Rarely do I ever feel humbled. But I've finally come across someone who makes even a man as important as myself feel small.
I'm talking about true American hero, Army Captain Joe Kobes, who appeared on last night's show and won $78,000. While I'm never happy to see a contestant leave with my money, I can honestly say there isn't a more deserving player than Captain Joe Kobes, who has put his life on the line in Iraq to defend our freedoms.
Thank you Captain Joe Kobes for your bravery.

Dolly oops sorry I mistaked whos B-day it was but yes Happy Bday to hubby.
LB I havent got to talk with you much but i am sure your wedding was one of a kind and memories that wil last forever.
MR BANKER> I do have to admit I Like your set up better YEs the CAEG would fit you just as well but i think i like knowing your at your laptop making calculations.
As for the last contestant He won 71,000 BUt his case had the 200k in it . The more i think about this game show i am not so sure i would have the guts either to go all the way. ONce the million is off the board it really is a scary thought of walking away with too little.
Who knows I would not of stopped if I was the first contestant he had too many life lines and 500k and 750 k on the board still are good odds in the contestants favor.
Great Day to you ALL!!!!!

Banker,
I can't imagine how wonderful it was for the contestant's and their families to travel to a place they probably would never get to. That alone would make someone a winner!
I like that the banker in the show wasn't sitting at a desk all the time. And since I love to dance, the way the ladies came out really added to the excitement! It was a fun show.
Now I was thinking Germany and polka music. How much better then that? Howie's lederhosen would fit right in. Germany is well known for polka fests, and there is a band from America that goes there a lot. The band is Peter and Paul Wendinger Band, here is their website: http://www.wendingerbandtravel.com/. What Fun!
I wait for your call with utmost excitement.
Have a great week everyone.

Good morning, Mr. Banker-did you watch the show last night? I LOVE the idea of having you in a cage-kinda appropriate since you often attack the contestants.
It's a shame the first contestant took the deal-he still walked away with a nice winning, but I would have gone one more round (given the board setup). I missed the end of the second one-what did he win?
Well, time to grab the ole' broom and head downtown.
....Nope, not for flying this time. It's time to "Sweep the streets" Dutch style! Even the mayor gets into the act.

Must have been that sun mars conjunction that threw me off...
The Sun conjunct Mars gives you a sense of power in asserting your will. You do not feel that you have to compromise in your dealings with anyone. Since you project your will so forcefully and with undeniable intensity, your presence may unintentionally threaten less hardy individuals. It is difficult to determine whether you are driven by egocentricity or merely by having energy to spare. In any case, you respond quickly to competition and use every skill at your command to win.
You have enormous creative ability and can excel in any leadership capacity. You tend to be uncompromising with people whose opinions differ from yours, and you are blunt in reprimanding them for it.

Ah, I see. That answers a lot of questions. I have to say, from what I've seen, you've done some very accurate representations of celebrities. Nice work.
As for me, I'm a journalism student in Montreal, Canada. Yes, just like Howie Mandel - he's actually a distant quasi-relative of mine (his wife is a distant cousin on my mom's side of the family) - I too am a Canuck. Betcha didn't know that. I also work for a small radio station here, where I serve as their community reporter. And I have a blog as well. If any of you would like to read it, just click on my name, and you'll be taken to it. I plan to post some of my (often harsh) opinions of DoND there very soon.
That's all for now. Hope to hear from y'all soon. And please, join us at www.dond.co.uk for some great DoND discussions. I'm one of the moderators of the US boards.
I remain,

HI Mr. Banker and fellow bloggers!
Case 27, yup, I have two wonderful kids-both grown and on their own. One is a professional stonecarver (he even did work in the WWII Memorial and all the lettering on the 9-11 Memorial inside the Pentagon-the one that is part of the actual building that was hit). He also discovered a rare whale fossil after hurricane Isabel (was on CNN for that find-the fossil is part of a permanent collection in Solomon's Island, MD.) and he got to name it.
My other son is putting himself thru college, into bike races, and quite involved in smart urban design. He is on his way to a great future, too.
Now, about the "scary" doll videos
-dolls are where I earn my income-writing stories about them and designing for them. Google doll conventions and you will see they are big business! (over 400,000 links)
Mr. Banker-what do you think about this?
Oh, and Mr. Banker-will you be part of the world DOND tour as well?

Well, I guess that's all for now. See y'all soon.

