ERIN- Yes, I loved DWTS tonight, but I think I sent you Max's blog and the dancers are saying it's too much to learn in one week! I love Dmitry & Mya, but they weren't that great tonight. I know Donny & Kim will get lots of votes. Derek & Joanna did really well with the Mambo. So funny that her fake hair fell off!!! LOL! I gave my votes to shock of all shocks Aaron & Karina. I felt he did really well tonight. He tries so hard and the unusual turns they did and choreography was just great for me. I hope Michael and Louie go home tomorrow. It's long overdue! I'm glad you enjoyed the jitterbug. That show and dancing makes me happy. I know you get to watch it sooner than I do and yet you are on the same time zone as me!!! I hope you don't feel I'm being insensitive to life and death going on. I just wanted to comment on SYTYCD tonight. The USA version. This show was very special and I haven't even watched the whole thing yet. I usually save it for hubby and I to watch together, but I thought, "Oh, I'll just watch one dance." Well, forget that. I'm sucked right in. New stage, New show completely. The first number was choreographed by Wade Robson. So Freaking off the charts I can't tell you. What they are doing is show casing everyone's talents in their own style first. The second dance with 3 hip hop guys choreographed by Tabitha & Napolean. They were so excited to be working with guys who just get the dance right away. I was excited too. Off the charts too. Third dance choreographed by Tyce Diorio with 4 contemporary dancers. Unbelieveable!!! I have only watched half the show and it's 2am and I keep thinking I have to show this to hubby tomorrow before the 2 hour premier show. You can palpate the feelings of the choreographers working with kids that can do the dance they are teaching. It is a very unique show. Has anyone seen it??? I'm sorry if I sound so obessed about dance, but I just love it and it lifts your spirits up so much.

Just wanted to toss out an endorsement while I was thinking of it.
I don't get Showtime, but "United States of Tara" is one of the quirkiest, amazing shows on TV. I fell in love with it last year and watched all the episodes online. The new season starts Jan. 18, so anyone who thinks they may want to watch this year (you do have to wait awhile, but eventually they all come online) should watch last season now.
Start with episode 1 and watch them in order. Not always important, but with this show it IS.
The main character, a wife and mother, has multiple personalities and has decided to go off medication and allow them to integrate into her life. What ensues is at once hilarious, poignant, entertaining and sometimes heartbreaking.
It's a pretty heavy preliminary concept, but once you embrace it, the stellar writing and high quality performances will get a grip on you.
And, boy, will it ever make you feel NORMAL ... whatever that is!

My friend and her twins are going to come over and we are going to make some homemade decorations. i cant wait till xmas to hang what the girls make. I love those kind of memories. Before my mom passed i requested decorations from her. so now i have great memories to hang on the tree. a little piece of everyone. LOVE that.

I think it's duty as a cancer patient to make those who are well realize how fragile life is and how terrible it is if you waste it bit*hing about trivial things. Wake up and see that things aren't so bad and that everyday is a chance to change a life for the better. You'll read on my blog about my friend Bob who was recently sent home to die because there is nothing more they can do for him. It's a long 2 part post that will make you glad your alive even if you've lost your job or your home! I Declare, No More Pity Parties!

DocSwill, I read your blog. Wow you are an amazing writer. I think that when one has an illness, the hardest part is how others react to it. Either they dont get it, no matter how many times you tell them, or they feel sympathy. both are not helpful.

If i learned anything i would say it is to cut everyone else some slack that isnt ill, because they wont fully understand until they are in that position. So many times a day i think, oh Mom i understand now. Wish i could have been more supportive to her. but i just didnt get it until i was ill.

I have this beautiful friend. She has breast cancer that has spread to her ovaries, and brain. They tell her she is terminal. She laughs. says they dont know her very well. She has the most amazing attitude and after talking to her i feel so good. we just laugh and joke about illness. But she is in a much more serious predicament. Her strength and attitude amaze me.

I am crippled in fear for her. I have always believed i could make anything happen. i cant Will her better. I can move heaven and earth to make somethng happen but I cant knit a doctor to know how to heal her. so frustrating. It is hard to accept somethings are out of our control.

Dee ~ Do you see...she is your teacher and a damn good one if you ask me. Brave, honest, and fun while facing death. She gets it, and it sound like you do to...and don't beat yourself up about your mom, she knew how hard it was for you and that nobody can understand until they are in our shoes.

That's really what part 2 of the blog post is about. I'm hoping people learn on ALL levels and make changes now before it's too late.

ALI-KAT- Did you get any sleep? I slept until 2:45pm PT! I'm disgusted with myself, but then I was up all night. LOL! I have to quit turning night into day. At least I have left overs for hubby today and I'm just making an egg salad sandwich for myself!

I wish we could each make up some kind of inexpensive ornament that is representative of ourselves and then send one to each colony friend. I'd love to have an ornament on my tree representing each of you. Wouldn't that be fun? Probably too late to organize it this year ... Maybe next year though.

