You Won't Believe Your Eyes - BL4 FINALE

The FINALE – where to begin? First of all, I gotta admit I was pretty nervous to do a LIVE two hour finale. My first real experience hosting live tv. But, as soon as we started talking about the contestants, Jim, Phil, Nicole, B, Amy… seeing their successes, everything else just faded away. It was so thrilling to be up on that stage with everyone – and hearing their families cheering from the audience. And weren’t their transformations just unbelievable?! I was blown away by everyone – how great they looked and how confident and proud they seemed – as well they should! They all clearly learned so much from Bob, Kim and Jillian, and they took it home and have transformed their lives.


Kae looked fabulous and adorable in her sleek little black dress. Amy totally rocked in her fab short hair cut and sassy dress. I could go on and on about everyone and how great they looked – how hot did Phil, Neil, B… how hot were all the boys! Jerry, ripping his shirt off?? That was definitely unexpected! Lol. But man, he worked his butt off, and he deserved a moment to show off. I’m so glad I got the chance to ask Neil about those 17lbs. seriously – how do you tell your family about that? “see, mom, dad… what happened was…” But, Neil is a really great guy, and everyone in the house – even the black team – loves him. That’s when you have to remember it’s a game, too… Honestly, if I didn’t’ have a million things to concentrate on I would have been crying with everyone with pride over all 18 of them.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t sit back and enjoy the show because I was working! Ha! Since the contestants didn’t get a real rehearsal, I was basically in charge of making sure everything went smoothly out on stage. So, I had about a million things on my mind – but when Julie popped through that old photo, in her gorgeous pants and strapless top, she took my breath away. As did Hollie, Isabeau and Bill. The final Four were all dressed to kill and looked ready to take on that scale one last time.


How cool is it that Isabeau is a personal trainer? I loved her ‘pay it forward’ attitude about wanting to share what she’s learned from Jillian. And I hope you all see how sweet, awesome and funny Julie is. I love her attitude towards life, and her quick wit. Nicole and I spoke during a commercial break about how weird it was that some fans thought Julie was being mean about Nicole’s ‘accident’. Nicole definitely dishes it out to everyone, she should practically do stand up, and she can take it too. Julie just has a funny, clever way of commenting on everything that’s happening, and certainly can make fun of herself too, as you saw when she talked about speaking before Congress… I love that you saw Hollie’s emotions when she talked about making it all the way to the final four with her teammates. Bill and Jim doing their ‘dance’?? How insane is it that the TWINS won? So amazing. Everyone deserved all the applause and cheering and love that was in that room – and I was so glad/lucky to be a part of their journey. I am going to miss them SO MUCH!!!


I care about everyone in the house so much, and had such a good time with them for four months, they are all such special people, and I’m so glad you got to get to know them, and see them as I do… And we’re in the middle of shooting season 5, another awesome group of people, so tune in January 1st, to meet them!!!

Oh and – the confetti tasted great. Ha ha. Seriously? What can you do? Rehearse it a million times, and there are still some things you just can’t control. lol. That's live tv for you! :)

How on earth do you do it? I only have one job and a family and can barely manage. How do you juggle 2 jobs, a family and charity work. You are awesome, and a great role model. Keep up the great work and good luck.

I really am amazed how you find the time to do all the things you have to do! you are someone I look up to. I am 17 years old and have been impressed by you since I started watching Days of our lives back in like 1997 !wow I was only 7 then..I only would get to see the show here and there though..for a while my mom wouldn't let me watch it and my only way to see it was to sneak around and watch it without her knowing! apparently she was worried about what my innocent eyes would see... LOL.!She began letting me watch it with her in like 2003.. of course I had to go online and find earlier clips of the show.LOL.and I did! and I got all caught up with what was going on.the earliest clips of you I found was when you met Lucas for the first time.hehe ;).wow I can go on forever how much I love you two together on the show!Im diffinitly a Sami and Lucas fan.I cant tell you how gorgeous I think you are!Im so jealous of your eyes! lol. mine are boring brown!! haha.wow..well sorry about writing so much. Theres so much I just wanted to say to you!I think you are an outstanding actress you have so much talent!How you deal with all the work you have to do and then your family is just incredible!

