Hi there colony! I can't view the video yet, so it may still be uploading. I am hoping I am the first commenter, if so, it will also be the first time I was ever first!

I had really great plans for an Easter blog post and totally flaked out because I decided an Easter day nap was way more fun. I'll have to do a belated Easter blog, and share our strawberry soup with you all!

This week in my life.......

Paper wasps won't let me take a nap in our hammock.

My husband is out of town and I get freaked out that burglars know it and are going to pick this week to rob us.

I started a diet yesterday and am already missing dark chocolate. It's all Ghirardelli's fault. One day. I can resist...... dark chocolate is my kriptonite.

Costco sent us a letter telling me not to eat the bag of mixed nuts and dried fruit because I could get sick with salmonella, but we finished off the bag 2 months ago, and I'm not sick.

I fed my family strawberry soup on Easter and my daughter and her boyfriend shared eating theirs out of a 48 ounce martini glass.

I'm having a secret affair with Green Tea with Jasmine. Please don't tell english breakfast, it will always be my first love.

I think most, if not all of us have been in a similar hole trying to find a way to climb out and feel genuine happiness again. I think there are times when we have lost something so precious and irreplaceable to us, that we deny ourselves permission to feel real joy again. It's normal to feel guilty and so we stay stuck in our hole. I can't think of one time I ever was able to get out of the hole by myself. It took me reaching out to friends and family before I was able to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and feel hopeful again.

You are always in my prayers, and I don't feel I need any apology for your absence from the blog is necessary. I have not been let down in any way. You have been through some really devastating events, and healing takes time. Take all the time you need. It would make me sad to think you were more overwhelmed and stressed out thinking you were letting your fans at the colony down by not posting daily. Just allow yourself permission to be human, and not have to be sunny and perky and present here daily. I think your real fans prefer you do what's healthy for YOU, than add more weight on your shoulders.

Gee i think i channeled my mom for a minute. Ant You have been amazing. I am moved just by watching your strength thru this difficult time. I think you are more than generous with your time. With shows and meeting colony members and going to the picnic. You already give alot.

Your real friends wont leave because you are busy. They will be grateful for time you do have. You have spoiled us with daily blogs but myself i just want to say thanks for all you do already. I doubt many people give as much time and care to their fans and friends than you do.

Always here for you no matter what. I can completely understand what you mean. Sometimes I feel like I am on top of the world that I can beat this thing. Then there are times I get beat down so far that I too am down that hole. That is what I love about the Colony. They always are there to pull me back up. You have a wonderful group of friends that love you and we are always willing to help pull you up :) Please take care of you. We will be here when you need us.

I just downloaded some songs on Itunes and my Ipod. I've been meaning to do it for awhile and had a list going. It all takes quiet time. Middle of the night is good except then no sleep. It always seems the darn thing needs updating to the new version too! Ahhhhh!!!!

Oh Ant, you've not let me down. I know it is tough going right now, we all know it and are here for you. We are like greedy little children, of course we want a daily fix of you, but you are a live human being, not a co-operation that has many people answering the phones and you can't do this all the time without burn out. So rest my friend, do what you absolutely have to to get by each day and not worry about us. We'll be here if for no other reason than we care about each other as well as you.

Ok, for those of you who know we took Darlin into the Vet. The lump on her leg turned out to be what we'd hoped it would be, nothing more than a fat nodule. She also doesn't have Cushing Disease and her arthritus isn't so bad yet so we are to continue giving her half a gluscosmine in the morning and the other half in the evening. All in all, she is a very healthy dog at 10. Oh, at night Darlin and David have this thing about her dinner. When he comes down to get ice-cream she will stand guard over her dinner and eats it all so David can't eat it. We don't understand why, but it sure helps to get her to eat. We told Dr. O'Toole this and he said it sounds like she is playing some sort of game that only she knows the rules too. All we know is when he comes downstairs, she rushes to her dog dish and eats it all up so David can't have any. ::shakes head:: My Momma told me to tell David not to eat that baby's dinner and David just grinned.

