YOU HAVE INFINITE POWER & INFINITE POTENTIAL. REPEAT.

If you ask yourself if you make a difference, take a look at today's video blog. I am always in awe at how much you give so freely of yourselves. It's inspiring.

Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day I would love to have a marathon live chat day for the folks who might need a little company or those just staying home or those that just love to gab...

The ANT Colony TV station allows me to give live broadcast rights to anyone with a live webcam and mic. So if you want to participate and can commit to one hour on either or both days (plus a few minutes to test your cam on the broadcast site before Christmas Eve Day), drop me a line and let me know - giving me a few choices of the hour or two and which day you want....There are a lot of lonely people out there...Please join me in making sure that every one from the colony has a place to go (cyberspace is a place). Together we do make a difference!

BEAUTIFUL ANT ♥♥♥♥

Be well my friend. Ant, you truly are loved by me and the colony. Thanks for the video and for being here. xoxo

I just finished watching the elderly woman in California who was beaten and put in the trunk of her car. She is the cutest, sweetest person ever. When asked how she was doing, she said you have to stay positive and life goes on. She is amazing!! A couple of years ago, I had a vacuum salesman come to my door, and when I told him I wasn't interested, he pushed his way in and started wandering all over the downstairs of my house. I was so scared, I started calling upstairs like someone was up there. I was alone with my then 3 year old. When he thought my husband was home, he left. Since then I have no soliciting signs at the end of my driveway, on my front door. I never answer my door now unless I really know the person on the other side and my children are not allowed to answer the door if I am not here, even if they know the person. Be safe today EVERYONE!

Mrs Bean #1 all day
countdown 9 more days til Christmas
and 8 til live chat yippee

.
What a great idea ANT - you are the bestest!
.
Congrats Mrs. Bean
.
So happy for the good doggie news, Bedbug. Give that boy a scratch bethind the ears and a hug from Auntie Ami. You know it was all a rouse to get him a new dog bed! LOL
.

Speaking of pups, ANT, when you started whistling, one of my dogs started barking! I guess she was telling you hi (woof!)
.
Stay warm everyone. Sending x's & o's to all that are reading this.
.

Repost from Area 51
.
.
HI BedBug - State law requires that anyone stating that an animal has had a rabies must prove it with a Rabies Certificate. It's a legal document and requirement as Rabies is a Public Health Risk.
.
If you don't do it for yourself, then please do it for a child that might walk in there and get bitten.
.
They should not let anyone handle that biting chinchilla, and especially if it has not had a rabies vaccination. Since I am in rescue, I have to do my PSA. I wish it were against the law to sell live animals in any retail store. It's not good for anyone - especially the animals. (off my soapbox)
.
If you go to a doctor or ER room to at least get antibiotics (even if isn't rabies you should get antibiotics for the potential nasty infection you can get), you will have to tell them what bit you and the name of the Pet Store. They then report it to the state authorities, who will check out the pet store.
.
Love you,
Ami
.
PS Hope the guilt things works on you. I really am worried about you - but if you won't do it for you - do it for the next potential innocent victim.

Good morning all!
ANT ~ I think that's a great idea. The only sad part on my end is that I will not be able to participate at all. We are leaving on Christmas Eve morning and will be gone all day and then traveling Christmas Eve night into the wee hours of Christmas Day.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY.

ANT...I don't have a web cam but will try to participate in the chatter. I have company coming on Christmas Eve and have to prepare the meal but will try to poke my nose in. Great idea.

MRS. BEAN...Congrats on #1. OMG how terrifying about that vacuum salesman! A few years ago I had a very strange neighbor get in my house while hubby was out in the garage and he scared me half to death. He said he heard voices telling him to come in but luckily I was able to get him to leave. My whole attitude changed after that. I never leave the doors unlocked and I never answer the door unless I know who's there. My family and friends know to call first.

BEDBUG...Great news about doggie! Give him a hug from me too :) I too am concerned though about the chinchilla. I totally agree with AMI.

AMI...Great advice to BEDBUG. I bought my dog from Petland (before I knew about them) but after we were informed my sister asked them if they got their puppies from puppy mills and they denied it! Do you know if it's the same in Canada as in US? Thanks for all the great advice.

HI TO DEE (waiting for the sled hehe), CRAIG & CHRIS (thanks for the chuckles), HELGA (Hope you had a great b-day), JAZZY, RENEE EVE, DAWN (did you get my spoons?), {{{KAT}}}, NANCY (LOAing fantastic Christmas to you too:)), GINGER (love 'My Precious' analogy LMAO), KANDYED (hoping the power gets on asap), LOIS LANE, LEMON DEB, STEPH, ALI-KAT (desserts, of course! LOL), EF, {{{NEBBY}}}, TLJ, SCRAPPYSMOM, KIM, AND EVERYONE NOT MENTIONED......

HAVE A WARM AND SAFE DAY. LOVE TO ALL

HI RENIN. We must have been posting at the same time. LOL

hi guys! *blushes* guess ANT didn't see thee for ANT only on the mailing package :) At least he didn't show the inside front cover :)

I had an epifany come after watching the video I shoulda added everyone's b-days into it! *thwacks self* geez!

Hope everyone is well!

Peace and love,

**This list is from Christmas Day 2007. I know it needs some updating! So if you aren't on the list, please send me your order - and if you are on the list and want to change your name or order, let me know that too. I want to get it perfect by Christmas morning. : )

AMI ANT - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the refreshments coming back for Christmas! To celebrate the Holidays, I'd love to order a Vanilla Latte. Thanks so much!!

Just caught up on area 51, all the fun stuff happens after I go to bed :) Loving the song JAZZY! BEDBUG--I am so happy for your family and your dog, and I love the crib mattress idea, someone should start selling cute crib sheets with doggy bones on them or something. I cannot believe you got bit! I hope it heals up for you quickly. KANDYED--I hope the power comes on way before the estimated time, that is no fun. Last year my parents lost power for three weeks, they live in Buffalo, and they were having to be very creative with their eating. They were using the hot chocolate packets and mixing them up and putting them on cereal. They were keeping some of their groceries on the porch, because it was cold enough. When I lived in Alaska, the students at the University would use pillow cases to hold milk and whatnot and hang them out their dorm windows, it always looked funny. TERI--Is your neighbor okay now? That would have been scary! I hope he got help, that made me sad for some reason. HI GRETCHEN, SO CAL NANCY, JEANNE FROM NC, RENIN77, and AMI ANT! AMI--I would love a Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. Thank you ♥ HELGA--It was so great to see your post, I am glad you are able to take the pain meds. I hope it helps you tolerate the healing time. HI TO EVERYONE ELSE WHO POSTS AFTER ME and EVERYONE just reading. We are having a major snow storm since last night and it is snowing hard right now. I am not going to complain, but I really HATE it :)

Sounds like a lovely idea ANT

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Ant! You are fantastic! To offer chat on Christmas eve or Christmas! Woohoo! I love that. I worry about our friends who are alone too. I wish i could bring you all here.

When i lived in Chilliwack. i always had Christmas and Thanksgiving at my house for my friends in the military that couldnt get time off or no family. Those were the best times.

Hey Craig. i was trying to impress you not scare you away. so sorry for that impression of nakedness. lol.

What a great day! I saw Helga here and Ami. and Ami's long list of last years colonites was nice to see. For those no longer at the colony I wish you the very best Christmas.

and for those of you that are... well lets get ready to bring in 2009 with a BANG. or whatever way you prefer.. lol.

oh one other thing..

GREAT BIG HAPPY DANCE FOR RUFF!!!
Bedbug! That is the best news!

Its a good day today!!!

