This pretty much sums it up. A little eye candy and some education. At the party Robert Gant, Thea Gill, Michele Clunie, Wilson Cruz, Daryl Stephens, and a ton of other stars. (That's Thea Gill and Michele Clunie from Queer as Folk who run up to me on the dance floor!)

I was asked to post something about HIV by a group of bloggers that have been around since 1996. Wow. Since this subject is so important for all of us, I wanted to make sure the colony was SAFE and PROTECTED. The biggest failing we can do for ourselves is to NOT get eductated.  You can visit them if you'd like for more information HERE

Don't be silly, put a condom on your willy! Love it!

How fun was that! Thanks for taking us along for the party Ant.
I think infection rates for younger gays is going up because the threat of death is less than it was when I was a young queer. I'm 51. Nearly all of my friends from when I was in my 20's died from AIDS. We weren't even sure why at first. We thought it was the poppers even. I was just fortunate in that I fell in love with someone who wanted to try something new (at the time), monogamy.
There's no way I'd ever have unsafe sex. It would be a slap in the face to my deceased friends.

KJAZZ....you make my point EXACTLY! Thank you for that...I want everyone to know...get tested...we aren't out of the woods yet.

Hi Ant! Hi Colony!

Great and important message today!

I used to volunteer and run the holistics department of a similar type of HIV agency in Florida. Education is Key!!

I wish eveyone good health and great joy!!!

Namaste.
~Dawn

wow ANT that was awesome.thanks for taken us to the party with you..no one else ever would...have a great day.

HIV is so serious. I was raped about 10 years ago and was scared that I might get HIV since I found out the guy who raped me was HIV positive. Thankfully I am not, but sometimes you can't do anything to protect yourself. However, if you can, please do so. I am always talking to my sons about being safe. I don't want to protect them from diseases, I do, but I also want to protect them from getting a girl pregnant. Either way, they will get a life time of problems to care for. Disease or unwanted child, both cost time and money. Please stay safe.

Love to all, Jean

.

Hey Ant - thanks for letting us come along with you to the party! What fun!!

I think a big reason why there's an increase in the number of young people being infected is that they don't have strong support systems at home. Too many kids have absentee and irresponsible parents...which leads to their irresponsible behavior. The schools try to educate, but if it's not being reinforced at home, the problems will continue. What do you think?

Hello and good morning to all. It is 10:30 here in Denver...I went to bed at 2am. Been doing some remodeling in our house and I'm pretty sure it's never...NEVER gonna be done!! My body is like.."self, don't walk, don't breath, don't open your eyes, don't move" It's been saying that for like three weeks now..and I don't see an end in sight!

Get tested people....especially before you get pregnant if you are thinking of it or trying. What an awful thing to do to bring a baby into the world when you yourself are infected with HIV AIDS. I think most DRs require and AIDS test once you are pregnant..but by then it's too late. Get er done folks!!

LONG LIVE THE ANT COLONY

ANT...I'm so jealous of your Babilon like experience. And is Luciano following you around or vice versa? Can't blame either one of you. You are both cute as can be. Pinch your cheeks!!!

Let me make a public service announcement.

The blood banks are always low during summer vacations and Holidays. My plea is that all who are able to, please make a donation which can be every 8 weeks. HIV+ can donate blood also which goes to known HIV recipiants and research as well. Not to toot my own horn too much, I have donated 63 times. Expect an hour of down time so a lunch break probably won't do.
OK I'll get off my podium now

Secretary Ant
P.S. I'm not going on a cruise the BON VOYAGE is for ANT have a safe and restful/fun trip

What a fun time lots of hot men at that party.Glad someone is still teaching the young ones right from wrong Be old fashion wait til you get the ring befor he plays with your thing

I love clubbing With ANT!!!!

Hello sweet Ant and hello wonderful Colony. I hope everyone's day has started out great. Ant, thanks so much for the HIV "awareness ad" on your blog today. I think most young people who haven't come out yet are the one's who may be more likely to not be that well educated of this because maybe they don't have anyone to turn to in their lives at that point. No matter of your sexual preference, it's extremely important to get tested because as we all know....AIDS does NOT discriminate! I love you Ant! Please tell Richard hello from one friend to another and until your next blog....I'll miss ya but have a great rest of the day! YOU ROCK!

