you have a peanut allergy, then you're weak.
3. Marriage is bad business.
4. Men who re-enact Civil War battles are immature.
5. There is no reason to ever whistle.
6. Never befriend a man wearing a fanny pack.
7. Handlebar mustaches are not cool.
8. A "lady" should never be seen entering or exiting a bathroom.
9. If you could eat your pet in a single meal, the pet's not worth having.
10. Money can buy happiness.

Well Banker, great show. Poor advice. The one I really have a problem with is the first one, "1. If you wear a name tag at work, get a new job." I serve in the Canadian military. I have for 24 years. Like my bretheran in the American services, I where a name tag on my work shirt. I wouldn't take it off for all you free advice. Trading jobs, not by choice. Show a little respect for those of us, in the Services, who have our name tags on. You want a handful. Try an take my name tag off my shirt. LB your bracelet is very nice I know it will bring you luck.
June 2 2008 That means DAY 398!! still DETERMINED TO BE ON THE SHOW.

Posted by:NameDawn Mays | June 02, 2008, 08:28 PM

Hello friends,

This is Eric again and June is here. Do you miss Deal or no Deal? I do but the show's trying to avoid overexposure. Dollydeb, I know you've been waiting for so long to get on the DOND stage to take on the banker but hang in there, don't give up. And if you do get on the show, please don't get greedy or be wild every time you open a case and it contains a small amount. Just have fun and win.

Until next time
Eric

P.S. Super Bowl XLIII is on NBC in February. So besides Deal or no Deal, we can all look forward to that.

Good morning, Mr. Banker!

I saw an old clip of Howie on s blooper show last night-it was hilarious. I had forgotten about it.

Anyway-the contestant's sister was one of the case holders and NO ONE figured it out-not the mom, not the contestant-NO ONE. Howie was going crazy trying to get them to realize who she was!

Now, the reason why I am bringing that up-do you suffer the same thing? Do you get frustrated when NO ONE ever recognizes you as THE BANKER?! Simple solution here-come out of the dark and show your face. I'm certain it's one no one will ever forget.

Hi Simona-all is well in my lil' town by The Lake!

Dollydeb-
I'm fine and I hopen you are too. I wasn wondering if you ever watch DOND"s past episodes on CNBC whenever you have time. Anyway, God bless and good luck

HI Mr. Banker-posting in between storms here. BTW-don't you worry about being struck by lightning in your cage in the clouds?

Anyway, HI Simona-how are you doing? Glad to see you posting and thanks for the shoutout.

Dearest Banker ,
I have calculated my odds of making Howie's Million Dollar Mission happen. I think your name is Sam Walton or something. I want to challenge you to a Mega Deal Spectacular game. I want a 100 % chance of winning one million dollars to leave Wal-Mart and spend more time with my family. The ladies you have should dress up like Shego on Kim Possible. If the models were dressed up like Kim Possible with black crop tops and brown pants that would be cool. You can offer me something other than money. I'm a single man from the small town of Ada Oklahoma and I would like a Kim Possible themed show with a concert and pizza party for the crowd. Have a good day Mr. Banker.

Mr. Banker, can you tell I'm working on another story----
one loaded with gaggy sweet sugar syrup.

I'll try not to get to sappy here and save it for the berries, but.....that means I'll have to get all my sarcasm out on the blog.

TTTT-You don't mind, Mr. Banker-right? I mean, that's close to your persona anyway, right?

Hi Bloggin Buds, I so wish we could post pics on these blogs! My friends gave me another early b-day gift. I have a one of a kind DOND charm bracelet. It has the Deal or no deal logo as one charm, a ladybug, LadyLuck, My suitcase Number 10, and Show me the money charm. When I get my camera back from a friend Dawn and Deb I will take a pic and email it to you. Im wearing it up until I get my call and of course the day I tape. Hope all is well with everyone. The weather is usual LA weather, my spirits are up, even though the company is closing and my friends and I are getting laid off, and yes Deb, Im STILL in a wedding fog...LOL I know God has a plan and things are working on my behalf behind the scene, in perfect time, my tape date will arrive. And all is well! Keeping the faith and in my head, counting the days like my pal Dawn...AND so Mr. Banker, those are just some of my thoughts, advice and insights about the world! =) TTFN xoxoxox LB

Good morning, Mr. Banker and fellow DOND FANatics! (hadn't said that one in a while)

Jan-glad to hear you are safe, and my thoughts and prayers go out to those that were not as lucky.

