Hope becoming a family of 4 goes smoothly as it can with a toddler in the house! Megan Hope is a beautiful name.

I just wanted to say congrates on the new baby girl. I have 3 girls myself (15,7 and 6). My youngest daughter turned 6 today she is autistic. I love that they r tackling that on the show with theo. I cry most of the time when I watch that story line. Kelli is doing so much better now she is in Kindergarten now. Um saw something on the internet that you are a former star on dool is this true, are they getting rid of sammy? My 7 yr old is named Samantha. I will be heartbroken if it is true you r my favorite on there. Well take care and enjoy having a girl.

Congratulations, Alison! Just found this blog and look forward to more. I cried for the decision they had to make last night. But, I know Dan will put the decision to good use. Jerry and Estella looked fantastic in the update! I have about seventy pounds to lose and I put my cardio video in at the shows end and dedicated last nights work out to Jerry! What an inspirational human!

Bob surprised me last night, whooly cow!! That was just funny to watch, that would be more of a Jillian freak out, than Bob!!

I cried a lot during last night's show, just so sad to see them people so big. Especially Dan. So very sad. And his buddy back home, yikes eating the hot dogs, NOT a good move, course was that his mom there...I'm sorry but I blame parents for kids that are obese. Yes he's older, but if that's how he was raised. Just like Vicki took the blame for her daughter being overweight, she SHOULD cause SHE'S the one doing the grocery shopping & cooking the meals, not the little girl! Parents need to realize what they are doing to their kids. We are starting to see this now during the wrestling season. My son wrestled against a 121 pound FIRST grader, that's a 7 year old weighing 121 pounds. And when it was over, my son saw him in the cafeteria eating a taco in a bag, hot dog, candy, popcorn, & a Mt Dew. After my son said that, I said, well Nick, THAT is why he is 121 pounds. Sad.

Congrats on your new baby girl! I just had one back in July. They're such little joys to watch grow! Not to mention they're awfully fun dressing up! ;oD

I was so sad to see Jerry & Dan's weightloss last night. I think Dan will take Jerry's decision to heart this week.

I have to tell you I cried at last night's show. Just cried. I thought for sure he would be safe. Both of them. I have an autoimmune skin disease that's causing my hair to fall out so now I wear lots of hats and would love to get one like yours. Congratulations’ Allison on the new baby! I'm a January baby myself (January 19th) so expect your daughter to be a sensitive, caring person.
The show never fails to tug at my heartstrings. I get all welled up when I watch the emotions come pouring out of the contestants; especially if they're people who you really want to root for. So far this season, I like almost all of them (Joelle being the exception), especially after watching some of the nasty game playing from last season. That group, in my opinion, lost focus and the "real" reason for them being on the show in the first place. This group has not and they are there to truly change their lives.

I appreciate it. I actually tuned in for Monday's BL and made it through with out crying until the camera caught you crying Allison. I officially lost it then!!! I cried all the way to the end of the show from that moment on. That was a tough ending to watch and I too hope Dan does good and does not give up!!! It was a wonderful thing to see Jerry and his wife doing soooooo good and having fun with their grandchildren!!! I'm not sure this is the right place to make the comment in or to, but WHAT HAS HAPPENED WITH TBL THIS SEASON?? Yes, I know the challenge is much (much) bigger than in previous seasons this time, and yes I know that if it was up to me nobody will be elliminated ever from any episode BUT - and I seriously mean this - WHY SEND JERRY HOME?? He obviously wants to be there and, like the rest, he needs to be there... can't you guys make an exception one night? (personally, I think Joelle should be the one at home right now, the girl wasn't even sure she wanted to be there from day one.... and - in agreement with Bob: She wasn't even trying!)
I really think it was unfair to send Jerry or the kid even to ellimination. Not to undermine Joelle, but even SHE should know it wasn't fair.
I can even understand why cut the teams in half the first night*, but it was really dissapointing to see Jerry go; for a moment it felt TBL was just another reality tv show with no higher purpose... :(

P.S. *Jillian and Bob have the work of many seasons all rolled up into this one: But you can do it guys!
2. Please bring Jerry back... unfortunately not everyone takes, wants to take nor is ready to take on the full advantages of what TBL offers, but we all know Jerry is the complete opposite of that. It was unfair to put them up for elimination:(.