GOODMORNING EVERYONE
.
BEDBUG- I give myself injections everyday in my abdomen. Easy. I agree with Ami to get the shot.
.
Ami-Ant- Even though it's Christmas I still like my Ice Cold POG! I'm on my count down to Hawaii in Feb when I can drink it everyday!! Yippee!!!
.
ANT- Hubby works Christmas Eve day so hopefully I can join the chat at the 10am time. I do not have web cam so just join in with everyone. I just have to make crab dip etc for the evening which won't take me too long to do.
.
TERI- I got your spoons. I feel better today thanks.
.
MRS BEAN- Stay warm with your bad weather. Don't go out unless you have to. I never answer my door or my phone. If the person tells me on my answering machine who they are then I will pick up if I'm able. I don't have call display.

MRS BEAN...That is a scary story...I am glad you were okay! Smart thinking on your part! It is sad but you really can NOT just answer the door anymore....too scary. I never answer it! LOL I did not see the story with the woman but so glad she is alright.
.
AMI ANT....Nice to see you and thanks so much for the holiday delivery!
.
ANT ...That is wonderful about all the cards! Also I love that you are thinking of all of us and doing that for Christmas and Christmas Eve... What a wonderful and thoughtful idea. I know I for one will be stopping by. I am not looking forward to the holidays much at all. The days when family was all still here and we all were together have long since past and now just have those wonderful memories.
.
Did you hurt your wrist or is it carpal tunnel? I have a brace the same. Hope it gets better... Step away from the computer!!!
.
Have a great day everyone....

Oh..is it just me or does anyone else think this is a great commercial?? .:) ( as far as commercials go!!)
I love it!
.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lctyIEQ1GcA

Hey all. Just a quick hello, my family is still here and not expected to get their power fixed until......brace yourself............some time in January. What a mess it is here.

Ant you are so kind!
I sure will make it in both day's for a bit~

TAKE CARE
HAVE FUN
XXXO

Hi Ant Colony

peace and smile's

{{{Ali-Kat}}}- I must have heard that commercial from the living room while I was doing dishes, because I've been sing that song all day and that's the only words I know of the song! LOL I think it's a great commercial!
.
I hope you have and are making exceptional new Holiday memories with your son. It's the strength of the love, not the amount of people coming together. Two can make as much love as twenty!
Merry Christmas to you and your's and Happy New!
.
*This won't be the only time you read this from me before then! Just the first!

Amit ANT- k I got my drink! a tall godiva hottie chocolate with a shot of kahlua please :)

AmiANT ~ I thought I was on that list, but apparently not. Anyway, I would please like to get a Grande Cinnamon Dolce Latee with no whip. :0) Thanks!!

Ali Kat ~ I love those Sears commercials too. There are several with different people on each one, but all with that same song. I have loved Five for Fighting for years. It's been probably 10 years since I've been listening to them and WAY back then, I did go to one of their concerts. It was great!
Anyway, has anyone seen this commercial this year?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGl0FaM0zn0
As for commercials, I don't generally like them, but sometimes the holiday ones get me. I just found out that this one has been around since 1990 and I LOVE it. I actually wrote to Hershey's a couple of weeks ago to tell them how much I like it. I know...lame, but it makes me smile every time and I've seen for what seems like all of my life. I hope that every year it's going to be on again, and it has been...never fail.
Better get off of here. I have two final exams to take yet and then I'm done until after New Year's, but I need to study and I'm procrastinating. I don't know why, because I just want to be finished.
HI TERI!!

:) A latte....not a latee hehehe

Hi all, thanks for the blog today Ant, needed it. Christmas is tough for me. Still struggling with my losses, its so new still. Didn't want to celebrate, but my hubby reminded me that we do have reason to mark Christmas. Was my brothers fav holiday. Thanks for all the kind words. HUGGS

(((JanetNCT)))
So sorry. It must be hard.
I know for me, even after several years, Christmas can still be tough because I lost my grandma, who I was SO close to, right before Christmas. Every year I am reminded of it. For me it never goes away...it just gets a little easier.

GINGER ♥ ..What are you doing up?? LOL I am glad someone else thinks that is great commercial...The song stays in my head. Thank you for the kind words about the holiday....I will try but it is just not the same anymore.. :) But your words help...the strength of the love is there for sure.
.
JEANNE....that sounds like one sure to warm you up drink! :)
.
RENIN77..... glad you like it too!.....Oh I enjoy Five for Fighting ...every song seems to be a good one. It must have been great to see them in concert..... I love that Hershey commercial as well....especially the little "whew" at the end!! I also love the commercial with the Santa and the M&M......"he does exist"...."they do exist" ...etc :) Good Luck with your exams!

Well I was not really writing to Ginger AND to Hearts!! guess I forgot...LOL ♥ is that not right??
.
If doesn't work...well.. You know what I mean!! lol

Ami Ant-

Awwwwwe I'll have what Jeanne is having! Dang!
That sounds great! I'll add a little whipped cream on top!
.
*I love that you are bring back the
barista! Are you wearing your little uniform too?
.
Also- IF you go to light
a candle in
~*~*RICHARD'S ROOM*~*~
.
http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=RPS
.
You can light MORE than one! ♥

it is a very good drink :) we tend to do it as a night cap. godiva hot chocolate is sbout the only kind that won't bother my husbands or my stomach. although he will only do the regular. I have yet to try the dark chocolate. :)

So many great ideas today. I'll try and pop in the chat on both days. My family always does the forced get-together thing that none of us ever want to do lol. So I'll try to pull away for a little bit and visit with everyone here. ANT, stay strong. I know the holidays are tough, but there's always someone here. If you ever come online and wanna chat, there are a lot of people who I'm sure would love to talk with you and keep you company. Including me. (by the way, is your arm ok? I hope so.)
I'm already starting to save up for the Colony gathering. I don't know if my mom will let me go, I can already see her saying no to it, but....what the hell, I'm 18 - I'm going!
JanetNCT - hang in there. Renin77 said it, it doesn't go away, but it does get easier. This was my late aunt's favorite time of year and it's always hard. But your loved ones would want you to be happy. If it's their favorite holiday - make it a good one. :) You have the Colony's support.
Ami ANT - I'd love a mocha frappuccino with whip please! :D
(((COLONY))) ♥

In need of thought and prayers please...

I don't know much but my brother-in-law just called. My mother-in-law is on her way home from Mexico and all my father-in-law told the boys is to "take care of mom". I am scared.

My in-laws live on their sailboat from December to June in Mexico. They left Thanksgiving week this year and drove down to their boat.

My father-in-law called and said that mom was on a flight home and would be arriving at 11:09 PM Tuesday night. The boys are all driving up tonight to get her. We don't know what is wrong. We don't know how long whatever has been happening has been going on. We know nothing. My father-in-law is not on the plane with her. He is still in Mexico.

What I do know is that the boys are driving up to Portland in the middle of this ice, snow, 20 degree temp weather we are having. I am nervous for them to drive up and then back. Normally it is a 1.5 hour drive from our house....

Any thoughts and prayers would be much appreciated. (Sorry for the long post.....)

Wow, it's hard not to know what's going on, Steph! I'll be thinking of you, and the family, and waiting for an update. ((HUGS))

(((STEPH))) Keep us updated. I'll be praying. xox.

Did anyone else see that streak of red go past? Andrea! Great to see you.

Thank you all so very much. I figure all the good thoughts and prayers couldn't hurt. (In my mind I am thinking that if she is ok enough to fly it may not be that serious......)

ANDREA
You were quick! Love and hugs to you. We miss you around here!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt-K5w1PFMo This is so odd but cute, if you love animals---it should give you a smile!

STEPH- I'm here and sending calming vibes up to your place~~~~
Hang on, we are all here for you until you and yours are all together and through whatever this is.

Ant..What a wonderful idea about the live chat marathon..Now noone will have to be alone. :)
.
I don't celebrate Christmas because I'm Jewish and nothing is open so I will be home and will love to join everyone for the live chat but unfort I don't have a vid cam, so I will be typing, watching and listening.

