Pound for pound
Omg. Last night was such a good ep. We (Bob, Jill and I) hosted an event with Feeding America to honor the Pound for Pound challenge. Celebrate its accomplishments and encourage people to become aware of such an amazing organization. The pfpchallenge has generated over 3 million pounds of groceries for people at risk of hunger. And over 180,000 people pledged. Really amazing.
We screened the episode at the event, and it was so incredible to witness so many people standing around the screens, moved and inspired by what Tara, Helen, Ron and Mike accomplished. I received so many tweets last night about it too. Ron had a lot of you in tears... And certainly we all felt that way, walking that last mile with Ron. All the previous contestants participating - cheering on all four of them was so awesome. Seeing everyone walking in with Ron, shows just how special Biggest Loser is and what a family it is. Heba and Bernie and Jim...
Ali, Michelle... It's so overwhelming when you think about how many lives have been changed for the better... Forever. And listening to Ron last night really spoke to me, seeing Max again, seeing him struggle...
Jillian reaching out to Mikey, bob training Max...that final weigh-in, Tara and Helen's triumph, Mike and Ron speaking to America ... There were so many moments that were truly the best of what Biggest Loser is all about. I was so proud of that episode.
So... Who are you voting for? Are you SO excited for the finale next week? I am!! Can't wait to see everyone.

Def. voting for Mike to be the in the final three but as for "The Biggest Loser" I just can't choose between Tara and Mike. So love these two, they've really made the season for me.
Im voting for Mike.. I think what he has accomplished is astounding. He looks like a totally different person.
I really think they have all been amazing and have so much to be proud of.
I also think that if Mie had been able to run he had a very good chance of being first, even though Tara seems unstoppable.
I like them all, and they are all winners so its hard to say who I want to win the game.
But I want Mike in the finale.
I think that Helen is only thinking of herself. I lost respect for her when she sent her daughter home and not herself. If it was me I would have gone home and let my daughter stay in. I do not think she deserves to be in the final. I will be rooting for Mike.

I'm voting for Ron OVER & OVER simply because of the way he played the game. If he deserved to be there over Kristin and Filipe then he deserves to be there over Mike too. Simply - he argued all season that he should remain as the weaker competitor for the finals. Well, it's finale time. Let's keep big Ron.

Southwell, there is a place where you check the box just before 'submit' that asks if you are at least 13 years old. Just check that box with the other fields completed, and it should let you vote BTW, I voted for Mike. I'd like to see Tara take the whole deal, but Mike deserves to be there too, and let the best competitor win!

I tried to vote for Mike, but couldn't get the call to connect. This last episode was completely inspirational. Almost enough to make me sorry for everything I said about Ron this season.
I blog about the show every week and get between 200-300 readers who want to read what I've written. I'd LOVE to live blog/tweet the finale from a seat in the audience!

I will so totally, all the way, vote for Mike becuase he will not only be the youngest competitor to win on BL, but he has inspired one of my good firends to lose weight. She just turned 16 and she was overweight. Now, thanks to Mike's inspiration, she is 18 pounds away from being at a healthy wieght. I am sooooo excited for everyone left in the competition! Anyways, it is 9:22pm in Denver, Colorado (where I live), I'm tired, and my older brother got his wisdom teeth pulled out today (as if you probably actually care). Oh and I'm texting my best freind. So yeahs. My mom is going to be a litlte pissed if she finds out I'm still on the computer. So good night! Toodles! :D
well - I voted for Mike - but I'm older than Ron and he's been SUCH a wonderful inspirational force for me because he's no spring chicken either - although Tara's been virtually unstoppable - I want Mike to win - it's tough for a young boy to step up to the plate and become a man before our very eyes...it's definitely been a memorable season...
I'm definitely rooting for Mike. Mike in the finale is what Ron always claimed he wanted so it seems like a no brainer, even if I hadn't been rooting for Mike the whole time anyways. I did cry when Ron was finishing up his marathon though! I thought it was so awesome that he stuck it out.
I didn't get to watch it in real time, and by the time I had a chance to watch last night, voting was already over. I wish it had lasted more than 24 hours. I would have voted to keep Mike in, Ron just rubs me the wrong way, getting all mad at people for the way they voted then turned around and did the same thing to Kristin. It isn't a GAME, it is about changing your life. In the end hoping Tara wins, but a part of me wants to see Mike win as well. I can't wait to see how Max is doing!
I'm voting for Mike!! And I agree with Jean, I totally lost respect for Helen when she stayed and allowed her daughter to go home. Every time Helen has gone home and I see Shannon, I feel so bad for her that her mother was selfish and didn't give her daughter the opportunity to change her life at the ranch. I think she needed more help than Helen, and I for one would sacrifice ANYTHING for my children in order for them to live a long, healthy, happy life. I will be SO disappointed if Helen wins.
I lost respect for Ron when he lied and booted Kristen out who totally deserved to be there and have a chance to win. What example is he setting for his children and american...be a man and be honest. I also lost respect for Helen when she sent her daughter home, who doesn't put their children first??? especially when they are suffering. I like Mike and would like to see him win but Tara has proven herself as being the biggest loser the WHOLE game. It is a toss up for me either way I would be happy they are both already winners. I am anxious to see if america pulls the vote like they did with Heba and Ed since Ron disgusted everyone with his scheme.