So THAT's what goes on at those parties....

thanks for letting us be a fly on the wall ANT!!!! u are so thotful to bring us along.

i think youngsters possibly have more sex and with more partners than older ppl... i know they are way more than i am... HAHA

Very fun and VERY important blog! Thank you for sharing the fun and sharing IMPORTANT awareness!

HI TO ALL THE COLONY MEMBERS!

Great Video! Thanks for taking us there, ANT, it's something many of us would probably not see otherwise, and it does indeed raise awareness. When I was in high school, I actually participated in a AIDS awareness group through a program (I was the only teenager, everyone else was adults) in Pendleton, Oregon. And one of the things we did was learn how to speak publicly and educate about HIV and AIDS. something I'm really glad I did, because it educated me at the same time it was teaching me to educate others.

Peace and blessings and love to the entire Colony!

Aliya

Thanks for sharing that Ant. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!
Luv,
Laura

Hello ANT and Colony!

Such a very important topic. It's kind of disappeared from the media I think, and that's SO wrong. Where are the PSAs? I know I don't see them where I am. Where has all the publicity gone for HIV/AIDS? I know there are groups doing excellent work out there but if the importance of protecting yourself and getting tested is not in the mainstream media then A LOT of people just aren't getting the message, especially young people.

Get tested. I've been tested. I'm a mom living in surburia. HIV/AIDS does not discriminate.

Stepping off my soap box now. Wishing all a fun Sunday!

OMG @ Melissa Etheridge's guitar! I LOVE HER!

That looks like a great time for a great cause. Thanks for taking us with you!

Strip Trapeze! Who knew?

Thank you for prompting me to think of my cousin Michael, who died of AIDS in 1993. Thank God there are now treatments! We really have come a long way...we just need to go a little further for a cure.
Much love...

Ok Ant that was "da bomb"! Thank you for taking us with you to the party! The two ladies from Queer as Folk how fun! All the gorgeous boys how even more fun!
Serious stuff as well how important. I am 47 and went thru the 80's with sex and not being so careful. I remember thinking I had HIV forever until I got a test which was luckily negative. Then I remember all the beautiful boys I had met at a party and 5 years later them not there anymore. I cry all the time thinking of my lost friends!
EDUCATION is sooo important because young people do think they are invincible!
Love you Ant and take care.

Janine in Beautiful Bellevue

I love the talky today! PG 13 my eye. :P

Thanks for bringing a very serious issue to light, and managing to make it fun, ANT.

Thank you for the party ANT, I can live vicariously thru the blog. Are you sure that wasn't Kevin T.ant on the trapeze???? I could really see Kevin T. on a trapeze, especially doing and act like that and those speedos of his.

I am glad you had a fun night out. But even more appreciative for the important message you are delivering. I remember how horrible it was growing up in the 80's all the secrets, then all the mis-information, and sadly all the deaths. It's such an important message to deliver to any young person regardless of their natural sexuality.

Thank you so very, very much.

Love to the Colony

I forgot to add, Lois runs off singing: He flies through the air with the tiny skivvies. He's the hot smoking guy on the flying trapeze.

P.S. also, yum!

Hi again everybody :D Hi Mr. ANT :) I left my leaf blower rant in the last blog entry. I feel better now that I've purged myself of my lawncare tool resentment. So thats all out of my system now. :D

What a fun vblog, Mr. ANT! And its all TOO TRUE about some re-newed rather lax attitude that's out there among some folk regarding hiv.

We often discuss this very subject since there are many young half naked people here at the beach.

I agree that some of it is a lack of genuine safer sex ed or more particularly awareness of the up-to-the-minute stats regarding hiv/aids. And I also WONDER sometimes if there isn't some new psychology of "fatalism" engrained in some young folk today esp. since Columbine and then 9/11? This tricky modern age in which we live is full of threats and I wonder if there isn't some neo-strain of the old stupidity of "something's going get ya" thinking? You see a lot of self-destructive behaviors among a lot of people today (young & old).

YET, (and this shocked me as it was the reaction from people my age and OLDER when it was happening), last year when I was having all these strange and strong (and quick onset) allergic reactions to things - things to which I had never before experienced allergic reactions (common things like dust, air freshener spray, soaps - standing outside).

Well, although I'm in that generation which saw a lot of illness and death due to AIDS, and I was always careful of others body fluids (all my dates were required to wear rubber underwear) :D, one of the things the docs wanted to "rule out" last year was hiv. I guess that one of the first or earliest of symptoms of hiv infection CAN BE lots of new allergic reactions - because your immune system is all wonky (or compromised) and it begins to think that everything is invading you! The immune system, when compromised, can either act all lazy or all hyper at certain points.