Wish the weather was better there...but they will be fine. Let us know when they get back! XO

JANETNCT...Hang in there. We are all here for you.

STEPH...Keep thinking positive thoughts. We are all LOA'ing that everything will work out. Keep us updated.

ANT what a thoughtful wonderful idea...can't say that it surprised me considering the source from which it came.

I would love to participate unfortuneatly..I have no clue as to where i will be and rather i will have internet access...my family tends not to have technology...lol

.
My psychiatrist gave me a new med today, but I am cold and don't want to go get it to read off the name to you, but it is one that is suppose to not cause nose bleeds. I will post what it is tomorrow. She also uped my Welbutrin to three tablets a day instead of the two I have been taking. I am to see a counselor this Friday. She told me I looked pale and not my normal happy self when she first saw me, so we talked about the sudden outbrusts of tears, the pushing of the food around the plate and everything. She wants me to spend time with Sharon so I will have an outlet to talk about how I feel about how I am feeling. I promise you all, I will get better. I just have to. I can't stand living like this.

My oldest son has graduated from college now. He was in a 6 year accounting program. He is going to try to go to grad school. I am so very proud of him.

What a beautiful soul :) I wish we had more people like you in this crazy world.

Isnt it good to have a soul like ME in this world to make it a little crazy???? Hehehhe

And to think I wound up here at post position 69 hahahaha! Who wants to join me for some breakfast???

ANT: ♥ You are magical.

Steph: Don't apologize for any such long post! You can type 10 times as much with no apology needed. :-) This is just as much YOUR place as anyones. (and try not to panic about the unknown) You are made of 100% pure sugar!

CG Heidi: I don't care if you're Jewish or Hebrew or Hindu or Voodoo! As long as you're gathered around the online Holiday tree, it's all good. You are made of 99% spice and 1% Wunderbar goodness! :-p

Craig: ♥ You are made of magic as well. Your recipe however, is hard to follow. Nobody makes "it" quite like Craig does! :-p ♥

Ginger: I smile everytime I see your RICHARD CANDLE post. Your recipe is 100% love.

Why is everyone being compared to food? Because I'm hungry... hungry like the wolf. :-)

Kandyed: I'm sorry to hear about the power loss. I don't know WHY I was spared the devestation... I always lose power. Somehow it missed me this time. You're 100% maple sugar, by the way. :-p

Ali-Kat: You're just fabulous... and your ingredients are so elaborate I can't tell which one is used the most. You're spicy like CGH... (she has a hint of cinnamon). ♥

(((Ami ANT))) I'll have a black coffee if you have extra time. Your "tip" is on my table. hehh (sorry - I stopped myself from going down "that road.") You know the one. You put the WHIP in whipped cream. (I don't know what the means) :-p ♥

Jazzy and the 69 Breakfast post: You are almost disgusting, and it's why I appreciate your humor. :-)

(((DAWN))) You're the same recipe as Craig... or very similar. Canadians have nice flavor, I've found. :-) What? Like I said. :-) ♥

DR Donna: You're just tasty. Mmmmm There's a little golden brown crunch, and I want 2 dozen of you please. :-)

BedBug: You are one amazing woman. You inspire and heal everyday. You may not realize the power of your presense, but it's real. ♥ Thank you Robin. ♥

QueenJanine: Well you're just delicious. Smart and sassy and loving and just soooo sweet. Such a sweet girl, that QJ! :-)

TL Jean: You are one fabulous woman as well. You live through hard times and yet come here to help others. You're what makes this world go 'round. ♥ I so deeply appreciate your posts. :-)

Scrappy, SoCalNancy BSA :-), Renee, Mrs Bean, Gretchen, Renin77, Teri, Dee, VancouverGirl, pqdq94, Kim... I can't wait to taste your flavors! Wait that sounds wrong. I mean I would love to bite into your holiday cookies! Oh wait, that went wrong as well.

You know what I mean. ♥

Good Morning ANT and COLONY!
.
STEPH...let us know how the boys made out and how your M-I-L is doing! I hope the weather has improved in your area!
.
HEIDI..Okay...Just stop it!! LOL I hope weather is better by you too and that if you do go out you don't get wrapped around any poles again!! Be careful! No pole dancing for you! LOL
.
Have a great Wednesday everyone! We are halfway through the week!!

{{{CHRIS}}}..
.
You snuck in there!! What a wonderful post!! You are full of spice yourself and everything nice ..oh and throw in some extremely talented and creative and kind and oh so funny stuff too!!!!! xo

This Christmas will likely bring the passing of my Grandmother. That last one living.

We don't need a doctor to tell us the inevitable. Healthy people know when they see someone taking their final turn.

Her body is slowing down... nutrients are now pumped into the bloodstream... her breathing rate is slowing. Verbal communication is mumbled.

Prayers are not needed.

I know she'll be taken care of given the generous life she lived. A life of charity and good cheer toward neighbors and friends and family. The last of the depression-era generation.

My mother said "Christopher, you have been down this road many times. Help lead your sister."

And I shall. :-)

I'm not worrying about the unknown, because I know the pattern of mother nature. It's a time-tested pattern of give and take. The ultimate balancing act.

Blossoms in the spring fade for the Winter's snow.

It's all connected.

VG. Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment. I haven't always been the way I am now. When I was younger, starting in my teens when the bipolar manifested itself but we didn't know what it was, I was horrible to my sister and brother. Once my brother made me so mad I put ketcup on my wrists and played dead in the kitchen just to get back at him. I had often enough threatened suicide and so I wanted to scare the bejeebers out of him, which I did. I wasn't quite so mean to my sister, but I was non-the-less mean to her too. I beat them up if they wouldn't do my housework. I don't like who I was at all. It didn't help me a whole lot either when Momma would tell me I was worthless, lazy and stupid (but not in so many words, she'd always say why can't you be more like your sister? See how good she does at school.) I wasn't stupid, I was bored or I couldn't grasp what I was trying to learn. Math was beyond me and I was afraid of it, still am and bless the person who invented calculators for without one my bank account would never balance. And can you believe I have a son who is a wiz at math so much so he is now an accountant? I think he got that from Corey's side of the family, his mother is a wiz with numbers too, or was. Momma also insinuated that because I was fat I was ugly. She would tell me if you'd only loose weight you'd be so pretty, thus I wasn't pretty now. Unfortunately these comments come back to haunt me at times like now. I feel worthless, vile, useless, ugly and unloved. Corey will crawl into my bed with me and rub my back assuring me he doesn't think I am any of those things and that he loves me. He will even give me examples of what I do to make his life so much better. I cry a bit and he just continues to rub my back because he knows that relaxes me. When I drift off to sleep he gets back up and finishes whatever he was doing at the time I started telling him how awful I am. Please don't blame my Momma, she didn't realize she was doing this to me. For years I felt horrible and unlovable even though I had a boyfriend before Corey. He loved me fat and everything, just as Corey did and still does. It wasn't until the medicines started to really work 7 years into the treatment and lots of counciling with Dr. Downs, who basically saved my life, that I finally got to where I wouldn't constantly feel that way. Now I only feel like that when depression hits harder than I can really handle by myself. My Momma is sorry for how I was treated and that all my emotional rampages weren't really stunts, I was really hurting inside. The last few years I have been stronger at any time in my life. I thank God for that. He brought me and Corey back together after He taught us the lessens He wanted us to learn apart from each other so we'd see that He meant for us to share our lives. Still when depression hits hard like this I can't help but feel ugly and worthless, unlovable and lazy even though I know I am not. I just wanted to explain myself to you all right now. I am still battling these things, but not constantly right now, only in long spurts. I know how Heidi feels and I wish she could find the peace and support I have now in my life. I like me now and sometimes I even love me too. I just need medicines to help me see it. Without my medicine I would be dead. I am suicidal bipolar where all the anger and frustration is turned inwards. Lord I have talked too much, but I just wanted to get this off my chest.
.
The new medicine is called Strattera and I take 10 mg at night with supper so in case any of the bad reactions to the medicine will happen at night and not while I am trying to function in the day time. The other anti-depressents I take are Geodon and Welbutrin. I need all three because I have bipolarism pretty bad too.
.
You guys have been a safety net for me at times. I come here and feel the love Ant and everyone has to share and it makes me glad I found this sight. Right now I still have a nervous stomach, but I know soon I won't and I will be all better again and the person I like to be.
.
Love you all, Jean

CHRIS......Oh sorry...I missed the food theme.....well lets see ..I think you are a SERENDIPITY Hot chocolate with LOTS and LOTS of rich whipped cream and a cherry of course and throw along side that a plate of those really crazy twisty fries going in all directions! :)

CHRIS....OH It took me so long to get that to post I did not see your other one..
.
HUGS to you and your Grandma and your family! It IS another part of life but still tugs hard at our hearts. You KNOW we will be sending strength and love to you!

