Deal or No Deal2-Hour Season Premiere Monday, Sept. 18 8/7c
CURRENT ENTRY
March 27, 2006
I thought the people who come on the show were the ones who were a few fries short of a Happy Meal...

Turns out the viewers are, too.

Animatronics???  Duh.

I am a living, breathing person whose job is way harder than Vanna's.   I am an expert in the fields of psychology, risk-assessment, and economics.  What I do is very demanding.  Do you think it's easy?

I have to spend hours at a time toying with peoples' lives, eating donuts from the craft service table, and hanging out outside the models' dressing room.

How you like me, now!

I have to admit, I am a banker fan, but an even BIGGER fan of Howie. I really can't wait for the show to be on again on 9/18/06. The banker was roadkill on that episode where her case only had 750 $$ but she took the 69k. Sorry banker, but I had to speak the truth. :(

Never mind if he's one of the producers or executives, this guy is so cool. He gets to screw with peoples mind and they're dumb enough to sit there and let him. He offers them money and they are too greedy to take it. they want to go for the million when they know they're chances are better off to take the offer. Keep up the good work Banker dude I will never miss an show.

Posted by:keith | April 21, 2006, 08:36 PM

I figure you are one of the producers, like the executive, because they are the ones backing shows. You know where the money is coming from and you want to know where it goes. Have a good one.

hello

Posted by:kijkhy | April 17, 2006, 05:16 PM

The show is about people's greed but it can be fun to watch. It really is a "no think um" show. I just sit and chuckle because I know if I was there, someone would have to drag me to the stage and if I were able to speak I would take the first offer just to get off the stage. Any excuse would do really. My mind would be a complete blank. Hubby loves watching human nature in action so he really likes the show.

Posted by:The crazy grandma | April 12, 2006, 08:25 PM

I love the banker, but last night when that older lady was playing, and she answered the phone, at least you could have been nice to her. Howie asked if you were nice, she said no. I hope that is not your regular demeaner. i was disapointed. It was her 50th Anniversary. But she did walk away with a large amount. enough to take her husband to Ireland.

Posted by:alana | April 06, 2006, 08:37 PM

Love the show, been hooked since the first episode. I have a couple questions for you,

1. Where can I buy the phone from the show?

2. What happened to Leyla? Bring her back!

Posted by:Dave | April 06, 2006, 01:02 PM

While I've been bought up on the UK version, from what I've seen this version certainly deserves its success.

The way you've played the game has generally been pretty good... some of the offers have been odd, but so far they've mostly been justified. You seem to play the odds pretty well, whereas our Banker is much better at playing psychological games (and ends up doing so to the detriment of the mathematical core of the game). Adding a pony to the offer was fantastic, had an effect far greater than its monetary value in enforcing a deal and was therefore very effective.

I think certainly players have been rather variable in how they've played the game, with the trend being towards taking gambles that aren't unreasonable but that I might not take myself. And I suppose it's not so entertaining if people were to walk at the third offer with eleven on the board.

Posted by:David [KP] | April 06, 2006, 08:04 AM

I think these people who are calling the banker an asshole, and a loser and saying he should die, should certainly turn around and reassess what they call a life, before you toss around insults. While the banker is successful, he is employed, he is brilliant, he is clever, he is witty, did I mention employed, this seems to anger alot of people. Jealousy is not attractive, not to mention that there are probably young veiwers who read these blogs, I think you should think before you type. Be very careful what you are leaving on a public blog for little eyes to read. Try to practice a little maturity when critizing, remember this is a NBC web site, Not Playboy, so access is granted to those under 18.

Posted by:Heather | April 05, 2006, 09:28 PM

Personally, I would stop at anything over $50,000, depending what was left on the board. I would not go clear to CA for a penny or $5! I'm in Missouri, and the cost of travel is high these days plus very dangerous with all the terrorism in the world!

Posted by:Scott | April 05, 2006, 07:05 PM

I think extra prizes should be used more often as incentive for the contestants to stop and not end up with a tiny amount of money. Try offering cars, trips, or even a new house.

Posted by:Scott | April 05, 2006, 07:02 PM

Mr. Banker,
I think that your offers are most of the time very unfair. When someone picks cases with no big amounts of money, sometimes you lower the offer. I do think it's cool that sometimes an extra prize is offered. The Hummer was nice, and so was the pony tonight, but I think that guy should've played on. I think you're very smart, but you can also be a real jerk too!

Posted by:Scott | April 05, 2006, 06:41 PM

Hey banker, Howie Mandel is a huge star that almost everybody loves and some people go on the show to win money and possibly fab prizes. But what is sooo great and cool about you... Oh yeah, I'm 10!

Posted by:Total Gamer, Dude! | April 05, 2006, 06:00 PM

Hey banker, I think you are really smart about offers. But you are not hot, and dumb, SUCKER! You are a waste of time on the show!

Posted by:Total Gamer, Dude! | April 05, 2006, 05:36 PM

I think this show is great ! it gives NORMAL people a chance at winning not just super smart ones -- here stuped can winn too.

as for the banker ,he is what make the show interesting along with Howie

Posted by:brenda cox | April 05, 2006, 01:41 AM

I'm not sure of the purpose of your job other than a gimmick. After a contestant takes the offer, it shows what the offers would have been pretty quickly. Makes one think that the amounts are pretty pat.

Posted by:Gary | April 04, 2006, 04:45 AM

Does the banker know what is in the cases before hand?

Posted by:Jeff | April 03, 2006, 11:15 PM

Great show, you and Howie are the best!

Posted by:Leslie | April 03, 2006, 08:30 PM

Ok. So everyone else is like, saying how lovely it would be to get onto the show. My only concern right know is to find out who the banker is! So banker, are you planning to reveal yourself any time soon?

Posted by:Rachel | April 03, 2006, 07:39 PM

It would be my pleasure to attend to this show of "Deal or No Deal"...it's a clean & very educational to the mind of how to co-operate to win & also meet Howie Mandel...he's a super person & very pleasant...exciting game & very positive to encourage people of the great show...too bad it's not longer to see more entertainment to last so long...keep up the good work...Teddy Miron

I wish I could have the Bankers Job. Can I attach my resume. I'm not thin enough to be a model, but their job seems fun. Do you really not know what is in the cases? I'm a little skeptical. Let me be on the show, come to CT. I Love this show. I am truely hooked on Deal or NO deal. and Howie Mandell is awesome!

I think the banker rocks, if it weren't for him, then the show would not be as fun, so lay off for a bit, he has an easy job, nonetheless, but it is fun...

