Mother's Day

It’s almost Mother’s Day and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s the one day of the year I can count on Jake to be a good son, even if he’s just making up for all the times he took my minivan out joy riding. Last year, he spray-painted “I ♥ Mom” on our living room wall, which made my heart melt. Then about a month ago, he got mad at me for borrowing his lighter without asking and added “Don’t” between the “I” and the “♥.” I think he feels really bad about that now, so I’m expecting this Sunday to be the best yet.


If I know Jake, he’ll probably make me breakfast in bed: a fried bologna sandwich with extra mayo. And when I was searching his room for some cash that was taken from my purse, I accidentally stumbled upon the present he got me—a carton of Newports. Do you know how hard it is for a teenager to get a carton of cigarettes? Just goes to show he really does love me. Then I thought we’d spend a little Q.T. together out in nature. Maybe shoot some cans in our backyard or if we’re lucky, Jake will take out some of those birds that always wake me up in the morning—we’ll say what the day brings. It’s just nice to be appreciated once in a while for kicking ass as a single mom.

THIS IS HYSTERICAL!! Wow, I actually cracked up. I admire the writers of "The Offcice" for their ability to connect to the characters. Besides "Kath and Kim" this is the only show I watch so went I went on the site to see if their was a new episode, I was surprised to find these special features!

My mom celebrates Mother's Day by posting Planned Parenthood info on the frig. When she sober's up she reminds me how much I truely mean to her ( I think she's being sarcastic when she says she wish I was never born lol). She said if she knew who my Daddy was, she'd kick him in the you know what. Ahhhh what memories I cherish. Nothing finer then life in Arizona.