I know they worked and I am grateful to have such amazing support. I will let you know more as I know more.

Good morning ANTlings!
Hope everyone had a peaceful and a rest filled slumber that evening. I know that alone can be tough for many of us. :)

Chris ~ I am SO sorry that your grandma is not well. You sometimes that because it's inevitable and know it's coming somehow makes it easier, but for me it certainly never has. I have lost many people that were close to me within the past 5-6 years and it never gets any easier. I hope you have many happy memories of her to cherish.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

What address can I send you a card at, Ant? Could someone post it for me? THANKS - or if you can't post it, could someone tell me where I can get it? Thank you so much. Sorry, if it has been posted in the past - I haven't been able to catch up on all the comments.

CHRIS- WHAT A WONDERFUL BROTHER AND SON AND GRANDSON YOU ARE! How I wish you were my brother. I know you will be there for your Mom and sister and Grandmother. Love to you always. Thinking of you and lots of hugs for you for being such a kind person.

AMI-ANT- Could I get on the list with an Ice Cold POG please?
.
STEPH- I hope all goes well for your MIL today at the Dr.
.
TLJ- I know the meds will kick in very soon and you will be feeling a lot more like yourself.

I will need all my Winnipeg winter driving skills here today as I have to go out today and tomorrow about 4 different times all day. Brush the car off each time! One of the towers up at Blackcomb/Whistler broke last night and 50 gondalas were hanging with people in them. They rescued everyone with no one hurt. The tower snapped in half. Whistler is where the 2010 Olympics for skiing will be. It's about 2 hours from me. This is the biggest snow fall in 15 yrs here. I don't even own a shovel. Thank goodness the guys here at the complex do the shovelling.

GOODMORNING TO EVERYONE. I will be in and out for 2 days will a lot of appts so I might be MIA for a bit.

Sally, on his last Vblog I believe Ant left an e-mail address to where people can leave him private mail.
Jean

Good morning on this frozen day! What crazy weather all over the country, be safe everyone. CHRIS--I love your posts so much, it is almost like I can see a twinkle in your eye as you type. I think you are like a warm freshly made doughnut eaten while reading the sweetest poetry. Your post about your grandma was so beautiful and heartfelt, I loved the line--Blossoms in the spring fade for the Winter's snow.-- Although you said no prayers needed, sometimes you can be surprised how something hits you, even if you think you are prepared. Thanks for sharing. TENDER LOVING JEAN--Your posts always help me, I fight feelings of worthlessness all the time and you always seem to post something wonderful just when I need to hear it. You are a fantastic, beautiful, sweet, kind, compassionate, loving woman and the world is lucky to have you in it. Thank you for sharing yourself here, it has meant so much to me to read your words. AMIANT--Thank you for the hot chocolate! So kind of you ♥ DAWN--Be careful on the icy roads! I own a snow shovel, I just like to act like I don't see it :) BEDBUG--I hope you are doing okay, and your wounds are healing.

THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL CRAIG! Thanks for posting it ♥ NEBLINA--It was fun to see all your posts this morning! Hi to you too :)

CHRIS You are the best! Your recipe would be for a delicious fresh-baked dough, which would require kneading and spanking to get it into shape. It could be seasoned with spices and cheese, or with sugar and cinnamon depending on whether you wanted something sweet or not. It's versatility would lend itself well to any situation; no matter what other ingredients are tossed in, the result will be a delicious treat surrounded by your warm and sturdy crust. :o) (Crust is kind of an "ugly" word, but it's one of my favorite things, I ALWAYS eat the crust first - so believe me when I say that's intended as a compliment. And, I don't view you as "flaky" in any way, even though that's normally the sign of a good crust. LOL)

.
Your Grandma - wow, that's tough. It's really a blessing to have the sense that things will be happening, and have the time to (try to) prepare yourselves a bit in advance. When my Grandma died (gosh, it's coming up on 2 years ago already, on February 3rd) we also knew it was coming. Towards the end, she was on lots of pain meds and was unconscious. It was kind of amazing, her facial muscles were so relaxed, that you could truly see her bone structure. One of her favorite portraits was her college graduation photo, and it was sitting near her bed, and honestly, in those last hours, she looked more like that picture of herself, than any of the more "current" ones. It was kind of amazing. You say prayers aren't required, but I'll hold you in my thoughts. Even with all of the planning, I wasn't ready when my Grandma died - she'd survived so many things, I always thought she'd somehow just always be around.

AMI ANT - thanks for the Latte!!! Delicious, as always. I love the little candy canes you tucked in everyone's mug handles, such a festive treat! ;-)

WOW CRAIG, I'm going to steal that and send it to some friends. Really impressive!

NEBLINA - so fun to see you! You're kind of like our "sparkling water". Definitely a healthy choice as a beverage - we can't live without water, right? But you're so bubbly, you can't just come from the tap. You SPARKLE! :-) And, BTW, I'm making your orange/cinnamon slices this weekend - can't wait!!! My sister and family will be at my house on Saturday, and it will SMELL delicious when they arrive, thanks to you.

MRS BEAN- You make me laugh about your snow shovel. OK, off I go out in the snow!!

OMG how embarassing!!! I totally just got chastised by ROSS!!! He posted a request for numbers to call for a TELEBLOG, and I never ever ever happen upon his blog in time to get my number in, and I happened to be on break at the time, so I sent in my number a few (okay, maybe about 50) times. He finally replied to me and said:

.
"Donna! Only one entry per person - you're jamming my email!
Thanks! Ross"

.

Oh dear. How terribly embarassing!!! LOL
.
LOA him to call me anyway, even though I might have gone a bit overboard...? ha ha ha

LOL, DRDONNA! I see he posted it on the NBC site, so I am sure you were not the only one :) I hope he calls you, that would be fun!