THIS GAME SUCKS AND I MEAN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE BANKER IS AN ASS HOLE BUT HOWIE WILL YOU MARRY ME??????????

The Banker is a big ass hole you should die. If I win and get to come on the show then i will talke no deal the hole game with out evern asking and if i end upi with 1 cent then it is your fault. Angie - April 3, 8:48pm

will you marry me?

Posted by:Sue | April 03, 2006, 05:30 PM

The banker is my hero of the show. Well, next to Anya. Yum! Anyway, sometimes I'm shocked by the offers you give, totally lowballing a competitor after they knock off the 2nd biggest amount. I always hope they take the deal, so I can mock them from my living room. But when say 500,000 is left with 3 other small amounts, and you offer over 125,000 dollars, the competitors are fools for not taking such a deal. FOOLS!

Posted by:Brian | April 03, 2006, 10:08 AM

If only I could be the banker for just one show, I'd love the power and fun of dishing out the dough! Love the show, Howie, the models, and of course, the banker.

Posted by:Charles | April 03, 2006, 08:55 AM

I Love deal or no deal. sometimes i wish i could just be on the show just once. but then again maybe not, I mean look at the pressure the contestants are under. The banker is an essential part of the show, in my opinion, because it makes the show more interesting. On to the game from the NBC site, I have won a million dollars once. Deal Or No Deal Rocks!

Posted by:Paige | April 03, 2006, 08:27 AM

keep up the good work!!!

Posted by:John | April 01, 2006, 02:48 PM

what's up with the online game of deal or no deal..me , my husband and my son has been playing it and between the 3 of us we have picked the right case 3 night's and still no win..so now i am wondering if the folk's who play by entering their email really has a chance to win the 10.000....hmmmmm i really could use the money right about now too lmao....so can anyone answer this or not...does anyone win by entering a email, and picking the right case....by the way i really think the banker is a cool guy and howie ur cute

Posted by:delores | April 01, 2006, 11:54 AM

I do not want to be on this show, I want to work for the show...I work with numbers everyday, it is my life and my job. I love the banker, he is so mysterious. I am betting he has an accounting degree of some sort. I am from Canada, but would relocate to be part of this. I was a great fan of who wants to me a millionaire but no this show has my attention, I leave work Monday and friday and get home just in time for DOND, love it. Banker disregard all these idiots that only isult the show, they have nothing more to do them blog browse, I see it everyday, and it makes them feel like someone, if they leave there inpression on the world(LMAO)

(1)Go to Iraq.Find BIN Laden.Do some good.
(Most likely in friends of Bin laden!)

(2)Go to the African Continent / Various underdeveloped nations.Feed the poor.Educate the children.Help stop the spread
of AIDS.( I assume instead of spreading awareness, they are spreading the virus)
3) Become a mentor.(they would if they could get a grip on that Drug addiction)
4 )Read a book. ( this sounds like read Penthouse to these febble minds)

This is not tword everyone in this Blog Just to make that clear. It is only for the few who chose to put a damper on the entertainment provided to us by NBC.

The girls are not only beautiful-they’re nice.( I am betting they are also very smart. Just becuase a woman is beautiful does not mean she has no brains.
Thanks Banker for the feedback. Well said.

I bow before you, Banker. I always know that when contestants get rid of a large amount, that you're gonna smack them around. Call me cruel, but that's one of my favourite parts of the show - seeing you shine =)

Posted by:Hope | March 31, 2006, 06:57 PM

well Mr. Banker man thanks for squashing my dream of ever getting on the show cause their is nothing all that spectacular about me, so i guess i dont qualify.. why did ya have to go and do that.

Posted by:playing2win | March 31, 2006, 06:23 PM

To anyone who might know.... When are the casting calls for the show and is it only where it is filmed or is it across the country? Is there anywhere that we can find out and find out how to get on the show?

Posted by:Kimberly Guertin | March 31, 2006, 06:16 PM

Oh and if I needed something "colorful" about me I am a 23 yr old with a 3 almost 4 yr old who is the most adorable child. (Kids on tv.. good for ratings) Being a shift-manager at Pizza Hut and my husband trying to sell swords ( www.dguertin.com ) I think that I am a colorful person at least.

Posted by:Kimberly Guertin | March 31, 2006, 06:16 PM

Amen to that banker.. and yes alot of luck is involved.

Posted by:Playing2Win | March 31, 2006, 06:05 PM

I enjoy that the people you have on the show are those who need the money, and are the Average Joe's of America. It is nice to see that with this concept, everyone has the same opportunity as the next. I just wish some of those who have been on would not get so greedy and take some of the offers that have been given. Try to encourage them more. On the other hand, then it wouldn't be such a game, now would it. Thank you for being apart of a show that doesn't glorify mankind's darker side and allows you at home to genuinly want to root for the underdog. I want to see these people to improve themselves, and it gives hope that some day they will be rooting for me.

there he goes already...

Posted by:playing2win | March 31, 2006, 05:07 PM

The banker is wholly unnecessary. A computer with some simple game theory program can figure out what the offer should be. It's how the "home version" of the game works, after all.

But he does make a good plot device.

Posted by:me | March 31, 2006, 04:27 PM

I can't believe the buzz around this show. It rocks. And the way it is designed lends itself to these subtle changes that they keep introducing. For instance, tonight they will have some kind of surprise behind a door. Great work DOND producers. Way to go!

Posted by:Phillip Reynolds | March 31, 2006, 01:56 PM

Greg I think you're an idiot. Make sure you don't contradict yourself next time. sigh.

Keep up the good work banker, if this show goes on for more seasons make sure you play a bigger role in it.

By the way who cares if the producers, or the banker, or any1 knows the amounts in each case? it’s all up to the contestant anyway (the offers ive seen so far are fair). Frankly, I wouldnt give a damn if the producers knew the amounts in each case.

I love this show. The banker makes it very suspensful...I believe that at heart he is loving and gentle and must put on a show that he is mean. Well, I'm not falling for it! Pick me for your show and help me pay for my wedding. No matter what, deal or no deal makes dreams come true for everyone!

Posted by:Ashley Palmer | March 31, 2006, 12:41 PM

We love DOND !! Game is catching on like wildfire !!! Every show we've seen, the player always has gone one step too far. They get scared when the big money drops, so they quit. They don't realize: there is no risk in playing this game = you always win !! If its one penny or thousands of bucks, you can't lose !! So why not just keep playing and burn it down to the case in your hand ?? NOTE: the Banker's offer is usually a bit less than the average of all the numbers left in play. The average of all numbers at the beginning of the game is around $30 thousand. Any offer above this is better than average, and lower is below. Thats it !! The rest is stage direction and theatrics, this all makes for wonderful entertainment.

