The Come-Back Kids

How cool was that, seeing everyone back??!!! Wasn’t it so amazing to see how well everyone has done at home. Curtis blew me away – 100lbs, in 10 weeks, after only being on campus for 2 weeks. Ali, I was so thrilled that she won a chance to come back to Campus. She obviously has succeeded at home (how HOT is she!!), and made such a huge change in her whole outlook, but it was so awesome that all that hard work paid off, and that she gets to come back and compete again.

Lynn told me that he didn’t go home right away ready to change his ways. That it was a struggle for him at first. And actually, it was seeing the season 4 finale that ended up making the difference for him. That when he saw all the successes of Phil, Jerry (they’re the same age), Neil, etc, he felt that he could do it too – and now he’s on his way! He is helping Jenny and they are making great progress.

And, of course, I was so torn – watching Bernie weigh-in again, I so wanted him back into the game. But I felt the exact same way about Mark. I adore them both. And at the same time, Curtis would have been fun to have back at the ranch since we didn’t get enough time with him, and he’s such a cool guy. I was rooting for them all. But, of course, am delighted to see Mark reunited with his blue team.

Roger had to tease me about my reaction to Curtis losing 100lbs. I don’t usually high-five people during at the weigh-ins! It’s not really on purpose, but I guess because I want to be fair, and make sure everyone knows I’m equally happy for them all, I try to keep my reactions to their #s on the scale contained. But when that number – 100 exactly – came up on the board, I was just so caught off guard that I was already high-fiving him and celebrating with everyone before I realized what was happening. So, at spin class the next day Roger and Jay had to do their impression of me cheering him on, and being so happy for him. I took their ribbing well, but reminded him I was just as happy for him – but Curtis didn’t have the advantage of being on campus when he lost all that weight – that is pretty spectacular, right?!

I heart Jillian.

Great job hosting the show -- you always make it a fun evening for my household. I'm happy to see Ali and Mark back. Yes, she's looking great, but I feel sorry for her because the other girls are whiney and unaccepting. Mark always makes things exciting with his mix of competitiveness and sensitivity. I can't wait for the next show -- how terrible is was for them to leave us hanging!

And the biggest loser of this week's episode? Jillian. Someone needs to wash her mouth out with soap. She was terrible to you.

I think that Bob is right. There are a lot of emotions running through the game at this point, and a lot of what gets said will be regretted at some point. I mean Jillian is like those girls' mom...and while the look on your face was worth more than a million words, I thought it was right of her to stick up for her girls. I know that you pointed out that Ali won the weigh-in that night despite what the black team said...and I would like to say this...I believe a girl can win an individual week weigh-in, but I really don't see a woman ever winning the show. Like Brittany said...guys just drop it faster than girls do. I think this week was really emotional...I was rooting for Bernie, and was sad that he missed it by...two pounds...or something like that. I know the girls missed him, but I think we have to remember that these people are so emotionally invested in these shows...weight loss is such a challenge...along with dealing with personal things, and losing people you're close to on campus?...that's gotta be almost too much after everything else. I think we need to back of the contestants and be a little nicer to them. Good job this week though, Ali...I can't wait to see next week's results.

I like you as the host, but I'm wondering, do they tell you what to say? I think it might be a bit difficult doing a challenge with someone pointing out how I'm falling behind, etc? However, it would be boring to just watch also. Jillian was a bit much. I understand where she's coming from, but she didn't have to be so rude.

I just want to say I think the way you carried on after the obvious shock to Jillian's outburst was more than just professional. You did great! I was watching to see if the incident would have a negative effect as you continued through the show. The stunned reaction at first had me thinking "She is going to be fuming over this for the rest of the show." (Rightfully so BTW) But your were cheerful and pleasant. Great job!

We don't like Jillian in our house. She seems totally fake on all the episodes and her heart to hearts with her "girls" feels like a less than mediocre episode of days of our lives. (And I love Days) She seems like she's acting for the cameras. She put you in an needlessly uncomfortable position which again seemed childish and contrived. Good for you pointing out a female won this week. Last season her whole team was in the finals and this season it looks possible that Bob's could be the victor and has his boys in the finals. I hope that happens. And I hope Kim comes back next season.
I heart bob

It was great seeing everyone back, they all look so great. I'm glad to have Ali and Mark back on campus. However, I would of loved to see Bernie there too, so sad that he only missed it by two pounds.