Today when I laid down to take my nap Darlin jumped up on the bed and napped with me. I was so surprised I didn't want to distrub her that I didn't rest well and hurt my blasted neck again and I just had a treatment this morning. But she's never tried to sleep with me ever in 8 years. I was so tickled to have her up there that I just couldn't shoo her off the bed. Doc told me he couldn't see me tomorrow, but ice my neck and he will see me first thing Friday morning. Oh I was so thrilled that Darlin decided to nap with me.
.
I also bought myself sone much needed boots. The winter boots were all too tight, but the work boots fit just fine. Now my feet won't get soaking wet anymore!!! YAY. I like to look at the snow, I just don't like being out in it. Now all I have to do is get Corey to the store and get him some boots too. I am seriously thinking of just buying a pair in his size and playing try this on and see if it fits and continue to do that until I find a pair that does fit because he has to shovel snow in the mornings.
.
I want to thank you all so much for the wonderful things you have said about me. I do feel blessed and I know this horrible depression will pass once the meds are corrected. I feel like all of you all are blessed too because of the wonderful things that happen to you in your lives as well as well as the not so wonderful things that happen too. My heart goes out to those hurting because of loved ones, but I remind myself that in time, death comes to all of us. Don't be afraid for your loved ones for I have seen the opening to other side and it is a beautiful white/yellow light all warm and pain free, and I mean physical as well as emotional. It was the only time in my life that my life was completely at peace. Just think of your Grandma's, Momma's, Daddy's, brothers, sisters and children going thru that wonderful warm peaceful opening into a world of love and contentment. I remind myself of this when Momma and Mom both wish that death would come soon. I don't want them to leave because I am selfish and I want them here with me now, not somewhere where I must wait to see them again. They bring joy into my life and I hoe I do the same for them as well. But I know my Momma wants to join Uncle Howard and his wife Aunt Dot and Mom just wants to be with Dad in heaven. Oh dear, I have just rambled and I hope to someone it makes sense.
.
I love you all and I want you to know I don't feel as bad as I did yesterday and I know I will feel even more better tomorrow.
.
May God bless everyone of you and your family members.
.
Renee, thank you for Anthony working on page when he gets out for the holidays. Your family has been in my prayers too.
.
Love Jean

HE TOTALLY CALLED ME!!! I will be on today's blog when he posts it. No way!!!! That was so fun!

Hugs to you, TLJean! I didn't mean to get all "hyper" after your calm and thoughtful post - I just couldn't help it! A nap with Darlin sounded so great...all the way up until your neck getting sore again. Sorry to hear that.

OMG DONNA!! that's so cool! I can't wait to see it :D

I went to Mom's Christmas Party on Monday and had two different people approach me to thank me for thinking of their parents this holiday season. They were so pleased with the cards I sent them. Made my day!

Hello? anybody?

Ooh Nebby. Did you see that? 4:44 on my last post. oh its going to be a good night.

so whatcha all doing? You best start posting people or i will keep talking and you all know i can talk. dont make me!!!

k, well im just going to play here by myself until someone else posts. or till something shiny comes along.

Oh its like that is it colonites? okay then here comes stories.

To all the kitty lovers out there, im sorry but how do you deal with these feline creatures. They are the cutest little balls of trouble ive ever met. If you dont mind your house destroyed.

This new stray kitty that moved in pushes past dogs thru doggy door. struts in the house. climbs on the counter. has a snack. poops in my plant, pees in my bathroom and proceeds to use leather couch for scrathing post. all the while looking so cute. Evil i tell you.

He isnt scared of the dogs as they try to rush him he just lies down and purrs. and tries to snuggle them. they freak out. especially when he pounces on their wagging tails. Sorry Argus, but kitties are evil... cute but evil...

OK Dee, so you don't have to talk to yourself...it's still raining, so I stayed in reading and watching TV, nothing exciting, tomorrow though have to catch up on errands

TRESA
So nice to see you! I hope you come back and post some more.

MIL UPDATE
Today she had a stress test. Tomorrow she will go get the results and have an ultra sound. As long as she doesn't move around much, she is just fine!

AMI ANT: I love that you've brought back the refreshments for the holiday season. And if it's not to much trouble I would love a hot coco with hazelnut.

HELLO COLONY!!
It's been a while again, even if it's not as long as the last MIA. So I don't have anymore classes before january 15th. But I have alot of work that needs to be finished before that. So I won't have to much of a christmas break.

*

My teacher told me that I'll get the resul on my las course on monday at the lates so if not sooner I'll come by then to let you all know how it went.

*

From the 23 of december til the 25 me and my family will be going on a christmas-cruise so I won't be able to be here so much then. But I will think of you on christmas eve when we celebrate :)

*

So It feels like this post is quiet long now, but at least you're filled in. And hopefully I'll come by soon again.
xoxo

It's up! The blog is up! Go see it. YAY DONNA! ♥

Perseverance pays off! Good for you!

NANCY : Yes MaM! ;) I'm present for the attendance :)

NANCY- I'm just saying Hi for a minute. I've been back and forth with this stupid 24/7 BP monitor test. So I'm MIA today and tomorrow. It's a struggle out there with the crazy drivers that don't know how to drive in snow. I went to pick up my husband (10 min from home) 3 MAJOR accidents. Ambulance, police, cars crumpled and who knows about the people inside??? I'll have to come back late tonight. I know this stupid BP going every freaking 1/2 hour will keep me up all night.

Nancy, thanks for listening. i posted the lyrics. It is a song about a soldier. I wrote it about our son who has PTSD. but as i posted lyrics i realized its really not appropriate for me to share here. sorry folks..

Jingle bells, jingle bells...

Thanks, Neblina ! What a hoot! I can't believe I talked to ROSS today - it all happened so fast - and he had to cut a few things from the end - Daria said hi, and we all exchanged our HAPPY HOLIDAYS greetings - it was FUN! I should have nominated ANT for Person of the Year, 2008 but Ross's call took me so much by surprise, I ended up having to run into the ladies room so I could talk freely without disrupting my co-workers. How glamorous! I'll post my ANT recommendation at Ross's blog - who better to get the award, than the man who keeps us all coming here day after day! :o)

Fresh from today's ROSS BLOG:

.

SANTA HATS (if anyone wants to make them)

You’ll need:

.

Bugles (the original Bugles, not the “flavored” ones)
Holiday M&M’s (red and green)
Almond Bark/White Chocolate
.

Melt the chocolate, either in a double boiler, or in the microwave. Set up a table and use waxed paper placed on a cookie sheet as the place to set your bugles to cool. (You’ll fill several cookie sheets.) Take one bugle, and dip the pointy tip into the white chocolate, and then turn it and tip in the wide end, just enough to make a “border” along the bottom. Then, insert one M&M into the wide end, and place it on the waxed paper to cool. When you fill the cookie sheet, you can place it on the porch (if you live in a “ WINTER STATE ”) or in the freezer/fridge to set more quickly. They are the BEST treat for the holidays since they meet both the salty/&sweet criteria. Please make them and enjoy! (If you watch Ross's blog from today, he made the PERFECT diagram - you can get an idea what they look like.) Fun!

DEE--That song was so great! The lyrics had me crying, they were from such a deep place, thank you for sharing it ♥ Good luck with your tree :) DR DONNA--Lucky!! How fun was that for you? The ending of your phone call with Ross was cracking me up. It was like a 900 number phone call for people who really enjoy food---YEAH for you :)

DR DONNA.. That phone call was great!! He talked to you a long time!! LOL I could not quite make out who you said in your names. I will have to go listen again. I love how he drew the bugle hats out ..too funny! Thanks for posting the recipe!! You were very calm and collected I must say! Good job! So fun for you!

Dee! What a beautiful, poignant song.
I'm a huge admirer of singer-songwriters like Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Neil Young, etc...You know, hauntingly beautiful music, melodious, meaningful lyrics, etc. I am a sucker for harmony, though...I wonder if you could record yourself harmonizing with yourself (hey, it's how Buddy Holly got started!) to add even more layers to the lovely sound.
And, regarding it not being "cheery" at Christmas, well, there are a lot of people who relate well, I'm sure, to that feeling all year and especially at Christmas.
Thanks for sharing your music with us.
:)
EF

Chris I am so glad you are not having power failures. =)

I have a funny story for you guys. Totally true. We were telling embarassing stories a few weeks ago. This one is a beauty. The biggest loser isn't just the name of a show.

I was making my husband some home made salsa for his birthday. It was a special dinner, but the salsa was really special. So I picked really fresh ingredients for it and paid special care to the jalepino peppers. I read right in the cookbook to be careful when handling the peppers as the oil can burn badly if you get it on your skin. OK so I was trying to be very careful. I cut up the peppers and the baby started to wake from his nap. Remembering that I need to really wash the hands, I made sure that I used a ton of soap and rinsed for a moment or two. On my way up the stairs to get the baby, I rubbed my eye. Basically it was like pepper spraying my face. So my poor baby had to watch me rolling around in pain while I rinsed my eyes with water, which is the worse thing to do. The last thing I wanted to do is change his diaper and burn his skin. Fortunately, my dad was here in minutes to tend to the lad, but I was incapacitated for like 30 minutes. DOPE!!