LB-you can easily tell you are still on the newlywed high! Ain't it great. After 13 years, hubby and I are still there (or is it just old age dizziness-hard to tell).

Dawn, hope you are finding some time to relax.

Dreamer Alive-hmmmm, what can I say to that one?!

Kim-you are the bestest (Mr. Banker-you should hear how she has helped a fellow blogger-such a nice nice person.)

Oh, Richard....where are you? No words of wisdom lately? Have you given up on Mr. Banker?

Tickle, hope all is well your way too.

Oh, Oscar, are you a new daddy yet? (Mr. Banker, do you have any kids?) I can't wait until my GBTB arrives.

Mr. Banker-do you have any GBs?

Posted by:dollydeb | May 28, 2008, 10:26 AM

dollydeb....I am ok up in MN, the storm was north of me. It was a sad, traggic day for many, the loss of a two year old is the hard part. Those storms are never easy, it has been a tough Spring all over. Also Michigan is the one state I haven't gotten to for dancing, been to Arizona, California, Florida, Ohio, Chicago, Wisconsin and Vegas. I can't really afford to go anywhere right now until I pay my bills off....would love to go to Frankinmuth (spelling), hope to get there in a few years.

I still hope the show calls me, however its such a long shot. My hope is that my polka theme is something they haven't done and it would be really fun. They have had every other theme....so still waiting!

Banker you need to eat right, get more rest and learn to appreciate the little things....like a good polka dance and great music.

Happy Tuesday to my DOND bloggin buds, Dawn, Deb and my new bud Leslie...another LB =) thanks for the kind note on my guest page. My LB stands for Ladybug, my childhood nick name =) Hope everyone had a wonderful 3day weekend. Im still kinda in a wedding fog. After two years of planning, and then its all over in a few hours, it just wasn't long enough. LOL everyother song I hear was in my wedding, my wedding gown preservation kit arrived at work today, and i just got a txt from the photographers that the pics are on the way. I am seriously stuck in a wedding fog. I asked my hubby could we do it again, cause I missed some stuff and he looked at me like I was on crack. Lmao...He told me if I needed something to plan, plan on taking all the bankers money so we could have a huge 1 yr anniversary party, in our new house. Sounds like the plan. 1 hr left at work, but after 3 days off, time is dragging. I swear this has been the longest day of my life! ok maybe not my life, but you get the point. Still happily anticipating my call, which I KNOW is coming soon, but Im trying to over develop my ability to have patience. As all my friends know too well about me, When the almighty was given out patience, I was shoppin for shoes at Nordstroms! Wasn't in the patience line AT All....Ok Im done bein silly. Im gonna get back to work and hit my buds up again later in the week. Sooner if U know who calls! Much love xoxoxoxo LB aka Lady

Hi,
The only way you're ever going to have a million dollar winner is by playing me with my
DEALACUS(c) board. The Dealacus uses probability to determine the outcome of selected numbers, allowing contestants to make better case choices.

HI Mr. Banker-well, this weekend turned out to be the best weather for a Memorial Day in a long time-at least here in West MI.

Jan-hope you are okay in your neck o' the woods-I have been thinking about my fellow mid-westies with this weird weather.

LB-I am honored to know a former air force person (thru the internet, anyway). I truly respect those that serve and protect. When I taught in VA, most of my students were children of Air Force parents (some Army, tho)-in Tidewater, VA-it's mostly military!

