Feeling a little blue today, actually I have since Thanksgiving. I think it is my meds. As you know the Ambilify side effects were killing me, and so I went back to my others and the mood swings are great, but at least livable. Right now I am in a blue funk. I like it better when I am in a manic. I get so creative. After Christmas we are going to try something else, but that is a long wait. All I can hope for is a manic swing comes soon.

I have my little tree all up. I need some new balls. My old ones are just too tarnished now to do the trick. I don't use balls all that much anyway which is why I hadn't noticed how tarnished they all were. I am more of a gaudy tree lover with all the special ornaments that people have given me thru out the years. I do plan on making some new ones out of scraps of lace, gold craft buttons and tin foil. I may even use some scrap cloth I have too. Oh and I just remembered I had some sew on jewels too, I can glue them on as well, but first I must finish Ant's Christmas present. It is almost done, but since I was in a blue funk I didn't feel like finishing it, but it seems the funk is begining to lift. I do so hope that is what happening.

I am not sure, is that like Cracker Barrel, where you can get Chicken and Dumplings with a side of Dumplings and green beans and fried apples? I am really curious. We (out in California) have Sushi... California Rolls, foof-fi sushi. I have never been. I would like a "meat and three" I have missed you all!

Janine, yes, it is a meat of your choice from what the offering that day which is usually 4 different meat items with the usual being Fried Chicken and Catfish, the other two are sometimes Meatloaf and Salsbury Steak. Then you have a choice of three veggies plus a roll or flat cornbeard, which is just fried cornbread. It was always more food than I could eat so I had mine put in a to go box even though I ate most of it there.

I have taken pictures of my tree, but mostly my Santa collection. When I get my balls, I will put them on, take a picture of it and put them all on My Space Account so people can see my wonderful little tree and the santa's I have collected over the years. I only have two left that I myself painted. I gave the others away and am sad that I did. My sister took hers to work, forgot it and someone took it. Steven doesn't know where his is. Momma didn't like hers, said it was too big. Now I keep them for myself. So there y'all who didn't appreciate the work I put in on them.

Jean... LOL, I am in and out of the room. Your Christmas Balls reminded me. My husband, who I love when he isn't driving me crazy, is a little "pent up" when I use certain expressions. Like: Wash rag. All my life, my mom would tel me to go grab a wash rag and clean my face. I marry this man and I have to use "caution" and say 'wash cloth'. I asked him at what point in his childhood, he was forced to say 'wash cloth'... not that it matters, I think it's a regional thing (but he is dead serious). Yesterday, I was saying I wanted to pick two colors, one for Justin (who isn't with us) and one for Ben. Justin wants purple and Ben wants blue. So, very innocently... I told my husband Ben wanted blue balls for the tree. OMGOSH. I felt like I needed to go to church. Now, because it's in my head... I can't say Or-na-ments when I tell him about the round blue things I am going to hang on the tree. I am amused by the silliest things. Life is TOOOOOooooo short. I think I know what Keith is getting for Christmas and they are a lovely shade of blue.

Happpy Holidays all! The girls and I are Deck'in the Halls with all our BALLS! We hung a christmas wreath on the door, Mary and Joseph sit in front of the window in a bed of hay.....Lil Scrap and I are hard at work putting the tree together while Mr Scrappy snoozes and watches football. Buck and Roxy jump about playing in the mess, Life is good at the Scrappy Household this Holiday Season!!

P.S. Picaso the Hamster has already hung his christmas shocking, In hopes Santa will bring him a BIG NUT!

I just got out of the subway and I had 15 mins before my bus was to arrive. I did one quick errand at a drug store. As I came out I see the bus at the stop...10mins early! If I missed it I would had to wait another 40 mins. I'm waving at him to wait as I run across the street..He's slowly moving away and no cars were coming , then stopped. Phew! ..Great I made it. Just as I'm getting on, he points his finger as I see the police car parking in front of his bus with the lights flashing...The police officer says to me " I was watching you the whole time and i knew you were going to make a run for it". Can't u just give me a warning I said with tears welling up. " No ..not this time..This is a lesson".blah blah blah....I said to him ,now I really feel like being hit by a bus.. He's says, "what did u say"..I said never mind.