Alison, congratulations on the Birth of Megan Hope!! That is so exciting! I have been watching that baby grow on Days and Biggest Loser and I have been watching closely to see when you had her.
I, too, was very sad to see what happened to Jerry and I cried right along with you. It made me feel a little better though to see how well he has been doing since he got home. It was surprising to see you emotional and I have been wondering how you keep from doing that during all the other shows especially since you are around the contestants on a regular basis.
Anyway, I want to wish you well and I am so happy that everyone is doing great! Thank you for your hard work and entertaining ways for all these years! I love watching you and I hope you are around for many more years to come!

I think what you have here is the most amazing show ever. You guys are taking a country full of overweight people and giving them hope. I am one of them and after I have my baby in August, I plan to join in on losing weight. I think it is very cool that you have some of the heaviest people ever on your show. The tips on each show are great. But there is one thing I would like to see. My mom is severely obese but cant walk. She is in a wheel chair 90% of the time when going anywhere. The farthest she can go is to the bathroom. I think you should have a special in your off seasons on how people in her situation can get moving without having to walk. She wants to lose weight so she can get around a little easier, but she keeps failing. I think tips for people in her situation would be amazing. Thank you for your time, and CONGRATULATIONS on the baby girl.

CONGRATS on Megan! I just had a baby boy in November-10 lbs 2 oz. I ended up gaining close to 70 lbs with him. The show is a great inspiration to me and my mother. We both have a lot to lose. I think you do a great job hosting the Biggest Loser. You are very compassionate and we can tell that you are sincere with the contestants. It was so hard to see Jerry leave last night. Good luck in these next few weeks....get some sleep:)

I also want to say thank you for being human. It's nice to see that I am not the only one that gets emotional while watching The Biggest Loser. Even though I know you try not to cry, I can tell that you are a very caring and sensitive person. I appreciate that about you as a Host and I know the contestants do to. It's nice to know that it's not just a game to you, but so much more. On a different note, my 18 year old daughter keeps telling me how "cool" it would be to see a "Celebrity Biggest Loser" take place. She has noticed that a lot of celebrities (actors, musicians, sports figures, etc) today are either trying to lose weight or they are already over weight. The Celebrities could donate their winnings to their favorite Charities. I thought it was a good idea myself, so thought I would mention it to you and now I have. lol

Congratulations on the new baby and what an adorable name!! Hope Ben likes being a big brother too! When my godddaughter was born her sister (who was 2 1/2) did not want anyone else holding her...she kept saying "No, my baby sista!" Hilarious! Last night, I was heartbroken when Jerry only lost 2 lbs and continued to have tears for the rest of the episode. I did feel better at the end when I saw how good Jerry and Estella looked and I am glad they both got the help that they needed! Good luck with the little one and hope you get some sleep! (and I really hope Nicole doesn't end up with Sami's baby lol)

Hi Ali! Congratulations on you precious new baby girl!! I have 4 children; 2 girls and 2 boys ages 13, 6 1/2, 5 & 2 1/2 and I have to admit that the newborn days are my favorite, who can resist the sweet sleeping baby cuddled up in your arms, angels on earth! I've learned with each child to appreciate each stage because they are only babies for a short time (although, when sleep deprived it feels like they'll never sleep through the night. lol.) Cherish every moment with your children! Scary to think I'm 35 but I have been watching Days of Our Lives since I was in high school, almost 20 years now....I admit I did miss a few years here and there but now that I can DVR the show I can always catch up. I've watched you grow up on tv and think you're absolutely wonderful! My husband walked in over the holidays as I was 'catching up'...he of course just laughs at me but after a few minutes of watching with me said, "she (Ali) is the best, most believable of them all..." (scene with Rafe) just felt it was a compliment worth sharing. So excited I found your blog last fall, I enjoy reading your thoughts and so nice to get to know you. Your role on Biggest Loser has been so inspiring, so glad you took the position. Now, after my last 3 pregnancies time to get the dust cleaned off the treadmill and shed some unwanted baby pounds...have to admit watching the show in the evenings keeps me from snacking, I'd feel absolutely guilty if I did! Enjoy this time with the family!

