black vs blue

Tonight’s temptation was crazy wasn’t it? I really didn’t expect all the drama that unfolded from it. And the tension between Heba and Amy really amped up. I often wonder – watching this stuff later on tv, how the contestants feel about it now, looking back on it. If they would have done things differently if they had a do-over.

And now, thanks to Heba’s swapping Phil and Amy, Jillian has a guy on her team.
Bob and Jillian have both done such an amazing job reaching their contestants this season. I love this season because we have gone deeper into the emotions that have led to their obesity more than ever before. Bob helping Amy get through her new team situation, and then Jillian’s heart to heart with Michelle, exactly what this show is all about. And it’s amazing how many people at home have already been affected by all these emotional stories. Fans come up to me all the time telling me how they relate to one of our contestants, and how their stories inspire and motivate them. One of the crew members on the Bonnie Hunt show brought in a photo of her ‘old self’ cause she knew I was going to be on the show, to tell me that she had lost 87 pounds, and how the show encouraged her and kept her focused on her goals every week. How amazing is that?
Can you believe how early that challenge started??? Holy early call time, Batman! We started that challenge at 6am, and they were at it ALL DAY. They weren’t exaggerating about the heat either. In that area of LA the thermometer can really climb up there!!! And they all did such an amazing job throughout that unbelievably tough challenge.
This was the episode when I announced my pregnancy at the weigh in. Everyone was so excited – and it was such a special moment for me to share with everyone.
As you can see black vs blue really changes up the dynamics between the players. So things are going to heat up even more now. And some incredible weight loss…

I loved seeing the friendships build within both of the groups, that seamed really special for them. Congrats on the pregnancy you look great!! :) Christine

Allison..not sure if you can answer this...but I was wondering how all the contestants can just leave their jobs and spend however long in L.A. doing the show. I so want to be on the show, but can't figure out how the family will continue without me at home making a living.

With all the challenges that they could have conceived of, why would they
have them do something that would be a negative thing for their bodies??
It was an interesting interaction between them. Maybe the writers knew that was coming. Night vision..... That was great. OK....it was just one time. Maybe it was a good challenge :-)

My whole family loves the show - the contestants amaze and inspire the audience each week. Very excited about your pregnancy - I'm sure you're even more excited! Keep up the great work. Thanks for keeping us informed. Charlane (Bluenoser).

that was the best temptation i've seen in a while. i was laughing half the time. it was so funny that only you and the probably the crew could see the whole scene. and that challenge...that would be tough. what time did u get up for that? between driving there and other things i was guessing like anywhere from 3:30-4:30. too early 4 for humans. lol. thanx 4 posting.

I loved last night's episode! That challenge was insane. I felt relieved when they got to take a break. I also loved last night's tips about eating out and about drinking milk. It's anyone's game now and I'm in awe of their hard work and their transformations! BTW, I'm so happy to see you back on DOOL more!

Oh!! That challenge was great. As a matter of fact both challenges last night and the one from the previous episode were great with some pretty hard to give up prizes. I wish I would have gotten to be there with them when they were walking/running up that hill. I would love to learn how to challenge myself more.

I thought the person with the highest amount of weight loss would be exempt from elimination. Didn't phil lose more weight than Michelle?

i love the biggest loser... and Days!!!

btw, i dont get this "adopted sister" crap, but ok?! we are all related somehow! :)

SG, 15, in Spartanburg, SC (right next to Greenville, SC- where amy and phil parum are from...actually they're from Greer)

First congratulations on your big news! I know my two girls (9 & 6) will be very excited for you as well.

Biggest Loser is the only show I watch on TV and we watch together. What I love about the show is the lessons about personal achievement. The show is about so much more than losing weight; it's about ACHIEVING BIG GOALS and personal development! It give me the opportunity to reinforce that that life is all about decisions we make everyday. Decisions lead to consequences or rewards.

That being said the one thing that consistently disappoints me is the language used on a "Family" show. Every scene seems to have a bleep or a word I'd rather not explain the meaning to my daughters. I am no prude, but it is supposed to be a family show isn't it?

If you decide to include people working to achieve other big life-changing goals. Add me to your list!

To your success!

I really wish The Biggest Loser would find a "fit" host. The last host Caroline...well, let's face....could use a gym membership. Does anyone want to go to a dentist with rotten teeth? NO! The new host allison could use some weight training. I just look at her and think...why is she host? She's kind of chubby and who is her stylist?? I just feel that a host of such an amazing show should be fit and in shape.

Can anyone. Explain. Why Alison Sweeney. Pauses every three. Words that she says.

why is Vicky so mean?

This is the worst season ever.

This is the worst season ever.

This is the worst season ever.

I am really disappointed about some of these comments directed toward Alison. First of all, she has taken the time to write this blog about her shows to give us a little insight to what's going on. We should all be appreciative of that. Second, Alison is the host because she has overcome weight issues in the past (on national TV no less) and knows a little about what these people are going through. And third, she is not "chubby," she is pregnant...which you would know from reading her blog posted above. Thanks, Ali for doing a great job. I think you look wonderful!