Sure it's hard for a woman to drop pounds the way men do. But it's definately not impossible, and Ali proved that at the last weigh in by being the biggest loser of the week. She has the right attitude, as much as I love the other girls, they complain all the time how they can't go up against the big boys. Good for Ali for showing what was thought to be the impossible not so impossible after all.

I still heart Jillian, Bob is right, emotions do run high at this point in the game, and people will probably regret what they say. Great job Ali for handling the situation very professionally.

Keep up the good work Ali, can't wait to see the season finale.

Farah

I think those three girls and Jillian were all out of line. Ali showed that a girl can win a week, which I think is great. I also think if the girls whined a little less and worked out and ate right, they could have had a chance to send one of the big boys home. They did not have to lose all that much, but I think the fact that they were sad about Bernie they didn't work as hard. You saw it when Jillian was in there talking with them and they said they ate too much. Why would you do that? Instead of whining and giving up, how about working really hard and beating the boys?!? That is what the Blue team did when they lost Mark. The black team had beat out the boys many times and that is why the black team came in to the individual part with one more person. Then after last week they were even 3 to 3. Last season the black team dominated and it was never even, but Blue and Red kept fighting to stay in. All the way down to Neil trying his hardest to make it into the final four. You never saw them whining and that is why Neil pulled a 10 the last weigh in, because he kept working and working. Same with the red team when it was down to B. He worked hard. Those girls had a chance this week and blew it, I hope to see 3 boys and Ali in the final, because I am sick of the whining girls.

LOL, it's amazing how wrapped up in TV we can get. I was just disappointed that there was no elimination! Ali, you did a great job under Jillian's fire. I think you should get a raise! ;)

I have to say, I love the show, but you were obviously told to ask the tough questions to Brittany and Jillian did the right thing. I get that you want ratings and drama produces good ratings, but these are people's feelings still and some common sense should be applied. Granted Jillian didn't exactly handle it the right way (although at first she was VERY calm if you go back and watch), but her intentions were to protect the poor girl from totally breaking down. You can see how fragile Brittany is and you knew she had a bad week (you DO work for the show, right?) despite pretending you didn't know so you should have left well enough alone. However, what I don't get is why you didn't address this argument in your blog. That's all people wanna know about and there isn't one word about it. This is why people think you're fake. You were obviously shaken up by it (I had it DVR'ed and watched multiple times and even through NBC's editing you can tell you were shaken up by Jillian's outburst) so why not mention it here? Was this fight planned? As I said, some people can't see through the editing but a keener eye will know that what we saw on TV is a microcosm of what actually happened. Please share, Ali!

Hi Ali, this is my first time posting and let me just say that i am a big fan of yours and have been for many years. I think you handled the situation with Jillian very well and professionally on the last episode. She had no right to go off on you like that and I was totally praying that you would have a "Sami" moment on her but of course I guess it wouldn't be right. True it is harder for girls to lose weight but the girls on the show are so darn whiney! all they do is cry and whine. one of them even said she was eating and eating away. They still have a lot of weight to lose so maybe if they shut up and quit feeling like losers they will lose more weight. I think it is a psychological thing. If you keep saying you can't do something then you will never do it until you believe in yourself. But anyways I think your wonderful and you are doing a terrific job as host!!!
Cherine

Isn't it funny how everyone is praising a girl for winning the week but not mentioning that 2 girls are in the bottom 2? No offense, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

STOP! Jillian is amaaaaazing! Jealousy gets you nowhere!!!

STOP! Jillian is amaaaaazing! Jealousy gets you nowhere!!!

STOP! Jillian is amaaaaazing! Jealousy gets you nowhere!!!

