Ali you did an amazing job during the scenes! I can't wait until Sami finds out the truth about her daughter and what Nicole did. I so hope you get to go back to awesome, cool, and bad a** Sami! And beat Nicole's behind for what she's done to you and these children! It's absolutely disgusting and dispecable what she has done! And I so hope that Sami let's her know it and show it by punching the crap out of Nicole! And continuing to beat her behind to death! This is horrible what she has done! And she will deserve the FULL FLEDGED RATH OF SAMANTHA GENE!

And speaking of other family members, Ali it is such an awful shame, such a SHAME that they don't talk about your twin brother ERIC BRADY (Jensen Ackles). They don't mention him, they don't talk about him, they don't have you talk about him or to him, he hasn't seen his nieces and nephews...and it wasn't even here for Sami during this time, as Eric would have wanted to be! Its horrible how they are treating Sami & Eric! They are twins, and he should be here or mentioned at least! Eric loves Sami so much! And Sami loves her twin brother Eric! It's a shame that he's not here! (I loved you & Jensen's twin sibling chemistry it was awesome!) I so miss twins Eric & Samantha! It's horrible that they don't let Sami & Eric even have a phone conversation to check up on each other and Sami's children, or just to say hello, at least! So sad and such a shame!

Ali when is Sami's twin brother going to come back? He should be here!!

You should be so proud of your work Alison! You are just amazing!! And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE EJAMI!! You & James are just so awesome and captivating together, I've never seen a soap couple or actors like the two of you in a very long time! I've loved you two since DAY ONE! Hope whatever happens in the future that the writers still keep SAFE a couple in love, and keep them so playful and fun and loving!!
I admire you also for having two children and two jobs and it seems like you're giving 100% everywhere. I like that. You're so passionate about everything. About life!! That's a great role model right there!!!

Ali, have a nice summer break, you truly deserve it, seems like you've been a superwoman this last months.
I must be one of the minority but I prefer watching Sami and Nicole together the most - as friends/enemies, frenemies maybe? - more than anything else. Cat fight When Sami and Nicole scheme together. What a unbreakable team. Nothing is as funny as that.
However, Rafe is the man I prefer with Sami. Sami looks so happy, she glows around him. Feel like watching I'm watching a genuine couple falling in love. I know all about shows past and history and it's nice to see Days caring about it at times, because sometimes it seems like they have totally forgotten all about most of the charaters' history. Which saddens me, because it should be about us loyal fans that have watched for years. I also hope Safe being the newest couple WONT eventually be in their disadvantage, because their fanbase is continuly growing and we are crazy about them. It's a relationship that simply works.
I love Lucas as Sami's friend, I have watched them from the start. But I prefer them as friends than lovers, they're more relaxed and fun when Lucas gives her relationship advice and so on.
And Ej works great as an enemy!!

Ali thank you for taking the time to blog and twitter. Many of us enjoy reading your commentary on taping the show, working with Galen and the fun you have with some of the other cast. I am a Sami fan and a Safe fan. I love how you have been playing a Sami who is consciously trying to make 'better' decisions because of the impact of Witness Protection and now because of Grace. You and Galen were very convincing as the desperately worried and then grieving parents. It was all played out so thoughtfully even all the non-verbal tiny actions were just so appropriate and added conviction to the scenes e.g putting your heads together etc I don't know why but we know that it does help when under pressure like that to make that head to head contact with the closest person to you...that's what I mean - you and Galen are so great in all scenes together because you always play the non verbal nuances too, holding each other’s clothing when you are in the scenes, it's adorable ;-), believe me none of that non-verbal stuff is is wasted or seen as just extra filler we Safe fans notice and appreciate all of that stuff too - so keep it coming and ensure the camera is on all of that hand holding and stroking you too seem to do be doing in most of your scenes. We love watching it. Lol!. Anyway I hope we are on track for some Safe fun scenes along with the inevitable angst and drama as Grace's death passes and Sami finding out about Sydney and all the drama that will bring for Safe - no doubt some more opportunity for you to play out some great scenes. I hope they keep Sami and Rafe together - so happy that she has someone to love who seems to really love her too. We know that is why Sami has done all the crazy stuff in the past - she just wants some to love her and only her and you've always demonstrated enough of that motivation in how you have played Sami in the past why we are rooting so hard for her to finally find happiness with Rafe now ;-) Hope you enjoy the rest of the break and thank you for bringing backs some good old fashion soapy love and romance to Days and our screens with your's and Galen's thoughtful portrayal of Sami and Rafe!