Dawn, hope you have been having better weather, too (and Kim, and Linda C, and Martha, and Peggy, and John and)

Mr. Banker-did you go to any parades today? And, why didn't you RSVP for my cookout??? hmmmmm?

Good morning Mr. Banker-well, I know you are probably having a cookout today-so not reading your posts (or your intern either, for that matter), but wanted to check in anyway.

It's absolutely GORGEOUS here today, ...

which reminds me-Eric (I think you're the one) asked if I'm always so cheery-a big NOPE to that one. I loathe snowstorms (go figure-I live in the MI snowbelt-but moved up here so hubby could spend some years with his family), and by the time the end of Feb rolls around, I am quite depressed, but....
The spring and summers are AWESOME up here-back to happy happy happy feet time.

....which reminds me, Jan-do you ever head to Southwest MI-it's Polka country here, too!..

....which reminds me, a big shoutout to the Mid-westies. With our high gas prices, I doubt we'll be heading east or west, AT LEAST until we ALL get the CALL!!

Anyway-Thanks, Eric-I'll tell hubby. We are retired Navy!

Nowwwwwww,......since it has been a bit more than a year since I found Mr. Banker's blog, how 'bout everyone reminding Mr. Banker WHY they want to be on DOND.

Since it's a long weekend, he will have lots of time to read the posts.

I will have to make changes as some of the "wishes and dreams" have been fulfilled, but more added.

So-how 'bout it folks-what dreams will be fulfilled WHEN you are on stage with Howie and Mr. Banker?

Posted by:dollydeb | May 24, 2008, 11:15 AM

Brenda, Brenda, Brenda, I'm so disappointed in you. You want to see the banker crush the dreams of players just like Marisa, the banker's personal friend, usually does? Don't you? Well Brenda, Nothing personal but you need to find a new place to blog because personally I don't care for the banker.

Until next time

1) Some of those are required by law.
2) You should be sneezing, you're a nut yourself!
3) Bad experience banker? 4) It promotes MANILINESS. Something you can benefit from.
5) What if you get a song in your head?
6) You like big butts and you cannot lie..
7) Alex Trebeck wants a word with you.
8) EW!
9) SICKO!
10) Will a pay raise shut you up?

Stop The Madness!

Stand up to the producers and tell them: No more "Milion Dollar Missions" or "Milion Dollar Madnessess", or else you will go to another show!

You must stand up to the producers' scheme of trying to give away millions.

We watch "DOND" because of you!

We love to see contestants walk away with chump change!

We hate seeing people walk away with six-figure amounts!

Love,
xoxoxoxoxoxo,

Good Morning Mister Banker,
I must say; your offers last night were amazingly a surprise. Though the facial wrinkle cream was naughty !
We enjoyed last nights episode very much !
Granny Model was a special idea, very touching Mister Banker.
Thanks to Howie for the idea of how many Millions Contestants can have a chance at during all the madness ! Great Show !

Hey now Banker, its PAM HOOKS again. Ready for your BANKING lesson? Let's discuss your 1st thought listed in "Banker Wisdom"(for all thats worth) since it hit home & all. And just let me say, allergies or not STAY AWAY FROM THE PEANUTS, 'cause they are somehow effecting your brain & thought process. LOL People & what they chose to do for a living makes the world go round. If you are reading this response, then obviously PAM HOOKS, the BANK TELLER, has caught your attention. Thats what wearing a name tag is alllll about. Being able to identify with who is servicing you(whether good or bad). If your service is good then you'll come back time & time again looking for that person(PAM HOOKS)to service you again. If your service is bad, on your way out, you'll be looking for that person's manager to tell your story just the same. Either way, its all about how you treat or are treated in a customer service environment. I love my BANK teller job because of all the wonderful people I meet, from all walks of life, who make the world go round. O, I see this may take some time,Banker, but I'll teach you STELLAR service if its the last thing I do. But for now, just remember, PAM "HOOKS"...('cause thats what I do)...Talk to you in the next lesson. O and huh, DID YOU LOOK AT MY TAPE YET? IT SHOULD BE IN THE PHILLY'S FINEST FILING...

