In all honesty I have to agree with the banker on this one. If I was lucky enough to be selected for a game show, I would take anything over $50,000 and call it a day. My opinion: There has been a program written that compulates the probability and gives you options off offers. You then choose the best option that fits the personality bidding. Depending on thier income, you decide which bid to offer, those less fortunate are offered lower figures because they are moe enticing when it doubles thier annual income. You are a cold person.

I think the banker kepts the contests on their toes and makes them brake sometimes, I love the show Howie is the greatest. However I have a problem with the home suitcase game, I think that if you don't have a cell phone they don't pick your name,several times I have guessed the right case number but no luck on my phone ringing, however I do pay for internet service which is the only way I can play the game. Some things lead me to believe the whole show is scripted and contrived and the contestants and their families are actors.
my reasons being:
When the guy earlier tonite asked the girl to marry him, did you notice how perfectly he held the box so everyone could see it was from "Kay Jewelers"
Average people don't have the experience to perfectly position a product for the camera without getting in the way.
The contestant is usually fairly attractive and a little too well dressed wearing the most flattering thing possible in his/her best colors along with
their families dressed to match who are also a bit too well behaved and perfect and never show the appropriate amount of emotion
that would naturally go along with dealing with that amount of money.

Then again maybe I am completely wrong, and casting just does a great job
in finding the "ideal" family of risk takers, dressed to the 9's by a talented
an excellent makeup and wardrobe department making them all a pleasue to
look at without taking any attention away from the focus of a very entertaining show.

Well that is my conspiracy theory for the day, have a great one:)

My wife and I watch often on the off chance that some young couple may win a large sum.

If anyone thinks there is any skill, logic, intellegence to playing this game they are very wrong.

This is the dumbest game, winning is pure luck.

Now, if there was some pattern in the way the amounts were placed and the player could discover the pattern to win then, yes, intellegent thought would be involved. Uncover the pattern and win big money.

Otherwise, the only possible way someone could win was if they watched every show and collected the position of every amount over a rather long period of time. Then used a computer to analyze the data, searching for recurrances in the placement of the numbers. Then somehow get themselves on the show and somehow get selected to go up on stage etc, etc, etc...

How did you feel when Howie (who is a perfect host for the show and obviously a great guy) indicated to the player that if he chose anything but the million dollar case to be opened that the bank offer would go up? Personally, if I was "banker" I would have added a dollar to the previous offer to cover Howie's mistake. You on the other hand, made an offer about $20k less. You could just feel the awkwardness for the rest of the show and the dread on the contestant's face. I see it as a banker error rather than a host error because consequence could have been avoided at offer time. It all worked out in the end thank god. There could have been lawsuits if not though I think.

I think all calculations are based on statistics and probabilities to the penny, but after all it is a good show and I think a lot agree that it is a change from the classical type and to keep this it needs to be always a little spice.

Well, you do bring an amusing aspect to the show but as far as being smarter then everyone....
Really you're just excess baggage because the deals are all calculated by a computer and
is proven by how the deal amount comes up after someone has made their deal and Howie is going
through the exercise to see how they would have done. No way would NBC leave something
like determining what the deal amount should be to a bean counter, nope you just tell Howie
what the amount is on the screen that the program displays after you key in the amounts that
have been knocked off the board.
So in reality you're a keypunching Vanna White without a face!!! Yesssss, I love talking to
bankers that way....... woo-hoo lol

gives a chance to have less drop, especially if there are only two or less small numbers.

I think the show is great and it really gets the home audience involved. The offers that are personalized for the contestants are truly the best. It lends credibility to the real-time, non-predetermined aspect of the show. For instance, adding the pony in the offer to the dad whose daughter wanted the pony...what a way to go for the throat! It's harder to NOT make the deal when the offer is exactly what you were hoping for. A truck, a house, a vacation, a honeymoon...etc. That's the way to get to them. Instant gratification is harder to pass up. The contestants are more likely to go for the offers that appeal directly to their unique desires. Make more offers like that and see what happens! Thanks for the entertainment and making so many people happy!