Posted by:Greg Robinson | March 31, 2006, 12:38 PM

Without the banker, the show would be all computerized. No one have to wait for the phone to ring, or for Howie to ignore it for long period of time, then just as he goes to pick it up, goes to commercial. This is what makes this show great. Its the anticipation of the next offer. What bothers me most is the idiots who chose to "No Deal, on a $100,000 plus offer when they have no safety net left. Who care what is in the case, the chances of picking the million dollar case are 1 in 26, and these nit wits come empty handed anyway. If they want to start out witting the banker, they will have to start taking his money. AND FYI: The models are beautiful, there are a big part of this game show family. My husband and I love them. Good Job Banker, keep sucking the life out of these players, maybe one day I'll come play and take your money.

Posted by:Heather | March 31, 2006, 12:29 PM

Oh, yeah, catgirl. Take the one and only aspect of suspense out of the game. That's REALLLY smart. Please, NBC, don't listen to her. Proof positive that a cat's brain is very small.

Posted by:caseclosed | March 31, 2006, 11:49 AM

They should show the TV audience the amounts in the cases before the contestant starts picking.
That would prove the amounts are not being switched (especially when the contestant has to come back the next day)
and would make the show MUCH more interesting.

Posted by:catgirl | March 31, 2006, 11:18 AM

The show is awesome! Always did like Howie, think he was the best pick to present your show.
TV needed another good game show on for viewers to watch. The banker is great! Keep that money in the family.

Posted by:EMD | March 31, 2006, 10:54 AM

Those contestants don't know how to consider the "real"

If you make a calculation after every segment, that IS a tough job. I have noticed that they do vary, but I have gotten pretty good at predicting the offers, only been way off twice this month.

I cannot believe that nobody caught the slip up
on wednesday night's show. The table showing the
different amounts of money showed $400 grayed out
when they cut to the contestant cameo but BEFORE
the case was opened!!!

This is evidence of the "show" knowing what's where...
beforehand!!!

The banker adds to the excitment! I love the banker! People just want to spite the banker so they keep going and don't stop. Hey, I'd be happy with $1,000!

Posted by:Banker Boy | March 30, 2006, 01:59 PM

I would not mind being selected by Jeopardy, or even by the much easier "wheel of Fortune" show,

but I would NOT apply for this show, I'd hate all my colleagues of mine seeing me there.

(regardless that I'd really have to be a good actor to convince the DOND producers that I don't really need the lousy $ that bad)

Posted by:That Krazy Kat in Konnecti-Kat | March 30, 2006, 01:18 PM

Hey Chris - Don't give up yet. It does seem true though what Gaton said about showing you need it so bad. When I made my video, I don't think I looked poor enough! I could use the money, who couldn't, but I'll be just as fine without it. Did you have a real reason to use the money? What did you say for the question "If you won the million, what would you do?" Besides saving it, I said my husband and I wanted to start our family. That's true, but I really didnt have anything else to say. I'm not looking to buy a ranch or go to Figi!! I just want the money!
It's only been three days now since they received my tape so I am still holding out hope!!

The Jeopardy Site had a nice forum where the correct answers for yesterday's 50-question online test

were discussed.

So far I know I got 8 out of the 50 wrong and almost all others right.

They say a 35 out of 50 is a pass, so my 42 looks good so far..

Wish me luck..

IF I pass the test i still need to be selected for an interview in one of several cities available (Chicago is what I chose)

Posted by:Shan | March 30, 2006, 10:55 AM

How much of a fool do you have to be? The navy boy had 2 large amounts left
and he makes a deal for less than 100,000. People are such morons somtimes.
Should've gone for it.

CHRIS:

As you may have noticed, not ONE of the show contestants is a wealthy dude. Many have serious $ difficulties.

To get on the show, you got to give the impression that you really are desperate and $100k will really mean a lot to you.

You also need to be colorful, with some silly-ass lucky charm, power move (sorry I vomit here) or whatever.

And be prepared to herd all kinds of family and friends to say their silly thing too.

Serious, Rational Human Beings do not have a chance in Hell to be selected to play.

the offers set out there. i wanna see more normal folks tho, lets see america's family's, i love it when
the kids are there to root on their parents, seeing a family play together pulls at my strings any day.

Posted by:Stacy | March 30, 2006, 07:17 AM

Listen up:

Even if nobody wins the damn $1,000,000 anytime soon,

At the end of every player's run, we get to look at the contents of his or her case.

IF the show goes on for a while, and we have at least 26 different players,

eventually there will be a dude or dudette with the accursed $1,000,000 in his or her case,

WETHER OR NOT that player had the GUTS to ignore everybody and stick to his case to the bitter end.

IF that does not happen, something is screwy with the alleged "RANDOM PLACEMENT OF AMOUNTS IN THE CASES"

Makes Sense?

Hey Banker. Do you really read youre blog

Posted by:Steve D. | March 30, 2006, 06:31 AM

Scott- whats the show without any drama? Its the suspense that makes your heart race. does case # 4 have the million, or am i opening the penny? you never know really. All you can do is hope. With Howie cutting to a commercial or joking around, it gives you a prolonged suspence you will stay tuned and watch when the commercials end. The joys of reality tv :)

Posted by:Lauren | March 30, 2006, 05:57 AM

I like the show though. Could you talk to someone and get all the drama out
so that we can see more contestants in an hour.
Have the drama when you get down to one case at a time.
Just have them pick all six cases and then open them all at once.
Same thing with five cases, four, etc.

Posted by:Scott | March 30, 2006, 05:40 AM

I'm not stupid, this show has obviously been thought through before it was even put on t.v.
All the possible combinations that people could pick are in a the computer and amounts of money to
offer have been assigned to those combinations, and thats what the banker offers them.
Yes I know there are many many combinations but that's why they had someone figure it all out
with a computer before the show even aired.

Posted by:Scott | March 30, 2006, 05:37 AM

I'm more than a few fries short! Some may even say the cheese has slipped off the cracker completely. It would be cool to see you just once walking in Vanna's high heel shoes. You must have been a cop at some point also eating all those donutsand as for the models, you probably have a peep hole into the dressing room and who would blame you for that!?!!!!!Keep up the good work

Posted by:Dave | March 30, 2006, 04:45 AM

That lady was an idiot for listening to her mom...odds totally against her near the end...should've taken the $80K. oh well, she'll still be living with mama now. too bad she didn't win less. on any other game show that would've been a grand prize & she'd actually have to "earn" it.