Mr. Banker,
I just wanted to take the time that I finally had from my busy work schedule to compliment your staff there on how courteous and couth they were when holding auditions in Pittsburgh to take you on in Hollywood someday. They were very helpful and kind, plus I was very happy about making it through the audition rounds. I am taking it as a good sign to be on the show, even if it is the daytime syndicated version that is being produced for the fall. I am aiming for the primetime version. Yes, $250,000 does help out, but the crack at $1,000,000 is so much more intriguing to me. please do pass on the message. and Cheers from the steel city. May your games be plentiful of challenges, I hope to be one of those challenges someday.

Good morning, Mr. Banker!
Just like Eric, I am excited about the world tour. I have friends from South Africa and really want to see that episode-a lovely part of the world that truly needs our help, too.
I hope the Powers-that-be provided aid to the locals before all the cases were packed up.
BTW-what happened to the followup on Arthur Joseph's remodeling of the basketball court in Trinidad? Did I miss it? (as the sunshine shirt masco says-"Donating is nice.")
Marsha-happy early birthday. I'll mark my calendar for sure.
Dawn-keep countin' the days.
Case 27-where are you?
Tulip Time kickoff is tomorrow, and, as usual, Mother Nature's fireworks will put a damper (no pun intended) on the town's own fireworks.
So-Jan, Mr. Banker, well EVERYONE, grab a pair of Klompen shoes and meet me in Centennial Park, 7ish!
Up here in Holland we sure decorate reallllll pur-TE for the holidays and festivals.

Okay, Mr. Banker...
I have learned my lesson-don't unplug the cable from the TV while DOND is on. Car tipping-pretty cruel. (thanks, Martha, for filling me in-seeeeee, Mr. Banker, altho we may not post all the time, we are still here with you in spirit)
I bet it wasn't really his car, tho, sorta like the piggy bank from last winter.
....I'll go stand in the corner now and do my penance for missing that stunt.
Mr. Banker, can I please borrow your DUNCE cap?

Hi Mr. Banker!
Richard-I missed something with the gladiators. I guess I should pay more attention to the set. I've been practicing watching a snowfilled screen to get ready for Feb 2009. (actually, we have cable, but my MIL doesn't and I'm going for the empathy lesson here).
Eric-it's true, maybe err on the side of caution, depending upon the board setup. It's all a numbers game-clearly, if I had $25 and $500,000, I'd take the deal; the risk would be too high.
Marsha-I second Tickle's question, when is your b-day?
I am so sorry that I missed both Jan's and Martha's in April. I usually send a nice birthday greeting from Howie Jr, but have been so swamped with work lately. (with hubby's new business venture he has been cracking the whip hmmmm, should I include a Devo song?) Things will slow down at the end of May.
Mr. Banker-since you truly seem to work BANKER'S hours, you surely must have time for another blog post.
And, since my DIL is a banker (and Kim, too-in a manner of speaking), I feel I can say that.
Mr. Banker-could you please Post another Post? Or at least Log another Kellogg? Time for me to Mill some more coffee, otherwise General Hubby will send in the troops.
(okay, I know, lame comments, but number crunching all day yesterday made me loopy)

Hello again Mr. Stay in the little room and not letting me see who you really are. This comment is actually for Eric but in a way helping you as well.
Eric! Do not post something like that on the banker's blog! He wants them to go away with little money! Watch it or he is going to insult you. Besides, one of the best ways of getting the million in your case is by picking or avoiding cases 3 and 13.
Then again Mr.Banker go ahead and insult him. You're getting paid for it anyway right? Just don't be to hard on him, okay? He is just trying to help. Really he seems like a nice guy.

Hello friends,
This is Eric again and I'm sorry I haven't posted a blog lately. I've been busy with work and stuff. I want to say something to my fellow DOND bloggers and by the time you read my posting, you will either not care for me or support me.
Deal or no Deal, since its debut in 2005, has not had a millionaire and I hear people say its essential to the show. However, when some contestants like Anteia Greer, Wayne Ramos, and some of the past big winners on the show hit the million dollar case and it's not in the case the contestants chose as their lucky case, people think it's all doom and gloom. Here's the way I look at it. You can either let it eat you alive and you can cry and get all frustrated but if you do that, it takes away your focus and you end up making a bad deal or end up winning less money. On the other hand, you can shake it off and think positive thoughts that you can big money without the million, that is if you keep the rest of the big amounts in play. That's my side of winning.
Until next time
Eric
P.S. May is tomorrow and hopefully May will bring good luck to Deal or no Deal

Hey Banker, you said you read every posting, so I've got a random question for you to answer. If you get sick do you have someone to fill in for you? (I'm willing to take a part-time job.) Second of all, you better be nice when the Gladiators come because they could probably beat you up easily. No, I take that back, the couldn't probably beat you up, they could. Who knows, you might actually be buff, but too bad you don't ever show yourself. And last, but not least, I do like your blog better than Nick's. It's pretty funny to watch some negative ned say every week why someone didn't deserve the money they rightfully earned. (If you call guessing random cases 'earning') Happy early May Day everyone.

