My favorite perfume is by Estee Lauder and called Beautiful. I just love the scent of it, too bad I only have three samples, but they are nice size samples that came with Momma's purchase of her favorite scent, which I can't remember what it is. At the time she bought them, you could ask for samples in other fragrances and that is how I got mine.

Hey Colony! Just wanted to say ta ta for now. :) I leave early this morning for Omaha and fly out this evening for Minneapolis to meet up with the one and only Dr. Donna!!!
I'm too excited to even think straight lol. And then Thursday morning we fly out together to Seattle. I'm packing now thinking "What am I doing again? Is this actually happening?" It just hit me this morning that I'm going, because at this time last week, I was 150% sure that it wasn't going to happen for me.
Did I mention that this is my very first vacation? I've never traveled like this before, and for happy reasons. So I'm excited to say that the first Colony picnic bash is my first trip. :)
I'm thinking of all of you who can't make it. Part of me feels really guilty. Just know you're in our thoughts. xo.

Well, I am back from the doctor and she just called and cut my fluids down by half to start with. I love to drink water, so now I can't drink as much as I'd like too. While there they did an EKG because my chest, stomach and back sometimes hurt from being tight. I told her I thought it was anxiety, but she wanted to make sure so I have an appointment with a heart doctor on Friday. Now for the good news "In 36 POUNDS I will be down a 100 POUNDS since I started this diet in Feb. I lot of it has been the water weight I gained and lost a couple of times, but before then I was three pounds lighter than I am now last April before the water weight came back with a vengence. I still have water weight in my legs that hurts to the touch, but not awful painful, just enough to wake me in the middle night hurting so that I can't find a comfortable place to lay my legs even though the rest of me is quite content.

Well, I am going to lay down now. I am tired.

Oh I have discovered I have collar bones! I never felt them before because they were covered with fat! Isn't that neat? I think it is.

And all the pills I am taking are working. My vitamin level is good, my blood count is good now and the calcium I am taking also seems to be doing me some good especially since I have to take twice the daily limit.

I want to share a recipe. My daughter brough a cake to our Fourth of July that was the hit of the party. Try it. You'll see!
Margarita Cake

INGREDIENTS:
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup lime juice (not limeade; use fresh or from the bottle.. can be found near ReaLemon in grocery store) 1/4 cup tequila
2 tablespoons triple sec liqueur
Glaze (you will make 2 regular batches and 1 “customized” see below)
• 1 cup confectioners' sugar
• 1 tablespoon tequila
• 2 tablespoons triple sec liqueur
• 2 tablespoons lime juice
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour (use PAM for baking) a 10 inch Bundt pan.
2. In a large bowl combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, water, lime juice 1/4 cup tequila and 2 tablespoons triple sec. …beat for 2 minutes.
3. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

4. To make the Regular glaze: In a small bowl, combine confectioners' sugar with 1 tablespoon tequila, 2 tablespoons triple sec and 2 tablespoons lime juice. Mix until smooth.

5. Immediately make several holes in cake with a straw. Pour 1st batch of glaze on the cake. Cool in pan for 15 minutes; remove to rack put something underneath to catch drippings…I placed on the serving plate. Pour second batch of glaze.

6. Cool for 1 hour then drizzle with customized glaze.

To make customized batch of glaze:
2cups confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon tequila
2 tablespoons triple sec liqueur
3tablespoons lime juice

SYTYCD- I loved Brandon & Janette tonight. Wow, both dances were Fanstastic, but the last one did it for me. I think he will win the finale. I think the girls are better than the guys this season. I do love Melissa, Ade & Janette.

I refuse to keep tearing up while reading about everyone meeting each other!!!!! Craig and Donna are at the airport about to spank Chris! Seems sorta surreal doesn't it?!
Anyone hear if Donna/Hartldo is around yet? She had surgery today.
My "lancing" was at 11 and OMGravy!!! The doc said the numbing shot would hurt so I asked her for something to bite on. She gave me the tube thing they do poo samples in!?! HA!HA!HA! I asked her if it was "new". I also asked her if she would do like dentists do, put a bit of stuff in, then wait a minute, then go back in. It stung but I lived.
1/2 of the area was numb and I tell you, I am sooooo glad I asked for something to bite on. I yelled like a dork. It still hurt.
Anyway. Enough info about that.
I also didn't know that she "packed" it after and that was a surprise to me and I didn't know how long to leave it packed etc. Hopefully the healing will go well and that will be it. A 'special' experience I don't want to relive.

Im having fun picturing the look on Ants face when Donna gives him my sloppy kiss. and he tries to get over his wet cheek while trying to figure out who Dee is. LMAO.

Steph i would love nothing more than to meet up with you and some of my closest some time. I too feel maybe after i fix these teeth. and hair ever grows back out. and i have body builders body. well screw that. Who cares about that stuff. oh i dress like a hick too. would have to find clothes that wouldnt embarrass you all if you were seen with me. but then hell even if i looked okay i would probably embarrass someone with antics. lol. im just that kinda girl. but im good with that.

We would enjoy each others company so much that silly stuff we wouldnt care about. Im sure those are insecurities all worry about when meeting, but forget that noise. When friends meet it will be the sparkle in others eyes that they remember.

