After tonight's east coast premiere, sign on here for the live blog Q&A.
Nice site you have!
Interesting comments.. :D
Very, very good. The show has a wonderful vibe and pacing. Looking forward to the next episode.
Both my wife and I were offended and disappointed to see Tina's character drive drunk on last night's episode after her adventure at the strip bar, as I'm sure many viewers who have lost loved one to drunk drivers.
HA! Nice pun on the president of the Philippines. x] I thought it made me crack up so much, i had to rewind w/ the TiVo and see it again! Great show, Tina! Can't wait for the rest of the season!
I forgot thank you Tina and cast u all were great
Lucille Ball,Imogene Coco Carol Burnett, Tina FEy
I know u r married but if you weren't would you marry me u are amazing what a talent
Sorry, but I think it was a bomb. Baldwin added nothing to the show. The strip club scene was just too contrived. Where was the plot and what was the point? Unless the show improves 500%, and Baldwin stops doing a poor imitation of "The Office" boss, I think the show will tank.
Loved the show! Great writing and the characters
are dead on.Congratulations. I look forward to seeing next week's episode.
Thanks for the laughs.... God knows we need them now more than ever.

A 30 minute long GE commercial? Oh! That's right, CBS is showing Jericho and Dancing with the Stars is on 7.
a strip club scene on at 8pm?
come on, i thought you were more talented than that. would you want your child to tune in to that? funny? yes. prime time? no.
Great show BUT, after the 3rd oven commercial we turned it off for good.
bye!!!!
Hi, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing future shows. I wish you good luck and lots of great reviews! :o)
I want to be like you when I grow up. I'm not even kidding, you're my idol.
Great Show
Hey Tina, congrats to you and the others - I thought the show was great. would write some more but I got to watch the biggest loser dancer millionaire------ maybe your show will help me figure these things out. good luck to all of you - see you next WED at 7 - d
Tina - I think you are brilliant both as a writer & comedienne. 30 Rock was great except for the parts with Tracy Morgan. I just don't think he is funny. Keep up your good work - I'll definitely be watching
TOPS ALL. wut more can we say. strip club scene, beautiful woman dancing drunk, and best of all TINA FEY. cannot wait to see more.
Hey Kay...LOVED IT!! Shopped with mom today and told everyone we met to watch!!
i loved the show u had the runaway bride down pat this morning im from atlata ive seen enough of her
Hey Tina and Kay..LOVED IT!! Kay, I was shopping with you mom today and told everyone me met about you and to watch!
Hello Tina, GREAT SHOW! I was in the girly show with all the cats, and I am so glad to see funny TV back on the air. I hope to work on your show again soon.
I really loved the show and the character played by Alec Baldwin is great. Keep up the good work and I'll stay tuned in. My wife thought the show wasn't as funny as she had expected but she loves reruns of "Threes Company" so what does she know. Not that you care about the opinion of a middle aged teacher but, Tina, you are cute!
Teenie -
If I had a myspace account, I'd totally add you to my "Heroes" category.
WoW!!! The show is great---I actually laughed out loud!! Finally, a regular show in which we can see the comic/genious/insanity of Alec Baldwin! There are no words to describe Tracey Morgan singing Pat Benatar....too funny!!! I was sad at the departure of Tina Fey from SNL, but now that I've seen 30 Rock, I realized it was a good thing and hopefully there will be more cameos from the SNL cast both past and present!! I'M HOOKED!
Tina would you consider having FAT ElVIS on your show? This is a serious question not a put on.

what are the advantages of doing this show over doing SNL?
what are the advantages of doing this show over doing SNL?
YA!! I knew Conan would be around...comparitively humorous to yourself...and as far as Rachel, she's great being free from a steady character. She has range and I find all her oddball characters hilarious, you should have debbie downer do a cameo and not draw attention to it so its an inside joke..
whats your movie in the works about?
Will SNL cast members be doing camio's
yeah liked the roles, would've liked to see more of rachel's character- looked like she was sporting a "she-mullet".;)
You should have Jimmy Fallon play some really nervous assistant or shy awkward secretary, delivery man, etc.
Oooh! Or like the On-set therapist.
I love my ideas. I'm awesome.
Promise me a DVD set no matter what...it is the only way i am still dealing with the loss of the show "Joey" on NBC...I really did like that show.
Probably won't see more of Tina on stage with a dancing pole, but it was nice to see tonight - LOL - nice job, enjoyed the show very much.
kinda reminded me of arrested developmnet but much funnier....A little off-the-wall though......keep up the good work tina and I'll call you later! night babe!