Ami Ant.....make mine a double Captain and Diet Pepsi with a lemon. Thanks

Kandyed I miss you......
Come back soon. I hope a bit of Florida blows up your way in non-hurricane way I mean. Just a bit of warm air and Sunshine all day.
{{XO}}

I wish all my friends and their family good health and Happy Holidays. Take a break and appreciate all that we are and what we have. If nothing else we have our friends here and each other. And Thank you Ant for my friends here. They are Priceless...

Colony:
.
I just want to wish each and every one of you a happy holiday. I will be away till about the 27th or 28th. I hope we all take care of each other, nobody will be lonely, and we are all safe.
.
Oh and could someone please keep an eye on Jazzy for me, make sure he does't fall head first into the eggnog punch bowl again!
.
Cheers

Van you know we are going to miss you something terrible, but we wish you the happiest of Christmases and a super visit with the relatives

Oh, those wacky customers...
Journal Entry: Wed Dec 17, 2008, 5:05 PM
From the net
.

(I was working in the reptile department and I often got questions about the snakes.)
.
Customer: “What do you feed these snakes?”
.
Me: “Those snakes? Usually feeder mice.”
.
Customer: “You feed them live mice?”
.
Me: “Yes, that’s what they eat.”
.
Customer: Well, don’t you think that’s cruel?”
.
Me: “…”
.
Customer: “Can’t you feed them a vegetarian diet?”
.
Me: “No ma’am, they need to eat a diet similar to what they would naturally eat in the wild.”
.
Customer: “Well, I think that’s just awful. They should be able to survive on vegetables.”
.
Me: “I’m sorry, ma’am…you’ll have to talk to God about that one.”
.
.

Customer: *marches to the front desk with her young granddaughter* “Hello, dear. Are you in charge here?”
.
Me: “Well, I’m in charge of the front desk. How may I help you?”
.
Customer: “I’d like to purchase a dog for my granddaughter.”
.
Me: “Er…ma’am, this is a kennel.”
.
Customer: “I’m aware of that! I just want to buy a dog for my granddaughter; she wants a pug.”
.
Me: “I’m sorry, ma’am, but we don’t sell the animals here. We take care of dogs and cats for their owners.”
.
Customer: “What? You do all the work for those lazy sons of b****es?”
.
Me: “Um…no. The kennel takes in dogs and cats for owners when they go away for vacation or business. When they come back, they take their pets back. It’s like daycare.”
.
Customer: “I don’t think you understand me, boy. I told my granddaughter we were coming here to get her a dog, and you will get her a d*** dog!”
.
Me: “I’m sorry, ma’am, but like I said before, we do not sell the dogs we keep. They are other people’s pets.”
.
Customer: “Goodness!” *pause* “Can I have a cat, then?”
.
Me: “Ma’am, does your granddaughter go to daycare?”
.
Customer: “Yes, but that is irrel–”
.
Me: “How would you like it if I went to your granddaughter’s daycare and bought her off?”
.
Customer: *storms off*
.
.

Customer: “I need a biography of Benjamin Franklin.”
.
Me: *I take him to the history section* “Here’s his autobiography.”
.
Customer: “That means he wrote it himself, right?”
.
Me: “Yes, that’s correct.”
.
Customer: *eyes widening* “They could do that back then?”
.

.
(I approach a lady looking at a particular paint being advertised as good for faux painting techniques.)
.
Me: “Hi, how can I help you today?”
.
Customer: “Yeah, does this paint come with the stripes in it?”
.
Me: “Um… you mean, if you paint the wall with that paint, will
stripes magically appear?”
.
Customer: “Yes.”
.
Me: *stifling laughter* “No.”
.
.

(A customer had purchased a few items and was double-checking her receipt after the transaction went through. She had a membership card at the store, so she got a 10% discount.)
.
Customer: “So I got my discount on this?”
.
Me: “Yep, see there on each item it says ‘Member 10%’, and it shows what you saved.”
.
Customer: “Wait…is it 10% off each item, or 10% off the total?”
.
Me: “10% off the total. Well, it works out the same either way.”
.
Customer: “I thought it was supposed to be 10% off each item. I should be getting a bigger discount on the total.”
.
Me: “No, you got your discount! 10% off each item adds up to the same amount as 10% off the total.”
.
Customer: “No, I got 10% off the first item. Then 10% off the second item, so that’s 20%. And 10% off the third item; that’s 30%!”
.
Me: *pause* “No, that’s…that’s not how percentages work… I can show you on a calculator; it works out the same. You are getting the right discount.”
.
Customer: “No, it’s all right. But I know I won’t be getting this card again. I was told I was going to be getting a 10% discount on each item, and this really isn’t fair.”
.
.

Me: “What can I get for you?”
.
Customer: “I’ll have a turkey sub. No. Ham. I’ll have a ham and cheese sub.”
.
Me: “What kind of cheese would you like?”
.
Customer: “Bologna.”
.
.

(I have a flat screen TV near my workplace that was showing a recent cartoon on DVD: "Tinkerbell”. A customer comes by with her toddler daughter in the cart, and watches a bit of the movie with the child.)
.
Customer: “Aw, that’s cute! What movie is that?”
.
Me: “It’s Tinkerbell“.
.
Customer: “My little girl likes that one. How much is it?”
.
Me: “It’s new, so it should be around 15 to 20 dollars.”
.
Customer: “15 to 20 dollars?! That’s almost all of my beer money!”
.

.
(I was helping a customer sign into their email.)
.
Me: “Okay, I need you to type ‘A’ as in ‘Apple’.”
.
Customer: “Now, don’t get all technical on me!”
.
.

(I’m putting up price tags, and a woman is heard screaming on her phone off in the distance.)
.
Customer: “Why can’t I ever make you happy? Nothing I ever do for you is enough…. WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU? YOU’RE NEVER HAPPY!”
.
(She stops at the condoms section; the section I’m working on at the time, and grabs a 30-pack of condoms.)
.
Customer: “You know what? I’m getting condoms. BE READY WHEN I GET HOME.” *storms off*

Twelve Days of Christmas, Costed Out
.

On the first day of Christmas, my kitten ruined for me... A batch
of my special hand-print cookies.
.
I had turned my back to grab the cookie sheet sitting on the stove.
In that micro-second, Fluffy climbed onto the table, poked her paw
into the delightfully kneady mixture and, suddenly off-balance,
fell into the cookie dough. Net loss? Six cups of flour, four cups
of sugar, three sticks of butter. Of course, it would have been
cheaper to remove the feline ingredient, pick out the hairs, and
just rename the recipe Paw Print Cookies.
.

On the second day of Christmas, my kitten accompanied me....On a
trip to the vet clinic.
.
Who knew that skinny curling ribbon has feline taste appeal? I
didn't. Damages? $28 for the office visit, $36 for anesthesia so
the veterinarian could take $55 X-rays in case Fluffy had taste-
tested any other Christmas decorations, and a heck of a lot of
embarrassment when the vet removed the 3' curly 'tail' in slightly
less than two seconds by tugging at it with a pair of tweezers.
.

On the third day of Christmas, my kitten wrecked for me...13
ornaments on my Christmas tree.
.
My mistake was forgetting to chain the decorations to the branches.
My other error was leaving the room to go to the bathroom while
Fluffy feigned sleeping under the tree. How was I to know that she
was actually measuring its climbing potential? Value of broken
bulbs? 7.50 plus tax.
.

On the fourth day of Christmas, my kitten broke for me...A statue
in my Lenox Nativity.
.
Would you believe two Wise men plus a head? Lenox nativity
figurines $55.99
.

