The Biggest Loser - Week 3

Yikes! This was such a busy week!!! First the temptation started the week off with some major drama. After explaining to everyone that they would have to spend time alone in a room with all that food, with one person winning a 3 lb pass at the next weigh-in, they were also told there was no strategizing amongst teammates. As people came out from the room, there was a lot of trash talk – some people saying they didn’t eat anything and others claiming the crew will have to restock the room before the next person goes.


Meanwhile, the contestants who hadn’t gone yet, weren’t supposed to be strategizing, they were only allowed to talk to me! Ha – so we talked about movies (one of my favorite go-to conversations), we quoted our favorite lines from movies, and Nicole told me that she was a long time Days fan. She asked me about the show, and what was happening right now. I gave her a brief synopsis and soon everyone was in on it – even Ryan and Neil had questions about the show and how it works etc. It was really my first chance to sit and get to know everyone better.


The challenge was SO fun --– are you faster than a 3rd grader??? The kids they got to run against our teams were so cute, and FAST!! When I found out what the challenge would be, I had no idea how it would turn out. The crew and I were trying to guess, figure out what they best strategy would be, and which kid was the fastest. They were all like rockets! B and Jim and some of the others exchanged some cute light-hearted trash talk with Jack.


The weigh-in was a huge relief to the Red Team - not just did they avoid elimination, but they WON the weigh-in. It was definitely a boost for them. But the Blue team was completely caught off guard and unhappy about their first elimination.


I was so sad to say ‘good-bye’ to Jerry. He has such a great, outgoing personality. And I think everyone on Campus was motivated by how hard he worked to lose weight. The Blue team commented that they all felt he had the strength, mentally and physically to continue on his own at home, which was what made their decision. But it was still hard to see him leave.

Hey girl! Love your energy w/days, biggest loser and being a wife and mom. Been a devoted watcher of days since I was 6 (w/my mom) and considering I'm "almost" mid 30's that's a long time! hehe. Anyways, love the storyline, your accent, oh and that "Steve and Kayla" are back. Keep up the great work!
PS. I'm not sure how to do this post a comment thing, so I hope I did it right.

I loved the dress that you wore during the race with the "Yellow Team" - the pink shirt, the brown baby doll dress, and the hat! LOVED IT! Like the previous post, how can I find out who the designer is and where to get it?

Hi Ali, I just want to say that I was very pleasantly surprised to see you hosting on Biggest Loser! I have been a huge fan since the beginning of the show and have often thought of applying for it myself. Now I may do it because I'll get to meet you too. I have also been a Major fan of "Days" for a lot of years now and have watched you since the first time you were on with that sexy love scene with Lucas. Keep up the great work!!! Congrats on the new baby, they're so much fun!

I'm one of the relics..watched since day 1 in 1965 and have only missed 5 shows! it's my show.and my 5 sons still tease me and ask how gramma Alice is doing. give her a hug when you see her. I think what your doing on Days and Biggest Loser is awesome. I love that you have finally put your family before your own needs. It makes Sami such a better person to watch. I'm glad your the host on BL. I've been watching it from the beginning and with you being the host it lets the contestants know that you can overcome being heavy. Hey would you mind responding to me. I've been trying to submit an idea from MOMS trying to get in shape to NBC and maybe you'd be interested.