How about Adam Sandler doing a cameo as Canteen Boy?
kinda reminded me of arrested developmnet but much funnier....A little off-the-wall though......keep up the good work tina and I'll call you later! night babe!
Thanks for taking the time to do this blog, Tina. You are awesome!
Tina you're so smart if I get on Who Wants to be a Millionaire will you be a phone a friend, I know you already met Meredith how did you like her?
good work.
I'm loving you right now.

Dear Ms. Fey:
Excellent writing; great cast; congrats on the little one.
Tracy is hilarious.
I belive Mr. Baldwin's gift with comedy exceeds his gift for drama.
Rachel Dratch is "Rachelious."
As I am a reovering alcoholic and abuser of prescription drugs (not a joke), a personal note from you would help save a life. Again, no joke. I've been looking forward to this premiere for a long time.
Also, I loved your father's joke about the gay cowboys on SNL.
And, I'd be curious to know what you are now reading or what you feel has been influential in your life as a writer.
I'd also like to pay you a compliment as a man, without direspecting your marriage or your father.
I suppose the best I can do is say, "You are a definite, literate cutie."
You rock!
Now, I need to sober up and eat some food.
My GD video recorder is "on the Fritz."
If your show gets cancelled, I will take grave exception.
I don't see that happening, though.
Best Wishes,
Karl Stengel

I see a lot of potential in this show. I have to say, Tina, you are one of the few female entertainers that can make me laugh out loud. Keep the show fast-paced and full of new ideas, and I know it will go far.
P.S. I was wondering (probably in vain) if you would be interested in some comedy ideas. I'm a college student, and I've always thought some of my ideas were pretty funny. Since you're a comedy writer, I figured I'd make my case to you. It's dumb, but if you're interested, just send me an e-mail. Thanks.
good work.
I'm loving you right now.

i want to audition for your show !!! where can i send my resume tina?
Witty and genuinely funny. Thank god there is a new GOOD comedy show on the air this season. Can't wait for more.
love the show nbc has a new hit
I'm sad you don't wear your glasses on the show. :)
Tina,
off subject: I loved that improv show you did with Upright Citizens Brigade on Bravo. I think it was only 1 episode. What was it called? It was great. Any chance of more?
I think 30 Rock has great potential. Wasn't hilarious tonight, but I can't wait to see how it develops. What a great cast! Thanks
Tina,
I always thought that you were the best looking girl on SNL so it's nice to see more of you.
You are very talented and the show has potential.
Cheers
i'm amazed you can be so talented and confident, and yet so self-effacing at the same time - it really makes your live appearnces (like leno) and your work extra appealing, and real! I'm a big fan (only have one bit from your 2nd city days, though, wicked"... would love to have more! anyway, the show tonight was great, well worth the wait, can't wait to see every episode!
I think this is a great idea getting to talk with you.
Is this a one off, or with this Q & A happen again throughout the year?
The show was great...I have kept up with everything you have done and you are amazing...I would love to meet you someday.
SO ANY MOVIES COMING OUT SOON? A half hour is just not enough?
127? No! You look like 126!
How thick of skin do you need for your line of work? Doesn't it piss you off when "critics" don't get it or take things too seriously?
LOVE THE SHOW! FAT ELVIS IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SHOW AND WILL UH HUH FOR FOOD! CALL ME I WANT TO BE YOUR HUNKA HUNK OF BURNING LOVE
Hi Tina: Congrats on the new show! Does the ability to do multiple takes of a scene make it more enjoyable than live tv, or is the rush/risk of "live" still more satisfying? I'll still watch regardless! You're my favorite laughologist. -Bobo
FAVORITE MUSIC ON THE SET?
Garbage, not one laugh in the whole show except the shots of Tina's huge ass.
Get some funny writers or get cancelled.
Hey Tina,
How would you feel about gettin Mel Gibson to do a cameo as a big time jewish
network exec? I have a feelin he might need the work not to mention to be taken in a different light....
Great show!!!!! I think this is what NBC needed, I think would like to see you guys on thursday night...was a huge friends fan and always thought the thursday nights were for comedy.....lol. One qustion do you think the Mets will win the World Series? lol.... Is the show taped before a studio audience, if so, can fans get tickets?
Good luck can't wait til next weeks show...hey how about a sneak peek?
I missed the show my son was an extra, he's nine he is the one that Traci met that makes beats. I know the show will do great.Best of Luck. If you need my son again let us know.