You're just there as a Hollywood Prop. The numbers have all been calculated for every possible combination. The computer instantly knows what the offer will be. It's still fun to look at your silhouette.

Cheers

ok, at first I didn't really like the military guy w/ all his "hoo yas". but when his daughters came out & they all started crying...and how he listened to them! he wasn't being greedy- more concerned about the kids he hasn't been able to see in a long time. and those daughters looked so traumatized missing their dad so much...so sad that it took a TV show to reunite them...but hey you know those vindictive ex's. i'm sure she'll sue to get more child support from his winnings! hey lady....let the dad spend some time with his kids!!!

HA how funny to read some of these posts. I am going with the guy who said people need to stop listening to the audience and stop whenever they get an offer abouve 200K. GREED will get you everytime I guess. But then again it is a show and you came with nothing so why not play all the way, right? Guess we cant judge until we get our shot in the spotlight and put the banker to the test. Give him a run for his money.

Don't care what your name is ,it's the way you figure(or should I say the computer in front of you that figures the actual odds) vs. implied odds that bugs me.Seems your show would do better if you offered an amount that was higher than the odds at times to entice the player to give in more often. You (or the person that replaces you for doing a half assed job) could make this game far more interesting by making it more financially inticing to take an offer higher than the odds in the earlier parts of the game.

Like the show, people are stupid or just greedy, but then it would not be much of a show if people were not!

Posted by:joemomma | March 29, 2006, 05:22 PM

Just one HUGE falacy with youir wonderful participation in a great show Banker. That is the glaring fact that the contestant's "revelations" of his future picks are not valid. No one , not even the contestant can "reveal" FOR SURE what number he or she would have picked. Afly buzzing by or a noise in the audience could absolutely/easily affect/change the number that "is predicted" one would have picked, ESPECIALLY two or three numbers down the road.
Oh well, it's hard to be "perfect" but you do have a wonderful game Howie and Banker. However yoiu MUST adjust this "HOOK", it does not work because even the pedestrian television audience=---first thing----will say, "Oh but he can't be SURE he'd do that ten minutes ago, or after hugging this family member, or looking twice at the blonde again!!!!!!

Posted by:Ritaestelle | March 29, 2006, 05:22 PM

I agree with "Gamble's" post (May 27) that the banker is not necessary. "Gamble stated that Howie immediately knows what the next offer would have been to someone who takes the deal. Folks, get real; there is no banker. It seems to be a ploy to waste as much time as possible. While I think the show is great, there is too much drama associated with a ficticious banker. I highly doubt there is anyone on the phone that rings. Howie also wastes time asking about the contestant questions that we are not interested in (where they live, who they brought with them, etc.). I do not care who are with the contestant, what their names are or what they do, or what case they think the player should open. I wouldn't pick a case for a player because I wouldn't want to be responsible for picking the million dollare one. These pepeople aren't contestants and who cares what they think; it is a random game and it doesn't matter what case anyone chooses. This is not a game of skill where one person knows more than another so Howie, keep to the contestant and stop wasting time talking to the "pit crew" of the player. Take two contestants and play the game till the end with both of them, instead of pretending to talk to a "banker" and talking to people who aren't playing the game. This would make the show faster paced and much more exciting. If you frustrate your audience like you do now, they will tire of the show and it will be canceled just like "Millionaire" was. This is one show I can actually go to the restroom and come back without having misseed anything. Open the cases, make the offer and move on.

mrmoose - "Because you couldnt take the pressure Big Boy."

Hey mr Moose Dude, Whatchayoutalking about???/

WHAT pressure?

Are contestants asked to do anything even remotely difficult?

Besides beign greedy, the players seem to be unduly influenced by the retards in the Studio audience, let alone the geniuses they bring with them

that encourage them to keep playing until they leave barefoot and pregnant and with $5 instead of $200,000 that thebanker offered them and the morons turned down.

$200k is a lot even for a rich dude-you can buy a TOP TOP TOP of the line mercedes or an enrty level FERRARI with that dough!

But for these losers, $200k is a FORTUNE!

And it's FREE, and they turn it down.

GO FIGURE.

So the show has promised a "miracle" tonight huh?

maybe some lucky dog had the $1 million in their case?

That is hardly a miracle, there is a 4% chance of that (1/26).

I can't wait to see what happens tonight. They're advertising it like we're going to witness a miracle. I doubt I'll be moved to tears, but my annoyance at the contestant may bring on a migrane. Wow, I need to chill... it is just a game show. On the other hand, I feel obligated to express my pure distain for some of these loser contestants.

By the way, I love the reference "USDA choice 100% Morons". I couldn't have said it better myself.

Posted by:Captain Obvious | March 29, 2006, 11:53 AM

The producers are not idiots. The contestants ARE average people with serious $ difficulties, and that is the most surprising thing, that these supersitious IDIOTS (most of them are indeed USDA choice 100% Morons)

are SO greedy that they refuse Excellent offers by the banker, to the tune of $200k, for the CHANCE (NOT SURE!) of winning 3 or 500k, AND an equal chance (risk) of winning only $5 or so.

If there was a billionaire playing, I'd understand the logic of keeping playing, but for THESE LOSERS like that retarded "power move" Unemployed babysitter sorry excuse of a man?

All they need is that 100k or 200k the banker offers, BUT what do they do? The morons keep on playign and ending up with $5.

What a bunch of losers..

Posted by:The Gaton's Purr | March 29, 2006, 11:17 AM

IT's obvious to me that the producers of this show are idiots. Who wants to see these annoying people win money? If the contestants were normal, run of the mill, work a day, people like most of us are, then we'd love watching the show. But no, they get these annoying military people, or too-cute-for-her-own-good teachers/cheer squad coaches, and we all get annoyed by their stupidity. And yes, they are all greedy people, but aren't we all? Anyone would love a chance to win some money, but come on. Get some real people up there who aren't so freakin' annoying! Who's with me? I liked the black dude from a couple of weeks ago who was just happy to be there. I liked the guy who I think must have been gay, who was a doctor, and single. He was cool. But recently we've gotten a bunch of annoying cheer-happy losers. And that guy with the "power move"... don't even get me started. Let's see some more real contestants that aren't so ANNOYING!

Thanks for reading my rant. You are blessed.

great show, i like the banker, and i like how the ladies make you wonder if just for a second what they know when they peak in the case, Howie man, maybe just alittle less drama, great show i hope it last a very long time and i think is will the way people just don't know when to quick, and ilike the idea of involving the tv audience getting a chance with the case. wow it is just fun to watch,Howie i like the way you ineract with the quest. angie

As a new game this is interesting. Banker’s offer is becoming a bit predictable after watching few games. I am not sure if this game will sustain in the current format for more than 1 season.