Holy 3-post. Let's stick to the point here. Obviously Ali was shaken up and out of line, but it's a show and these people had to have known that tough questions were coming their way. Jillian should know that too. It must have taken every acting bone in your body, Allison, to pretend like Jillian's outburst didn't bother you for the rest of the weigh-in. I would have also like to hear you comment on that. Typical.

OK, first of all, the girls are really beginning to grate on my nerves. The black team had several weigh ins that they beat the blue team at. But every week they act as if they've never achieved that goal. Before the return of the old players, it was evenly split 3 to 3. That's pretty amazing! Secondly, what was with Jillian? I was completely baffled by her reaction. She acted as if everyone was ganging up on Brittany and tormenting her. I love this show - I think it is so inspiring to watch these people completely transform themselves. They should all be so proud of themselves!

I'm not even aloud to watch the show anymore because my dad said that even though that bad words were blanked out im not aloud to watch it because its inaproprite for a 12 year old. Which is Totally unfair!!! You're a Great Host!! and yea when is Bryan Datillo coming back to days??

Ali,

All I can say is WOW! You are without a doubt the best host The Biggest Loser has ever seen. As most people have said on this blog, you handled yourself very well after Jillian's outburst of curse words--someone can take up for someone else without being so obnoxiously dramatic about it. There's a right way and a wrong way to handle any type of situation, but that was WRONG! I will have to say, I couldn't believe the look you had on your face--I know you're a professional actress, but that was REAL. I guess that is what makes reality tv so special! Bottom line, I love your hosting of the show. You are half the reason I even watch it. Best of luck to you.

I love you so much. I have been watching days since i was 5 and i am 22 now. we grew up together. I was a big jillian fan too and have been since the show started. It is sad that i am now going to convert to the blue team. I will always stand by u and what u do. u r my idol. I am over weight and i was hopeing to be a contestant on the show and have chance to meet you.But if i had have been there i would have had your back.

your 4ever fan in all you do

ps you handled it well but you dont have to take it.
and did you see the look on bob's face?

lol release the real SAMMY BRADY

Wonderful job as the host, Ali. You are definitely the most genuine and down-to-earth host the show has ever had or possibly could have. You're a sweetheart, and that's why I lot of us like you. That's why I do!

For that reason, I will certainly give you benefit of the doubt when it comes to the tension before the weigh-in. Definitely, there was a lot of editing that occurred, and one would probably argue that you were edited in the best possible light, but I think most of us will (and have) stated that you handled yourself well.

Assuming that the final edit is the full story, I can understand and support both you (Ali) and Jillian; I admire Jillian's devotion to her team at the expense of tactfulness, and I admire your professionalism and genuineness.

My questions right now: any other thoughts or insight on the conflict? I went to your blog hoping to read more about it or what you may have said to Jillian and Brittany afterwards. To what extent did you actually misstep with your words, and bearing editing in mind, what is the full story?

Regardless of all that, I hope all of you keep up the good work.

Alison you carried yourself real well! Here is an idea! the girls are saying they have trouble losing weight.Have they had their thyroid checked? And Bob had said That once a week they have a high calorie day. Maybe the girls need to stay on track and not go for the high calorie day. Maybe that is the issue. Anyway good luck to all the team mates! Renee

Wow wow wow! I just love Jillian and Ali you did great handling her explosion. I really was hoping you were going to explain more about what happened. I hope next week will fill in some of the blanks for us.