I am totally obsessed with the Biggest Loser, I have been since the 2nd season. This would have to be one of the best though as there wasn't as much "game play". Yes, Ron had his moments as did some of the other players but in the end I truly believe EVERYONE cared about each other, which was not true in most years past. As for Ron lying and his idea of game play, people are saying how it was wrong but then they say that Helen was wrong for not thinking of her daughter first. It is one or the other, Ron was only thinking about Mike. I wish I could vote, but I live in Canada therefore I am excluded. I do wish both Mike and Tara could win. Therefore I would vote Ron into the finals so that Mike can win the second place price!

Tough call for me. One minute I find myself voting for Mike, he showed alot of strength and determination after he was moved to the other team. He still supported his father! I voted the maximum number of times for him. Then I think about the strength and endurance Tara showed during the challenges. Can't wait for the finale, GOOD LUCK TO BOTH!
I think biggest loser should have Max on next season. It was extremely heartbreaking seeing him each time he was on the show. I applaude both Bob and Jillian for including him on the last show when they went to see Ron and Mike. Max said he needed to hear things from the trainers because he found himself not listening to Ron and Mike. If he can't be part of next season, I hope he realizes that his family wants to see him succeed in his weight loss journey. He needs to realize that without doing the show, it is going to be a longer, harder journey for him. Hopefully he will allow Mike & Ron to help him succeed by bringing all they learned at the ranch to the table. Look at what your other family members have accomplished and know that what Mike looks like today is in your future. It will be alot of hard work, but it will be worth it! GOOD LUCK MAX!
I didn't get to vote, I am extremely disappointed that NBC chose to not allow votes after 24 hours when last season you could vote for a week. I know that's not your fault though Ali. If I could have voted, I'd have done what I did to Heba, voted for Ron like I did Ed. This show is an inspiration, however it would be nice if the producers would do some kind of background check to make sure they aren't getting people like Vicky and Heba and Ron on it. It makes me not want to watch.
On a Days note, are we going to get any Lumi scenes soon? I'd love to see Lucas and Sami interact more, and keep Sami away from her rapist.

I voted for Ron. He has overcome so many obstacles in this race. First he was hospitalized and then he nearly couldn't finish the marathon. When he came walking up using a cane after 12 hours that was inspirational. And his only thought was for his son. Younger people in their 20's and early 30's don't realize how much harder it was for a man in his 50's who had been overweight most of his life to do what he did. Metabolism slows as people get older. He had a much harder time losing weight than his son or Tara did. It's probably a moot point though because I'm sure Tara is going to win. I don't like her or Helen, but they seem to be on top.
I chose not to vote this time. I didn't really want either to win because I am routing for Tara all the way. Too bad Helen won!
Ali!!! I saw you last night on the finale and you looked FABULOUS!!!! Now what I HAVE to know is what brand/style of bra did you have on? To have had a baby and still look THAT good/supported in a bra is the best!!! I have to know what it is...can you share your secret? Thanks!
just disappointed in the finale.. While Helen did an excellent job on the show and at home… She stepped over her daughter to get that prize. It make me sad for Shannon. Helen gave her daughter the gift of obesity and whether anyone says it or not… I bet Shannon resents her mom for all of this! Just wish it went differently... As far as next season... (I also hope Max gets to be on TBL next season!!) It was tough to watch NBC choose to take an overweight person who has felt lots of rejection and then watch them be rejected on National Television by having people vote for Erin/Amanda.. Really?... Really not my favorite!

I'm so late on posting! I was so proud of Helen! She look Great! I also that Kristen look awsome that blonde hair rock on! I was a little confused about ya'll picking one of the girls for season 8 that night I guess I miss something? I posted several times that I have applied for season 7 and 8 and I was just wondering if they have chosen everyone for season 8 already? I'm so waiting for them to call me! I feel it in my heart that I belong there! I never in my life thought that I would even try to do anything like this. But I'm totally ready to change my life for myself and my family! My mom is 5' and weighs 250lbs My stepdad weighs around 350 and my brother in law 325 all three of them have sleep apnea (sorry if I spelled it wrong) My DR. wants me to be tested for it! I now have a heart mumor that I just found out that I have and so on and so . I'm just sick of being sick and tierd. And my husband and 4 year little girl suffer from my obessed and I'm done with that!!!!!

Hi Ali sorry for the late post. I'm a big fan of Biggest Loser and was wondering if Biggest Loser would ever have Canadians on the show. Im 34 years old, 182 lbs and 5'5 I guess I am concidered obess. I've been on Jenny Craig and it worked real well but It costs so much a week for food. I need help with my weight loss. My goal weight is 125lbs. I've come close to it when I was Jenny but then I gained it all back when I went off of Jenny. I work heavy construction and don't get much excercise. Thank you very much Ali for your time.
I watched some of the Biggest Loser and I was so happy for that kid who lost all that weight. I am 36 years old and have been overweight all my life. I am 6' tall and weight over 350 lbs. I wish I had trainers like them who could help me lose my weight. I do like watching you on Days.

I was very disappointed with the language and all the beep outs. It shifts the focus from what is happening to how many f---s and other four letter Bob and Jillian have used.
What the show does in wonderful and I'm a big fan but the language detracts from what is going on.