I wanted to let you know that you have been a huge encouragement to me. Seeing you change people's lives on The Biggest Looser gave me the courage to change my life. I am extremely overweight. I am 23 and have weighed over 300 pounds for the last three years. I was overweight my whole life…I can remember being 8 or 9 as a kid and seeing the doctor write "morbidly obese" on my chart. That was embarrassing to say the least. And now I am starting to have other signs that my weight is affecting my health, like high blood pressure.

Like I said, I have been extremely encouraged by the show...So, here is my plan. For the next month and a half or so (until I can save enough money) I am going to start changing things with little goals. Making sure that I am just being more active in general, cutting out all the candy and snack food that I eat, and introducing more healthy foods. Then as soon as i have enough money, I am renting a car, driving across the country to Tennessee, and checking myself into a hotel for 10 weeks. In those ten weeks I am going to reevaluate my life. Figure out what it is I want to do with my life, and where I want to end up. I am going to eat extremely healthy and exercise like mad. (I made sure the hotel had a workout room):). Why Tennessee? Well, I was there once for a few weeks and loved it…there really is no other reason. And the whole purpose of going away is because I know that this is not something I can do while I am at home. I am very much an emotional eater, and everyone else around me is overweight also. For some reason, it is easier to eat when everyone else is. So, I guess what I am hoping to accomplish in this 10 weeks is that I will have a big jump start on a great diet and new way of life, and I will also be able to be strong enough to go back and encourage my family and friends, and be able to stick with it.

Again, I just wanted to thank you for being such a great encouragement and see if you had any tips or suggestions to make this "mission" more effective.

Ali, I really can't believe how great all of the contestants looked but Holly absolutely blew me away, as did Julie! They both looked stunning. Maybe next season we'll have a female winner on The Biggest Loser. I'm so glad you are the host. I will miss seeing everyone one of them on tv though. You did an awesome job with the finale. I wasn't really a fan of The Biggest Loser until now, because you're the host.lol. I've been a fan of you for years. It was amazing watching these people transform their lives.

I've been working out for about a year now, something I decided to do a year ago...It feels great working out 3-4 times a week. Having a trainer for the first five months kept me motivated. The hardest part is sticking to a healthy diet. How do you do it??

Hello Ali,
My name is Conor and I'm 14 years old. People often think its weird that I watch a tv show about people losing wieght, but I just wanted you to know that I have never missed an episode! I try to remember everything taught to the contestants on the show and put it into my everyday life. Im skinny, so I get from people "You dont need to watch that show! Your not fat!". But I know its not about being "fat", its about being "fit". The Biggest Loser is the best show ever to be put on the television and I would rather watch it than anything on MTV like most teenagers. At this moment, I'm watching the beginning of the 5th season with the couples. I just wanted you to know that...I couldnt find any other way to give you this message so I just posted it on this blog.

Conor you TOTALLY rock man!! HIGH FIVE!
I am a skinny 30 yr old, and I get the same thing. People seem to forget, even if you are tiny, does NOT necessarily mean your heart is healthy. Scares me constantly.
So, again, you are right, I watch BL every week too- because it is about weight-loss, but also about eating well and taking care of yourself. I love watching the fitness routines too. :)

Love you Ali. You are the part of days. Cannot believe you are are as old as you are. Seems like you were just a girl we were about the same age. I was 11 when I first started watching days. You were in "High School" I think. It has been a minute. You tried to sell "Belle". I am so proud of you and what you have done with your self and your life. I hope you win the soap award thing-a-ma-giggy. You or Dedra one should have it in the bank. Especially after playing Collen as well. That must have been very difficult. Keep doing what you do. Cannot wait to hear about you really starting a family.