I would go to a place with you! We could ban all cameras and videos and anyone caught "judging peoples' looks" would be tossed in a pool of stinky mud and then made to wear a big tan bag that cinched unattractively at the neck.
I take horrifying photos.
I dress like someone who doesn't have any hope with fashion because I am not built like a Hanger.
It is sad that thoughts like feeling judged by such trivial stuff even enters our minds...... but people judge..... even those in the colony.

If I show up in summer.... I will be wearing jeans and a loose t-shirt and sandals with no heels.
If it if is winter or any other time I can get away with it... a sweatshirt or sweater.
I guess if I had a rockin bod it would be different. Maybe. I still would never spend big money on clothing or "looks" stuff. I just don't find it important.
But that's just me.
I just want to be that person who doesn't hate how I look. Then I won't care what others' think.

Beauty is such a person definition. My definition doesnt fit Donald Trumps. Big boobs, fake smiles doesnt make beauty. I think most people with any depth can see that. I dont have to see a picture of Emjay to know she is beautiful. I see in how she expresses herself in her art in her writing.

I am a hanger. LOL. but the things i hang on me sure have nothing to do with fashion. could care less. its how it feels and how it makes me feel. like Jack says "that looks good. you are smiling".

I used to play the part. with the clothes and makeup. and with superficial beauty one can get away with alot and gets treated better but in false way for false reason.

Now i only wear makeup when trying to video for Ali so not as to scare her too much. and i dont dress up. people do treat me differently. but its real and its fun.

People are at their most beautiful being themselves. i mean who is more beautiful than the uncle who shows up wearing his fedora and flipflops.

Hi EVERYONE! Wow you guys are awesome! I too feel like I need a makeover to go to the next colony picnic. I know it is dumb, because it just is, but it is how I feel. When I first started posting here I did not have myspace or facebook. I had no idea what anyone looked like. I was drawn to everyone because of their kindness or their humor or both. When I was able to start putting faces to names, it was really cool. So many people looked just like I thought they would and EVERYONE is so beautiful that it always shocks me to hear that they don't think so. Each of you that I have seen has a trait that is so unbelievably attractive. STEPH has the most gorgeous hair and hair color. It positively glows. DEE is like a little Tinkerbell/Pippi combo that will just make you smile. EMJAY's smile and eyes are so beautiful and welcoming. HEIDI's eyes are wonderful and so pretty! NEBLINA--she is as beautiful as her words are here. SO many more beautiful people at the picnic. I will just have to keep imagining Dawn, Ali, Jazi, Teri and everyone I haven't seen until I actually get to meet them. I hope that I can go to the next picnic and that I won't care if I have lost weight, bought new clothes, found the perfect hairstyle ( but I probably still will ) but hopefully it won't keep me from going. He found Donna and Kristen at Applebee's. (VERY COOL!) He went to the airport to meet Chris. Chris made it with his sense of humor still intact. Donna has been to the Space Needle. They had a get together last night and it looked fun. Janine was with her cute doggie and looking lovely. Beck is in town and I haven't heard about Robin. I am sure there are updates I am missing, but that is the gist of what I have heard so far. They have shared in a much more fun and interesting way, so apologies for my recap!

Im trying to keep my cool. Hubby decide good way to rid weeds in the walkway was to use big blow torch. melted half my plants. burnt the landscape ties. aghhhhh! a big mess. looks like little forest fire hit. deep breaths.

COLONY BASH 2010

I'm officially nominating the TWIN CITIES, Minneapolis and St. Paul to host the next Colony BASH during the summer of 2010.
.

- We have an International airport, for our Canadian (and ALL International) friends.
- We are centrally located for those who prefer to drive, bus or train to this location.
- We have the Mall of America with Nickelodian World located very near the airport - super duper family friendly, not to mention the SHOPPING (for those who are so inclined...lol).
- There is a ton of public transportation available in the area.
- I'm willing to take on any/part of/all of the planning and legwork on this end to set things up.
- There are great comedy venues in town; if it so happened that ANT (and Jason) were to get booked for a show, we could ALL be there.
- Minnesota in the summer time is beautiful; typically not too hot, and certainly not too cold.
- We reside in the Land of 10,000 lakes, so the opportunity for a beachfront BASH is easily attainable.

There's a "Taste of Minnesota" festival in July with great barbeque, etc... The MN State Fair is at the end of August... there are LOTS of fun things going on in the summertime that would allow us to plan around other activities, there would be FUN FOR EVERYONE!! I have a backyard with a big fire pit where we could roast marshmallows and make S'mores if we want...LOL!! Just say the word, and the machine will be in motion. I'm game if y'all are. :o)

There are big shoes to fill - I need to say thank you again to ANT, Janine, and Lydia, and EVERYONE who worked to make this weekend a success. It was amazing, and we were ALL able to participate - whether in person or online, our GROUP was intact. ((COLONY))

I'm too tired to even type lol. But I do want to say to everyone who couldn't make it - I thought of you daily. I really, really hope I can meet those of you who couldn't come another time. I felt like I was with my family these last few days. I just can't believe it's over. I'll share my stories later, but I need sleep now. I love you colony.