Well tomorrow is May so won't be long before the banker shows up again...seems to come on once or twice a month.
HAPPY MAY BASKET DAY! For those that remember what we used to do on that day! It used to be so fun....
I have been trying to get out side as much as possible, however Minnesota is not cooperating. We have one good day and 5-6 bad ones.
I am also still waiting for the big Polka bash on DOND...wouldn't it be fun! I so desperately want to get on, my mom is getting up there and we have to move her and none of us can afford to help her, however the house she is in, she just can't live there anymore by herself. She loves polka music too and I know she would love to watch me on TV knowing I'm there trying to help her, my son, and trying to get my grandson to Disneyland (the only one of the 4 grandkids that haven't gone). He is also the only one that hasn't flown, would be so cool to be there with him when he does.
I'm still very happy to have had a second audition with DOND, it was really fun, however I still know I will get the call, I truly feel it.
Good luck to the rest of you too, we are all true fans of the show.
Banker .... POLKA ON!
And I am waiting....and waiting.

Hello Marsha,
I've been taking advantage of the weather doing home repairs to my family's home, odds & ends. Also, my youngest daughters birthday is on May 14th, she'll be 8 yrs old. I've been also converting a used ole guitar into a birdhouse for one of her gifts. She's ask for a year what I was planning on doing with it since I retrieved it from someones trash. So I've beautified it into a wonderful artistic piece !
Speaking of birthdays, I thought when you posted concerning Dawns birthday it had to do with the site. Yea, I've been laying low from posting comments lately, however I yet stop from time to time & read others comments.
By the way Marsha, when is your birthday ?? Just curious.
I really enjoyed the last 2- hrs of DOND aired, cannot wait for this evenings episodes !! Already wondering what the Banker has in store, or whether, or not he has something up his sleeve, (ha, ha.
Howie is a great Host, but I yet think & feel the Banker makes the show go onward being the trickster his role plays !! Really makes one stop & wonder just what he'd do if you, or I was contestant. It's very entertaining taking note of.
Well, take care MarshaMarshaMarsha, hold down the fort, your business.
Mitchell

Hi Mr. Banker and fellow bloggers!
Mr. Banker-I must admit-since you posted THREE new blog posts in a week's time, we have become quite spoiled here. Guess you set the tone and we want MORE.
So...when is your next entry going to be posted? Please don't wait too long.

HI Mr. Banker and fellow bloggers-
Dawn, I love the idea of the twin theme. I saw pics of both of you and you'd be great on stage!
Marsha-Dawn's b-day is in the fall, I had to find something quick to celebrate her one year of counting the days. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that, but either way...
A great reason to throw a DOND party!
Jan, you bring the polka music, I'll bring the clogging music and we'll ALL have Mr. Banker dancing so hard that he won't even notice when we walk away with his million dollar case.
LB-happy honeymoon to you and your new hubby! We miss you.
We miss Kim. We miss Martha. We miss Linda C. We miss Shelley and Midgie. We miss Erica C. We miss Truckergirl. We miss Judyx3. We miss Skydiving Granny. We miss Angela K. We miss Oscar R. We miss Peggy L. We miss John. We miss....
Oh, we miss everyone who isn't posting lately!
(I know I probably forgot someone-sorry for that, too)
BTW-hubby's birthday is Sunday- he's 54 on 5-4-54! Talk about numerology!

Mr. Banker
Now, that everyone has mention to you about show Ideas I have one. Ready ?
Twins, you put me and my twin sister and my husband and his twin brother on t.v and that is entertainment.
I like the twin theme, I have a thing with two's, call me crazy but this is how my story goes:
At 18 I marry a twin.
I only have 1 child,
when she turns 4 I file for Divorce.
Two years later I remarry and it is to another twin.
at 24yrs old I have 1 more child.
My daughter has my 1st grandchild when she is 22.
My son is now 16 and started driving today.
See everything can be devided by 2. Can anyone guess what my Brief case # will be???
My husband does not care what theme show I get the call for he and my son are tired of my counting the days today being 365! and I am driving them crazy on which case I will pick and they are tired of me counting, and I can't for get my happy dance and my favorite shoe I like to wear, Does anyone out there know? if you have read Nicks blog and the Bankers blog this past yr you would know. Give up? I will tell you Birkenstocks!!!!!!!!
okay I have rambled on long enough I will chat after the 2 hour special Tomorrow!
DETERMINED AND PERSISTENT
to be the next
DEAL OR NO DEAL STAR