Hi Nick, Dawn and Deb! Just wanted to say a quick hello and howdie do to my bloggin buds. Needed a break from the J.O.B. for a sec. Hope everyone is well. A quick bit of advice for new blogger Leslie Boxert...Most if not all of us here have applied for the show, some once, others twice and some maybe even more than that. Although your story sounds worthy of a shot, it was misplaced. Let me explain why... Banker does NOT decide who gets on the show. Nor does Nick the P.A. on the other blog. You have to apply and then its up to the Casting directors who even gets to meet with the producers who ultimately decides who gets on the show and when. It's not about your story. It's about your personality first, story second. Almost everyone has a story of some sort. I suggest going back to the home page, click the link that says casting and read what it says about applying. If you can not make a video, go to a casting call, or borrow a camera to record a video. This is absolutely the ONLY way you have a chance at getting on the show. Just thought you should know before you put yr personal business on a website full of strangers in attempt to get on the show. We are all routing for eachother here on the site, but most of us have already followed the process to actually have a shot at it really happening. I wish you well and hope this info helps.
Gotta get back to work now. TTFN to all my buds xoxoxox LB

Dearest Banker,

I would like to try my luck on Deal Or No Deal for a whole bucket load of reasons.
I’m going to outline a few of them for you now. ( I have no way to record a video)

I’ve had two cervical spine surgeries in the last 2 1/2 years. The first surgery was
unsuccessful, but that wasn’t figured out until over a year later, when I met the
Dr. who would prove to me that miracles are possible, and not only possible, but
they happen everyday, all the time.

As a result of the surgeries, I owe various southern California hospitals over
$40,000.

Another effect the surgeries had on me is what I call my “awakening.” It
happened one year after the first surgery, and to sum it up, it was the day I
realized that all living creatures are created equal, that all matter is made out of
energy, and that all you have to do to completely change your life for the better is
to change your perception. I had never realized that every thought we have is
made of energy, whether positive or negative, depending on the thought, and that
we are constantly sending these waves of energy out to the people we are thinking
of and the rest of the world. We create our reality with our thoughts. Once I
understood this, I was able to start monitoring what I thought about, and
whenever I caught myself thinking negatively, I just stopped and thought about a
happy memory. Doing this has helped me get off the anti-depressants that I’ve
taken since I turned 18. I have been able to stop taking my pain medication for my
neck, my sleeping pill and anti- anxiety meds. When I start dwelling on the
physical pain, I stop myself and repeat my mantra, “I AM Happy, I AM Healthy, I
AM Pain-Free.” And it works, Mr. Banker.

If I won $1,000,000 on Deal or No Deal, (or any other amount) I would use the
money to pay off my bills, buy all of my friends new or used cars, help the friends
who have kids to move out of their parents’ homes, help my parents pay off their
multiple mortgages, buy a meal for every homeless person I see on the street for
the rest of my life, start a few non-profit organizations for orphans and stray
animals, and travel around the world to help anyone who is less fortunate than I.
I want to join C.C.S ( Cross Cultural Solutions) as a volunteer, and if I won
enough, I’d be able to take anyone who would like to join me in helping others.
( The fee for being a volunteer is over $2500 for two weeks)

While I wait to be called to be on the show, I’ll continue working on the site I just
started called ARK (Acts of Random Kindness). It’s only been going for a week,
but I’ve had very positive feedback so far. I’ve noticed that many people are
starting to feel the way I do; that we aren’t helpless or hopeless, there is a way to
change ourselves AND make a difference in the lives of others, and it isn’t so hard
as we once thought.