True entertainment! What a cast. Thanks so much for the escape from reality-- I really needed a good laugh and have enjoyed your work for years. Alec and Tracy are hot and funny.
This show stinks! I have had root canals that were less painful than watching this show.
Was there anything about the characters or setting or tone of the show that you did to intentionally differentiate from "Studio 60"?
Tina.
Are you single??? How about a date?
Great show!!!!! I think this is what NBC needed, I think I think i would like to see you guys on thursday night...was a huge friends fan and always thought the thursday nights were for comedy.....lol. Loved the show. Just moved here from Dallas. Know any good Chinese restaurants?
Stamatinatastic! That rocked. Can I come on the show as the page's gay lover from Alabama? Love you. Josh
My Wednesday night eight o'clock time slot is officially yours! I finally get to see the goddess behind the news desk. Was the change from SNL to this show easier because of the old cast members?
tina,
you alec and tracy are great. I really hope the ratings support you. keep it up!!!
Loved the show. Just moved here from Dallas. Know any good Chinese restaurants?
TO MUCH SEINFEILD AND FRIENDS, PEOPLE TIRED OF THAT WANT SOMETHING NEW
Tina: Which has been the longer days for work your new show or SNL?
love the show, not happy about rachael drech being pulled at all, not sure i will enjoy as much without her on. wish you wouyld have kept it the way it is!
Tina, Have you and your crew filmed this half of the season so far? If not will you be having some of the Crew for SNL on if you have not already done so? K.St. L, New York
whats up with those oven do you have one can you really cook a turkey in 22 minutes
What made you decide to go with this theme for a sitcom -instead of say, Mean Girls/ TV?
Will Horatio Sanz come on sometime?
Hi Tina!
Are you planning for Lindsay Lohan to have a guest spot on your show? It'd be great.
I like the idea odf a childrens book. Lane Smith is a good friend of mine. Let me know if you'd like an introduction.
great show...snappy, great pace! Just logged in, so haven't gone through 500+ posts yet, sorry... By the way, i'm sure there's a story about filming in a strip club (if it was real) -- care to tell?
ALEC BALDWIN GREAT, SHOW WILL NOT MAKE IT, PROABLY GET CANCELLED
Error in identification of sTina
30 Rock looks good!
You were seriously the best “Weekend Update” anchor on SNL since Jane Curtain. Great sense of humor and great delivery.
Did you and Maya get the copies of “The Official Newborn Owner’s Manual” (written like a car manual) that were sent to you when you were pregnant?
All the best to you.
ender in earlier posting.
The following sent by askinginfo@aol.com:
Alex always does a good job on SNL
Will You Have the cast of SNL on or Probably Connan'O brien
In reference to the jimmy fallon question, I think he would be great as a psycho x boyfriend of one of the female characters and who collects spice girls and britney spears dolls.
do you ever worry about offending someone or a racial class?
I really got a kick out of the whole bit about Alec being a person from another division of GE that is totally unrelated to come and take over managing the show. Totally the way GE does it. Sharing best practices... Really interesting to have him talk about that Microwave and then have the commercial... That was pretty interesting...
Loved you on SNL. Hated the show. (The dumbing of America, once again). Tina, we expect more from you. Either educate or entertain us.
So if the show takes off are you willing to host Saturday Night Live?
Awesome show, Tina! Keep up the fantastic writing!
You know, I'm an actor in Pittsburgh, trying to make my way to the city, and its so true what they say about being yourself and using what uve got. Its apparent thats what you're doing and its working. Thanks! :)
Hello Tina, Really enjoyed your show. Congrats and good luck
I find wikipedia.org and youtube.com to be great inspirations for ideas, I hope you do too, Ms. Tina Fey!!! :D
Keep up the good work and don't let nothing keep you down!!! :D
Mark McLaughlin - Hudson, MA
Tina, I know I have already posted... but I am getting back to you on the Jimmy Fallon question... and, have another question.
First, I would love to see Rachel Dratch play a bigger role in this show... she was hilarious in SNL and really adds a presence and sense of energy to any role she plays.
In regards to Jimmy Fallon, seeing Jimmy in a gay assistant role would be hilarious... maybe a mix between Karen and Jack from Will and Grace, but with his presence and energy... he could make it better. Or, maybe a love interest? Some punk kid who landed you somehow, and you play his sugar mom. And, maybe Chris Kattan can play the gay assistant... hmm?
Any thoughts?
COME DO A LIVE SET IN CHI-TOWN! COME BACK TO SECOND CITY, OR JUST COME TO ZANIES!