Producers should make something more interesting in the game like polling the audience live, Online live and show the statistics to the player whether to go with deal or No deal, guarantee min $1000 for players. If the player hits all the right side big amounts over $1000, the game should terminate and move on. It becomes really boring to watch players play for $100 and $500.

Another serious issue about this game is involving kids to pick numbers. How is this any different from Lotto? If children are not allowed to play lotto, can they pick number for their parents? Umm..kind of crossing the line. The producers have to stop this before some one file a lawsuit for fame. Producers should make a change to this as well. Players supporter over 18 should only help players select numbers.

The placement of the million dollar case from show to show can be modelled
as a Poisson distribution. But knowing that won't help a contestant.

I enjoy the show, the hype and the angst. Its amazing though, how seriously people take the show and the participants. Its a fun show...not life and death and whether the banker is "real" or just a scapegoat does not matter, he adds to the drama of the show and hopefully, its longterm success. Good work all.

Posted by:Mark MCCOY | March 28, 2006, 05:21 PM

BRIAN: don;t be a total MORON, the banker's deals OF COURSE ARE NOT EXACT CALCULATIONS, and in addition they are frequently QUITE WRONG

if considered to be a math value.

FOR EXAMPLE: When that dumb ass the "queen of spam" squandered all kinds of good offers of close to $200,000 and

ended up with either $5000 or $5 or so in her case,

The banker offered her $2,800 (!!!), WHICH IS UTTTERLY irrational viewed from the math angle,

which dictates that his offer should be $2,502.5 OR LESS, MUCH LESS, since his amount is FOR SURE while the 5k is PIE IN THE SKY 50% CHANCE.

Got it now, Genius?

(Yeah, right..)

Posted by:The Gaton's Purr | March 28, 2006, 05:09 PM

As the so-called banker himself admits, he or she is NOT a banker. He has a background in Psychology and Risk Assessment etc, which is far more interesting than a stupid banker.

I bet the fake banker makes much less than a Real banker too..LOL..

I don't think your 'job' is that hard --- high school math --- especially if the contestant hangs around for the later rounds, the offers get more and more predictable. Since I really don't know anything about you other than your 'responsibility' to an easy-to-like TV game show, I'd have to say I neither like nor dislike you. I'm sure the models are nice to you since they all seem to have a likeable disposition, but that doesn't mean they like you either. Maybe underneath that professional smile they want to scratch your eyes out?

I'm glad we really don't know who you are, it would ruin the game.
How you like me now!?!?

Also becasue your a banker you have to be good at math if I'm playing the game where you can win 10,000$ what is the chance what I can win. Like last episode (monday March 27 2006) I picked case number 5 and the ten thousand was in the case #5. What was the chances or me winning?

Prncssmommy25 (and all), as far as the second tape goes, they have you talk about yourself, and then you play the game with your friends and the interviewer. Basically, you go through your answers on your application, expanding on what you said. Then, you all get together and act out a quick rendition of the game. It's really fun. Then once that is all over (which you have been video recording) you send in the tape and wait. At least that's what I had to do. My interviewer was awesome. She loved every minute of it. But the producers are the ones who pick, and I'm thinking they didn't go for me since I haven't heard, but again, all you can do is wait and see. Good Luck to us all!

Posted by:Dave | March 28, 2006, 01:49 PM

Patty- How long has it been since you submitted your tape??

Posted by:Prncssmommy25 | March 28, 2006, 01:24 PM

Patty - So far, Dave is the only one that has heard anything. I've copied his entry below. I just sent mine in yesterday so hopefully I will here somethig this week.

CHRIS, I got a call a little more than a week after I sent in my tape. I think they had it for a couple of days before they called. But from what I gathered from my interviewer, they have a bunch of people looking at them, and it could be the day they get it, or a week after, depending on who is looking at your tape and what they’ve got on their plate at the time. If you get a call, you’ll need to have your friends/supporters come together and you’ll do a conference call with your interviewer and you’ll tape that and send it in. That’s where I’m at now. I haven’t heard back, so I’m thinking they passed one me, but we’ll see. GOOD LUCK!

Dave - March 28, 07:00 am

Gaton, I believe the torque in my 928 is a bit above 300 ftlb. I've read these cars have anywhere from 315-330 hp with about 315-320 ft.lbs. of torque. The guy I bought my 928 from was a little misinformed because he told me this car had over 350 hp, and I know that it does't, since there are no mods. He may have been told that, or got mixed up with the later GT which had about 340. But he was a cool guy and had the car for 8 years, so I just let him say whatever he wanted to. It's silver with black leather, and he kept it up great. The one thing it doesn't have is a german accented woman telling me what to do. I think I might have liked that. The 750iL in "Live Another Day" is beautiful. You're driving in style.

Posted by:Stanley | March 28, 2006, 11:52 AM

DAVE - What did they make you do?? Did they give you different scenarios to act out or did they just talk to you?

Posted by:Prncssmommy25 | March 28, 2006, 11:45 AM

Stanley-My 7 also has a similar feature (an "M" switch that locks current gear in place as you go faster) but I have not used it yet, and until yest evening I had not floored it either (did no tneed to, ample power and esp. torque). In fact, one can buy a chip that replaces an existing one on my 7 that limits the HP to 282 while that same engine can easily make 320+ HP. Since I have no warranty to be voided, i could do it, but so far power is plentiful at 282 and did not do that either.

Still, your 928 is almost 1,000 lbs lighter than my 7 and has more HP (torque?), so it should be quicker than the 7.

PS my 7 is identical in shape and color with the arctic silver 750iL that appeared in "Live Another Day" as Bond's hamburg "rental", complete with a nbavigation system like mine, but in bond's case it had a german accented woman's voice admonishing him all the time..

Hey Chris and Prncssmommy25. Good luck with everything. I'll let you know if I hear back, but at this point who knows. It's been a week since I sent my second video in. If you get a call for the second video/interview, go crazy and have fun. I think I was a little reserved, so that may have hurt me. I think they're looking for very fun, energetic, family oriented people. That's me, but I may not have come across that way. Good Luck!!

Gaton, It sounds like you and I have common problems with the German electrical glitches. So far so good, besides the minor inconveniences. And yes, nobody is envious of my automatic Porsche, but I must say, the kickdown switch makes it very fun to drive. It's to the left of the brake, so whenever I want to pass someone, or just floor it and speed from 50 to 90 in mere seconds, I just step on the switch, floor it, and I'm gone. It is a SERIOUS rush. But I am envious of your 7-series. That is a beast of a car, and I know you're loving it.

