I'm from Ireland, and the english version of Deal or No Deal has been a hit. Unlike the American setup with aestheticaly pleasing bimbo's revealing the sums, the English version relies on friendships and a group togetherness that is truly nauseating. The premise couldn't be more simple, but having to watch Noel Edmonds speak about the Banker's respect for them as a 'strong player' is utterly redundant if nothing else. The boxes are pre-setermined, and all this mysticism that the presenter tries to evoke is cringeworthy. You cannot possbly be a weak or a strong player, conviniently ignored by the presenter in an effort to add another dimension to opening boxes arbitrary. You either take the offer, or keep going, depending on the way the board looks. THERE IS NO STRATEGY! jesus...

Ya know, you might get more people to take the deals earlier if you did not low-ball them on the pay out rate. Too bad the offers are more arbitrary than actually following the statistical payout.

Deal or no Deal absolutely has blown away the competition. Other shows that I have been addicted to like a jones town junkie, if fall prey to the same viewing time slot are discarded like yesterdays news. Deal OR NO DEAL is the bomb! Howie Mandel is an excellent choice for host as well as the incredibly beautiful eye candy holding the cases.

I love this show i watch it every time its on and even i try to win 10,000 dollars on the lucky case winner. I loved the episode were u offered the 17,000 and the yellow 2006 hummer that was sweet!!!