On the fifth day of Christmas, my kitten scratched for me...The kid
across the street who collects for charity.
.
It was an accident. She merely wanted to reach out and touch
someone. Unfortunately, she used a unsheathed claw to do so. I
settled out-of-court for the cost of a jacket to replace the boy's
blood stained one and a hefty donation to the charity of their
choice. Although the amount must remain secret according to our
settlement, let me put it this way. You haven't seen many soldiers
for the Salvation Army this year, have you? Think Major Windfall!
.

On the sixth day of Christmas, my kitten opened for me...The
presents beneath my Christmas tree.
.
It was only two, really. While doing some early shopping at a
discount store, I purchased a catnip mouse for Fluffy's stocking.
Apparently, anything in the same bag as catnip takes on its potent
aroma for a very long time. Replacement costs $3.99 for another
roll of Christmas wrapping paper, $4.50 for two empty boxes, $1
each for the kind of bows Fluffy can't unravel.
.

On the seventh day of Christmas, my kitten lost for me...The
earrings I bought for my sister Mary.
.
Actually, it was one earring but since Mary doesn't have a hole in
her nose or navel, a pair of matching earrings does make a more
appealing gift. Sale price $29.95 plus tax.
.

On the eighth day of Christmas, my kitten helped me...Replace my
E and G guitar strings.
.
Would you believe a kitten could fit into the itty-bitty hole in the
middle of my Yamaha guitar? Neither could I, but Fluffy thought
so. And she succeeded once she got those rascally strings out of
the way. Unfortunately, her little rear end couldn't get out the
way it came in. After paying through the whiskers for her previous
escapades, I would have been willing to leave her in the guitar for
the duration of the holiday season, except that she chose to get
stuck two hours before I was due at the nursing home for our
annual Christmas carol sing-a-long. Set of steel guitar strings
$12.95; jar of petroleum jelly 79 cents.
.

On the ninth day of Christmas, my kitten destroyed for me...My
Christmas card list when she walked across my computer's delete
key.
.
Cost for call to Computer Country's 900/help line $17.50. And I
still don't know what happened to the listings of B through H.
.

On the tenth day of Christmas, my kitten hid from me.....The remote
control from my 13-inch TV.
.
This wouldn't be such a disaster if she hadn't previously stolen the
power knob. I missed a week's worth of Christmas specials,
including my all-time favorite, "It's a Wonderful Life." Rental of
"It's a Wonderful Life" $2; purchase of book, "Good owners, great
cats" $24.95. Unfortunately, it never mentions the psychological
profile of kittens with kleptomania.
.

On the eleventh day of Christmas, my kitten ate for me.....The
drumsticks off my 19-pound turkey.
.
OK,OK, So this one time it was my fault. I knew I never should
have uttered those now infamous words "Your first turkey, Fluffy.
Want to try just a little piece?" Cost Christmas Dinner.
.

On the 12th day of Christmas........Fluffy rested.
.
And so, thank goodness, did my VISA card.
.

KANDYED....wow those must have been some strong peppers to survive the surgical hand washing etc!! LOL Next time wear gloves! :) Hope eyes are okay.

TLJ....thanks for the humor this morning! I hope you are doing better today!

DR DONNA have you come back down to earth yet from your phone call??? Yes .....it really happened you have video to prove it LOL!!

Just watched the movie THE HOLIDAY last night with Cameron Diaz..Kate WInslet...Jude Law and Jack Black... It is a little bit Christmasy and cute I thought..... It is a nice premise to exchange houses! Well....I love Cameron Diaz.......love the movie My Best Friends Wedding with her... oh and Jack Black was really good as well.... who was also so good in School of Rock .... and also has Rock band Tenacious D.......oh I digress with useless information...... :) Anyway.....was a cute and touching movie!

How about doing our favorite holiday movies? I guess the one we always watch of course is A Christmas Story.... With Ralphie....too funny..It is usually on some channel running all day long!!
.
Also the really old black and white SCROOGE movie from the 50's is something...and will have me thinking of RIchard for sure!
.
ANT.....Hope you are keeping yourself surrounded by those who love you and want to help carry you as needed. XO
.
Have a great day everyone!

Great to hear you on Ross's Blog DRDonna! :-) Sounds like you had some fun. And Ross looked like he enjoyed the call as well. :-)

I try not to ask for too much around here BUT I would really appreciate some strenght and support, especially this afternoon. The long story short is that I have to advocate for myself (something I am very uncomfortable doing for myself but can do well for others) with a doctor (drs always make me anxious) to get the proper care I need and to keep my benefits. I'm trying to be as prepared as I can - big girl panties on, 2 copies of the letter I faxed to him in hopes that he will have actually taken the time to read it before I actually get there yet prepared to hand it to him if he has not, and you all in my pocket.

This appointment is all I have scheduled today as I know it will take a huge amount of spoons, likely more than I currently have on hand.

On a side note - the meds change has STARTED to help with the fight with the D monster, which is good as I have enough challenges on my hands these days.

Hugs all around and thanks for being here -- just knowing that helps me, especially if the sky does completly fall in on my world.

xoxo

Um, is this thing on? Tap, tap, tap

Colony Kat - LOA! LOA! LOA!
.
Prayers for strength and courage being sent your way.
.
((((hugs))))
.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY.

TLJ...Thanks for all the laughs. I really needed that today

COLONY KAT...Sending you strength and courage vibes. I am also sending you two of my spoons.

DR. DONNA...Good job on the interview with Ross. It was really great the way he was drawing the 'santa' as you were telling him how. :)

VANCOUVERGIRL...Have a great Christmas with your family.

KANDYED...My eyes were stinging way over here just reading about what happened to you!

STEPH...Keep us updated about MIL. Sending healing vibes to MIL

Hi NANCY, DAWN, DEE (great song...you have unbelievable talent, girl), AMI ANT, CRAIG, NEBBY, ALI KAT, PAMELA, EF, MRS. BEAN, EMMA, TRESANY AND ALL ANTS.

HAVE A GREAT DAY, EVERYBODY. LOVE TO ALL

ALI-KAT--I loved The Holiday! It was a great winter movie. COLONYKAT--Remember to breathe, it will be okay, you sound very prepared and ready to go into battle, hopefully it won't be necessary. LOA all the way that you will get what you need today ♥ HI TERI!! DRDONNA--I love the recipe but I am going to have to try hard to find bugles. I have not had those since I moved here, hopefully they sell them here. If you have a picture of one, I would love to see it. They sound super cute. TENDERLOVINGJEAN--Thanks for the smiles this morning. You always find such funny stuff, hope you are feeling alright today. {{{{HUGS}}}} KANDYED--Ouch! I am glad you had help show up so quickly. HI PAMELA/FL, I will take some of your Florida weather! I am already over the snow this year. VANCOUVERGIRL--Have a wonderful holiday with your family! JAZZY--What is on the fourth day of Christmas? HI NANCY SO CAL and DAWN! EMMA--It was fun to see your post, a family Christmas cruise sounds wonderful. Have a safe and happy time!

GOOD MORNING!!!
COLONY KAT
I am sending some hugs, prayers, and healing vibes to you right now! You can do it! You are a strong woman!!

Thanks for the continuing love and support going to my mother-in-law. She had a stress test yesterday and my husband is taking her for an ultra sound today. We will know more later this evening (hopefully)!

Happy Thursday!!

oh I know what Jazzy gave for the fourth day of Christmas
The Four Agreements

Queen ANT I have a question
will your posting every 3 days be temporary or ongoing?
hey Teri ant hi back atcha

.
Colony, I'm running around like an Elf who has a lot left to do before Dec 25!
.
I promise to serve refreshments this afternoon when I return - and to say hello to some special ANTS that I am so happy to see here again!!!! It's nice that everyone is dropping by for the holidays. : )
.
xo
.