Posted by:Stanley | March 28, 2006, 11:03 AM

Stanley-so I don't need to envy you, you got the Porsche with the auto. The 7 has a 5-speed auto, and D is a rather slow driving mode, BUT if you put it in D4, it is "S" for sporty driving.

TOp-line german cars have great styling and interiors, handle 10 times better than lexuses and domestic barges, etc, but you are right, their electrical/electronics suck. The 7 I got is very electronics intensive, but fortunately all the glitches so far have not affected the perfectly working engine or handling, but rather minor inconveniences..

Posted by:CHRIS | March 28, 2006, 10:37 AM

Gaton, you were right. My 928 is actually about 3,400 lbs. That was a typo. By the way, I used to have a 1989 Accord 5-speed and I loved it. I had it until I hit 245,000 miles and sold it to a friend for $1,000. It was perfect. As for my 928, it's unfortunately an auto, but of all the 928s they imported to the US, only about 1/4 were 5-speed (until the GT came out) so I took what I could get. German engineering is awesome (except for some of the electrical systems that can sometimes be a headache). It's all worth it though when I'm cruising down the highway.

I ama great fan of The Banker and am in complete agreement that far too many contestants are, in fact, greedy pinheads who deserve to walk away with 5 or 10 bucks. Anyone who turns down 250,000 dollars is insane. Keep stickin' it to them, Banker!

Posted by:C.M.L. Spender | March 28, 2006, 09:26 AM

"The Gaton’s Purr. Hey man, that is a sweet BMW you got. I love buying used cars at a fraction of their new price that have tremendous value (for their owner)."

I agree.. of course the downside is they have no warranty if they are like my Bimmer (8 yrs old and 113k miles when i bought it)..I could have bought a Lexus LS 400 but it drives 3 times WORSE than the Bimmer, and would cost almost twice as much, due to its very good reliability..

" I have recently purchased a 1988 Porsche 928. 326hp, 4300 lbs., built for cruising at 130 mph for an entire day."

That is a very interesting choice. these cars are HUGE value, because when new, they were far MORE expensive than the 911s, while now the 911s used have huge prices andf the 928s are bargains!

" Most comfortable car I’ve ever driven. Sure, it’s a coupe, but I don’t want anyone with me besides my girl anyways."

I like Coupes better, my other car is a trusty (but rusty!) 16-year Accord coupe 5-speed. Their doors feel far more substantial, and you can get your elbow out the window when you like..which i can't in the 4-door bimmer

"I bought it for $9,500 with 89,000 miles, and with it’s ceramice V-8, it’s good for at least 300,000 (kept up correctly of course)."

I assume it's a typo when you wrote that the 928 is also 4,300 lbs (like the 740 iL?) Do you mean 3,400 lbs?

"Way to go on the BMW man. I love those cars. I’ll see you on the highway at 120 mph."

I was actually looking for a 528 or 540 with a manual 5 / 6 speed respectively, the 1997-03 models, but there was this 740 il bargain close to home. I hate to drive two hours and see a car that I will not buy.. esp. at today's prices)

Gaton, you are a very good debator. I will concede to you now because you have made some very good points, and I have to admit, I agree with what you have said. I guess I was thinking in terms of the chance of winning the million dollars given the contestants that play this game. I shouldn't have added that into my equation, because it is true. When they choose that first case, the chance is 1 in 26 that they'll pick the million. Later.

"Gaton, we all know that the chance of picking the million dollar case is 1 in 26."

You'll be surprised. Most actual show contestants do not know anything.

" You are exactly right. However, after that first try at the case (1/26) the chance of winning the million is terrible."

You are quite wrong. First, what do you mean "after the first try at the case"? After you select a case (it Should NOT matter which one, unlike the sentimental fools on the show that "select" a "lucky" number (what morons!), you got to open SIX of the 25 remaining,

and i can easily calculate that

1. If one of these cases has the million, your chances of course drop from 1/26 to ZERO, BUT

2. If, as usually happens, none of the six contains the million, then your chances IMPROVE to 1/20!

" Add in the fact that the contestant doesn’t know what they have, and the chance of winning the million is very small."

That fact in no way changes the chance!! And I add that even the BANKER and HOWIE DO NOT KNOW what the cases hold, otherwise the offers from the banker would be quite different, and the show would be SUED!

" Sorry about the useless verbage. I know I can ramble."

THat's OK, actually it was not that bad, I just was too busy to go thru all of that (mostly obvious) train fo thoughts.Sorry I overreacted.

" But, the truth is that there would never be a game show that gave a contestant a true one in 26 chance of winning one million dollars."

IF the contestant is Ken Jennings and the Game show is Jeopardy, (he won Over $2 million, plus a lot of pocket change in Endorosements), then the chance is almost 100%!

And the winner has the added satisfaction that he or she EARNED the $, and did not just get LUCKY, as with this 100% chance, no skills required Deal Game.

"That is why the game is so awesome."

The game is awsome because of the Social observations you can make observing all those guinea pigs and their relatives, and how they react to the offers.

Most reactions are utterly irrational. First of all there are no losers in this game, every contestant leaves with SOME winnings, wether they are $5 or $200k, the highest amount to date.

" People think it’s easy, when in fact it is quite difficult to win much of anything."

Here is a strategy so that SOMEBODY wins the $1 mill: Suppose a large no of players get together and AGREE to NEVER ACCEPT A DEAL AND leave with what they have in their case. If that large no is 26, there is no guarantee that ONE of them will have the $1 mill in their case, it is likely that NONE does, but it is equally possible that TWO of them do!

Now if you get 100 players to agree on that policy, at least ONE of them will win the $1 m with a very high probability.

" I would do exactly what you said you would do if I ever got up to a couple hundred thousand... take it and run. I’m with you brother. "

What ffascinates me is that the players are really POOR people that could USE $100k, or $200k, it could go A LONG WAY and the fools get pressured by the crowd and the retards they bring with them and refuse!

it is different if the players were already multi-millionaires, then they would not care, and gamble away until they hit the "holy grail" of the $1 mill!