Tina,
Congratulations on your new show! What a cast...
Will miss you on SNL, but look forward to tuning into 30-rock weekly
Three things:
30 Rock is funny in a kinda fun way
Getting Jimmy Fallen on would be slumming
Mary Tyler Moore?!??...no way. Yer not the "next" anyone. Yer the present you. And that's a good thing
Tina, you didn't invent glasses. This is what I thought: You are a great writer and made weekend update laugh-out-loud comedy, but this episode was not funny. I didnt think it was as intelligent as it could have been. I felt like the humor was directed towards the lowest common denominator. When you looked at the screen and said "hes got charisma," I was waiting for a stripper to say "Im charisma" or something. You can obviously produce witty, insightful comedy, but this just seemed like big humor. Seinfeld and The Office and Freaks and Geeks blaze trails for sitcoms and you are capable of that too. Rachel Dratch was hillarious on the show. So was fake jimmy Fallon. I know you arent actually going to read this, but throwing the water bottle at Baldwin was funny too. Tina, invent glasses!
Great show! Totally excited about more. TRACY MORGAN IS FUNNY AS HELL!! Yean for Tina Fey on the stipper pole! LMAO!
I miss Chicago too- oltown and second city rock! seriously I want to work on the show and have great experience tina. call me .
Tina, you need to keep the Pete charactor on the show. He will keep your Liz Lemon balanced.
Hey, if you're ever looking for a non famous person from Vermont to cameo I'm in.
Hey T.
YOU'RE PROBABLY OVERWHELMED AT THIS POINT AND GETTING READY FOR LOST - BUT I WANTED TO SAY GOOD JOB ON THE PREMIER. MY DAD WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL WITH YOUR DAD AND THEY ARE STILL IN TOUCH THROUGH EMAIL. WE WATCHED YOU INSTEAD OF THE HINDENBERG. GOOD JOB.
JOE/
Tina, it must have been intimidating to premiere this show three weeks after that other SNL-type-spoof, Studio 60. Have you been nervous? How do you keep focused?
Ur a great writter!!!! I have recently graduated with my film and video production degree and am now living in chicago. Any advice for a female tryen to break into this industry? luv the show best of luck u deserve it!
Tina, the first episode was a really good start and I anticipate future shows to only get better. I am curious as to how far in advance you have plotted the course of this series as far as how the characters develop, etc. Thanks.
I'm glad GE is not responsible for this blog because my comments went under the name of Juan. Under my name the comment was about your dancing. Anyway, congratulations on the new show. I was a Tech Geek working in the scene shop and occasionally pushing the button on the light board (Much Ado About Nothing). Do you see anyone else from UVA? I'm glad to see you are doing so well. Congrats again.
Jimmy could play the pitiful ex-boyfriend of Tina's character. Lives with his mom, worships Tina, even though they only dated for 2 weeks.
The show was AWFUL. I kept hoping it would get beeter but it never did. It was predictable, mindless and reminded me of the Tracy A. show. VERY DISAPOINTED in NBC for wasting my time.
Tina,
Congratulations on your new show! What a cast...
Will miss you on SNL, but look forward to tuning into 30-rock weekly
Tina,
I was so looking forward to the show, and it was great! You really put together a cast (first and foremost, Alec Baldwin!) with so much room to explore things. Well, I never told anyone this idea, but I think I might have sent you some good vibes about the cat skit! I had an idea for SNL where some "powers that be" at Discovery Channel pressure Cesar Milan - the Dog Whisperer - to add a second show to his workload - The Cat Whisperer! Of course, I had my idea before Horatio Sanz left the show - who would have been perfect, with the ensuing chaos and uncontrollable cats wreaking havoc! Well, I love your work and look forward to next week's show. (Any chance of every doing a more serious show or special where we can really see how you put stories and skits together?! As an aspiring writer, I would be glued to it.)
David
Tina, the show is brilliant. You have the perfect combination, Tracy, Alec and yourself. I have not laughed so hard in such a long time.
What do you enjoy most about writing for television and how does writing for a sitcom compare to writing for SNL?
love Tina Fey's sense of humor. It rings true in the show. I laughed out loud at least 8 times and at different characters. My favorite was Tracy doing the Jedi Knight in his undies. Still chuckling over that. You can tell that wasn't the first time Tina's worked it with strippers. What did she do pre-SNL? Probably something boring like school. I'll keep watching when I'm not saving lives and such.