COLONY KAT - YOU CAN DO IT! You are a strong confident intelligent woman who knows her body and what you need. YOU GO GIRL!!! Let us know how things come out.

I just got back from my five year olds Christmas program (super cute) but it is snowing like crazy here, the roads are awful, I live two blocks from the school, it was horrible. When I was leaving to go I could see someone at the end of my driveway, it is long and the snow was coming down hard, so I could not tell who it was, but they were lifting my trash can lids up. When I got the car brushed off and down to the end of the driveway, I could see they had put stuff in my garbage cans. I did not have time to get out and look and when I came back they were emptied. Has that happened to anyone else? I don't know exactly why it freaked me out.

Did you guys see on the news it snowed in LA?
Jean

I'm headed out, got the big girl panties on, and hoping for the spoons to get through it all.

COVER ME, I'M GOING IN

Thank you all for your well wishes. I had hoped to give you a giggle at the thought of how silly that was.

Hi Pammie, I miss you too.

Have a great time Van. You will be missed.

COLONY KAT: I meant it when I told you I won't let the sky fall in. ANT may be the Magic Man, but I am One Tough Broad ... and I am holding your hand through this. Count on it.
MRS. BEAN: I'm not sure if you are saying someone put something in your trash cans or took your trash out, or both (which is kind of weird.) But, I know that you must be careful of folks getting into your garbage if you throw away your mail, etc., without using a shredder. You have to be protective against identity theft because there is often information in there that bad guys can use against you. If possible, you should not have your trash cans out at the curb except when they are awaiting a pickup. Otherwise, it's often safer to keep them up next to the house (or even in a garage or shed.) But if you use a shredder you probably don't have to worry about it.
DONNA: I haven't had a chance to see you on Ross's blog yet because I've been sidetracked a couple times, but I intend to get there soon. I am excited for you. I hope it was fun.
***
You'd think being on vacation I'd have a ton of time and would have kept up with the blog better, etc., but I haven't and I'm sorry. I see now on my quick read through that there are folks who are in need of hugs and prayers. Please accept this big ol' basket of hugs and prayers and each of you freely take out whatever you need. It will be replenished as needed through the holiday week. Much love.

TLJean! Loved that. That sounds like my evil kitty. Its killing me keeping him out of house, but better than alternative.

Colony Kat! I got you covered. You go girl. let me know how it goes k? Sending you lots of spoons cause im not using mine. im gonna be lazy and just slowly decorate my xmas tree. maybe shave the other half of my dog. (dont ask)

Thank you all for your wonderful comments about my song. i wish it was a happier song.

Great big hugs out to Nebby, Ali-Kat, Bedbug, Colony Kat, Mrs. Bean, Craig, Teri and Dawn!

Id like to send some shoutout to some bloggers i dont know well, but im a fan of. Hope to see more of you.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Kandyed - we used to go to "happy hour" every Friday at Buffalo Wild Wings. Their hottest flavor was "Blazin'" I remember one of my friends eating some of those around 6pm, and being out all night, washing hands several times, etc. They got home got ready for bed, and the next morning he put his contacts in, and about burned his eyeballs out - there is something about those peppers that just sticks with you, it's so potent! I did have a little giggle at your story (only because you presented it in a funny way - definitely a laugh WITH you, not AT you...LOL) Thanks for sharing!

Okay i gotta post this. but shouldnt im sure. My aunt and uncle and another couple went for hot wings. During the night the men went to the bathroom and were gone a long time. and people were coming out of the bathroom laughing or with strange looks.

When the guys came out they were all wet and not looking so good. turns out they didnt wash their hands before going to the bathroom and were feeling burning in parts not meant to be exposed to hot sauce.

They had attempted some creative ways to wash it off, including some sink gymnastics that went terribly wrong. Did i mention there was alcohol involved?

Dee
that is hilarious

OMG, Dee - that is HILARIOUS!!! Too funny - those poor guys!!!

CHRIS....thinking about you and your family. I know you have inner strength and resolve and your family is counting on you...But.. this is a difficult time and ... I hope you know you can count on us.....for support for YOU! Don't forget we are here. XO

That goes for you too ANT!! Hope you are doing okay..you know we are all thinking of you! XOXO

It was a really rough afternoon, really rough. Wearing my big girl panties was a good idea. Having some of my Colony friends in my pocket and the extra spoons sent my way was even better. I will be ok. Thank you. Priceless.

I hope to just curl up on the CK couch with whoever is there or would like to join me and get some much needed extra rest.

Hugs all around and thanks for being here.

Hello Colony!!
I'm here again, two days in a row *wow*.

hi guys. Dr. Donna now I know how to get on the teleblog! ;)

ok so I got the info to be part of the christmas thing sorta. I have no idea when I am supposed to be working etc. I am set up on there just don't know when to log into it. oh well.

Things are weird with me today. woke up in a kickass mood. now I'm kinda in a lull.

Godiva hot chocolate with a shot of kahlua is my drink of choice. thanks!

i'm sending out hugs to anyone who is alone over christmas and even those who don't celebrate christmas who want to chat
~~
i'm not sure i can connect to chat here
~~
but i will try to hug all those who are here and those who are here in spirit

CHRIS: I am thinking of you and your family.
ALL ANTS: I am asking prayers and positive energy for one of LadyBug's best friends, Corinne, who was in a horrible car accident.

Oh dear, BB - that's scary. I hope she'll be okay. I'm sure she's in good hands.

tam Thanks! It was really fun to talk to him. I was nervous just because it was so random and unexpected - but it's strangely not "weird" when you watch their blogs every day, you sort of do feel like you can just start talking as if you know them already. Odd. But cool! :-) I highly recommend the Santa Hats, if you like that sort of thing...lol

Dr Donna thank you for realizing the humor. It was meant to make you all laugh a little. =)

hey Pammie........love the mileage run

BEDBUG...Lots of strength and support being sent to your daughter and her friend and her family. What a very scary thing.... I do hope she is okay.
.
Nite all!

I watched biggest loser too and didn't Heba look great and Ed for that matter but the right person won the jackpot. They are all winners in my book

SENDING YOU ALL SOME SMILE'S AND HUG'S 2NIGHT

:)

BedBug - Corinne and her family are in my prayers.

knock knock knock! This thing on?

*off to make popcorn

remember a candle for Richard
grabbing the cat and heading to bed, early day tomorrow, going to San Diego for the day

Having a rough night...Some testing in a few hours--even the promise of morphine (woot) doesn't help calm my oddly angry disposition. Wtf? I'm not lashing out at anyone, but I'm not being cooperative, either. If I don't get a grip, they're going to have to reschedule these things and I'll have to go through this all over again.
Sorry for griping--I needed a safe place to vent.

I guess it's fear. Or I'm losing my mind. Those two potentialities are not mutually exclusive...could be all kinds of things...

EF- I am here to talk.

EF- You can vent to me. I understand about the morphine not even giving you peace to cope. I have been on morphine this week too. I totally understand. More freaking tests that you really don't want, but need to and you don't want to cancel because you'll go through the anguish all over again. I've just done all that this week. Please talk to me.

You are NOT losing your mind. Are you there to talk? ELLIOT'S FRIEND???

Good Morning Colony,
~
Tip toeing thru very quietly......
Not to disturb any ANTs that are resting..........
Just wanted to wish you All a very
Happy Friday. Take Care and Have Fun and Stay Safe. {{XO}}

PAMELA- Have a good night. I wish you well. Thinking of you.

So sorry Dawn I didn't know you were there. I hope everything is ok.

Pam- I'm OK. I thought EF wanted to talk.

EF- I'm still here waiting for you??? I will wait for another 15 min. If you need someone I'm here for you.

SORRY, I have to go now. I wish you luck with your tests tomorrow. Please post how it went so we don't worry about you. OK. Hugs to you from BC and me!!!

Happy Birthday to my son!! He is two today.

happy birthday to your son!