The baby Grace storyline was really hard to watch. So many of you did a great job and I'm sure it was hard especially for James who does not have children but that man had be sobbing so hard I couldn't see my tv lol. Ari the soon to mom did a great job too. I can't stand Nicole but Ari did a good job of making me tear up for her character too!

Though I was never a Lumi fan I love seeing Lucas and Sami as friends. It was nice to see him by her side. Hopefully one day many of us EJami fans will get that lovin' feeling back between EJ and Sami but this is classic soap 101 and this is what you get when you have two characters that are the next supercouple. I don't feel the same love for Rafe because Safe reminds me of EJole hehehe but GG is just a cutie. I loved he and Eric on Passions and I'm so happy they are on the show. I really hope many of the characters/actors get the opportunity to work with other character/actors. It makes the stories more diverse IMO.

I just hope Sami gets her grove on and turns a little grey or something. I don't want Ari to get hurt in a fight scene but man I sure would love to see a you know what whooping when Sami finds out what Nicole did to her baby.

BTW before I forget you look fantastic!!! All the hard work is paying off and you have a killer body to prove it. It keeps the rest of us that are trying to maintain or get to a certain level some encouragement. I love the fact that as a host with BL you are working out too. It just shows that everyone is involved and it's not all talk. You are busting your buns like the rest of the them and that's why to me the show is so encouraging.

The chemistry between you and Galen has been incredible since the beginning in the safehouse and going thru all the emotions surounding Grace's death and funeral. Just incredible performances from both of you made it so real. I look forward to the future for Sami and Rafe and for happy days ahead. You had trivia spot on todays show with how many times has Sami been married? Your answer was Sami has been married 4 times ... will Rafe be #5?? There are a lot of Safe fan who are hoping so!!

Thanks for the call out to Lumi fans. I've been watching for 20 years and though Rafe is a great character, I miss Sami and Lucas. I miss their fire and their determination to make others pay and to make each other happy. Wish we could see that explosive chemistry again. Summer is here, sparks would be nice!

I was never bored a second since the safe house scenes started and all up till now. And you should thing having only 2 actors in scenes together for months and months, not interacting with anyone but each other would get boring, but NOPE, loved every second of it.
I feel like Safe have every aspect of a great soap couple.

Thanks again for the Blog. I agree with your pre-empting comment. I went to watch my tivoed Days and missed the last 20 minutes because of golf. Thank goodness for youtube...ha! I also agree that everyone knocked their scenes out of the park during the Baby Grace funeral. Safe scenes were good it was nice to see someone stand by Sami...although I feel it should have been Lucas. Poor Lucas, when will he find true love...someone that truly loves him? Is it bad that I am enjoying Kate torture Chloe? ma wah ha ha!
Ari was good too, I wanted to hug Nicole and rip her hair out at the same time...now that's talent. :o) But my favorite scenes were EJami. I don't know if you realize the magic you and James have together, but I can't take my eyes off the two of you. The last month of Days has gotten good. It's nice to feel like the writers have a long term plan or for that matter, a direction. The storylines were jumping around so much, I almost tuned out.
Anyway, thanks again for taking the time out of your busy schedule to blog. I'm looking forward to the new season of BL and can't wait to see what happens next on Days!

I had to laugh when I read your comment about setting your VCR and it maybe not working. I have to make sure it always records correctly for me or I just about cry! LOL I made my hubby get me a DVR through our cable company so no matter what it knew when to record even if the times were different. Thank heavens for modern technology!