In any case, assuming the $ 1 mill is still around with two cases unopened, what should the banker offer? (suppose the amounts remaining are $ 1 mill and $0.01). $500,000? That woudl be too generous. I'd even take $350,000 for sure rather than gamble it and end up with a 50% chance of ONE RED CEN

The Gaton's Purr. Hey man, that is a sweet BMW you got. I love buying used cars at a fraction of their new price that have tremendous value (for their owner). I have recently purchased a 1988 Porsche 928. 326hp, 4300 lbs., built for cruising at 130 mph for an entire day. Most comfortable car I've ever driven. Sure, it's a coupe, but I don't want anyone with me besides my girl anyways. I bought it for $9,500 with 89,000 miles, and with it's ceramice V-8, it's good for at least 300,000 (kept up correctly of course).

Way to go on the BMW man. I love those cars. I'll see you on the highway at 120 mph.

It's vent time. Ever since this stupid show has been on I have been receiving texts from people who think they are registering for the 10,000 prize. My number is 614-595-9595 and I have e-mailed the show and the local affilliate of this issue and no one at NBC Universal seems to give a darn. I can't even get a phone number to discuss this with someone. I have had my number for over four years and I should not have to change my number because of this.I have already had to have my voice mail service shut off because of this. Please get this fixed asap

I missed the show yesterday, but then I really missed nothing.

I was enjoyng the drive back from the Chicago area..in my excellent Uebercar, that I bought for LESS than you buy the WURST (pun intended!) Hyundai or Kia.

(1998 MBW 740 iL 4.4lt, 282 hp, 300+ lbft, 4,300 lbs, 121+ inch wheelbase.. built for the Highway!... do 120 MPH and feels like 80.. and still get 22 mpg (25 mpg if you behave). While the morons in their 9-mpg SUVs eat my DUST.(or, yesterday, are splashed with my raindrops)

Posted by:The Gaton's Purr | March 28, 2006, 08:08 AM

Gaton, we all know that the chance of picking the million dollar case is 1 in 26. You are exactly right. However, after that first try at the case (1/26) the chance of winning the million is terrible. Add in the fact that the contestant doesn't know what they have, and the chance of winning the million is very small. Sorry about the useless verbage. I know I can ramble. But, the truth is that there would never be a game show that gave a contestant a true one in 26 chance of winning one million dollars. That is why the game is so awesome. People think it's easy, when in fact it is quite difficult to win much of anything. I would do exactly what you said you would do if I ever got up to a couple hundred thousand... take it and run. "No. Nobody has ever won the million, and nobody ever will most likely."

NObody knows that, and least of all YOU. IF the show goes on for LONG ENOUGH, they may. The SHOW ITSELF MAy want to, but I doubt that it CAN help any one of these greedy fools win. I'd not risk it MYSELF if I was up there, I'd wait until the pot was about $100-300k and take the damn $ and LEAVE, instead of making a total fool of myself and leave with $5, like most idiots on the show have done recently.

" People will win big numbers, but the chance of winning one million is too small. It’s not one in 26 as some think,"

The chance that the case you select contains the $1,000,000 is EXACTLY 1/26, as any first-grader with an OUNCE OF BRAINS SHOULD KNOW.

" because you have to factor all chances of winning the million for every choice the contestant makes."

good job of confusing yourself and trying to confuse all the rest of the posters...LOL..

" If they don’t pick the one million case when they choose their case (one in 26 chance), then every time they pick a case, the chance of choosing the one million case is there, eliminating it from the board. So, the chance of actually picking the one million case is 1 in 26 on their first try, but after that, if they don’t have it, they will most likely never win the one million, because if they pick it after their first try, it’s gone. Plus, if they do happen to have it, as other numbers are taken from the board, they will most likely take a deal before they ever get to the last case. Make sense? "

useless verbiage.

Thanks Dave. I had the same questions as Chris did. I sent my tape and app. in yesterday and very anxious to hear anything back from them. What did they make you do on the conference call video?

Posted by:Prncssmommy25 | March 28, 2006, 07:42 AM

No. Nobody has ever won the million, and nobody ever will most likely. People will win big numbers, but the chance of winning one million is too small. It's not one in 26 as some think, because you have to factor all chances of winning the million for every choice the contestant makes. Posted by:Lauren | March 28, 2006, 07:04 AM

CHRIS, I got a call a little more than a week after I sent in my tape. I think they had it for a couple of days before they called. But from what I gathered from my interviewer, they have a bunch of people looking at them, and it could be the day they get it, or a week after, depending on who is looking at your tape and what they've got on their plate at the time. If you get a call, you'll need to have your friends/supporters come together and you'll do a conference call with your interviewer and you'll tape that and send it in. That's where I'm at now. I haven't heard back, so I'm thinking they passed one me, but we'll see. GOOD LUCK!

Posted by:Dave | March 28, 2006, 07:00 AM

One of you at least asked when will a contestant win $1 million.

IN A PERFECT WORLD (and not with greedy-chicken fools playing as itis now)

there would be ONE MILLIONAIRE IN EVERY 26 PLAYERS

assuming the show is fair, random cases etc.

Then there is a one in 26 chances that the million is in whatever case you choose.

SO if the show went on long enough to have several dozen contestants, AND if contestsnts woudl tell the banker to go eff himself and REJECT ALL HIS OFFERS and take what they had in their case to begin with,

THEN you would have ONE millionaire every 26 contestants, if the show lasted long enough, with 1,000s of contestants.

BUT Howie and the Banker cound on the fact that bnoth the players AND the idiotic CROWD they assemble in front of them that encourage them to do STUPID THINGS are greedy cowards, and will not have the discipline and the stomach to ignore all offers and 'stick to theiur guns"

I don;t blame them, either.. there is only a 1/26 chjance it contains $1 million, and only 1/4 chance it contains anything SERIOUS ($100k or above)

Yo Banker. You are funny. I think it is clearly Howie who writes the banker blog. Who else comes up with the chessy crap written on here. This bad boy banker stuff is funny. The only reason I watch the show is to see people get greedy and risk losing all the money, which they do most of the time. It is freaking FUNNY! Nobody seems to know when to quit! Comical if you ask me.

The banker, really does nothing, and I am pretty sure Howie is talking to himself. This show is a hit because it takes no skills, you don't have to be smart or in shape, you just have to be greedy and AMERICA is full of people like that! LOL!

The banker is not even real. The guy that sat in the Banker's booth is just an actor. The person (or a computer program) that generates offers on the show is not even a banker. This person who started the Banker's Blog is not even the same as the one on TV. NBC wouldn't pay some banker to sit on that show when they can just get any guy in the studio to sit in the banker's booth for free. You don't even need any qualification to sit there and pretend to be a banker in the shadow. Don't you people get it? Enjoy watching the show or just turn it off! There's no point telling stuff to the guy who doesn't really exist. Get a life already!

I think not seeing the banker gives the game a bit more of an edge to it. The banker could use some schooling in being polite.