My point (gosh finally! :D): I wasn't really all that worried about actually having hiv since I know what I've done with my body and the bodies of others, lo, these past many years (...although, ya still worry, of course, since WHOKNOWS, ya know?). But it was the reaction or response I got from some family and even a couple of friends which sort of surprised me as I told them what all was going on medical-test-wise. And their REACTION (in 2006!!!! a year of the 21st century supposedly) really surprised me. It was one of "Really? Why would they check for that?" or "Well you don't ...think...do you?" in very concerned, distant tones. It was like you mentioed you we going to eat some dead huma flesh later or something. Their reactions creeped me out more than the actual medical logic behind conducting the test. lol

It was all very surprising. I mean, on the one hand, they knew I wasn't a crack addicted streetwalker turning tricks using the same broken condom all night. And yet they seemed "surprised" that the thought of the test would even surface.

UPSHOT: I'm as healthy as an ox. And it turns out that I'm super squeaky clean (though not an Osmond).

What had occurred to me (as the theory goes) was that an all-natural supplement I had started to take quickly (like IMMEDIATELY) built up in my system and was working overtime (to say the least). It was as if I was super-loaded in vitamins due to this over the counter "all natural" crap which I had never used before but was convinced to try since I had to be on a project in Europe...and well, it made my immune system "hyper" for a short while (but enough as to cause alll these tests and stress to occur). Oh, it was a terrible period. :(

Yet, it was nice to know, in a weird way, at age 40 and as a single man that I was a prime specimen of health (except I can't tolerate penicillin anymore so I hope that I don't get the clap :D). So getting an hiv test even if you don't think you need one can be quite liberating.

Anyway, my point (AGAIN :D) is that even among those who should know better, there is still this odd, uncomfortable attitude the moment you even mention an hiv test! And that shouldn't be! There is still this discomfort or tad bit of ignorance even among the older and/or supposedly more sophisticated crowd too. EVERYONE could use a refresher course on HIV/aids and testing.

And what docs are discovering is that more and more ppl are presenting allergy-related complaints in recent years (MOST of which are stress-related, toxins-related, etc...). But concerning yourself with your immune system is and will only become a bigger and bigger and more common issue as we venture into the land of tomorrow! Well, bye now. :)

OH! And try to avoid those new all-natural over-the-counter products (comes in cold formulas, etc) that advertise they build your immune system strength by 300% and all that crap! yeah, it will build your immune system to the point where your body will start to reject your eyebrows! :D

Thanks for taking us along to the party!

I'm extremely jealous about your trip to Rome. Have Fun. We will miss you!

Barb,
We are all thinking about you and your family.

Yummy... strip tease on the trapeze.

Thanks for taking us along with you to that, Ant.

We start sex ed, which includes HIV/AIDS awareness, here in the schools in kindergarten. The parents asked us to. (Most are low income migrant families and native Americans). When the parents don't feel informed enough to talk to their children about this (or comfortable enough), then we in the school district felt we had to. We polled the parents, and they almost unanimously agreed with us that early education was important.

The area I teach in has a very high rate of sexually transmitted diseases. I personally know of five HIV positive children (13 to 20 year-olds). We started our awareness program four years ago. Hopefully, we will see a decrease in numbers from it. Education is necessary, but it takes backing up that education with the protective measures you've learned to prevent contracting anything. Children STILL, even after hearing countless testimonials from their peers, think "It can't happen to me." And then it does....

(Cross Posting)

Hey Ant, What a wonderfully funny, stunningly beautiful way to get the message out! HIV and Aids have not gone away! Are people so reckless that they would rather spend the rest of their lives taking drugs to keep themselves alive than to take 1 minute during sex to apply a condom!?! How much sense does that make??? Please, take precautions and get tested!

Good Morning Ant And Colony

Ant- Thank You for putting out about HIV/AIDS awareness. With cut backs in government spending on education people are not being educated. More money needs to be put into education and needle exchange.

Here's a few facts....

1) HIV/AIDS infections are on the rise in young people.

2) HIV/AIDS is on the rise in the elderly. Due to Viagra and them thinking they can not get pregnant the elderly do not use condoms.

3) HIV/AIDS is the leading cause of death in black women from the ages of 25-38.