The three posts were from me, my bad, my computer was being retarded. I'm hardly ever online. Anyways, here was more of what I had said: Jealousy gets you nowhere. Jillian is amazing, and no matter what you say, her actions prove it. She didn't put her team down. Her team is just so caught up in this negative thinking that no matter what Jill does, they feel like they can't "win". They ultimately have to do believe in themselves, get up and take their worries to the gym rather than eating so much! And I think that's why Jill said what she said. She said before that you don't need the "title" of the show or the money to make you a success. I'm proud of them for the weight they've lost thus far! It's a life changing experience. This should always be a part of their lives. More than 50% of the contestants have gained the weight back in past seasons. So, the money does not make a winner. I know that if these girls believe in themselves, and push beyond their limits, they will go far! I'm sure Jill feels the same way. Jillian can train them and train and train, but they have to put forth some more effort, rather than just worrying all the time. Take that into the gym! Also, you don't see everything in the amount of time given to air the show. I know some one said something to the effect that Jill only was training "the new girl" or whatever. That's because the producers edited things out. Do you really think Jill would totally ignore her team for one new comer? No! She is dedicated to her team. It's really sad knowing that as wonderful of a person she is, people still talk crap about her! She is wonderful! Amazing in every way! I am a very hard-core, most athletic, competitve, relentless, etc person, and I know people are jealous of me for it. But screw it, I don't care! I am me. I don't care how people view me. The same goes with Jill, she could care less about the haters. I love the girl! And she was prob just sick of some of Allison's remarks. (Allison, do the producers tell you what to ask and say?) Sometimes it seems as if she favors certain individuals. Jillian was prob fed up with it, so she spoke on it, whether it was directly to Allison, or to the producers. I applaud Jill. {insert applause} GO JILLIAN! I think Allison comes across one-sided. No affense, but it really does seem that way. But, I hope that's not the case. Sometimes Allison seems cool, but then other times I'm like, are you serious?! Ya know? And another thing to add...the show is only some of what goes on. Things are edited, cut, yadda yadda ya. I'm sure there is more to Jill's madness than Ali's questions, remarks, etc. And as far as Ali's blog at the end, maybe she just wanted to let everyone know that now Jill and her are cool. Maybe she just didn't want to get into details. I think it's great that Jillian speaks her mind. I just wouldn't have used that same language. But, like I always say, I really admire Jillian for everything she is. She puts her heart into helping others, and I hope people think the same of me. LOVE YOU JILL! (And thanks Ali for blogging. If you don't feel right making certain remarks or questions on the show, just don't say them, ya know? Be yourself. =)

Alison, you are without a doubt the best thing that has happened to Biggest Loser so far. You are professional and yet so very genuine. Sure, there is a lot of editing going on to play up (and down) certain events, but what always shines through is how much you care about all the people on the show. I love seeing your spontaneous grin when one of the contestants does exceptionally well. You are clearly "one of them" on many levels. I think that comfort level with you is part of what made it acceptable-in that moment-for high emotions to replace common sense in that painful scene with Jillian. 'Nuff said.
Ali, you keep doing what you're doing. You're awesome, inspiring, fun, beautiful, and a great role model for my preschoolers. BL is the only prime-time show they are allowed to watch (bleeped out words aside!)
Love ya!

I have to say i was mad at jillian of yelling at u.She had no right to start swearing at u.U handled it better then i could have.Dont listen to the person that insulted u,cause u r awesome,i watch bl because u r on there~Ur r a great actress i Love Sami!
Have a good day!

hey alison i i love you be on the show but what jillian did was worng i thinking she nee to tell you she sorry

I love Bob and Jillian both but its like they have shifted roles.I mean i like Jillian better when she's kicking people's butt not really digging the softer side. And as far as Bob goes he seems different to.

Okay- I want to be the first to wear a TEAM ALLISON shirt!!!

From one Allison to the next, I think you handled the confrontation great, but that 20 second incident doesn't define you, or Jillian or Brittney, or anyone. I love all the good that has been accomplished on the show with the team that they have- including Alison, Jillian, and Bob. I think that the confrontation did accomplish one thing: more and more people are talking about BL, blogging about it, and getting more involved in it, so good came out of it- whether you are looking at ratings for the show, the number of people who will be educated with nutrition facts, or the number of people that will be inspired to loose weight, good came out this too. "We know that in everything, God works for all our good."

wow jillian, a little mouthy in that episode. but you know what? you didnt do anything. all you did was ask a question, and duh that is your job! but how sweet was it when you got your revenge in the end?haha "just to make a note of it, the winner of this weigh in, WAS A WOMAN!" you go ali sweeney!!!!

PS: i was totally waiting for you to have a "SAMI BRADY" moment. I guess 15 years playing sami hasnt really rubbed off on you, glad to see that by the way lol.
love ya and everything you do!!!

You handled Jillian's comment very professional like. And one more note, You are HOTTT!!!!!