ANT....I agree all that has already been said..you do MORE than anyone could for all of us! Above and Beyond always. All we want is for you to take care of yourself...and not add extra worry. We are not going anywhere! You have a crazy schedule and a lot of other things to cope with. We have all been in that hole...just have to know some days are going to be like that. You are doing a LOT these days! Your schedule would overwhelm anyone even without all the extra burdens you have had to carry.

I know making video blogs takes a lot of work....how about you just write out a short blog when video etc just not something you have it in you to do? Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of the day I came out to my parents. It was a day of reflection for me as I looked back over this past year. Although there were ups and downs this year, it has been one of the happiest years of my life. Now, I just to find the right girl for me.

Hang in there Ant! On a personal note, I lost a very close friend almost three years ago. At first, I could not recover at all. Then minutes were good, then hours, days months and now? Well, I think of Amy every day but I can now smile when I remember. Tears may still come occasionally but usually warm smiles. I even wear a little "A" pendant around my neck in rememberence. I do that because I had felt like I was betraying her by being happy. It seemed to help me.

ANyway, I want you to know you will get through it all. Be patient with yourself. We love you. xoxo

ANT-- You are amazing, worrying about us, when you have been going through so much. I am always happy to see a new blog, but also know what it is like to be in that hole. I was in that hole when I found this place and I will always be so grateful to you and everyone here for helping me out of it. You may not have known you were helping me, but you were. Even now, there are times that I come here and read because I feel the hole drawing me in. It is a magical place you have created here. So thank you so much and please let us help you when you are ready. If you need a laugh you should read what everyone is planning to do with Flat BedBug! She is going to be the ambassador of the colony picnic, going all over the world. I got quite a few questions when I was taking her picture at the Hoover Dam (mostly from security, lol! )I even asked the security guard to let me take his picture with her, but he politely declined :)

Thanks for all the nice comments about my video. I cannot wait to see what everyone else does. From what I have read, she is in for some serious fun!

If you ever feel too overwhelmed or that you're about to fall in that hole again, we'll be here to catch you. You have to allow us, or anybody for that matter, to help you though. I think there are certain times where we need to walk alone, and there are times where we need someone to walk alongside us...but if you ever feel like you need a hand to help you, you have us. You can let us know if you need to walk alone, or with someone...and we'll be here.
You've been there for me at times where I needed someone and no one else was around. I want to return the favor to everyone who has helped me through difficult times. And you are one of them Ant. Even when I don't comment, I'm still here. Even when I leave home again and can't visit the colony everyday, I'm still here. I gave you my email address for a reason. I'll never stop thinking of you and praying for you. You could be a 'celebrity' or a garbage truck driver, and it won't matter to me. You could have thousands or millions of viewers, or just 2 or 3, and it won't matter to me. You could post happy blogs or sad blogs, and it won't matter to me. I care about you as a damn good human being who has changed my life in ways I can't even begin to express. I wish I could be here at the colony everyday, but like you said...life changes...life happens. But I'll never walk away. Whenever you don't post a new blog, that's when I say an extra prayer and hope you're doing ok. I could never leave this place for good though. xo.

John Davidson was the very first celebrity performer I ever saw when I was a wee little girl. (I wouldn't have even thought of it as a "concert," because I wasn't old enough to go to concerts. But this was with my family.)

Hey everyone in Chapter 27 I actually wrote 2 or 3 paragraphs about making love to each other. I'm so proud of myself!!!! I don't think I will get any more elaborate than this latest foray into writing sex scenes for my characters, but I did write more than "and they kissed." (struts around as proud as a peacock) LOL.

DEE...Thanks! I was out to several close friends a few years before I came out to my parents. But, until I came out to my parents, I felt like I was living two lives because I couldn't be myself when I was around them.

Just got home from the hospital. Brit is 29 weeks pregnant and her amniotic fluid is leaking. There are several ways this could go...
.
Best case scenario: the leaking stops and stays stopped for a few days and they put her on complete bed rest at home.

Or, they keep her in the hospital until the baby is born. As of yet, she has not had any contractions which is a good thing. IF she starts having contractions she will be moved to the hospital in downtown Fort Worth because it has the best NICU. They are doing a sonogram tomorrow to check the baby and the fluid levels. Her doctor doesn't thing she will make it much more than a week before the baby is born.

So, we are going to be optimistic and hope for the best. Thanks for all your thoughts and well wishes.