4) Due to the newer HAART drugs, people think they can live with HIV/AIDS and not die.

Trust me it isn't fun. I had 3 roomie die from HIV/AIDS my first year when I lived in my first HIV/AIDS support house.

If you like to learn more about HIV/AIDS, you can click on my name to my MySpace page to the HIV/AIDS sites I posted. I will be adding more web sites to my page. If you like to read my story about finding out I was HIV/AIDS positive, you can click HERE.

Hugs,
Poz Mikey

ps HIV/AIDS is stilling killing people in this country and around the world.

Good Morning ANT and everyone in the Colony!!!

ANT, thanks so much for taking us to this party, it was fun and exciting to see, and the hot trapeze artist, WOO HOOO!!!

APLA is a fantastic organization that really helped me out when I was taking care of my best friend, before he passed away, and I am grateful to them. They worked through a project with the AIDS speciality clinic of a hospital here, and helped pay for all his prescriptions and doctor visits and also provided food coupons so I could get him certain foods that didn't bother his stomach. Anyways, I am grateful to them for their help.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and peaceful sunday!!!

Peace & Love

Jerry

ANT Thanks for the eye candy!!! LOL

Very important message especially today!!! HIV is still a threat to all!

SAFE SEX=SELF LOVE!!!!

Peace

Remember, you're no less a man for playing safe.

Hello Ant happy sunday.. love the eye candy! Keep the message strong and going about HIV.. GET TESTED... I also wanted to tell ya i just watched a mini marathon of US of Ant on LOGO.. OMG loved it.. i love miss lesbian bounty hunter she was great and can i tell you how much i love Roxanne Lynch or Miss Roxie.. OH my god how cute is her mother in law? she is one of the sweet lady.. but do you know if roxie ever got her surgery? hope so well i am off to do some cleaning!ick... have a good one

Ant, thanks for the blog from the party. It looks like so much fun!! It was for a such a great cause. It is a shame that some people dont take hiv seriously enough. Its really scary these days to be dating. I have been with my husband for 10 years and I am so thankfull not to have to worry about hiv etc. If I was single I would be obsessed with protection and getting tested. Hiv is so serious and I for sure would not want to have to deal with it for the rest of my life.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!! Love ya!

Oh my god i cant write.. in my last comment i meant to say that roxie's mom in law is one of the sweetest ladies.. what a dummy (me)

Hi Ant & Colony....I'm going to start cross-posting! Loved awareness served up hottie style! Have a great Sunday everyone! HUGS! GLO (Glo*friend)

Hey Sweetie Ant:
Thanks for the topic. The video of the party doesn't seem to work right now so I'll try later.

PLEASE don't count on the school to teach your children. I'm a teacher and we have an AIDS curriculum. But no one teaches it, especially in the elementary when it should be taught. And I say this judging from the amount of 6th - 8th grade pregnancies in my district.
We have the STARS program. Students That Aren't Ready For Sex. It doesn't work. We need to teach the nuts and bolts. It's a matter of life and death for our young people.
I was reckless for many years but with a clean bill of health I'm scared to do anything now.
MM

Ant, you are such a boywatcher, I love it !!!

HI Ant and Colony,
That was the most fun I have had in a long time, I don't get out much anymore, looked like a fun party, thanks for taking me along.
Good message too, hope the young and older ones are careful, another thing I don't have to worry about anymore.
Thanks again ANT
LOve ya

Hi everyone. This is only my second post but I wanted to chime in on this very important topic.

I think there's been a rise in younger people getting infected with HIV because the idea is out there that it's not as much of a threat anymore. People think that since they haven't heard of any new cases that the problem is under control.

Also, I do think that there is a feeling of invincibility with each generation. There's an underlying tone of, "Oh, that only happens to OTHER people. It will never happen to me." So they get careless and "forget" protection (just this once) but once is all it takes.

I have seen a rise of PSAs for HIV awareness on television and I've heard PSAs for it on the radio so there is definitely a movement to get people educated. I think it's so important to get the information out there.

Remember when HIV was a relatively new scare? People thought you could get it through the air or by simply hugging an infected person? Initially, it was called GRIDS because they thought that only gay people could get it. Pretty silly, right?

Ant, fantastic vblog! Thank you for being who you are. You are an awesome awesome person. Good luck with the medical testing. Let us know how it goes, okay?

Be well,
Christine

Great blog today. AIDS education is so important.