Ali,
I love the BL and I love Jillian and Bob. Jillian did go off the deep end a bit during the weigh in, but those girls have the WORST attitude and need to be called on it. She needs to step in and play the bitch for them to snap out of it. Their attitude will make them lose.
Those guys have matching tattoos and matching necklaces (talk about acting a little girly) and they have the attitude to win.
The girls will lose because of their current mentality.

Oh, and I write every week and ask for a little Days news. Still nothing. I, like others, hoped you would have a Sami Brady moment, but I really think that you forgot about that other job. Thought you would with your new gig.

Still love ya. I heart Ali.

Allison you are great on the biggest Loser. I really Like Jillian too. I love how she shows her emotions for the contestants. I have one question for you to ask Dan for me..... Will you MARRY ME???? He's a HOTTIE!!!!

Allison, did you agree with Bob's choice of an all boy's team? Since he can't seem to be able to beat Jillian with equally weighted teams, is his only option to cheat? Bob's choice this season has made it less interesting to watch. However, I do think they need more camera time. Bob and Jillian work these contestants so hard, and they barely get a word in the two hour time slot. Something needs to change here. After all, workout out for five to six hours a day, and all we see is a two minute clip of their Last Chance workout? I hope next season Jill and Bob return (no Kim, please) and are given some more air time.

Hi Ali. Just wanted to let you how well I thought you handled yourself during Jillian's meltdown. What was that!?? How unprofessional was she??? She's obviously a very sad and bitter creature.

Hey Ali,
My roommate and I love the show and we love both you and Jillan. I guess I don't really understand all of the negative comments here- I assume you were asking questions fed to you by producers and that's where Jillian's anger was really focused. You guys are awesome and I hope you're still hosting by the time that IIIIII am on BL! (Which will hopefully be soon, because I'm a complete fatty, lol)

Hey Ali!!! it's so much fun to watch you host The Biggest Loser!! Me and my mom have always watched Days of our Lives too..so it's funny at first we would always call you "sami" but not you've become Ali! you are such a nice, caring person! (unlike sami sometimes!!) I was proud of the way you handled Jillian's freak-out. You showed integrity and maturity throughout the whole thing. I can tell that you are a person with a lot of class!! (if it was me I probably would have done what sami would have!!) I miss seeing you on Days but LOVE LOVE LOVE watching you host the Biggest Loser!!! Keep up the good work! I'm rooting for you!

when will you be back on days...its not the same without you and ej

Are you leaving the show

Are you leaving the show

love you

anyone else notice that Jillian & Bob were NOT present at the weigh in last night??

Hey alison, l like the autograph , you are very pretty lady and awesome actress. Good luck and Than you. cr

First of all, Jillian was NOT talking to Alison Sweeney, she was talking to the producers. It was just edited to look like she was yelling at Alison for "better television", my source is at BuddyTV.com

I'm beyond upset that Bernie, Maggie and Brittany were eliminated, three weeks in a row.
Purple was my favorite team. And it's funny that Purple was the first team to have one player, (Maggie), when Jenn was eliminated in Week 5, then in Week 11, the Purple Team is the first team to be completely gone as individuals. I'm still rooting for the Jersey Girls.

Ali, you're absolutely a wonderful host. Biggest Loser has changed the world, helping not only America, but countries across the globe lose weight and become fit. It must be an honor to be the host of the most inspiring reality television show across the globe. I could care less if it's good television or not, whether there's any drama and such. It's just phenomenal to see these extremely overweight people become healthy. Biggest Loser is a life saver.

Can't wait for the finale, I'm sure you'll look stunning as always, Ali! Good Luck Mark, Kelly, Ali & Roger as the final four. Interesting how there's only going to be three finalists this season. Waiting for the day to come.

Ali, I was a great fan of yours all the way through. Was said when you had to leave, but what a great return you had. You are amazing. Also the night of the finale you had a black dress on with a pink necklace. I am wondering where you got the necklace from, as it would be the perfect breast cancer necklace for me to give to my best friend who has survived breast cancer. Again great job, and hope all is still going well for you.
