Almost all is well in the Colony tonight. Most Ants snug as bugs fast asleep. Our European ants are now awaking and starting their day. (**waving to Andrea).

Kitchen is all cleaned, brand new toaster in place. Breakfast ready for the day crew. Cut up fruit, cereals, oh and blueberry and apple muffins baked and ready. Scrambled eggs ready to go.

Nancy has the cat, and Rex is fed, and outside in his dog house, chomping on a big dog bone.

Still trying to figure out what happened to my chair here! Had to clean it today, looked like silly string and who knows what all over it. But it's clean and still sooo comfy. Awwwwww soooo comfy.

So I took the writing elsewhere. I'm back on track for my humor column newspaper syndication effort. And I'm really plugging hard at the NBC blog. It's the kind of writing that suits me better right now. Thank you so much for caring enough to ask. :)

I just added Sam Harris's new song FREE onto myspace. It's not with the regular music, but on the left hand side of the page. I could and would love to dance to that song. Wonderful!

I think this is "my chapter." It points out exactly why I left my 9-5 position. My heart wasn't there.

I sacrificed the financial safe-zone for being happy.

Now I get paid for living instead of existing. I love what I do and never have "workdays." I can't explain it entirely.

If you love your work, there's no "work" involved... it's labors of love. Does that make sense?

There's not a single day I get up and think... oh dreadful me... I have to punch the clock again. The word "bored" doesn't exist here... I'm never bored.

I see a list of projects and the day unfolds - easy as that.

And to my fellow canadianants since I wont be on the computer HAPPY CANADA DAY!! I think LOA and the four agreements are working for me. Especially thanx to EmaDawn who chatted with me after something happened to me at work today.

I was yelled at today by a french visitor she was complaining we didn't have enought french demonstrations, everyone here speaks both english and french(except me who's losing mine but i can speak enought tho help people out).)

she was a french visitor and I know my french isn't the greatest, she was yelling because we don't have many shows in french then again all our reading material and our employees are bilingual, and they will adjust stuff if the crowd for that show is french. after we delt with it professionally I talked to EmaDawn who reminded me of the four agreements, and now ive decided to move on I wont let this get to me I wont let that ladies comment wreck my day and affect the way i'm doing my job.

For those who are interested. I'm planning a cool colony video. the song from Grease "We go together" reminds me of the colony I want to get colony members to record themselves singing lines and then i'll get someone to help me put them together. so if your interested let me know and then when I get enought i'll start dividing the song up.

ANT..so glad that you are back, you were missed.

I've always been told to do my best at everything that I do.
My best is different from others best and I find myself expecting their best to be the same as mine, which is wrong.
It is deffinantly important to like/love what you do, that is what I'm always telling my daughter, to find what she enjoys and it will never be considered work.
This is easy when you are first starting out, but if you are older and have gotten yourself into something that may not be as fullfilling as you may have expected or considered when you were younger, you can change your view of it around and look at your job/position differently than it may be 'described' and the overall perception of it may make a difference in your performance and may make you alot happier and want to do your best.
It's all about perception and attitude sometimes.

Van Here is a brand new toaster oven for the Kitchen. Hopefully if someone trys to make "Toasted Cheese" again they will not put the cheese side of the bread downwards! Actually here:

Jazzy Instrustions for making toasted cheese. Place two pieces of bread into toaster. Toast to desired browness (not burnt). Remove toast from toaster. Place toast on Microwave Safe plate. Spread one side of each piece of toast with butter if desired. Then place piece of cheese on one piece of toast. Then place other piece of toast on top of the cheese. Place plate with sandwich in the microwave and set the cook time for 40-50 seconds (time may vary depending on wattage of microwave).


I hope this prevents any more of those nasty burnt attempts at feeding yourself in the Kitchen while I am away.

I was just over at the Ross Blog watching his housewarming. I rarely watch his anymore (no real reason) but when I heard ANT attended I had to check it out.

I'm good. Just chillin' at the tail end of a three day weekend which I needed very much to unwind. I'm gearing up for the Fourth of July celebration now.

I haven't watched Ross in a long time either. I should check it out if it has ANT in it.

Oh, I just scrolled up. That's my idea of relaxation, too. I won't be too far off from that in a few weeks, except it will be desert and not beach. No matter. The infinity pool is just as good.

ANT's appearance is very brief and mostly backlit, but at the tail end it is good (and funny). Who the heck was that Mr. Clean character? He was HUGE.

On the Fourth we always have pretty much everyone we know or ever knew or ever hoped to meet over to our house for an all-day deal of swimming and eating and then at night we fire up the bonfire and then at 10 we watch the fireworks from our front deck as the grand finale.
Yes, I'm going back to Palm Springs/Palm Desert again this year. I can't wait. July 13!!

JENNIFER: The pics are of a reception venue my daughter wanted for her wedding, which is now supposed to be Jan. 31. But she can't get the guest list down to 175, so she will have to forego the venue. Too bad, because I think it's beautiful and has all kinds of decorating possibilities. She wanted the photos I took while we were there put up on my MySpace so she could "steal" them to her MySpace. But I guess next Monday we'll have to visit another half a dozen venues, so be prepared for more photos!

I'm getting ready for a little vacation to Atlantic City ...nice super long weekend starting on Wednesday.

OH, Atlantic City sounds fun. I've never been there. My daughter went two years ago and loved it.

If anyone is doing huge picnic deals on the Fourth, I have this great cookbook for when you are making picnic type foods for crowds of like 50 or 100 or whatever. It helps you get the proportions and cooking times down right, etc.

I love kids parties. I am having it from 4:30 to about 8:30-9 pm. I think I will hold off on sleep over parties for a few years yet. I will be keeping the house cold, using tulle for a snowy and icy feel.

I had fun with the other one's Princess party the other month. I just got finished with running Bible School at my church. That was fun too.