Love you tons and I pray that your Sunday is the most relaxed casual day you have ever had. Talk with you soon....

TOO MANY OF OUR FRIENDS HAVE DIED FROMT HIS HORRENDOUS DISEASE...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LET'S ALL EDUCATE OURSELVES AND PASS IT ON...
EDUCATION IS THE BEST PREVENTION!!!!
Love to all from Seattle

Ant,

The original Degrassi (Canadian tv show), and the Ryan White story were my first real intro's to the effects HIV can have on an individual. I think a lot of times people think, "There's no way that can happen to me." Being educated and then using what one learns is the best way to combat this disease.

P.S. Love the posing!

You say that you don't want any judging, and yet you've been very judging towards Dustin Diamond.

Uh-oh.

Happy Sunday Ant!
Love the film up~ cool

Ant, it was nice of you to still blog even though you are on a nice trip! We love hearing from you!

HI ANT,

YOU LOOK LIKE A MODEL ON THE RED CARPET!!!!!!

Thanks for the talkey blog. smiling!

Hello Ant & Colony members.
I loved the video today. Wow that guy on the trapeze was really something.

I was a volunteer for Hospice when we first started hearing about Aids/hiv. At that time people just didn't know for sure how it was spread. We were all very concerned about working with the aids people & were very careful with everything. Later we did hear how u got it & things were so much better.
I did feel bad that we treated people that had cancer & other kinds of illness different then the ones with aid/hiv.
I was a hair Stylist for many years. I still remember a lady sitting in my chair telling me she had just bought a pair of shoes. She went on to tell me that the guy that sold them to her seemed to be Gay. She said she was going to keep the shoes in the box in the closet for a month before she wore them . She was afraid that guy might have aids & she didn't want to touch the shoes.
I hope I never see anything like that again. I would have loved to tell her to get out of my chair but I was working for a big company & had no choice. I needed the job.
How sad those days were.

The unknown can be very scary.

On lighter note, I have a really good book of Everday Inspirations.
I'm going to write one evey day so please be sure to read them. I think they are very uplifting.

Any colony member that lives in the Seattle area knows that this weekend is Sea Fair. They have Hydroplane Races all day today. I'm going to get back to the races so

watched the acrobat guy TWICE!!! wonderful.

Good morning, Ant & Colonists...

HIV/AIDS is still such a concern for our gay & straight teens...

I have two teenage children myself! I've made it very conversational their whole lives that no one should have sex without a condom!!!

I would hope they would both abstain until they are older... but I'm not living in la-la land!! :o)

I still have to cross my fingers and hope that they both fight the intoxicating (and stupid-making) pull of hormones and have the strength to INSIST on a condom... even if it means putting the brakes on and not having sex until they have one.

*sigh* I still know a ton of ADULTS who don't resist their hormones long enough to "Suit Up".

How do you convince people to make their health & safety a priority over the immediate gratification of sex?? Or trusting their partner(s) with their health & safety??

I wish there was a cut & dried answer to that... but I think it just takes constant, CONSTANT conversation and arming our kids with condoms!!

Make sure your sons & daughters have them. Even if it makes you queasy with fear that they might be having sex...

Because your teen having sex isn't the real concern, is it?? The fear of them contracting HIV or getting pregnant or otherwise altering the course of their entire lives is what keeps parents up at night. Right??

Well... a good supply of condoms and lots of conversation just might help prevent all of that.

We have to be willing, as parents, to push through our own embarrassment and our hesitance to let them grow up and do what we have to in order to protect our babies!!!

Thank you, Ant, for bringing the HIV/AIDS conversation up. Oh, and for taking us along to the party!! :o)

Have a great day, everyone!!

Thanks for including us on your trip. Gay men are so handsome. I want one for a best friend. Now I am old and straight, but a really nice lady. :)
Have a good week Ant.

LMAO!! I was just going back over post and saw MY post in which I wrote..."Luv ya Ant spread the word..." Well I really think I needed a "," between "Ant and spread cuz it looks like ANT SPREAD! lol Anyone for some Antspread on toast?? Hehe

Dittos Miss Manners re: don't rely on the schools to teach the kids. You also need to be finding out exactly WHAT they are saying in those sessions at school too because you may need to do damage control when they come home!
My daughter's 4th grade teacher last year told her class that they could get AIDS from spitting on each other. WTF??! You can imagine the uproar that caused. It's 2007 -- unbelievable what incorrect info is still out there!