Please talk to your writers the Rafe and Sami hook up is totally boring Rafe has as much personality as a earth worm. They are boring together. and why are they making Sami put up with him being such a bully. First to her son Will and now to her. I would like to say i enjoy watching but honestly it is painful to watch anymore no one is happy everyone is mad breaking up or fighting except Mel and she is becoming a favorite to a lot of fans. I watch this as an escape and now i feel i need an escape from it. I couldn't even watch the love scene with Rafe and Sami today. He treated her like crap then they have sex made Sami look needy and trashy. Who would do that? A man refuses to tell you about a woman in his past berates you for asking about her then she falls into bed with him? Just because he says that's what couples do is fight. Day's writers are lacking in all area's I could write a better soap than this junk that they are writing now. I have watched since it first started when Tom Jr. was there Please some one do something Ej and Sami could bring this soap out of its slump. But i heard your hubby feels uncomfortable that you and James have such good on screen chemistry and he and Galen are friends, I would think he would feel more strange watching his wife kiss and be fondled by a friend. but that's just me. Normally I love your acting and Sami but with Rafe you lack personality with him like you better with James. Well we at least got some SAFE again. I think Rafe is the greatest and the best one for Sami. He is not a rapist mobster and he is not a moma's boy, he is a real man. SAFE is great. Most interesting story for a long time. I personally hope they never make Sami go back with EJ. Says something for how good James is at his job, he really makes a lot of people hate EJ. Sami deserves better than EJ. I think Alice would approve of Rafe.

I love Sami and Rafe together. The baby Grace story line was so hard to watch. Everyone did a wonderful job. I actually felt sorry for Nicole...and that doesn't happen often. (twice) My daughter called and asked if I was still crying... and I was. You are absolutely right that Days is addictive. I have watch forever!!! I really hope that either EJ and Sami are over forever. I hope that Will forgives quickly.

Thanks for blogging, Ali! You are such an inspiration - I do not know how you do it all! You look *fabulous*, btw - what 'baby weight' you are talking about I have no clue, as you look great! I have always thought it was wonderful how you modeled *healthy* weight goals for your many young fans since you were a teen yourself, and now with BL you are reaching an even wider audience. Reading your twitters about working out is very motivating to me to get my ass to the gym! LOL

Meanwhile you did a wonderful incredible amazing job with the Grace S/L - it was so totally powerful and moving, it blew me away. And seeing you and James - especially that scene at the funeral home OMG - the passion and chemistry between those two characters is so intense, even when they are fighting, it's riveting!

Galen did an adequate job but honestly I thought he was not in the same league as you and James and Ari (who has also been rocking her scenes, btw). Looks like they are moving on from Safe pretty soon, and I'm glad to see it, because I find it hard to stay interested in that pair. I'm sure Galen is a lovely fellow, but I'm not seeing the chemistry. When Rafe has to share a scene with EJ and Sami, he just disappears into the woodwork. I'm excited to see all the foreshadowing of the baby-switch reveal and an EJami reconciliation - that will definitely make this fall Must See DOOL! :-D

And I will give a shout-out to SOLE, absolutely - ROFL!!! I *love* scenes with you and Ari - you guys always always entertain! Glad to hear you guys have as much fun doing it as we have watching!

You're an inspiration to watch. Both in Biggest Loser and Days of our Lives. And I enjoy both of the shows. Real life and soap world...enjoy both. But I must admit I'm totally obsessed with Days lately. Watched it for many years and since Sami is such a central character, her havng a good storyline is really good to see.
Have to Say I love Sami and Rafe.
I think they is the best thing that has ever happened to Days of our Lives. And you and Galen Gering know how to deliver! The last scenes of Sami and Rafe with the fight and the love... It was amazing. I loved seeing Sami standing up for herself and growing up a little. It's good to see some character development.
I think it's great acting when words are not necessary to explain emotions in a scene and that's what I saw in that scene between Sami and Rafe last episode. It was such a intensity, so many emotions delivered.
Very proud of you, I must say.
I love seeing you with other actors on the show as well. I really miss Sami and Belles sister relationship. You and Ari together is always fun to watch for sure.