The web address is www.myspace.com/lesliesARK

Mr. Banker, I feel better, sleep better, and am happier than I can ever remember
being. I’ve lost a lot of loved ones, (including my Grandmother, my dads mom,
who just passed a month ago after a long life of suffering), I’ve endured three
major car accidents, two major surgeries, depression, and pain of every kind, but
it hasn’t killed me, it’s made me stronger. The same is true for every other human
being on earth. We must endure the pain and struggle, and whatever doesn’t kill
us HAS to make us stronger. I want to spread that knowledge around the globe. I
also want to spread the message of peace and unconditional Love for all. Will you
help me?

Very Sincerely and with lots of Love,

Leslie Anne Boxert

P.S.

I would also like to tell you that I have nothing but love for you. Whatever
amount of money you offer me, it’ll be more than anyone has ever offered me
before or ever will again. How could anyone not love the Banker?

WOW, what a fast response Marsha just 28-min.'s away.
Ha, must have ESP, I knew you'd unleash wrath toward the Banker's Wisdom. (SMILING) I certainly think Ole Mister Banker loves negative energy. Talk'in about jump'in out of the fry'in pan again into the fire. :)
Let's guess,
next comment from Mister Banker will be: Your all pick'in on me again. I'm tired of being ripped apart.
Mister Banker, I'm Concerned, please tell us you've not ate poor ole Bella on a silver platter ?

oh PLease Mr Banker,
You Surely have NOT BEEN RAISED UP RIGHT
If your momma raised you up to believe this then you have surely been descieveed what life is all about
I feel sory for you
MONEY DOES BUY HAPPINESS ONLY IF YOU ARE ALREADY RICH WITH LOVE !!!
Find your love Mr banker.
LOve of MONEy does not make one persons life fulfilled
When your old and grey you will look back in life just like Adam sandler on the movie CLICK and realize you missed out on the best parts of life...in exchange for money.

Hello Mister Banker Sir !!!!
( I see you've poured gas on the fire again, your going to get burned. )

Hello Eric,
I guess the episode of the female pig farmer remains the most mindful (Heather McKee). Even though she only went home with a cent, she held a wonderful disposition. Plus, Howie wearing those 2-pig tails, along with the live pig's & all & the Banker smashing the piggy bank, as a whole in one episode it was very entertaining I thought.
Also, the episode where Donald Trump filled in as Guest Banker, though the female contestant pushed her luck, he as Banker at least contributed to her son in the end.
I enjoy most the episodes with change within them, not appearing same-o, same-o.

Another is, the female contestant living in with her parents and the Banker having several go to their house (within the offer) packing her belongings, when she declined they dumped her things into the floor. Personally, I enjoyed it greatly because of her attitude to begin with. Sorry, but I did enjoy that episode !

Concerning the Banker's Wisdom, I'm awaiting & allowing Marsha, Marsha, Marsha to comment on this one ! ( SMILE)

Mister Banker your due for a camping trip alone enjoying peace of mind, campfire, nature, bug's, etc. It's good for the mind, body & spirit ! ( Your Wisdom has become bitter.) Let's not take it out on upcoming contestants now. Yes, sunshine is what you need, your in the office within your thrown way to much ! COME ON DOWN, to the contestants level Sir.

Mr. Banker:
#9 response...I once had a bullfrog who could talk. But he lied a lot, so I cut his legs off, fried and ate them (taste like chicken), and sent him packing. So I guess that you're right.

HI Mr. Banker and fellow bloggers-busy day today, so I'll be quick (yeah, right-if that could ever happen)

Anyway-Eric, it's a tough call, but I guess my favorite shows from this season have been the following: (in no particular order)
1. The episode with Ashlee Mundy in October-being a fellow cancer survivor, my heart goes out to all that have been effected by it.

2. Joshua Akuna-the guy that took the comic book deal. Anyone that chooses to follow a dream instead of a dollar is alright by me!

3. The episode with Ellen-she's one of my favorite comedians and brought some extra fun to the show.

4. Joe Kobes-being retired military, I know what military families go thru. I have a lot of respect for those serving.

5. the episode where ALL of the faithful bloggers get to have a party on Howie's stage and poke fun at Mr. Banker all at the same time! Hey, a seat in the audience for that one would be awesome, too!