Colony- I put a few more HIV/AIDS sites on my MySpace page today. I have one now for women, those who have HIV/AIDS and hepatitis, now I just need a really good Latino site. Can anyone help me? I no read or write in espanol. I also need a good afro American site too.

See what I mean!!

ANT,

Thank you for the EDUCATION reminder, the ENTERTAINMENT and the EYE CANDY!

Here's a little HIV/aids song that is sure to appeal to those youngsters who love "The Telly Tubbies" as well as the oldsters who enjoy "FELLINI" (notice I said FellINI)!

Cross Post from Myspce.

Hello Ant, happy sunday. I hope your feeling better, thank you for the eye candy, i get eye candy at work sometimes I love my job :D Everyone should be tested for aids, aids is an apademic that can effect everyone. I know I said this on myspace but I agree, if you love rent then I hope you agree with these lyrics because it's true How can you connect in an age
Where strangers, landlords, lovers
Your own blood cells betray!
What binds the fabric together
When the ringing, shifting winds of change
Keep ripping away!

How do you document real life when real life's getting more like fiction each day?

I was thinking about the silent auction..hope you bid on that guitar...fun!!!The thought of the auction somehow made me think that I would love to drink coffee in the morning out of a coffee cup that has Ant,Ross, and Rosie on it. After all you three are a powerful triad. Maybe NBC or Starbuck's (as much as Ross inadvertantly advertises for them)or you three by yourselves could get behind a promotion and donate all or part of the proceeds to HIV/AIDES awareness...just a thought.
Have a great evening colony!!!

Tracie,

Try posting without filling in the boxes for your email address or URL.

If that doesn't help, then change your name to Tracie01 (as an example).

Hope that helps!

Hi everyone!!!! Thank you Ant for the Party!!! That was great!

Yes it is so important for everyone to get tested no matter what the sexual preference, sex, age religion....get tested!!!! Give Blood!!!! I wokk at a hospital and that is so important!

I also have a question if anyone can answer, trying to post on the Ross Blog and it keeps getting sent to the file where everything has to be looked at before posting? Am I doing something wrong. I was posting everyday and then pooooof, I can't anymore.

Tracie,

I somehow knew you were going to ask that question, as my suggestion now appears in the post right before you ask for anyone's suggestion! lol

“Mind is the master power that molds and makes; and man is mind; and evermore he takes the tool of thought, and shaping what he wills brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills. He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass, environment is but his looking glass.”

— James Allen

Thanks for the party Ant!!! And thank you for the HIV/AIDS info. Having AIDS and Cancer I find it so important to educate others. Too many have become complacent. I plan on addressing both issues on my blog. I added some MRI information for you with more to come. If you have time stop by.

Peace

Tracie,

I had the same problem. Remove your URL link and you can post. Not sure why.

hi again everybody :D I Mr. ANT :) (are you all packed for Italia and your cruise? don't forget to bring 1400 ANT boxer shorts)!

I think the "Desperate Housewives" polls are still open. I, er, I mean, "my neighbor" ;) just voted. It still stands at 25% for "Scott Thompson & our Mr. ANT". :) - a serious 6% lead from "Robert Gant & Chad Allen's" measly 19%. And clearly Nathan Lane DOES NOT have a colony of his own after all as he's at a ridiculous six percentile points!

What I do love is the polling option: "No Answer". lol. You get to click or answer "No Answer" as to not answer. lol.

I'm sure its a "control" choice as to allow for some variety of "none of the above" or "other". But still, no answer is an answer. Although when you add up all the combined scores, they come to 100% which either means that the "no answer" people aren't being counted ...or they're not answering. lol :) well, bye now again everybody!

Work it, Ant baby, work it! Thanks for taking 'us' along!

Amen and thank you for today's blog!
I hope the fundraiser raised alot of money and awareness!

Have a great week, colony!

ANT, when do you leave on the cruise?

Good evening ANT and Colony!

Thanks for reminding everyone something so rudimentary, yet, often forgotten - BE SAFE.

Shhh, don't tell anyone, but, I just voted again! ANT's still ahead at 25%. Whoo hoo!

Building mountains from anthills!!

Wow....I worked on voting till i saw it turn to 18% And look sense then you guys all took the voting to 25...wow.

Im sorry Diane...I left u to push for it...I recieved a call about my g-ma who is dying of cancer and it looks like the end is coming in the next three days. So ive been with family all day and wasnt able to get back on here.