Your performance through the Grace s/l the past few weeks was incredible. With all due respect,you were the one who was incredible during the hospital scenes.

James Scott and your performances during the reveal and funeral were outstanding. Angry or happy, the chemistry between Ej and Sami is like no other two characters on the show!!

I am ANXIOUSLY waiting for the explosion from the ticking baby switch bomb. I am expecting there will be a big payoff for EJ fans for having to have endured EJ being so "trusting" of Nicole all of these months, for Sami fans who are angry Nicole has been raising Sami's daughter and a HUGE payoff for EJ and Sami fans who are heartbroken that Nicole let them needlessly suffer.

I have been watching Days of our Lives since college. I am actually 50 years old now, and so that's a long time. I have loved Sami's character from the beginning, and your work in the Grace scenes was awesome; in fact everyone did a great job. The storyline made my cry and the Ari is terrific as Nicole and I'm happy she is finally standing up to EJ. I wonder if EJ will try and keep Sydney from Sami if he finds out before she does. I have been an Ejami fan for awhile now, although right now I am not so sure, since he's (EJ) is being such a - well, do I have to say it? And SAFE seems a little too safe, although Galen did do a super job. I guess we'll have to wait and see, won't we? Sami seemed so happy with Lucas, especially since they seemed to have finally found each other after everything they had been through. Ah, but that is the soap opera world. Everyone wants a character to be happy, but conflict is the name of the game. You are my favorite actress and I do not usually get starstruck. I admire your energy and passion for life. After reading and laughing at your twitters, I can see you are a beautiful person, inside and out. Loved your appearances on Ellen, by the way - entertaining and fun.

Dear Ali, you did so amazing with this sad storyline with poor Baby Grace dying, you had my crying all the time along with you, it must have been very hard for you to shoot those scenes, kudos to all of the actors on day, you all did amazing and it's so much fun to watch days, have been watching it since 1988, and now my 12 year old daughter loves to watch it along with me and we love the Biggest Loser as well!

Everyone did such a good job on the Grace story line but seriously you and Galen did truly stand out jobs all the way through the story line.

Really enjoying you and Galen together on the screen. They are having just enough fight with just enough nice between your two characters.

I loved everyones scenes on the s/l of baby Grace dying. It was so sad and heartwrenching. Kudos to the cast who all put their heart and souls to the scenes. I hope there will be an Ejami reunion soon. I hate to say this, but although Rafe is hot, he is boring with Sami. Ejami sizzle together and Safe fizzles. If you check out most of the Days sites, you will find there is not really not much of a fan base behind Sami and Rafe. Anyway...good luck with the BL and keep up the good work on Days! We love you.

Love the couple of SAFE!! You and Galen have such great chemistry together. It is refreshing to see a couple that is in love with no hidden agendas-- fun-loving, romantic, and playful , but with real problems to solve. GO SAFE!!

I love the chemistry between EJ and Sami. The two of them in a scene is never boring whether they are loving or hating each other. I like them together because they are unpredictable, full of passion and zeal. They love hard and hate hard. One moment it looks like EJ is on top and winning, next minute Sami is on top and winning. It's all there the manipulation, the lies, the deceit, the romance, the attraction, the sexual tension, love, war, etc etc etc.

I think Rafe's character needs some spicing up. Let's make him more interesting and turn his life up side down. I reckon they should bring Emily back from the dead. Make it she never really died. Oh Emily, the love of Rafe's life!
By doing this it would kill two birds with one stone. While I like Rafe's character I do not like him with our fiery Sami. Where's our dear girl gone?
One comment I read recently about safe stated they were the "All American Couple." My response to that is if that is your idea of an all american couple I feel sorry for you and I'm glad I don't live there. They are boring together. I like couples with a bit more spunk.