Posted by:Eric | March 27, 2006, 05:55 PM

I think you, Mr. Banker, are doing a great job. You make the show far more interesting sitting in the shadows. I can see how that makes it easier for people to blame you when a contestant's greed makes them lose. I hope you continue doing the great job you are doing. Love the show!!!

Posted by:Elle | March 27, 2006, 05:53 PM

I have gotten hooked on this game.

I have observed that people who get on the show usually don't have a good idea in how the way the odds begin to go against the player.

It is sort of like playing Blackjack or any other game at a casino--and it is like the line from the old Kenny Roger's song: "Know when to hold 'em....Know when to fold 'em!!!!....." you can't get too greedy---just when you think that you have the game licked--it will lick you---based on the way the game goes playing online for me and by the way the game unfolds on the telly---when you the banker's offer gets up into the high five figures or even the six figures for sure--take the money and run---the odds quickly go against you...I hope to get on this game somehow--I would not play to win the million--the odds of that are almost impossible--I would play for a figure like the cheerleader teacher won----as far as the banker is concerned--he is just a prop--the numbers that are offered are spit out by the computer based upon a simple numbers crunching program....

Posted by:Mike G | March 27, 2006, 05:53 PM

This is a great game show, even my kids (ages 5-8) enjoy watching while shouting "NO DEAL!!" Keep up the anticipation we're enjoying it BANKER.

Mark in Michigan.

The Formula (presuming that the banker really doesn't know what amount is in the case) would switch around a bit.

An easy one would to simply add up the outstanding value, divide it by the number of outstanding cases and offer an amount below that.

Of course, that would presume that the values progessed evenly. They don't.

The most simple way to do it would be to tag every outstanding value under a certain amount (Say, $50,000 and under) as being "0" (since NBC doesn't care if they pay out $25,000) herein called "X" and every outstanding value above that at it's face value herein called "Y".

Add up the total numbers of "Y's" (herein called Z), then add up the total number the Y's represent (herein called R).

Z/R = M.

Subtract a percentage from M, and you have your "offer".

Of course, this is just one way, there are ways to make it A LOT simpler.

Posted by:Cyndi | March 27, 2006, 05:30 PM

It's not the bankers fault that the idiots on the show don't know when to stop. He is just doing his job. I have not seen so many broke people in America turn down so much money in my life.

Posted by:A. Bell | March 27, 2006, 05:29 PM

I want to be on the show to! I need the money to have a life. I haven't seen anyone on there that's desparate, or needs the money to actually live. Hey it would definitely change my life. I'm poor and live on disability, need a van or truck to haul my wheelchair around as mine's on it's last wheel's. Get me on your show, I'll know when to stop as I'm not greedy.

Hello Banker!! This is a great show and I would love to be on it too.I am a widow on disability and would love to do something nice for my son,David, who lives with me and takes care of me. Nobody knows how much he really does for me. His biological father was killed in a car wreck by a drunk driver and then was adopted by my husband,Larry. Larry died in 2001 with a heart attack so he really needs something nice done for him. I try, but I am just not able. Would love to put him on the show or be on it myself and do something wonderful for him. Keep up the good work. The show is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

One after another the contestants come to the show with pleas for $$$ to pay bills, finally buy a home, take care of a sick parent...Howie offers the player more money than they have ever thought of possessing regardless of the taxman's cut, and what do they say?..."NO DEAL" only to succumb to their and their compatriots greed. You've got an easy job, Mr. Banker, the little lost dreamer in all of us makes your day a piece of cake! Wonder if you can tell me how Jack Bauer is going to save us on this year's today?

What say you Expert banker?

DOND is a casino game.
One of ratios. It’s probably closest to insurance adjusting.
“We will calculate the outstanding risk and make you an offer that’s slightly beneath the value of your case.
There needn't be any "banker". The job of the banker could be done by a calculator. Human nature and greed would take care of the rest in order to keep it profitable for NBC. Will players get lucky from time to time? Yes, but overall, the payouts are fairly small. When you examine the structure of the payouts, it’s slanted against the players from the outset.

Yeah, it is funny watching how greedy people are, and some of them aren't really smart about it. Hey, walk into a game show without any money in their pockets and be offered some major cash...of coarse take it. However, if there were tons of boxes in the right hand side and just a few on the left....then I just might so ahead and go for it..the odds are in your favor then...the best game show on TV...thus far.

I agree with the person who said you already know what the next offer is before anybody picks a case. You are messing with their minds, but it does show how greedy some are when they turn down over $200K!!! I certainly would not!

Posted by:Dee | March 27, 2006, 04:51 PM

This game is rigged. The suit cases have secret compartments in them that switch the numbers after they pick them.

There is nothing wrong with the banker. The problem is those foolish, greedy contestants who just don't know when to quit.

Posted by:dt | March 27, 2006, 04:43 PM

i think you are a very smart man. people are greedy,i lov the show.i like the banker.give them what they diserve.

Posted by:mary431962 | March 27, 2006, 04:38 PM

What I think is really funny, is when the contestants are on a "roll" and then all of the sudden get a great offer, turn it down, and end up walking out of there with $5.00. Some of the offers that the Banker gives them just brings out the true "greed" in some people, but its funny to watch them loose it all. Like the stay at home daddy, was offered $80,000 I think and they turned it down because the Twit of a wife said that she believed that the case he chose had the "Big Money" and it turned out to only have $5.00 in it. Those are the great times to watch, and see these people be total IDIOTS.

Posted by:Kelly Brunner | March 27, 2006, 04:32 PM

I think that some of the contestant's are a few fries short of a happy meal, that family man who is listening to his kids hollar no deal. Kids have no idea the valur of that much money. the banker is doing a good job, don't knock the job don't you wish you had it.

Posted by:Linda | March 27, 2006, 04:14 PM

Why aren't some of your offers more realistic! I think you shouldn't be able to go below a certain dollar amount for an offer no matter what suitcases are left. It keeps the game more interesting that way.

Posted by:Pat | March 27, 2006, 12:54 PM

The banker is an unecessary part of the show. It is proven when the game ends and Howie plays out what would have happened and the offers pop up in a second. The banker is just something to carry the show through. And please can the models stop with the fake frown and then the happy face with the mouth open? The show is not about them. Just open your case and leave the acting to actors.

Banker --> I think you do a great job in the offers that you make. It's those people that can't see the BIG Picture and the odds to know when to stop and when to cash in their chips. The monies you have offered people have been comparabable to the situation at hand. Some people just don't know when to quit and when they see a deal that is appetizing.