...I'm sure there are more, but can't think right now.

Well, well banker you have again risen from the black hole you call your bank....I think you've been in the dark too long, a little sunshine would do you some good.

Hi to all, I've only been ready the blogs lately. I still know someday I will be on the show doing the polka for everyone.....so have a very happy polka day! POLKA ON!!!!!

To you banker, have a good day.

Hello friends

This is Eric again and I hope everyone is ready for the multi-million madness on DOND. Let's keep the faith folks. Anything can happen in these last episodes of the season and I hope DOND has a winner by season's end.

Until next time
Eric

P.S. Dollydeb, mitchell, dawn mays, What are some good things about Season 3? I look forward to your responses.

Oh, and one more thing....

Banker WISDOM???....
talk about your oxymoron!!!!!

(hey, I've been painting the house all afternoon-blame it on the fumes.)

HI Mr. Banker, so glad you finally posted again.

Now, as to your comments. Here's my input...

1. Sorry, I DO wear a name tag at work. pretty sad since I work from my home, but hey, otherwise I'd forget who I am.

2. I have absolutely NO peanut allergies, and I'm still a weakleen.

3. I agree-marriage IS bad business, unless you are a divorce lawyer-they're they only ones that end up with any $$$ when it's all said and done.

4. Hmmmm, maybe they think it's NOT acting.

5. I disagree-lots of fun when you whistle---either for the pure joy of it, or to drive hubby bonkers. Either way-lots of fun.
Now, here's a fun whistle trick....have a friend whistle the same note at the same time you whistle a note just slightly above theirs-the effect is awesome!

6. ??????? Why are you looking at other guy's fannies anyway.....!!!

7. okay-I agree with you on that one. Is that why you hide in the dark? so the audience won't see YOUR handlebar mustache?

8. Now, Mr. Banker--- does that mean you want them to stay INSIDE the bathroom, or simply go outside. Either way-not a good idea.

9. Does that mean Bella needs to go on a kitty diet?

10. I'm with both LB and Dawn on this one....

Banker, you are funny! And a pro at pushin people's buttons. I agree with only one of those...# 10, but with 1 major caveat..Money can buy happiness ONLY IF you are Already a Happy person! Money simply gives one more choices, in all areas of your life, and more freedom. It applifies your character. If you are happy, kind, generous, and centered spiritually, money will only enable you to accentuate those qualities. If you are mean SOB, with questionable morals, stingy, rude, selfish, and unethical, then having lots of money will simply accentuate those qualities of your character. No one can convince me that living a life absent of the worries and stress caused by a Lack of money, would make you a happier person is simply Naive and misinformed. Trust Banker, Im taking ALL the money, when we finally meet, and I have a feeling you wont be to mad about it either. But you could surprise me. TTFN my bloggin buds! LB

Mr. Banker

Oh, Please Mr. Banker, now all your thoughts , advise, insights about the world Can't be the way you really feel.
Number Ten, Money can Buy Happiness.I don't agree. Money can buy expensive Things, Fancy houses, Alot of Bling Bling, But happiness is within each of us, and my happiness is Family, and Friends and If I had Lots of Money I would'nt be any more happier with my family friends husband ect,It would just be that I could aford to help my family more and make life easier , vacation alittle more, But Happiness I already have. I just want to make life easier for my family buy helping them with thier bills.
Number Three, Now, you sound like my husbands Twin brother!

Mr. Banker I need to meet you, cause I bet, you are a very nice attractive man, whom is married and has sweet children.

Hopefuly I will be on the show soon ( put in a good word for me) I want my twin and my husband and his twin also on the show with me.
You and my Brother-in-law sounds like your twin brother not my husbands twin, you will like him.
Now my twin sister Between her and I we will give you fits but, we will be goood entertainment..

Banker I like you, You may not know me and I really don't know you ,but I happen to have a good feeling about you, and I think you just want to have people think that you are mean, rude, not caring, But you do care and you do have feeling.