Luv to all

Why am i only getting white squares where the vid blogs should be??

I'm bummed because the system that I'm on at my friend's place in WA state doesn't show video, so I have to wait til I get back to IL to be able to watch all of the vblogs from the 2 weeks that I'll have missed them :-/ But I'm still reading what Ant and everyone is posting ;-) Hope everyone had a great day!!

*hugs*
Love y'all!
~Jaime

Thank you, Ant, for your support and for coming through with this blog. I will be submitting it to the ICP for inclusion in the August edition.

As a 22 year survivor of HIV/AIDS, I am so very grateful to all those who have contributed to the blog carnival that I founded in June, 2006. We have a wonderful mix of poz people and allies to share the genuine stories of this illness. Your contribution brings some lighthearted fun and yet a serious message to the community.

You and the Ant Colony have my greatest respect.

Hi ANT and Colony XXOO-

APLA, or Aids Project Los Angeles, is a great organization that needs as much financial help, from people like you as possible. PLEASE go to their website: apla.org to see what YOU can do to help children, women, and men living with HIV or AIDS. I support them every year.

Hey all...thanks so much for voting...I had no idea this was mission control!! I absolutely adore you guys. And I leave for my cruise Tuesday EARLY am. But GREAT NEWS...the WONDERFUL folks at NBC are paying for the VERY EXEPENSIVE internet while I am at sea...so we will not be blog free...I will still post daily and upload vids (Course that's if all the tech stuff on the boat goes well.) SO KUDOS to NBC for stepping up and allowing our colony to grow and thrive!

xo

Wonderful footage and great message to make everyone aware :) I hope everything is going well.

Another great blog Ant! I was away all day today at a baby shower for my oldest daughter. Just got back home and came straight to the colony to get my 'fix'...lol...you understand the addiction to this place i know.
Thanks for promoting education on this subject. We can never know too much. You are very influential here so you never know you may have just saved a life or at least gotten someone diagnosed sooner so they can have the best quality of life possible. So very important. I think just about everyone by now has at least known someone or someone's family who were dealing with HIV and AIDS and that is so sad but when it gets personal people finally start moving to help the cause. And a lot of us also have had friends, good friends, precious spirits, too damn young to die, lose the battle. One of the funniest dearest friends I ever had died as a result of this. The world lost big when we lost him. His birthday was 2 days after mine, and every year when I am older, I end up thinking of him and the fact that he won't be getting another year older and I miss him sooo. I always try to promote understanding, tolerance and acceptance in the world today. (Which is another way of saying loving others as we have been loved) I just don't want us to lose any more Matt Cotter's in this world plllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssseeeeeeee colony friends, listen to Ant's words, get tested & be safe, in other words be good to yourself and those you love and care about. I would do anything, anything, ANYTHING to try to prevent even person from suffering and dying this way.
Thanks again Ant.
Your sister-friend,
~Cathy~
aka J.A.Sparrow

P.S.- Hi Richard, hope this finds you well, friend. Did we really just see you???!!! Coooool, very cool. Take care. Do me a favor, please give ANT a big tight hug from me. And consider yourselves hugged bye me too!!

Hey Ant,

Thanks for taking us along to the party. Maybe I missed it but do you know how much was raised?

Bravo! (er....NBC!)

Hugs,

Kevin

I do think young people feel invincible sometimes.
And it's not just education, it's also perception -
We still don't have condom commercials on the big networks, but Viagra is okay? Clearly both involve erections - why is it okay for drug companies to talk penis, but a condom company can't say "Wrap that rascal?"

Good morning colony,
Monday again, and back to work. It's gray and cool here today, also had a bit of rain.
My Uncle turns 80 today, hard to believe I have an 80 year old uncle who is my 56 year old father's brother.
He has no children, but has always been a father figure to me. I love him dearly. Every year he plants a 50x150 foot garden and this year the crop has been the best it's ever been. He gives me inspiration to know that we all have the ability to enjoy all that life has to offer, not matter what bumps and bruises we get along the way.
Have a great day everyone!!!!

Hugs and Smooches,
Olives

Hey Ant. Was guided here by the blog buddies, I love your blog....Loved you on Ross' blog, and hope to see more of you before I deploy. Peace out!

Shout out to YOU ANT for mentioning the SAFEST way to prevent ANY STD is abstinence.

Hope your tests pinpoint the reasons for your headaches and they can find something to combat them.