Why bother offering people money after the initial 6 cases? I mean, they're not gonna take the deal.
I think you are fictious and just a shadowy figure. When someone takes the deal and they show what the bank's offers would have been,
how do you compute that fast? They showed that the bank offer when there was a 200,000 case and the million would have been 660,000.
You don't have to offer that much. Just do 600,000. Either they're crazy and don't take the deal or they are gonna play it safe
and an extra 60,000 isn't gonna influence their decision. By the way, do you tell the host when to go to commercial?

the sum of the unopened cases divided by the number of unopened cases, more or less? Now that would

I love the show, my mom started me on it. Howie is fun and I don't think you really exist in the show. I think you are there to throw everyone off and Howie is not getting any information on the phone from anyone. Good acting.

We love the show! Even my 7 year old is on the seat yelling what case to pick next. And we play the play at home game every time it is on! One of these days we will be luck enough to have our name pulled out! Good Lord willing anyway! She is also a pageant girl so we want to say congrats to case girl #4 since she is from our area! If anyone has ever bartered with general manager at a car dealership or had their fate decided by a
bank loan officer then they probably have strong negative emotions for the person on the other end. The show I think invokes
the same rivalry. The banker is their to ensure the bank gets the most with the least amount of expense; pretty similar huh!

I Banker plays on emotions like poor dad who hadn't seen his daughters in a long time and the show brought them on...cheap shot! He folded quick. That is the reason the show brings in "ringers" family members who will sway the player in his thoughts. I like Howie he is very good. I like switching up the models with others.

I am always glued to my TV when Deal/No Deal is on. I think the banker's nicer than he pretends to be. I loved when the pony was given as a prize to the contestant's daughter. I love this show i watch it every week. Howie is great, the models are beautiful and the banker, well....the banker is ina class by himself. I think your mystery and mystique are part of your charm.
You thrive on peoples greed and there is nothing wrong with that, but you are also fair with(most) of your offers.

I really like how you determine the prices from what a player has left on the board. Good Job! Keep doing a great job and keep the show running for a long time.

No one will ever win $1 million on this show. Think about it. If they have $1 mil. in their case,
and it's down to that amount and a low amount, they'd be CRAZY not to take the deal.
The ONLY way I see someone getting it, is if they have like $1 mil. and $400,000 or more left
and they just go for it. Plus, I don't think the banker is "playing" these contestants.
It's a simple math equation for the deal amounts. Punch it in your computer and tell Howie on the phone. That's all. The banker could be anyone, any tech or lighting guy can do that!

I think that you personally are a little cheap sometimes and never cut anyone any slack.

I really do enjoy the show so much. I wish it was here close to us so that I could participate. We really could use a change of luck as my wife and I have had to struggle all of our 28 year so of marriage. We have had medical bills since day one. I have son that is trying to go to college as his dream all his life is to be on broadway on day and also to be in movies. We are trying to pay for his college and we are struggling. Our daughters had wanted to go but they knew we did not have the money to do this. We have also lived in a mobile home that is now 22 years old and needs much work. My wifes dream has always been to own a home. I am disabled do to a 16 year old that hit us head on and she had to go back to work in 1989. Our lives were turned around. Howie I really enjoy you so much and you make the show.

This show is great. We enjoy Howie Mandel, he is a perfect host for the show. Trying strategy is not the trick, we feel that it is just what your gut tells you. My husband and I feel that some of the contestants get too greedy and lose out on a bundle of money. Keep the show going!

My family LOVES this show except we get bored with the faux drama of the contestants. The flight attendant who uses her "flight attendant pointing" EVERY time she wants a case opened - the banker who carries her briefcase on stage. JUST PLAY THE GAME. Once the cases are closed, it's just luck of the draw, there is no way to effect the outcome. Begging models for small numbers is pointless, they are what they are. It makes no difference if the contestant wants to buy a pony for their child or spend it all on booze! JUST PLAY THE GAME and leave all the theatrics out, PLEASE. And why the contestants take the banker's offers personally is ridiculous. The banker's offers are based on statistics. Howie is great fun in this show.
