The "geniuses" at NBC have asked me to write a blog about the show.  It's not like I don't have better things to do with my time.  Frankly, I'd prefer putting a fork in my own eye rather than waste further energy on any of you.

That said, the show's producers do tell me I get quite a bit of fan mail.  Now might be the time to respond to some of the more frequently asked questions I receive.  Yes, I am single, and no, working with 26 beautiful women isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Tonight Cathy Hamm the Queen of Spam returns to complete her game.  She did great last Monday, but don't be surprised if I toss her like a salad tonight.

Hi Banker! How r u? I am good, considering the show is not on anymore. I have to say, the banker is a little cheap, but he really is a big part of the show. Even if he is a computer program with an actor sitting in his little window, who would call Howie and tell him what the computer says? If the "banker" up there is real, rock on. Keep the offers truckin' and keep the contestant nervous. I know that watching the show is a lot different from being on it, but no matter what, you'll leave with more money than what you came on the show with. Now that is a good deal. :D Just from reading the comments some peeps post about u on here, it is VERY surprising that you get fanmail. If anyone is getting fanmail, it is probably Howie, maybe, if their lucky, the models. You know how you sometimes offer cars and stuff? Dude, this show is the best show ever the person that thought of this show is a geuness. I love how the banker can tell the fools from the not so smart ones. First he is nice and offers them a lot of money like $20,000-$30,000 and all the fools turn it down like they through that amount of money out in the tolit every morning, then on their next offer it is even higher but no "that not enough" or "we came a long, long way to get here" and turn it down again. Now there feelin like they got the banker beat you never a have the banker beat till it's over. Then they push their luck too for and now are just wishing they still had that number left on the board that they did not miss because howee said "rember you still have that $1,000,000 or $750,000 in play". Howee your a good guy but, it too obeuss when you go to a chimeral break, yes i know you have to pay for the prize money.

I think SOME contestants can be a bit greedy but the idea is to deal or not. Can't have people coming from so far not to try their luck for as much as possible. That's my MOS should I ever get on there. Not greed. My uncle got me hooked and now I can't stop watching. My daughter tells me all the time "mom they can't hear you" when I yell "don't take the deal" or otherwise. Definitely a cool game and go figure... all you have to do is open cases. There is no show that requires LESS brains than this one. Even "Wheel of Fortune" requires some language skills and some strategy... Even the stupid Millionaire show was more challenging, but again one had to remeber useless trivia, no proof of intelligence even if you won $1 million.

I lately watch "GREED" on re-runs but it is quite dissapointing, because they give large amounts ($25k, 50k, 75k and 100k) for Questions that Almost everybody knows the answers, so it is a waste of time, and only at $200k does it become challenging.

Mr. Banker, here's the difference: An old Nickelodeon game show called "Double Dare" (hosted by Marc Summers) uses both trivia questions and stunts, although the stunts are messy, of course. But on DOND, they use no trivia questions and no stunts! Wow! Now that is something easy for me to watch growing up.

Who in the world are you, why is your face so secret, and how did the people of "Deal or No Deal" cut off your voice? I'll be dying to know who you are soon.

Despite its unchallenging nature, the show is worth watching even only to see the (usually irrational) reactions of the players and the folks they have brought with them.

One obvious reason the first offer seems too low is that the Show WANTS the players to continue well beyond the first round.

Other times I find the offers rather generous (in the sense they are higher than what the math and the associated risk would dictate), but the damned fools do not take them!

It is fascinating, because most of these players are REALLY POOR and REALLY NEED THE $, and $200,000 would be PLENTY for every one of them, BUT their greed and the herd mentality takes over and they say "no deal" anyway, only to leave with.. $5 instead.

Most fo them are not destitute by accident,

remember: "A fool and his $ are soon parted".

Finally, isn't it fascinating how upset they are when they win $100,000 instead of $200,000? As if they were ENTITLED to $1,000,000 and even the smallest amount below that is a "loss" for theM?

They should view every amount as a WINNING, which is true (minus any expenses they had to attend the show, IF ANY).

hey ive only ever seen the highlights of deal or no deal, as i live in the uk, and watch the english version, which is slightly different as we have boxes and go up to £250,000 n only hav 21 or 22 boxes (not quite sure) but seeing the highlights you seem to be more generous with your offers than the english version, but although you give away more money from what ive seen the english version seems to hav ppl more involved which is nice to see ‘cos contestants have their own box to open for their mate they have got to know over the past few weeks they have been on the show

I watch the show every night it comes on and i have to say i love it!!! I have missed 5 episodes when i went ona cruise:( That was episodes 6-10. What was the lowest amounts and highest amounts won that week? Why don't u ever reveal yourself? It is crazy!!!! Howie should not stall us and say after the break he will tell us the offer. He makes it obvious when he is going to the break but the audience and the family and the contestant act shocked!!! He says something like, "You want to know the offer. {pause} The audience wants to know the offer. {pause} Im going to tell you the offer. {pause} Im going to tell the audience and your family the offer. {longer pause} Right after this word from our sponsors." What is your formula to calculate the offers? I want to go on the show but i am only 13!! When Kathy Ham, Queen of Spam came back on on Friday, me and my stepdad(who is an engineer) thought you would offer her 300,000 dollars because she took out most of the left side of the board and had 100, 200,300, 500, 750, and 1,000K left on the board. Reveal yourself!!!! My theory, along with a bunch of other people's theories, is that they just get a huge doll of a person and move its arms around. Another theory is that they make a shadow of a guy. I betcha Howie Mandel really makes the offers and you, "The Banker", are some made up character. Reveal yourself to prove me and a bunch of other people wrong and that you exist. Make it where your voice is heard through the phone, so that we can hear you talk. I hate when someone gets stopped at the end of a show and have to wait a few days before they continue because how do we know the amounts don't get changed around and moved to other suitcases!?!?!? Also it makes them lose their confidence and if they are doing really well, they might not do too good the next time. Also, you know nobody will take 15K or 19K, so why do you offer so low in the beginning??? Love the show....Some people are just TOO greedy. I have played the online game and won some big amounts on it but I think I would be WAY too nervous on the actual show. My husband thinks that sometimes the players look like they want to take the offer but they probably feel pressured to keep going by their family and the audience...Peer Pressure...OUCH!

I'm glad that this show has caught on. I enjoy watching as people squirm over the offers the banker spits out. Howie is a great host, not to fond of his stand up act, but a good host.

The banker does not even use his own brains. It is all generated via a computer with the odds which spits out the offer. The banker is just a figure, but not like the ones he offers. Heck I have seen better looking bankers playing Monoply.

I really thought she blew it when she turned down 187k. How can anyone pass that up? Yes, she could win 5x that if she is right, but the odds of winning are not that great. I just started to watch the show and I think it is great that you leave a little bit of mystery, but will you ever reveal yourself slowly?? I like the way you toss victims like a salad. Do you even consider the contestants your victims? You are doing a great job.

Your offers do tend to be too low. If you make them just slightly higher, with big numbers at the end. It might make them go for it.

I can honestly say that even my 3 old daughter loves this show. She gets so excited everytime a case is opened. She even likes to play the game on the internet.