I just can't bare the thought of doing it cause it's too embarassing. I need 2 not only do it 4 myself, but esp. 4 my daughter, cause I'm all she has. I also have 2 ailing parents, which b4 long I'll have 2 take care of also. If U could please let me know I'd greatly appreciate it beyond belief. Sorry 4 asking U something like this, but I have no where else 2 turn. Thank U so much 4 being you. Hope 2 hear from U b4 it's too late. If U do write back, where can I find the answer? LeighAnn, No one wants to go to AA becaus it will make them look cool, and everyone who is there has gottent through a first meeting some are rougher than others. Someone told me the begining of the 12 steps says "we", and the 12 traditions "our" indicating that part of the strength of that program is our ability to help one another and make healing change happen. If you don't want to go there, that is absolutely your choice. If you are afraid you can go to a Dr. and ask for assistance privately. I'm currently taking a medication that is supposed to decrease the desire to drink in my brain chemistry. (campral) Best of luck for you, you deserve to get yourself back. And as so many people say here, you aren't alone. I'm on your side LeighAnn. Heady and co. you all crack me up bad. I ain't gonna mess w/ Texas. OK y'all, I have my balls up, all 9 of them... Ho Ho Ho!!! Please go to My Space and give my little tree a gander. I have been collecting Santa's for about 20 years now and I know it isn't much considering how long I have been collecting, I do have quite a few nice ones. I put on a little bit of gold flashy icicles too, not too many because it is such a small tree, but enough to say, Honey, I am something to behold. Please take a full view look. The colors come thru much better that way! Corey also bought me a new little Santa that I have on the tree now too.

Hi everybody... I am smiling so big, seeing everyone still in the holiday spirit. Heidi, I am so sorry. I am glad everyone here can take the sting out a little bit. Sometimes... life is just crooked. Ice cream and Baked Lays sound really soothing, I must say, and our friends.
Leigh Ann, I'm glad your here... and that you are asking. I don't know if you'll see this, or read it later... but I think Jean was right, and just like coming here, where there is compassion and love... and no judgement, finding a good meeting, you will find the same thing. You might need to try a couple and ask around, but I think like Nancy said... no one imagines going to a meeting could be almost the opposite of what we think. I'll tell you something... There is love and support, and experience, strength and HOPE in those meetings. There are mom's and daughters, and grandmas and sisters. There are Dr.'s and Nurses and lawyers and preachers in there. There are politicians who had everything and lost it all, and people who have or had fame... they each thought their story was unique, that no one else could understand... but that is what is so special about AA. Besides the anonymity (that they protect always) they have all been to the same depths, some worse. Many have lost every material possesion and every person they hold close to their hearts. The fact that they know how it feels and they know how to live one second at a time, some days... has some how proven to be a really great place to turn. In the end, the people who are there need the new people to come along, to remind them how fragile life can be... Sweetie, you sound young and your health is fragile. It really can be better... you can feel good and you can live without feeling shame. You can have vivid memories instead of missing ones. I do think it is a good idea with your diabetes to see your Dr. I hope you don't mind me sharing. My heart goes out to you. I know it will be ok... and you will be AMAZED that you are not alone, I promise.

Canadehdian Gal Heidi, I am truly disgusted by what that cop did to you. I'd be upset too.

I have a recent cop story that might make you feel better. We're in the process of selling the house, and as you know when a showing is taking place you have to leave the house. Anyways, we have had so many that I just park at the end of the street and wait for the agent to leave with the potential buyers. While I was waiting, my loser neighbour called the cops and said I had 4 youths in my car and we were in the process of robbing, get this, MY OWN HOUSE!!! The cop car pulls up, and they start screaming at me to get out of the car. I got out, and showed them my i.d. Well, my i.d. indicates that I own the house that I am "supposedly" robbing, with 4 other youths, who don't exist. The cop said he was sorry for scaring me, and I said, "Can't you arrest the guy for fabricating a story, and wasting police time, or mischief or something?" and the creep cop, says, "No, the neighbour was just being a good samaritan." The cop was very defensive. I find out later the cop is friends with this pooh-face neighbour. They're on some bowling league together, and they go drinking. So, crap happens to everyone. I have incredibly bad luck, although, knock on wood, I've never gotten a ticket in my life.

Just stopped in before I head to bed. You all crack me up! "meat and 3", balls in all colors, etc. LOL too funny!!

Well I got part of one of my projects done. Lets hope the rest of the week goes smoothly. This has been a real pain of a weekend... Too many flakes, I guess it's a good thing it's almost Christmas. Those flakes would fit right in, that is if it ever snowed here... Too seldom to count.

Julez: I felt those good vibes and my daughter says, "Thanks!" too. She's still got a fever, but I keep telling her the only prescription is more cowbell. (She doesn't get the SNL reference and just thinks I'm weird.)

Oh my friend with MS, well a couple of weeks ago she couldn't life her arms. She had the steriods and is doing much better.
