Ever since I started watching Deal Or No Deal, I have stopped watching every other game show, because like most people, I get into it so much, I can't stop. I guess you could say it's more addictive than smoking. The difference?

I think I've figured out some of this "Third Party"'s formula... they usually have the $1,000,000 in cases 1, 7, or 13, case 18 always has a small amount, they try putting a low amount in 17, because 17 is most picked to be the kept case, and they always put $750 right next to $750,000.

When I first heard about the $5,000,000 season finale, I thought the board was going to have $1,000,000; $2,000,000; $3,000,000; $4,000,000; $5,000,000.

I enjoy your show but I'm not to thrilled on some of the choices of contestants. They need to be more down to Earth like farmers, nurses aide (like myself)or someone who really needs the money. When I watch the show its more like people with good jobs so they already have money. You need a variety of people's incomes not just their job discription. That's what I've seen so far. I enjoy your show and see that some people get greedy which you want them to do so they lose most of the money. I always said if I win the amount equal to five years that is good enough for me. Here's a suggestion that might spice up the game: At different points of the game, you could offer the contestant three options...1. Deal (take the money offered by the banker)...2. Rather than being rude like so many of your viewers and bloggers, I have a suggestion to improve the show: Have the contestants give the reason why they choose the case number that they believe contains the $1 million! It will add more interest to the game and take maybe 15-20 seconds more time!

Banker - to what extent do you do background checks on contestants and its effect on your offers? It would seem to me, all other factors being equal, that your offers would be different to, for example: (a) an individual might be indebted to a guy named Guido for outstanding, overdue gambling debts, vs. (b) someone is financially (semi) secure, a game theorist, etc., vs. (c) an average stupid, greedy person.

The banker's offer is always much lower than what the 'expected amount' is in the player's case. As he/she first picks a case the value is $131,472. That is by dividing total of all the amounts ($3,416,000, ignoring $.01) by 26.

So to calculate the 'fair amount' of the banker's offer, keep on subtracting the amounts in the cases that opened and dividing the balance by remaining number of unopened cases.

Dude, your awesome! I enjoy watching the show, even though I think it's pretty easy since all you really need to master it is some background of probability,
and maybe a statistical analysis that can easily be found on the web. Still, I love listening to your attitude through Howie, letting yourself be known

This show is Great! I saw Howie Mandel at Westbury Music Fair years ago and have been a fan before and after that. Banker, your a good guy too, keep crunching those numbers, and keep the fun going!