Funny Rafe fans always bring up the rape yet Sami forgave EJ and even slept with him again how do you think Sydney got here. EJ loves Sami for who she is not like Rafe who wants to change her into what he wants. How do you know Rafe is not a rapist murder mama's boy liar cheater We know nothing about him except he use to work for the FBI. So why are people throwing stone when Rafe is a bully hiding his past from the woman he suppose to love.

How can anyone say Sami looks happy she is always worried she has ticked Rafe off how can she be happy when he is hiding his past from her what does she really know about him and why in the world would she move a man into her home with her children she knows nothing about? I think the writers got in to big of a hurry to shove him in the viewers faces and most don't like him or the way he treats her. The problem with Rafe fans are they want him with Sami because they know he will be around they don't care about the relationship they like Galen he is their eye candy. he can't act he is boring to watch and listen to but they have the hots for him personally James is a whole lot hotter and clean looking but that's my taste. EJ is Champaine and Rafe is Beer and nuts in the trailer park not my type at all

And just who is running the poll that says Safe is the hottest couple Dog patch USA no way are they the hottest couple watching him act is like watching paint dry and his monotone voice makes my ears bleed and that stupid half smile he has makes him look like he is always about ready to bust out laughing not to mention his eyes oh my the man needs to get some sleep he always looks like he is ready to fall asleep.

Sorry but Rafe and Sami as a couple are just plain boring. I see the writers are trying to make them more interesting but it just not there, it ain't cutting it, it's not working! It's obvious to us viewers you and Galen are good mates. It comes across on screen so I think they should keep you as just that mates. You only have to go back and watch previous episodes to see where the chemistry is.... which couple has the passion and drama of the classic Days supercouple, yes of course it is EJ and Sami. The sexually attraction, the deniles, the flirtation, the dreaming, the stares, the misunderstandings, the passion, the romance, the dancing, the children, etc etc.... yes Ejami has it all!
While I am for EJ and Sami I would even prefer Sami to be with Lucas than Rafe that's how dull I find them together.
So I think they should get rid of Safe and bring back from the dead Rafe's supposedly dead fiancee Emily.

I have been trying to figure out why Ejami just STOPPED! For well over a year we watched their story and saw their love grow inspite of all the trials and tribulations that were in their way. Finally when they give in to it and it looks like it is going to progress whamo just stopped dead in it's tracks and I've been trying to figure out why. Some said it was the new head writer who decided to change the storyline that she was bored of the Sami, EJ and Lucas triangle but I'm wondering about a comment posted above. Someone above said they heard that your husband was uncomfortable with the chemistry you and James had together. Is this true? Is this why their storyline was axed? I hope not.
I believe both you and James are professional actors and can distinguish the line between acting/drama/fantasy and real life.

Thanks for the blog :) I love Sami's character on days you and molly (melanie) you guys are completely amazing. Im totally wrapped around the baby story line going on. I want Sami to have her baby back but I know its not happening anytime soon. I'm hoping maybe by Christmas :) any longer and ill explode. Hopefully Sami doesn't find out in like 6 years. I really want Sami and EJ to be together there chemistry is amazing. I don't like her with Raif. He is a total jerk and makes Sami look so needy. And its nice to see her as just friends with Lucas. I really thought after the whole Collen story they would be together again. They just belong together hopefully when he finds out Sydney is him and Sami's baby they get back together. Days of Our lives really needs a couple other than Bo and Hope cause there storylines are always stupid and its always the same thing hope is mad at bo about something and leaves him. And there is Marlena and John. Marlena or john gets hurt and the other one trys to save them. Where is the chemistry and romance with a married couple? Oh and I love that they finally have teenagers with a story line on the show. I'm a teenager and its always fun to see a story line with kids my age :) I agree with what you said about acting with more than just three people seeing Sami talk with Stephanie is refreshing you are family it doesn't make since for you not to talk lol. Im a big fan Iv been watching the show since I was 12 and I'm 17 so that's a long time to me. keep up the great work :)