Ali, Congratulations on your baby. This is the greatest joy that life gives us parents.

As a mom, I raised three healthy girls; but, not without challenges.

We have Celiac in my family's DNA. www.celiac.com The bottom line is that our bodies can't process wheat. That means if we eat it, we wear it... It doesn't process out of our bodies, and as adults, that means annual weight gain for us that just doesn't go away - ever - without getting to the bottom of it, and eliminating it.

I can't help but wonder, as I watch your participants, how many of them are Celiacs, too? That would even begin to explain why some people - when away from the ranch - continue to have weight come back on... Because the original problem wasn't eliminated.

I also wonder at what point The Biggest Loser will also feature a psychologist or psychiatrist as part of your program? Since eating disorders are as much psychological as they are physiological (a manifestation), wouldn't it really benefit your contestants to begin with the end in mind?

Just thoughts that I felt a need to share, in order to have your program be even better than it is, if that's even possible ;^)

I would like to see the Biggest Loser do an abbreviated show. A show where adults/family only have 20 lbs to lose, but just can't do it. Sometimes no matter what you eat, or work out, or not eat, it just doesn't come off. So many people are in this category.

Congrats Ali! I am really excited to see that you just had your baby girl. I myself am about to have a little girl in a couple weeks. I have been watching you the whole time i have been pregnant on both days and biggest loser. The last episode of Biggest loser was hard to watch. Both Jerry and Dan worked really hard and needed to stay there. I was really really hoping that Joelle would fall behind the yellow line and have to go. Dan had so much more weight to carry than everyone else and he STILL completed the challenge without complaining. all he wants to do is work hard and prove that he can do it. It was very funny to see Bob get after Joelle. I hope and pray that Dan stays on the show for a long time, because he wants and needs to make a change. Also good luck to you and your family with your new little one!

Last weeks episode was so intense. When bob blew up, I was laughing so hard I was crying. He was right. He was being possessed by Jillian xD. The elimination was the WORST!!! Seeing Dan lose 30lbs in one week and 3 the next was crazy. Having the heaviest person and the oldest person up for elimination was so emotional. Unfortunately, I had to agree with Ron because Jerry has already lived his life and even if he can't get healthy, it was a good time. Dan on the other hand--is only a 19 year old boy. We want him to see age 63, just as jerry did.

Congrats on your baby, and Im so glad you didnt give her a weird celebrity name. Megan Hope is such a cute name. :)

Congrats Ali on the birth of Megan Hope! What a gorgeous name! I have never watched a full season of TBL because I would be busy with college or now chasing after my babies! My husband is currently away with the Army and I have the time to watch the show at night. When I talk to him on the phone he will tell me all about the officer things he does and I tell him about the show :). Jerry going home was sad BUT look how amazing he and Estella look now. He learned from the show. I am glad that Joelle is still on the show, if she were to be eliminated then he life would never change. She needs to learn that actions speak louder than words. I love the show and seeing you get emotional showed me how much of a relationship that you, Bob, and Jillian have with these people. You and everyone else behind the scenes are changing these contestants lives. Good for you!

Congrats to you, baby, and Dad! I am sure life will be very interesting at home with 2 children now! I too was sad at the weight loss of Jerry & Dan but they did the right thing keeping Dan there. It is nice to see caring people this season! After a full day of inauguration I will be happy to see the show this evening! I too was quite emotional in regards to Jerry's weight loss, sacrifice to Dan and elimination.

This season seems to be one that really captures the attention at the amazing weight losses.
