It’s Green Week!!!

This was such a great idea. Ever since my character on Days had a “Green Wedding” I have been even more aware of all the little things we can do to help the environment. I now incorporate some of the things I learned during that storyline when I’m throwing parties or just in everyday life. So, I was really excited that Biggest Loser was doing something for the environment too! And happy to see how everyone embraced the theme this week. A little grumbling from Bill (justifiably afraid of going back into the desert with Jillian) aside, they all were enthusiastic about learning ways they can be more eco-friendly.


Now, at this point in the season, you may be asking me… do I have a favorite? The truth is, yes! I want them all to win! Seriously, they are all fantastic people, and I really admire the effort they are putting into this game/life-change. By nature, I am a root-for-the-under-dog type person. For example, I will root for the LA Clippers vs the LA Lakers every time. Every sport I watch in fact, I almost always find myself cheering for the losing team. Nothing is more exciting than a come-back! So in each situation here at the Biggest Loser Campus, each challenge, each weigh-in, I am cheering them all on! And nothing is more difficult for me in this job than looking someone in the eye and saying “you are not the Biggest Loser”. It seriously kills me.


We talk a lot afterwards about what their plans are when they get home. How they are going to stick to their diet/exercise plan going once they’re home. We do have a big advantage in Los Angeles, having health-food stores everywhere, as well as Jillian, Kim and Bob always ready to help motivate you. I travel frequently to different towns throughout the US, and sometimes it can be very difficult to find health-conscious food, especially in restaurants. But having the knowledge, is a big step in the right direction. Knowing what ‘healthy’ is, vs falling for the “low-fat” label on a package of cookies, can make all the difference.


I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again at the finale. I wonder how Phil is doing, Jerry, Patty, Jez… I think about all the contestants who have already gone home and I hope they are still working hard on their new lifestyles. I can’t wait to see them all!!

Ali,

I have your book and remember how you stated were a "chubby" teen and struggled with your own weight issues. I never actually thought you were chubby but when I look back at those episodes and you were next to skinny Lucas you may have appeared chubby.

What is your diet & workout routine now?
How has it changed since having Ben?
Do you workout with the contestants or trainers any?
Are you a good cook?

I actually love to work out but of course I tend to let life get in the way. My time belongs to my children not me. I thought when they got older (one now drives) that I would have some of my time back-lol.
I hate to cook and therefore do not do well in that area. I do like to bake though.

I enjoy your performances as Sammy on Days of Our Lives and have been a fan of the show since forever! I am now 40 and starting watching Days when I was in Jr. High. Your character is one of my all-time favorites in TV of any type of show! Ali,

You are the prettiest girl on the show and are a great actress! Keep up the good work and please don't even think of leaving the show, it would just not be the same without you! It is bad enough that John is gone! BTW, did you have a child in the real world? I wasn't sure. E.J. may be an annoying character, however, he is very sexy and charming when he wants to be and that is what makes you two a great couple for the show. Although, I must say that Lucas has been jerked around too much and you and he really do belong together! I think the new Phillip on the show is hot and sexy. I have been a loyal fan my entire life (48 yrs old)and now my husband is just as hooked on the show watching it with me nightly. That is the first show we watch every night when we come home from work. Talk about addicted!!!!Becky/Atlanta

I find my self rooting for the underdog a lot of the time too. Having said that, does this mean you are rooting for team EJami since us EJami fans are kind of the underdogs? (Sorry I couldn't resist asking). Love the terrific work you do. You are such an inspiration! Hugs and kisses to Ben.

I have been a Days fan for a long time and really loved watching your character grow. I have to tell you a really cute story - my son is also 2 1/2. We watched the mother's day special you did a while back on Soap Net and my son was facinated with seeing someone his size (Ben) on TV. He asked who it was and I said his name was Ben. So about a week later I was watching Days and when you came on my son shouts "Ben's mommy". It was too funny. It's amazing the things they remember. Now everytime he sees you that's what he says....even when I watch The Biggest Loser. Thought you'd appreciate that from one mom to another. Continue the great work.

Dear Ali, I have been watching dool since I was 17 ( I am now 60 last wk) I have seen actors and actresses
come and go and I must say " I WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED IF YOU LEAVE THE SHOW" I have seen you grow from a young girl to a cute teenager and now a beautiful woman. You have brought excitement to your story lines. I know that you are on like every other day and that is when I look forward to watching. Unfortunately the writers are boring. I want to see some laughter and LOVE again. DOOL will be going
to direct tv like passions if they don't get their act together. That really will be a shame after sooooo many years of entertainment and now-- these writers are screwing it up for all of you. I hope the new year will bring many dreams come true for you and God Bless You and your family
