I would say if you live anywhere near Chicago or NYC or LA to take improv classes...there are classes all over the country now! Minnesota, Austin, TX. I studied improv at Second City in Chicago and also Improv Olympic in Chicago and LA...also Amy Poehler and other friends were in the Upright Citizen's Brigade. For writing, I studied in college...but if you want to be a writer, just write all the time. if you have to take a class where you have to turn stuff in, it'll make you do it...so just do it. I was also a big fan of Chris Rock and comedy wise he strikes me as someone whose comedy comes from trying to get to the truth in things...finding ways of saying things that people aren't saying yet. The truth is funny and there's truth in comedy!
Hey Tina--
We'd love to get you down here to Austin to see what we've been up to.
i have taken the advise(check the name) and have already signed up for classes at second city. maybe i WILL be the next writer. . .
New Southwest Salad looks good...
furthermore, i loved chris rock's i think i love my wife...unlike most others. i think it was a little too truthful for most to appreciate the more latent comedic aspects.
Where have all the needy people gone, long time passing,

I could never do what you can do with grim social issues. You make them funny. I make people feel uncomfortable.
Hi Tina,
I live in CT, so am fairly close to the city. Where at in NYC woudld you recommend improve classes to develop my comedy skills? I have always been quick witted and have a tendancy for shock value, abvious humor.
You could say I fell back on flying as a career but the money is steady and decent for 30 year old single guy wanting more out of life.
By the way I love the show and Alec is a great part of the cast. I flew his sister in law last summer
I would love to develop it and turn it into a career. You could say I fell back on flying. But I have to say the pay is good and steady.
I love the show by the way. The chemistry that you and Alec have on the show is priceless. I can imagine that he is as likeable in real life as he is on the show.
I flew his sister in law last summer from Boston to West Hampton. She did not have that likeability. Don't tell him that though. =)
Looks like I'm the only one that drinks during the show.
Check the listing in the local paper.
Tina-Did you put two Star Wars2 references in or purpose or is there a formula you use?
I took 2nd City writing classes a few years ago at the now-defunct Cleveland training center (yes, same Cleveland from the show). Very enjoyable experience. To do it full-time, though, takes much talent, dedication and resources. Good luck to anyone who tries.
Do you recommend any good books/resources for how to write comedy screenplays, and how to get them read by the important people who could get interest generated?
I live in Ohio...would it still be possible for me to be a writer/performer
Rinse - repeat
I love the way you deal with issues of race and sexism on your show through comedy--it does, like you say here, find truth in comedy, and I love how you say what people aren't saying. Your writing and sense of humor is brilliant, and I can't wait until next season!

What kind of credentials do you need to write for a network tv show?
Thank you for the good advice!
Tina, what joke or gag are you most proud of this season?
Screw them, let them go to the learning annex. The twins sure look good. they should get title credits>
Hey Tina! I'm a big fan of the show, and you've done an awesome job this season! But I have a question that doesn't necessarily relate to the show; this one's for you. Did you know that you have your own "Random Facts" page?
Here's the link: http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Tina_Fey/Facts
They're kinda like Chuck Norris facts, only a thousand times better. I hope you and everyone else here gets to see them. I think you'll get a kick out of 'em! And if you have the time, maybe you could even add one of your own! Thanks, and good luck with season 2!