Great show! I am looking forward to seeing how it progress. By the way I know a young Man that may be a great help on or off the stage. His name is Jeff Maksym and he lives in Brooklyn.
Cast of SNL, Connan'O brien
were there any other shows or movies or anything (besides snl) that inspired the feel of the show?
what shows do love to watch?
Tina, you are absolutely hilarious and talented, it's ridiculous! you make me laugh too much!
Hey, if you're ever looking for a non famous person from Vermont cameo I'm in
The show has promise and I love all the "Chicago" talent being used.
However the G.E. bit was kind of weak and I imagine lost some bite in rewrites.
It screamed to be more satirical
Very cool show! I want more!
Cast is great! I love there's no laugh track.
Thank you! What a wonderful fresh new show. The writing is crisp and quick, without losing intelligence.
I laughed almost the entire time. This just looks like it is a joy to come to work everyday. Keep it up.
Again, thank you
tina
you're one of my favorite people in the world. you're funny, witty, increably smart, beautiful, and the ulitmate nerd. if you weren't married, i'll date you. love the show, defenliety sticking around for a while love you! SNL is not the same without you
Ur a great writter!!!! I have recently graduated with my film and video production degree and am now living in chicago. Any advice for a female tryen to break into this industry? luv the show best of luck u deserve it!
Tina, the show is brilliant. You have the perfect combination, Tracy, Alec and yourself. I have not laughed so hard in such a long time.
Jimmy should play your wild out of work lil brother from Cleveland.
Do you have a season long commitment from NBC or does the show have to sweat out a pickup for a full season?
It felt good to laugh that much for a change! Great writing and a great cast! My wife and I will be following this show no matter where NBC moves it!
Why is the Studio 60 show better and you were head writer of SNL?
Cast of SNL
Ur a great writter!!!! I have recently graduated with my film and video production degree and am now living in chicago. Any advice for a female tryen to break into this industry? luv the show best of luck u deserve it!
too good for network tv.
Jimmy should play your wild out of work lil brother from Cleveland.
what shows do love to watch?
Was Rachel re-cast since the teasers were shot?
Yes, yes, yes, finally, a fun show and loved you even more for the STAND U took at the HOT DOG STAND.
Can't wait till next week.
I'm telling everyone I know and see about 30 ROCK. Why:
My daughter Lisa was taped
dealing cards in one of the episodes. She's such a DYNAMITE GIRL and it'd be a dream come true for me her mom to see Lisa again on the show and for your show to be SUPER SUCCCESSFUL. I'm going to personally be your very own walking-talking PUBLIC RELATIONS PERSON. GOOD LUCK!
Love the show. You and all the cast are in good hands. Exeptional work from Mr. Baldwin will boost the shows fan base as word spreads. Was wondering if you or any of the cast would be interested in assisting NASCAR and the Official NASCAR Members Club raise funds for the Victory Junction Gang Camp for the Christmas season. Please holler at me if you think you would be interseted in being seen and heard by more than 75 MILLION fans of the biggest sport in the world. Let me know. Micahel Hayes President ONMC LC719211

Tina, are you writing any new movies or is the show consuming all of your time? I loved Tim Meadows principal character in Mean Girls.
Ur a great writter!!!! I have recently graduated with my film and video production degree and am now living in chicago. Any advice for a female tryen to break into this industry? luv the show best of luck u deserve it!
I loved the show; it’s hilarious! You’re awesome Tina!!!
Oh crap, I asked about your best material, not about your clevage :(
Damn you internet!
great show, great cast, great writing. congratulations and much success! any chance i could get a picture of the entire cast autographed? Lori
Tina Fey...who would be your ideal person to get guest star on your show?(other than me?)
Hello Tina!
I thought your show and the cast were fantastic! Looking forward to many more!!
David
How is it that you were the head writer on SNL and Aaron Sorkin writes a better and funnier show about SNL?
hi tina,
how did you get started writing and what inspired you to move beyond SNL to start this great show?
Tina Fey,
You rock! The show was hysterical as I expected! Loved the cast! You are really lucky to have gotten Alec Baldwin- he has great comedic delivery. Good luck with the show.
I'm glad to see you are doing so well. Congrats again.
Brilliant! I truly enjoyed the show. What is the inspiration behind your work?
This is totally unorthodox, but will you give me my dream job please? All I have ever wanted to do is write. I could work my way up if you want though. I could start as your designated driver/ donut fetcher/page boy if you want. You could make someones life goal come true just by saying, yes. What do you say Ms. Tina Fey?