BEDBUG--I love Personal Creations. I have their Galway Crystal champagne flutes and a wedding ring quilt. I just started watching the Tara show on Showtime. Only about half way through season 1, but I agree it is a really good show. I sometimes wish I could have different personalities to handle different things. I could really use Buck some days! :)

DEE--I love the homemade ornaments too. Last year I made a bunch from a recipe Neblina shared. Every time I saw them I would think of her, it was really cool. They were perishable, but I know I will make them again this year. I also love to do the salt dough ornaments with the kids. I really did not decorate much for Halloween this year and have decided that next week I am going to get out my Christmas stuff. I am tired of waiting and then barely getting to enjoy it before it is January. Now when January comes around I will be ready to put it all away. At least in theory :)

((Bedbug)) I saw two episodes of United States of Tara. They were part of the 'extras' on the third season of DEXTER.
Toni Collette is wonderful. When I first saw her in "Muriel's Wedding' I knew she was going to do very well.
It's funny that Rachel Griffiths who was Toni's counterpart in MW is in 'Brothers & Sisters'.

Last year the show was so hit and miss. I kept hoping that it would get better, but it stalled so many times.
((DAWN)) I am hopeful that the show will stay on it's current path of putting a little fun amongst the 'drama'.

I"m glad SYTYCD USA is doing well. No cable so I will have to take a pass on it this season. It might come back to CTV next year.

DAWN...I've had egg salad sandwiches for the last 3 days! Some things just never change. LOL As far as being creative is concerned, you know that I'm not at all! LOL

Were you talking about the oranges that Neblina mentioned last year? Weren't they amazing? I loved the smell throughout the house while they were cooking! That's probably all I'll be doing this year.

DEE...I have to admit that I'm in awe of people like your friend. I don't know that I'd be that courageous if I were in her situation. I don't know if I'd be that strong.

ALI-KAT- Wanda Sykes is going to have a talk show on FOX every Sat at 10 or 11p? I think starting Nov 7th? I'm not near a calendar so not sure if that is a Sat?

ERIN- I don't do it much to jazz up egg salad, but sometimes if I have green onions I'll put some in. Sometimes put a bit of Paprika especially if I'm making deviled eggs. I know this sounds weird, but I have on occasion mixed green relish in to give it a different taste.

TERI-OMG, you know me too. If I had my choice I'd be having egg salad a lot more. Shaf was having fish and spanish rice tonight. If anyone doesn't know already Teri & I worked together for 4 yrs. We went out for lunch every day. Every day we said we'd have something different, but everyday we had egg salad sandwiches!!! I think once or twice we had omlets! I think we lost our minds! LOL!

BEDBUG (ROBIN)- Can you have egg salad on your diet? I hope you can if you are craving it.

CRAIG- I'm sorry that you can't view SYTYCD. I thought that A channel was Canadian? The show tonight wasn't as great as last night in their own genres. TRAVIS WALL was choreographing so I was happy to see that. I feel they should have sent the girl home with the insured knee instead of the girl they sent. Oh well, I know you aren't watching it. What will I do??? Ha!

DWTS- I sure don't know who is voting for Michael Irving on DWTS? It's good Louie went home tonight though. He dropped Chelsie on her bum and kept going!!! LOL!! Melissa was better than Michael I feel?

DEE- Your nice new Auburn hair sounds lovely! I'm sorry your friend is going through such hard times. I agree with Brian that she is teaching you something.

It is so funny to see her on talk shows etc with her accent....as most movies she is without it. Such a great actress.

DAWN.. I did not get to see any SYTYCD...But will look for it on here later... I was really sorry that Louie and MIchael did not BOTH go home! I thought Melissa was the over all better dancer....but I guess he has the bigger fan base which will unfortunately keep him in.. I think they are going to have to work with the voting in the future somehow..It really should be the better dancer..not the more famous or well liked personality?

I know people who put relish in tuna...and it was pretty good actually if I remember correctly.. but not tried ever in egg salad. I sometimes would mash up an avacado in mine and no mayonnaise!! Horrors I know!! LOL

I just spent 2 1/2 hrs with ANT and the firemen of Riverside's station 1
we had dinner, ANT slid down the firepole, ANT donned a firesuit and helmut, and we rode in the fire truck with ladder, he brought Mr G with him and I got puppy kisses (he was so behaved and cute) so was Mr G hehehe
the firemen were good looking and very entertained by ANT, they exchanged gifts and the night went by too fast
so that was my mystery

Happy Thursday! My favorite TV night of the week! ( don't judge me, lol!)

My oldest now has the creeping crud and I am so frustrated. His school has a strict attendance policy. Without doctors note they can end up failing school. But I just took him to the doctor on Monday for a physical (where ironically he was in perfect health) The doctors offices here are asking parents not to bring in their sick kids unless they meet certain criteria to avoid contamination. They have also said that they won't test for Swine flu because the insurance companies have deemed the test too expensive. So where are they getting the statistics for Swine flu? Anyway....this flu/cold season has sucked so far, am I right?!

NANCY--so fun that you got to do that with ANT!! It sounds like it was wonderful!
